Very small space, but the flavors are huge. The level of detail and complexity in each dish is incredible. I can’t recommend it enough when it opens again just make a reservation and get ready to be blown away.

This place was amazing. Every course was phenomenal, a perfect iteration of the dish. Crab cake had minimal filling, fresh crab meat, and a deliciously unique light mustard sauce. The burger was cooked to a perfect medium, fresh bun, with American cheese. The surf n turf’s filet and lobster were both prepared perfectly, with accompanying sauces. Service was attentive and friendly. 100% recommended and we can’t wait to return !

Nestled between a smoke shop and a check cashing place on Biscayne Blvd., my husband and I found this little gem called Grand Central. The Chef, Nuno Grullon is to be congratulated for his impeccable presentation of delicious creations. This beautiful oasis creates a delightfully serene atmosphere. It’s simple decor is classic and clean. The chef is visibly attentive to every detail and monitors each dish as it leaves the open kitchen. The waitstaff is pleasant and knowledgeable. Our server, Carol was lovely! The menu boasts an extensive array of appetizers and entrees. Their wine list is absolutely perfect and not overwhelming. My husband and I had the artichokes, the crab cake, the trout, and the lobster ravioli; we finished our dinner with the New York Cheesecake. Each and every dish was painstakingly prepared and did not disappoint. Fortunately, we are locals and plan to be back as soon as possible! We wish Chef Nuno much success in this venture!

This is such a gorgeous spot. Just opened last week and it was outstanding. Modern, cozy, and the food is DELICIOUS. The actual space looks like a table cloth date night place in NY super cute. The staff was super attentive and friendly. The menu isn’t huge nor small, a great variety of options. Everything we ordered was insanely tasty. Personally I loved the salmon crudo, baked artichokes, truffle chicken pot pie, marinated sea bream and the chocolate mousse cake with fresh raspberries. All the food is very fresh and exploding with flavor. Will be coming back multiple times a week! So freaking good.

I don’t think I’ve ever been in a tinnier restaurant. It’s like they took the concept of “intimate dining” and cranked it up to maximum coziness. But despite the size, they somehow manage to run a full kitchen, which is honestly impressive. I came for the burger, and spoiler alert: it did not disappoint. But before I even got to that, I was greeted with one of my greatest joys in life—a biscuit with butter. And let me tell you, this wasn’t just any biscuit. The butter was so good, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were churning it in a closet somewhere like an old-school dairy artisan. It came served in a tiny, fancy butter dish with a lid, like it was too precious to be exposed to the elements. The biscuit itself? Think Red Lobster biscuit, but make it classier—less greasy, more fresh, and completely addicting. For my starter, I had the Little Gems Salad, which was hands down the prettiest salad I’ve ever seen. I almost felt bad eating it, but that feeling lasted about five seconds because it was just as delicious as it looked. Now, for the main event—the burger. Since I take burgers very seriously, there was no way I wasn’t ordering this. This is the kind of fancy place where you don’t even bother telling them how you want it cooked because they already know. They serve it at the chef’s perfect temperature, and you just sit there and trust the process. And trust me—it was everything I hoped for. Juicy, flavorful, and totally worth the hype. I tried to swap out the fries for something else, but this place is way too fancy for substitutions, so it was fries or nothing. I went with nothing, which just meant more room for biscuits, so no complaints. I also have to give a shout-out to the impeccable service. Not only were they attentive without being overbearing, but they replaced the silverware with every course—a detail that my OCD tendencies and love of cleanliness deeply appreciated. Miami has plenty of overpriced restaurants where you get meh food and even worse service, but this place delivers on both. The food was incredible, the staff was top-tier, and the entire experience was well worth the price. Highly recommended—just don’t be surprised if you leave dreaming about that butter.

What a little gem! It is so rare and such a joy to find a neighborhood restaurant that does not belong to a chain or a group, that doesn't have that Miami hype and extravagant prices, and that is so good!!! The restaurant is quaint and cozy with just a few tables and the bar. The service is smooth and professional, and the vue of the kitchen, where chefs in "toque blanche" prepare your food, gives you that upscale feeling of eating in a Michelin starred restaurant! In addition, the chef owner, Nuno Grullon, will actually check each plate served and will come by your table to check how you liked the food and your overall experience! Great attention that will complement the delighting food and dishe served! Best quality ingredients with each plate so savoring whether it is a beef tartare or lobster ravioli or even a burger! So yeah, definitely excited about this found, definitely longing to go back, and also looking forward to trying their other venue, uptown66, for what I have heard, are tacos made in heaven :) Congrats Mr Grullon!!

