"Gracia is a colorful Mexican restaurant in Ballard where you’ll find some very tasty tacos and cocktails we’d consume any day of the week. There are plenty of big booths you can reserve, which are ideal locations to pass around stiff strawberry margaritas and delicious enchiladas suizas. We like the rockfish and lamb barbacoa tacos, but the chicken tinga steals the show - kind of like Elaine’s karaoke performance of “Forever Young.”" - aimee rizzo

You’ll find tasty fillings like grilled chicken, cinnamon-kicked cochinita pibil, lamb barbacoa, and a phenomenal smoked pork belly special that really just needs to be on the permanent menu at this point. The margaritas have the perfect balance of booze and additions like guava or strawberry, and we love their salsa served with thick, just-fried chips. "Gracia is the break-glass-in-case-of-emergency restaurant for Mexican food, slurping tequila, and feeling a little fancy. (But please do mind the glassware.) A large order of chips and guacamole is $12, which isn’t bad in the grand scheme of things, all of the tacos are served a la carte, and their excellent chicken enchiladas suizas are $22. Enjoy among the artisanal metal tiling, caged-in light fixtures, and those snazzy glasses that have a cobalt blue rim." - aimee rizzo
"The tacos at this popular Ballard spot celebrate local and sustainable meat and seafood and come on masa made from Oaxaca-grown heirloom corn. These are relatively high-end tacos (Gracia is a sit-down place), but worth the $7 price. The bar here has a fantastic tequila and mezcal selection." - Mark DeJoy
