"The Southern seafood restaurant wanted to “reintroduce true Charleston hospitality” to the Lowcountry. The Mount Pleasant restaurant has gone on to be a popular dinner spot for local sustainable seafood and many, many flavors of grit. Grace & Grit also serves as a brunch destination, located east of the Cooper River." - Erin Perkins

Upon visiting Grace & Grit in the fair town of Mount Pleasant, I was most heartily impressed. The grit flight, a veritable sampler of the South’s finest fare, was a triumph — the red beans and rice grits, in particular, stirred my spirit like a bugle call at dawn. The breads were of fine size and splendid flavor, a worthy companion to the meal. The shrimp and grits entrée was of exceptional quality, seasoned with the kind of care one might expect from a devoted Southern cook tending to Sunday supper. We took our leisure upon the patio, where the breeze was kind, and the service rendered to us was as genteel and attentive as any I have known. A fine establishment indeed. I shall return with haste.

I recently dined at Grace & Grit, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! It has a charming decor that perfectly complements the low country costal feel. Now, let's talk about the food! Their grits options are nothing short of amazing. I tried the shrimp and grits, and it was the best I've ever had—creamy, flavorful, and the shrimp were cooked to perfection. They also offer a variety of other Southern staple dishes that are equally impressive. The chicken and waffles is a must-try; it’s crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, the topping on the waffles is absolutely delicious. If you're looking for a place that serves delicious Southern cuisine with a beautiful setting and exceptional service, Grace & Grit is the one.

We had our daughter’s baby shower at Grace & Grit and could not have asked for a better experience! Eli and her team were so impressive, the food was amazing, and the venue itself is beautiful! The Camilla Room is a nice private area for any event like a baby shower, rehearsal dinner, or bridal shower. I wanted a rustic look and everything came out perfectly! It’s been two weeks since our event and people are still reaching out to say how good the food was and how beautiful it all turned out. We even had a last minute dietary restriction that the team immediately whipped up a new dish and brought out hot. Thanks Eli and all of Grace & Grit for a perfect shower for our daughter!

Google
Loved it. A comfort menu. I like this location and design and build out. They have an interesting chef table facing the kitchen as well. The food is flavorful and probably the best grits in Charleston. They also have a variety of grits to sample. I had the Shrimp and Grits with to additional poached eggs on top for brunch. I will return. It’s a winner.

Google
What a hidden gem! A long-time local recommended this spot, and I had an amazing Easter brunch with my family here. Not only did our server go above and beyond, but the food was incredible! We got the Charleston Hot Fried Chicken Benedict, the John’s Island Fried Green Tomato Benedict, and, of course, Chicken and Waffles. I highly suggest updating your side to one of their gourmet grits!

Google
Overall: One of the best meals I've had in Mount Pleasant! The good: All of the flavors are incredible, from the cocktails and grit flight to the entrees and dessert. Yes the grits are the highlight (still thinking about the pesto and blueberry options specifically), but so are the proteins too. The fried chicken was crispy and fresh, and the several fish that we had were all cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is cozy yet trendy, and the staff was attentive and informative (and they kept our toddler entertained). Capped off the great night with a complimentary anniversary creme brulee! The not-so-good: Obviously the prices are a little high, but the quality shows as well as the attention to detail. Food/drink: 9.5/10 Atmosphere: 9/10 Service: 9.5/10

Google
Amazing first night around Charleston. There were many large groups but our server took good care of us and the food was hot & fresh. The grit flight was delicious, we customized and the ‘red rice’ and Brussels pesto were not to be missed. My husband loved the shrimp & grits. I had shrimp and succotash - so light, fresh, and flavorful.

Google
Cocktails were so delicious. Perfection! We had the special wreck fish Dijon style prepared and the beef short rib. Unbelievably delicious . Atmosphere and service were impeccable. Our newest go to restaurant in Mt.Pleasant.

