Graham & Rollins Hampton Seafood Market

I’m not surprised this place has been open for so long. It’s “pretty good”. Definitely better than any chain restaurant. The fish wasn’t seasoned to my liking, but still fried well. Sides were great. Wasn’t sure if it was a bad batch of hush puppies or theirs are always so dense, but I prefer light and fluffy hush puppies. I do believe I’ll stop in for another try.

The wife and I had been in NY for the past 9months but talked about the foods we missed, so after being home for 4 days we went to get our soft shell crab sandwich from G & R. This sammich is a soft shell crab on a bun with a crab cake, bacon, lettuce and tomatoe. And of course I added some of their BoomBoom sauce. 🥰👀. We usually get one during the summer to satisfy that craving. This thing is no joke. I have eaten other items off of their menu but this is my go to. I drove 4 1/2hrs to Md to get this same sandwhich a few years back, but in Md I paid $48 per sandwich, all because wifey say that place on the Food Network. G&R got this thing for $17 without the 4hr drive. I'll makw sure I get me another before the season ends.

100% pure unadulterated doo doo, dumpster juice or just plain ol garbage, today was the first time I came to this place I've been hearing good things about this place so me and my coworker were working in the area and decided to stop by, with me the first impression is a lasting one when it comes to my food, I ordered the 2 piece whiting dinner it came with two sides 2 hush puppies and I purchased a drink, the total was like 15 dollars and change and that was the first thing that made me upset because a meal like that should cost no more than 11 or 12 bucks, the real rip off came when they brought that crap to my table, that fish was hot but it was also refried and I know it was refried because the white meat on the inside was brown and tough, the hushpuppies were cold, most seafood places cook fish fresh, hush puppies fresh, fries fresh but no not these people, the fish had no seasoning if there was no hot sauce people would be in trouble in there, the fries were hot with no salt on them, the coleslaw was ok, so basically the best part of that meal was the soda I drank to get the taste of crap out of my mouth, I didn't even finish that meal I left that mess right on the table. Yo my advice go to Martin's or Anthony's seafood they gonna do you right!!! I will never step foot in that place ever again for a fried fish meal.

My wife and I are new to the area. We thought to check this local seafood spot out and ended up getting two pounds of shrimp. They rang us up and asked if I wanted them to steam the shrimp we purchased for $3 a lb. In my head, I figured it was convenient and they probably could do a better job than I could but that was an awfully wrong assumption. We got to our house which was about an 8 minute drive and opened it up to extremely overcooked shrimp. It was probably my fault for not checking before we left the store and maybe the steam from when they steamed the shrimp kept cooking them. Overall the seafood in the market looked good, I would suggest if you don’t want overcooked seafood to cook it yourself.

Great hot crabs and service. Crabs should come with butter or condiments. For extras condiments the charges will be ok.

Crab Cakes (broiled AND fried were absolutely delicious (just watch for the few small shell pieces 😉)!!! The She Crab soup and scallops were amazing as well! McKenzie provided excellent service!!!! Overall, worth it!

We drove from Connecticut to visit this fish market. This place is off the hook. This place is special, one of the staff workers named "Jac" she was super awesome and very friendly. Make this a stop on your list when you visit Virginia. My personal vote for the best seafood restaurant/shop in Hampton. Also purchase a T-shirt to take back to your town or state. The prices are the best and being from New England we only buy the freshest seafood. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about their products. Also note if you buy, they will fry!