We love this place! We’ve been here twice. It’s so cozy, the service is excellent, and it’s small, like a New York French bistro. We’ve tried quite a lot from the menu. The baked clams and the crab cake are amazing, and the lobster roll—though not exactly a roll—is more like a brioche bruschetta, but it’s incredible as well. The chicken pot pie is delicious, as are the mushroom and truffle tagliolini. Without a doubt, the star of the menu is the burger—you must have it! They recommend a temperature for the meat, and you should follow their advice. It was so good it didn’t make the pic! The desserts are more than decent, but the starters and entrées are definitely the highlights. This spot is ideal for a date or for two couples at most—not suited for large groups. The place is small, and finding a table can be challenging. Two can usually walk in, but it’s best to plan ahead.

The best small restaurant! The menu, although described as American, is like none other and absolutely superb! Chef Nuno has created a beautiful, classy, and cozy space that feels elegant and relaxed at the same time. The menu is creative, and food is prepared and presented beautifully. It is beyond delicious! The Truffle Chicken Pot Pie is a must try!

Impressive food! I wanted to dock a star because of the parking & A/C duct that was dripping with condensation (they were good at wiping it down but what a pain) but the food is too good to not give the 5 stars. I went for Miami Spice and had the following: Crab Cake= Absolutely delicious, perfectly crispy on the outside/soft inside Duck Pithiver=Outstanding -It's served 2 ways (in a pastry and the separate piece of duck with a sweet cranberry sauce Chocolate Cake= Delicious & not too sweet Cheesecake=Also delicious It's a small place so reservations are a must. I went early, so I was able to park next to the sidewalk. It's not an area that I wouldn't want to risk no parking and walking far at night by myself as a petite woman, so I recommend Uber if you're like me...or go early. The service was great. The food amazing. Give it a try!

Extremely small place, can only seat 14 people on table, and 8 seats by bar. If you wanna sit at table, make sure to make a reservation. We were in the neighborhood and walked in, they put us by the bar, we were 4 people, was really uncomfortable to eat and talk to each other properly. Food is tasty, fresh, service's ok. Food portions are small, good to order more n share.

Superb neighborhood fine dining restaurant. Small and intimate with a modern vibe. Great bar area that's used for dinner service. A great selection of meat, fish and vegetarian options. Our meal went from amazing baked clams and yellowtail crudo to a delicious branzino and decadent chicken and truffle pot pie. Service is attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. This place is not to be missed.

And did I mention you won't have to spend a lot of money for a better meal than you would get in some noisy, crowded overpriced South Beach restaurants? We started with the baby artichokes with pancetta hollandaise, beautifully presented on artichoke chips with salsa verde and pecorino $15 Next we tried the Beef Tartare made from filet mignon tenderloin, served with black truffles, quail egg yolk, capers, shallots, cornichons and crostini $19 We love clams so couldn't resist the Baked Clams made from chipped clams, bottarga, breadcrumbs, tomato, parsley and butter. These are clams for people who don't even like clams. I'd prefer whole clams but they were tasty and only $16 for an order of 6. For an entree we shared the Trout Filet, served in lemon butter sauce with poached asparagus, rice and crispy capers $33. The wine list has a couple dozen choices with eight or nine by the glass. Bottles are priced between 2-3 times retail with Shramsberg Brut Rose for $100 vs $40 retail, Bollinger Special Cure $250 vs $78 retail, Gaja Ca'Mercando $190 vs $91 retail. You can find a few bottles under $100, and many glasses $12-15. Kudos to our waitress Carol who was a great host and server. You won't be disappointed with the great new gem.

Absolutely amazing! food was delicious, we had baked clams and crab cake to start and it was amazing! The welcome bread and butter was so yummy! for our main we have the dover sole which is special of the day and it was beautiful cooked and the sauce on it was delicious! dessert we had a sunday , it was ok . you can skip. Attention to detail at this small cozy spot, Staff was very nice and friendly. Don't miss this gem!