Yelp
A flight of grits was what makes this establishment a special dining experience during my visit to Charleston. And I loved the idea there was 10+ versions of grits to dress up your flights. Flights are not only for alcoholic beverages but to have the flavors come in: jalapeno, cheddar, peach, berry, gouda, shrimp mainly and any other seafood flavor, just fabulous. And shrimp and grits is a Charleston SC signature. Did not know this. I came here during a busy season for Charleston and finding a restaurant with Southern comforts for a party of 5 was challenging on a Saturday. But was happy we got to secure a reservation and get the private dining room experience. Our server was very attentive to our needs because our group was picky on the main course, the selection of drinks and what dishes were in season. The soft shell crab and grits were the best this place offered and it was great to know we were in the last season for Charleston to have localized crab. The tenderness, size and fresh quality was so good we ended up getting 3 plates of it, even before we made it to the entrees. The grits were all very loaded, rich in texture and the right amount of thick coating. Every flavor we had was better than the last. I can see why this place named itself Grace & Grit. Wine picks were superb and even the recommended types of whiskey the Front of House director himself came out to guide us on. Loved everything about this place and how knowledgeable the staff was to make our visit grand. I would come back to this restaurant to try any other in-season seafood dishes they have to offer. This place did make me leave happy knowing I checked off a chance to try great southern comfort cuisine.

Yelp
Convenient location, easy parking, trendy rustic decor, friendly/solid service, great food, and reasonable prices for quantity - worth it for a fun outing, and a favorite of many locals. Insane (in such a great way) how many ways you can flavor and plus up grits! Fried Green Tomatoes: We had fried green tomatoes earlier in the day, and these fell a little short. We got these off the happy hour menu, so we were missing the pimento cheese, which may have improved this offering. The happy hour version only comes with the bacon jam, which was tasty and a good complement to the fried green tomatoes. But the tomatoes were cut in relatively thick chunks, and so while the fried crust was delicious, the tomatoes were still more undercooked than perfectly cooked. Fried Chicken Livers: The dirty grits, paired with smoked tomato sauce were so perfectly seasoned and tasty, and was great with the fried chicken livers. The fried chicken livers had a thin coating on it so that the crust didn't overwhelm the delicacy of the livers, and none of it was overcooked so that the livers were still tender and delicious. If you're a fan of livers, this is a must order. Shrimp & Grits: The gouda grits were good, the shrimp were fresh and tender. We replaced the green peppers with collard greens, but instead of replacing, they gave us a side of collard greens and charged us for a side. So substitutions don't seem to be as acceptable at this restaurant but still good service. Fried Chicken & Grits: The fried chicken was delicious, but was a little overly fried so that the crust was a bit thicker than I would've liked and some of the chicken was overdone, when there were thinner portions of chicken. The red grits were delicious though, and the collard greens that came with it, mixed in, were very rich altogether.

Yelp
This was our first time dining here for dinner. I really like the menu where you can pick your fish and your presentation, and OF COURSE, your grits, if you want. We all ordered the pan seared presentation, but I had the wreckfish, which is a local fish and a personal favorite, my husband had the scallops and our son had the salmon. I also swapped out my grits for the garlic and goat cheese, which was a good choice. Unfortunately, my fish was slightly overcooked in my opinion and I thought it was dry. My husband's scallops were delicious and my son didn't let me touch his food . We also ordered a wedge salad to share that never came. They did offer for us to take one home, on the house, which we accepted, and it was tasty! I also had a delicious cocktail, but the overcooked fish cost them a star. I'll probably try dinner again, though, because, well, mistakes happen.

Yelp
We have had grace and grit bookmarked since moving to the area and the restaurant did not disappoint! They have an open air patio with fans that is super cute and despite the humid weather we braved the elements. My wife and I both ordered the shrimp and crab bisque absolutely amazing. It paired nicely with the pistachio mai tai! Yum! For dinner my wife had the scallops, which were huge and I ordered the market tilefish, mouth watering! The service was outstanding and we left stuffed! Such a great place in our area! Excited to come back!!

Courtney L.

Yelp
Everything was excellent and fresh. I got the Caesar salad and smoked Gouda Mac and cheese. For the table we had the succotash as well as the grit flight. The pesto and pimento grits were my favorite from the flight. The Mac was super creamy and had curly noodles which I loved. My mom got some kind of fish that she said was very fresh and tasty. Service was excellent and our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu. We sat inside and the ambiance was very nice. Dimmed lights but not so dark you couldn't see. The restaurant has a lot of outside seating as well.

Luke G.

Yelp
Top notch service in MTP. I had the tomahawk pork chop not pictured and it was cooked to perfection. The bacon jam is amazing. Do not skip the boiled peanuts succotash. Repeat do not skip.

Kris L.

Yelp
Loved our dinner! We started with baked Brie and the local spring salad. The salad was a meal in itself with grilled asparagus, fresh peas, watermelon radish and tender fresh baby greens with a light vinaigrette, healthy and refreshing. The Brie dish had a subtle sweetness from the caramelized onion and beets, also delicious. I had the flounder with amazing smoky tasting grits mixed with local carrots and more fresh peas. So good and very large, I took some home. Hubby had the shrimp and succotash which was also excellent. He also took some home in order to save room for the excellent desserts - coconut grits crème brûlée, and for me local raspberry sorbet that had bits of fresh raspberry and a nice creamy texture. The building is also nice with spacious high ceilings and the staff were friendly and attentive.

Jacob R.

Yelp
Wow. What a great place. The food. The service. The ambiance. We are visiting and will prob be back during our trip. Collin helped us and he was very attentive and friendly. The old fashioned drinks are amazing. The grits are bomb.

Grace E.

Yelp
Had such a good dinner here! Our server, Brooke, was excellent!!! We ordered 3 appetizers and each one was amazing! I highly recommend the grit flight & the fried oysters Rockefeller. Cocktails were super tasty and you should definitely get the hazelnut Old Fashioned if you decide to come here. All 4 of us were super pleased with our entrees. One person in our party could not have red meat and our server was more than happy to make substitutions for him! This isn't my first time here, but I know why I'll keep coming back! Love the seating inside and outside as well. Would make a reservation on a weekend night.

Saundra J.

Yelp
Location is in Mount Pleasant off the main road but surrounded by hotels which definitely works for tourists. I felt the prices were high during brunch and the menu is very limited for someone who doesn't eat egg or pork products. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits without the ham and Gouda grits. I'm sure what cheese was added as it didn't taste like Gouda cheese was added to my grits. Overall the food was ok but unfortunately I won't be returning as I felt the pries were too high

Jennifer F.

Yelp
What an amazing place. The service and ambience is top notch. The food was fantastic. We will definitely be back and we will bring friends.

Yelp
My girlfriends and I went to Grace & Grit for brunch last weekend, since none of us had been there in a year or so. My friend who was super hungry got the Fried Green Tomato Benedict with the Cheesy Skillet Mash as her side and she was definitely full after eating that. The portion was huge with several fried green tomatoes, and a huge pile of bacon, seriously, enough bacon for all three of us to share with some leftover! I wasn't super hungry, so I got their Caesar Salad. It was really tasty, but I thought the portion was a little small. My other girlfriend got the Smoked Fish Dip, and we all had some bites of that, and it was really fresh and delicious! We also got the mimosa flight that had different juices to try with your champagne. I'm a traditional kinda gal, so I just asked for a side of OJ for mine and let my lady friends try out the other juices. We were also a little disappointed that they were out of their hash and the huevos rancheros, as that what what my friend and I were planning on ordering originally.

Desmond P.

Yelp
The food was amazing!!! The waitress Andrea needs to be running that restaurant. Very helpful and knowledgeable about the entire menu. I tried a few flavors of their grits and I must say I can't pick which is my favorite. The decor was also on point. The pimento flavored grits with the hot checked is a MUST HAVE!!!!!

Jessi M.

Yelp
Man, this is probably one of my most favorite places, ever. If I lived in Charleston, this would be an every Wednesday dinner. My husband is in town for work so I came with my mom and kiddos to visit. I happened to join a FB group that shared Happy Hours and someone posted about the $20 specials on Wednesdays. I'm glad we made it a point to give this a try because literally everything was so great!! I honestly can't say enough good things about this place. My dish, my mom's, my husband's and even my son's food was all fantastic. The ambiance is great, the services is super friendly and attentive (and even accommodating to food allergies). This is an over MUST if you are looking for a great dinner near Charleston. Perfect for the whole family!!

Tori H.

Yelp
Everyone there was super friendly and we felt welcomed in the high end, but relaxed atmosphere. I came here wanting to try the shrimp and grits but also had a flight of grits that literally blew my mind! Every flavor was delicious and I can't recommend this place enough! Left there very impressed by my meal and hoping to return in the future to try the other flavors.

Vanessa G.