Second visit confirms that this is my favorite restaurant discovery of 2024. This tiny (23 seats counting the ones at the bar) restaurant transports you to Europe or the set of The Bear, because they are turning out Michelin star worthy dishes at very, very affordable prices. Tonight I had their $60 Miami Spice menu, beginning with the yellowtail credo. This would do the most refined omakase chef proud with buttery yellowtail brightened by shaved radish and cucumber. I also shared the wagyu beef tartare, which was as good as the tartare I had at The Surf Club, but here they serve a generous amount for a bargain price. Another friend had the most elegant mussels, out of their shells, we've ever seen, and they were great. For my main course I had the rich and delicious wild mushroom tagliatelle which was as delicious and truffle-infused as I hoped. One friend ordered their definitive chicken pot pie, also redolent of truffle and beautifully served. The other friend had the duck, which I tasted, and which was wonderful and something I'd order in winter. We shared 2 desserts between 3 of us. One was a light, excellent cheesecake, and the other was a sinfully, Rich chocolate ganache cake, which is best described as essentially being chocolate butter. Both were delicious. Service was great, as was a nice crisp, dry Spanish wine, and all in all this is nice a place to have a Sunday night dinner as anyone could rationally aspire to.

I tried this restaurant after reading that highly rated reviews and the first thing I want to address is the parking situation is extremely difficult behind the lot. They will tell you so you need to park kind of not in the best area down the side street then when you go in, it's extremely small maybe seven tables 8 tables max and the AC doesn't work so they have a fan blowing, hot air, highly uncomfortable to eat in a restaurant in August in the heat. The food was underwhelming. I had the gazpacho soup that they make it another restaurant that was much more flavorful. The only good part about it was the texture. I got the Bronzino fish with brown with black rice that was served room temperature with two asparagus, the whole thing just didn't seem to go very well on the plate. I don't even think it looked good either presentation was lacking.Overall I would not go back to this place.

Randomly popped in for a quick bite before a nearby comedy show. FOOD: Only ordered the salmon crudo. It was absolutely delicious. Made me wish I didn't have dinner plans elsewhere later. They also served their homemade micro biscuits with butter presented in its own crystal serving platter. An elegant touch. SERVICE: Extremely attentive without being obnoxious. Made you feel special to the point you wondered if they were flirting with you. ATMOSPHERE: Super tiny and intimate. From memory, maybe only six tables. Definitely has a romantic, elegant, and exclusive vibe.

Stopped by for dinner with a friend. A cute little spot on Biscayne blvd. A great addition to the neighborhood. We ordered the wedge salad and clams and for entree we had the trout and filet mignon. Steak was cooked perfectly and overall I would say the food was delicious. They have reserved parking next door at Biscayne optical. Our server was pleasant and attentive. A great date night spot. Would definitely come back.

Ever wonder what it's like to eat a place before it gets crazy famous and a Michelin Star? Now's your chance to experience the brilliance of Chef Nuno Grullon at his unassuming and understated spot on Biscayne and 79th Street. Everything was just spectacular from the amazing service from Rosario to the food. Each course was a triumph of flavor and presentation. I had the almond gazpacho and the eggplant main. Dina enjoyed baked clams and lobster ravioli as her main course. She raved about the chocolate cake. All expertly plated and served and just- really spectacular. Congratulations to Chef Nuno and his talented team.

Atmosphere is like stepping into an elegant Parisian cafe. Raw oysters came with a delicate herbal vinaigrette that was divine. Wild mushroom pasta was flavorful and perfectly cooked, branzino likewise was perfect. Romantic and super delicious!

Grand Central has great food, great service, great ambiance, and a great location in MIMo - we will definitely be back! We saw Chef Nuno plate every dish himself with such attention to detail, everything was beautiful, everything was delicious.

The food and service were excellent. If you don't mind intimate as in a small place it could get warm when filled with people around 20 max. Our table had chicken pot pie, duck, sushi, baby artichokes, gazpacho. All very well prepared.

Food and ambiance were great. Stating the obvious here, the tables were very close to each other so it makes it a little awkward moving in and out. Stand outs were the mushroom pasta, the burger and fries, the duck pastry on the duck dish and the chocolate mousse that tasted like Ferraro Rocher! Yum!