Yelp
Great service and food! The food was like a home cook meal. Come here if you're in the area.

Bob S.

Yelp
When i got the check they added a fee for credit card use No prior announcement or signs Fees are a cost of doing business not paid by customer !! I dont expect to pay their electric bill !!! Portion were small for the price Had scallops Only 3 Will never go back and will tell all 83 of my work mates !!!!

Yelp
I'm so glad I came here - The best She Crab Soup & sweet southern breads made a great meal for my last night in Carolinas. Great Service & Hospitality. Nice drinks & Entertainment- I'll be back

Yelp
Our most expensive meal on our recent East Coast trip was here. I made a reservation on Resy for 5:30pm on a Saturday after taking the red eye. We drove over after spending the afternoon at Patriot Point museum which was close by. I didn't plan it this way but it worked out. We were led to a table by the hostess. Soon after we were greeted by a server who asked us for our drink orders and reviewed the specials. Hubby & I both went with local beers. We started with the grits flight and 1/2 dozen Sandy Beach raw oysters. The grits flight was excellent- two sweet and two savory ones. Very creamy and smooth. We enjoyed the oysters too. Dinner entrees - * hubby went with the southern fried chicken dinner plate * I ordered the fish special - grilled sheepshead white fillet dinner plate. We ended up switching half way through as hubby thought his sides were too sweet. I love sweets so no brainer for me. Dessert was the key lime tart. Enough for two. We ended up with some tips for good eats in Hilton Head from one of our servers who just moved from there. A very nice first meal in Lowcountry. .

Ryan E.

Yelp
My first 5 star review. Everything about this experience was exceptional. I was greeted and treated as a friend when I walked in. Server did the same. I sat outside and enjoyed the breeze - a nice patio! And the food... I grew up down the road in Savannah and I have traveled all over the southeast (from Miami to east TN to Mississippi) for 12 years, this is one of two meals I've ever had on the road in which I was speechless. Every element of the shrimp and grits was perfect. The flavor, the freshness, all of it. I've been shrimping and cooked the shrimp on the boat and this is the closest approximation I've had to that experience. Caesar salad and key lime pie were also wonderful. Shoutout to the staff and chefs here - my highest recommendation.

Esther W.

Yelp
Grace &Grit was the perfect place to have our last Charleston meal. We basically ordered all the highlights - the grit flight, fried green tomatoes, wedge salad, and seafood purloo. The grit flight was so interesting! I've never been a huge fan of grits (mostly because of the calories) but it was fascinating to try an assortment of different flavored grits - pimento cheese, brussels pesto, apricot dreamsicle, and blueberry. Surprisingly, my husband who is usually a fan of savory foods, liked the blueberry and apricot flavors the best. The fried green tomatoes were also presented in a novel way - quartered and each piece battered and fried, with dip-your-own pimento cheese and green tomato bacon jam. It was a "deconstructed" version of other fried green tomatoes we've tried on our trip. It was also the largest fried green tomato appetizer we've ever seen! We also had to get the seafood purloo, as we had not tried Caroline gold rice yet, and also wanted to eat as much seafood in South Carolina as we could. It was hearty and they did not skimp on the meat. Sadly we could not finish the entire dish and our hotel fridge was not cold enough for us to take it home. Service was great and the ambiance is incredibly elevated for the area. Highly recommend this place in Mount Pleasant!

Yelp
Grace & Grit is where it's at!! My wife wanted to check out this place after seeing a post on a FB page. On our first visit, we came here with her mom and our kids. Each of us got the entree special since it was $20 on Wednesday. The best part, we all got to try something completely different! I went to change the baby and when I got back, my wife had chosen my entree. I should have known it was going to be delicious because she usually chooses well for me. She chose the Blackened Blackbass and I was more than happy with her choice. For our toddler, we decided on the fried shrimp with sweet potato fries. He's never eaten anything that wasn't vegan and I'll tell ya, this was his first time at seafood and I was a proud papa that he loved the shrimp. When I tried a piece, I immediately knew why. It was sooo good; and those sweet potato fries were the best I've ever had! Makes me want to order a kids Fried Shrimp & Sweet Potato Fries meal myself! Well we all loved this place so much, we knew we had to come back at least once again during this trip. Valentine's Day was the perfect opportunity! We made early reservations for a date night with just me and the wife. I called ahead of time to see if there was a corkage fee, which is $20. I brought a nice bottle of Cab and a fresh bouquet of roses. Both of our meals were phenomenal and we were able to try something completely different. The chef really did it up and I'm happy to say that this was a Valentine's Day for the books!!

Yelp
THIS IS ONE YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS... 6-stars if i could The place was exceptionally clean from the silverware you could see your face in to the men's room. The napkins, had no rancid smell. Considering the material they were made of; often in other restaurants they do develop a rancid smell . Now for the meal, it was exceptional. The Beef rib, although only one, had plenty of meat on it and tender as can be. The wife enjoyer the lobster tails along with her desert scoop of homemade ice cream. I sampled the cheese cake, but after a full meal , it was hard to finish. The evaluation , I will be back and will refer my friends here. It's not often the restaurant scores a perfect 100 in my book

Carmen E.

Yelp
At first we weee surprised to hear that they were booked till 830 pm at 630 pm for a party of 8 but they sat us outside but we enjoyed all the appetizers and entry were so good. We recommend this place. Management was great also checking in on us.

Tammy B.

Yelp
This was a lovely find, thank you Yelp and you all's reviews. From the moment we walked through the clean architecturally designed doors to our table, we were well received with enthusiasm . Our host, waitress , and even the Manager's attention was so spot on with knowledge and pride of the establishment . We enjoyed the fresh seafood, the Chef's recommendation and unfortunately no room for dessert. We will be back for sure. Go early or make reservations because the tables go fast.

Shannon B.

Yelp
Grit flight! Food, drinks and service were all excellent! Very lovely restaurant, so happy we found.

Kelly D.

Yelp
Grace and Grit is an awesome spot for a special occasion, the inside is furnished beautifully and the food is spot on. We ordered drinks, grit flight (I love all of the variety in the grit flavors), and I ended up ordering the shrimp and grits gluten free. Everything was delicious and the service was good, however it seemed very expensive and overpriced for the type of restaurant. We loved everything however it would take another special occasion for us to return.

Elizabeth H.

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere, service, food, and cocktails. Our server, Colin, was friendly, attentive, and gave great recommendations for drinks and dinner. As my husband put it, "I have no complaints about this place - it was perfect."

Doris L.

Yelp
We saw lots of good reviews and decided to try this place for our last night at Charleston before we headed back home. We arrived during weekend 6:40pm and without reservation, but we were able to get seated with some high chairs near the bar without waiting. We ordered the Dockside Mocktaili, seafood purloo, wedge salad and Chef creation with Salmon in Rockefeller style (blackened style with fried oyster and traditional spinach grits) The service is great and our server Karly has a good personality and made recommendations for us for our first time visit. The food are so delicious: - The Wedge salad has bacon pieces taste perfectly - The seafood purloo has a huge seared scallop which tastes amazing. It has lots of seafood and sausage as well - The salmon is juicy and blackened perfectly. The fried oyster are delicious and the grit with spinach are just perfect - the Mocktaili is refreshing and if you want to skip the alcohol, this will be your order This is a must try restaurant of you are in Mount Pleasant and Charleston area. Will definitely visit again to try other food and the grit flight.

Joseph M.

Yelp
The food was amazing. All the food was flavorful and perpared as requested. The service was excellent. We were seated immediately upon arrival. The decor was great. This is a must try location. I definitely will be back.

Lena G.

Yelp
We love G&G and try to make it over here when we're in the Charleston area! It happened to be restaurant week and I was able to try a little of everything. The appetizer was a fish dip and I was a fan! I was surprised with how much flavor and balance ratio of dressing, Parmesan cheese, and lettuce there was on Caesar salad. Shrimp and grits, well you know, the greatest ever. Don't pass up this place in you're in the area!

Kelly C.