Outstanding dining during Miami Spice. This cozy restaurant has been on my list for a while. Duck Confit was exceptional. Lovely attentive service. Desserts were a hit!!!

Wow! I am still in awe of last night's dinner. It was a girls dinner to celebrate our birthdays and we ventured out, close to home to try this new spot out. We had the artichokes, salmon crudo, filet with fois gras, lobster ravioli, trout, ice cream (really gelato) and chocolate ganache. I would do any of those dishes over again, especially the filet! Perfectly cooked and seasoned! The wine was delicious as well. Meal was finished with desert wine- perfect ending! My only wish was for a longer time at the table. I missed that note when I booked the reservation and was very kindly informed when it was time. It's understandable since the restaurant is so small- let's hope for an expansion of this great place soon!

This is a great new restaurant -- with one manageable problem. Grand Central is a gourmet treat with reasonable prices. It's the creation of the owners of the fabulous Uptown 66 Tacqueria, which Good Morning America has rated as having the best tacos in the country. A group of five of us ate at Grand Central Friday night (not being able to get reservations for Saturday). I had a wonderful sea bream ($31). My main dining partner had a tasty truffle chicken pot pie ($26). We each had a great almond gazpacho ($13). A friend had a satisfying albergine ($21). Two went for the huge burger with a mound of French fries ($22). Three of us split a bottle of Albarinio ($40), and all of us shared great desserts: chocolate cake ($12) and cheesecake ($9). Service was super. The problem: Parking. The side streets are filled with Tow-Away signs. Just south of the restaurant, at an optical store, Grand Central has the use of three spots in the evening. We nabbed one of them for our 6 pm reservation. You might have to park in the shopping center across Biscayne, but the short walk is worth the fine dining experience.

It was a wonderful dining experience. The service the food and the atmosphere all delivered. Make a reservation it's a small place with a unique vibe. We had the tartare yummmmm and the prawns with risotto, the black truffle pot pie and the cheese cake for dessert. WOW it was all wonderful. There are plenty of wine and beer choices available. Come and give it a try, you will never be disappointed.

While in SoFL visiting my son and friends I read a review of the newly opened Grand Central which is located a short drive rom my son's apartment in Edgewater. With having only one night left in my trip to try out this new restaurant I made a reservation for Friday evening at 6PM (not a. Hard time to get a reservation in Miami :)) and both my son and I were so happy that I did. Located just north of 79th street on Biscayne Blvd this small (about 24 seats including bar seats) restaurant lived up to the review in every way. Parking was a little difficult but we were told that parking was available in the optical store parking and that valet service will be coming. The staff was warm and welcoming, the decor of the restaurant was done sharply and the food, well that was amazing. We started out with the gem lettuce wedge and the crab cake. The wedge had just the right amount of blue cheese, bacon and dressing and the Crab Cake was so good with very little filler and the puree that came with crab cake was so full of flavor and a perfect accompaniment to the crab cake. For our mains I selected the "famous" burger and my son ordered the lobster ravioli. The burger lived up to the hype and the lobster ravioli (which I got to taste one) was perfect in flavor, presentation and the amount of lobster. For dessert we shared a slice of cheese cake which was a wonderful ending to a really terrific meal. Go now before you will have to wait weeks for a reservation in this small, fantastic restaurant.

We were here last night for a birthday celebration, and I cannot say enough about the food, the presentation, the ambience, the service... It was just all so perfect!

great food, reasonable prices for Miami. Worst thing I can say is that they overcooked the duck breast in my specal, but the skin and the rendered fat still meant it was good. The Dover sole was excellent, worthy of what you might get in an excellent restaurant in Paris. We'll be back.