Yelp
I hold G&G in high regard and frequently recommend this as a great dining choice for anyone visiting Charleston. A recent visit, however, left quite a bit to be desired. We had a large group (15ish) and had made reservations weeks before. They were great at getting us in pretty close to our reserved time which is not always easy as people can take their dear sweet time at brunch. They put us at two tables next to each other since they couldn't fit us all at one large table (I prefer this, anyway!). We had one server to handle our whole group which has never really been an issue before, although they may have been in over their head this time. I ordered the s'mores martini off of the drink menu. It had just been advertised as brand new the night before. When our server came back, they brought a different drink and said they didn't have the s'mores special. I was taken a little aback as I would have expected them to say "We don't have this; would this drink be ok instead or do you want to choose something else?". It was strange to me that they made a different drink and served it instead, especially since the drink was a pistachio drink and so many people have nut allergies. When my bill came, I was charged for the drink. That's fine, honestly, since the drink was consumed, but I definitely didn't expect to pay for a drink that I didn't order. The other big hiccup was that we were treated as two parties when we were all together. The first table placed their orders and got their food before our table had even put in our food orders. By the time we got our food, most of the people at the first table had paid for their food and about half of them had left. We got there at 11:30 and I did not get my food until 1pm. I had to cancel my afternoon plans because it took so much longer than I had expected. When I got my check, I had been combined with someone else at my table so we had to wait again for the checks to be split. I've had some great experiences at G&G so I am not writing them off. I am hoping our server was just having an off day and that this is not typical for their service level. The food was delicious, of course, and the apple cider sangria is a new favorite drink.

Wemdy K.

Yelp
Great service amazing food great place to meet friends and family. Very welcoming especially Scott.

Ty R.

Yelp
Food and service were great! Highly recommend for brunch, lunch or any time! Lots of other stuff than grits too!

Hannah B.

Yelp
Delicious spot for brunch. We got the Fried Chicken with biscuits and gravy and grits on the side. Everything was great. The service was also good - we had our suitcases with us and they held them behind the front counter for us while we ate. Highly recommend!

Raymond B.

Yelp
Wow, this could have been a 4 star but no customer should ever have to pay for a restaurants cost of doing business. Expecting customers to pay 3.5% CC fee has always been the part for the business to work in the price of food. I've eaten at the Grits Counter on Montague before and I have noticed this as well but when I choose to come here it was a huge rip off. We were charged $5.00 for a kids OJ, $4.00 for kids Chocolate milk and $8.00 for the fruit that was supposed to be included with the kids meal. The meal was tasty but it was not worth the price, the over medium eggs were cooked well done and the ham was so salty we couldn't eat them. They did replace the eggs but the second set was just nearly over medium like she asked and rather wait again she ate them as they were. I did appreciate the military discount but it was only for me and not the bill. This was a one and done.

Jeff O.

Yelp
Thank you Frank for reading my review and responding quickly. You're the best and can't wait to come back and enjoy your wonderful Resturant.

P A.

Yelp
The service was excellent. The food was very good. Grits were great! We sat at the chef's table so we were able to watch all the action in the kitchen. Next time I go, I'll bypass the entrees and enjoy a variety of apps and sides cause they were all so yummy!

E A.

Yelp
Loved the fried chicken, and pesto grits! I got the grit flight and probably could've skipped that because I wasn't a fan of the sweet dessert type grits. Hushpupppies were my favorite!

Misty P.

Yelp
Put this place in your must hit breakfast/ brunch places! The options were plentiful, every dish delicious (even if a bit cold when it hit our table). We were sat by the servers station, I know someone has to sit there, but felt like they stood there staring haha. Modern decor. Food was also nicely presented.

Cherise N.

Yelp
Pistachio Mai Tai, large portions and grit flight- amazing, you won't be disappointed

Patsy D.

Yelp
Incredible food, especially the grits. Great Key Lime Pie. Great atmosphere and service.

Paul Z.

Yelp
We went there on a Thursday night. It was 8 o'clock and the place was still busy nice atmosphere as usual. Our waiter. Cody was immediately friendly and excellent service. He went through the specials menu and I ordered the swordfish. My wife ordered the seafood, frog more stew for cocktails my wife had the Honeysuckle martini and I had the Italian Pilsner. Both were good time. Everything was excellent when I saw my wife dinner. I thought I'd get lunch the next day unfortunately that did not happen. Was clean for dessert. We split the pie and got her chocolate rush out of a martini everything was excellent as usual.

Steven W.

Yelp
Disappointing. I had the black sea bass prepared pan-seared. It was just ok. Fish was cooked well, but the other ingredients didn't add to the dish at all. The high point of the plate was the grits. My wife has shrimp and grits which was also nothing special.