I recently was invited to Grand Central to celebrate my friend Gil's birthday. What a charming restaurant !! it's a little gem located on Biscayne. My husband had the trout and I the lobster ravioli. The restaurant gives off intimate NY vibes. Sweet bar seating as well. Go.....you can thank me later Damina & Michael

Today we visited this new restaurant. The Ambience was beautiful and the music went with the restaurant. Our waitress was very nice and gave us excellent service. The staff helped her throughout our meal and everyone was super helpful. My wife had the sea Bream and I had the lobster ravioli. This was the best lobster ravioli I ever had. We ended our meal with the most amazing chocolate cake. Very rich and delicious. We will definitely be back

As a huge fan of their other restaurant (uptown 66), I was so excited to try Grand Central and it did not disappoint! The ambiance was elegant yet cozy and intimate. The service was impeccable. - Bread: I don't normally post photos of the bread but it was so good and I loved the presentation of the butter. - Artichoke appetizer: mind blown with something simple that was elevated in such a tasteful manner! My partner and I were impressed by how flavorful and juicy this was. The hollandaise sauce and pancetta took it to another level, I forgot I was eating artichokes! - lobster ravioli: get ready for explosion of flavors in your mouth. Each ravioli had a generous amount of lobster and each ingredient was carefully and perfectly thought out on this plate. - truffle chicken pot pie: not pictured here, but wow!!! So unique and delicious. If you're craving something warm and comforting, definitely order this! This place is truly a gem, I will be back to try the rest of the menu! It's such a great feeling when you're out dining and the ambiance, service and food is all a 5 star experience. Thank you Chef Nuno, your attention to detail is impeccable :)

Food was excellent! Had Branzino. Will go back! Parking is tight, about 4 spaces at the optical store.

It was a horrible experience. There was only one waiter to attend to all the tables, to serve the drinks, etc. This waiter spoke so low that it was very hard to understand her. We requested to eliminate one ingredient of the tartar, and they couldn't eliminate it. When I tried to use the bathroom, I had to wait around 15 minutes because one person from the kitchen crew was using it. Ultimately, when I try to pay, the CC machine doesn't work, and I must wait an additional 15 minutes. a/a doesn't work properly. The parking is not comfortable and insecure. I hope you don't visit the restaurant in the rain because you must park on the street. I asked for a burger, nothing special, and now I have stomach pain. Not a pleasant experience, sorry.

A Small but mighty restaurant The food was excellent. I had the artichoke appetizer. Delicious!! I had the lobster ravioli, which had pieces of lobster in the sauce as well as inside the ravioli. It was very good. We were given complementary. Buns. They were so good. For dessert, we went all wild and had the ice cream sundae a perfect ending to our meal. One of the staff walked me to my car since I was concerned didn't really need to be but it was outstanding that they did that. Highly recommend the restaurant it's a must go to place.

Great addition to Miami's Upper Eastside. Beautiful interiors with really tasty food. The oysters and chicken pot pie were my absolute favorites but everything was perfection. Chef Grullon personally came to our table to check on our experience.

My newest fave neighborhood hidden gem! Don't be fooled by the exterior, this place is a must try. Beautiful and elegant interior, excellent and super attentive customer service, great wine selection and high quality food. We ordered the bone marrow, lobster raviolis, beef tartare, and shrimp risotto which were all very delicious. We will be back for sure!

What an amazing dining experience and we couldn't stop talking about it today. Chef Nuno was so welcoming and so fun to have a bar seat to watch him in action! The food was outstanding and the staff especially Carol just so welcoming.

It may not be in the best location, wedged between a smoke shop and a check-cashing store on Biscayne Boulevard near 79th Street, but Grand Central is a gem of a restaurant -- a hybrid American/French-style bistro. Just to sample the menu, we had the crab cake, truffle chicken-pot pie and Angus beef burger along with a Burgundy chardonnay. Simply scrumptious with meticulous presentation. We topped it off with a slice of exquisite ganache cake. Grand Central, unlike the historic station in Manhattan, is tiny, set in a shoebox. But if you can't get one of the tables with white tablecloths, sit at the bar and watch the line crew work wonders in the kitchen. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the service -- unusually attentive. I normally don't get that excited about restaurants in Miami, but this place is worth a visit. (5/4/2024)

Omg what a hidden gem! It's a LOVELY space, great attentive service. But even better is the food: we had salmon crudo, trout, a burger, and chocolate cake. Everything was phenomenally good. Simple, clean flavors, SO fresh. It feels like the best neighborhood place in France. Bonus points for being fairly priced. Go here but make a resy bc it's tiny (although you can and should eat at the bar).

Amazing in all aspects. Felt like we were transported out of Miami. The service was exceptional, Rosario was a rock star. Artichoke was perfection and the NY strip was a work of art that paired perfectly with our Pinot Noir. The BEST cheesecake we've ever had.