St George S.

Yelp
Service Food I am not a fan of grits until dinner at Grace and Grits . The meal exceeded our expectations. Our server was knowledgeable and her recommendations were on point. The grits was creamy and flavorful. The blueberry grits had me lost for words . My taste buds were dancing for hours. The Blackened flounder and pan roasted vegetables was delicious and fresh !!!! Highly recommended Our meal Grit Flight Chef creation Flounder ( locally source) Pan Roasted vegetables Pecan Cheesecake

Mother & Daughter night out at a very nice restaurant in Mount Pleasant. We didn't have reservations but it's recommended. It was a bit crowded when we got there but we were seated quite quickly. They have a very nice well stocked bar with over 300 brands of bourbon. They also have patio dining. The decor was very nice. They also have outdoor dining. The very caring manager walked around the room welcoming the dining patrons. Delicious dinner with an EXCELLENT server AJ! We started off with a bowl of corn crab chowder. It was pretty good but not what I was used to. Our next choice was a iceberg lettuce that was very chilled and delicious. The blue cheese dressing was AMAZING. You'll want more! I started ask them if it was offered to get a go order!! it was that good. My daughter had a Chef's special Wreckfish Étouffée- The Wreckfish was Delicious! I had a chef special with blackened shrimp and fried oysters. It was pretty good except a little bit too spicy for me with the blackened shrimp. The oysters were delicious! All of this over Gouda grits. Did I say grits? They can be fixed anyway possible from savory to sweet. You might not think it's good but it's delicious try it. Needless to say no room for some NICE looking desserts!!!! Looking forward to having another SPECIAL reason to go. I saw the shrimp platters go by - OH MY! That will be my next go to dinner. Their menu offers many choices not just seafood and it's kid friendly. They have ample parking and handicap access. If you're looking for a new dining experience this is the place.

Yelp
Late Sunday brunch and this place was definitely busy! I recommend making a reservation as we called a few days before and the only time available for 4 people was 1:00. Our server recommended the Special Eggs Benedict which was phenomenal! Excellent flavors of the pickled red onions, kale, short rib and Hollandaise sauce. I also tried the tea (1/2 unsweetened and 1/2 sweet peach tea) which was good.

Yelp
Delicious selections, all locally sourced (when possible... And then, closest they can get to home). Great flavor combos of the Southern staples. Grits in all shapes and sizes, colors and sensations. Happened to stumble upon their Insta post for pre-pandemic pricing! What a steal of a deal ... Check out their Instagram for details Wed-Fri during August... Just saying ... #hottip #deal #discount Everything was quite rich, so come ready to pack on the pounds and drown your sorrows in some divine dinner dishes... Wear your stretchy pants or be prepared for leftovers! Fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese and green mater bacon jam paired perfectly together... When eaten alone we're great but combining them opens up a whole new world of flavor... These maters have layers... The Wedge salad was phenomenal... Crispy lettuce, rich homemade blue cheese, big fat lardons and sundried tomatoes... All set off with a perfect 6 minute egg. You can definitely split this one. Or have lunch for the next day! The wreck fish was amazing in the Etoufee Style served with rice to compliment the savory sauce of the dish... And a grit ball akin to it's sister the boudin ball will have you thinking you're elevated to New Orleans. The shrimp Rockafeller style was amazing too....I did manage to sneak a bite or two with the subtle Pandon sauce-wine, butter, lemon, cream sauce, but this wasn't overly rich. Everything was so amazing and unfortunately we didn't have room for desert but we saw some go by and it looked heavenly.

Yelp
I loved this place. Came for breakfast, great service, great food, fun ambience. We got the flight of grits, as both of us have never really liked them before but to our surprise we both really liked it. Got some fried chicken, red grits, and brussels, and it was bombbbb. Surprisingly the part I liked the least of that plate was the chicken, not to say it was bad, but the other components were just that much better. And we got a special eggs benedict, and it was just out of this world. We were so full we had to sit for a minute to regain enough brain function during the food coma to be able to walk ourselves out.

Yelp
Amazing, knowledgeable bartenders, eager and capable of sharing their immense expertise. A bar tab hits to three figures pretty quickly, but they have excellent, top shelf, bourbon and whiskey's along with original cocktails, authored by their talented bartenders.
