One of the best resturant experiences I've had in awhile. We tried a lot of different things and everything was fantastic. We also got some of the warm sake and Moscato and everything was so fantastic and so much cheaper than you would imagine for the quality of food and experience you got. I'd give 10 stars if I could everythingwas freshly prepared and absolutely delicious! We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back!

This is my 3rd time here. And it’s wonderful. I have gotten something different every time and all of the food has been amazing. Beautiful restaurant, wonderful staff and perfect for an intimate date night or casual get together

This restaurant didn't have General Tao's tofu on the menu, but when I asked if it was available, they cooked it anyway. I've traveled all over the United States and this was the best version I've ever eaten. Anywhere. Even now, I'm craving their food. I was told that in Thursday nights, they also have live music, but we were tired and busy, so we couldn't stay. Even so, I love this restaurant and plan to return. Clean, classy, and not expensive. Portions are large. They did everything right. Love it!

TLDR; Underwhelming Dim Sum, Better Options Nearby, Save Your Money I came here based on all the positive reviews, but unfortunately, the dim sum didn’t live up to the hype. If you’re looking for authentic and flavorful dim sum in OKC, I’d recommend going across the street to Golden Phoenix instead. Here’s what we ordered and experienced: •Spare Ribs: Tasted like plain boiled ribs with a heavy dose of MSG. Lacked flavor and depth. •Chicken Feet: Overpowered by five spice and MSG. Not well-balanced. •Veggie: The stems were oversized and tough, making them hard to chew. (Had inedible fibers still attached on the outside) •Har Gow (Shrimp Dumpling): The first batch had a strong, off-putting smell and taste — possibly expired shrimp. It was replaced with a freshly steamed order, which tasted slightly better but still not right. • Shu Mai: Very pork-forward with no distinctive flavor. Just tasted flat. • Gyoza: Arrived cold and overly chewy. The texture was off and hard to tell if it had been steamed or fried. • Jiu Cai Jiao (Chive Dumpling): Extremely chewy — so much that it was difficult to bite through comfortably. • Soup Dumpling: Had no soup in it and the meat inside just tasted like overcooked meat Overall, the flavors and textures were lacking across the board. For better dim sum in the area, I suggest giving Golden Phoenix a try instead.

We visited on the weekend after our normal restaurant was closed. I had eaten at this location close to 10 years ago. There was no indication this place is now a "buffet" style restaurant where they bring by trays of food and ask if you want some. We were just sat at a table with no menus and servers began stopping at the table with food. We decided to go with the flow and see how it goes. The issue is that servers basically mumbled about the food options, as there multiple options on each tray. We sometimes asked 3-4 times for them to repeat or to clarify but again, more mumbling, not understandable. The food we did try was good but not great. Lots and lots of varieties of shrimp cooked different ways. The next issue is that no server stopped by to refill our drinks until we were ready to leave. We put 6 items on our table and ate maybe half of it. I was shocked that our bill was just short of $60, wow. I was not impressed and have no plans to visit again.

Average and Disappointing Tried this for the first time on Saturday. It was yet again a cold & rainy Oklahoma day and who doesn't want a nice bit of Chinese to warm you up? The buildings & decor I have to say were pretty, I quite enjoyed the Chandelier and the look of the tables but that my friends is where the “Grand House” of this restaurant’s namesake stops because the food was not “Grand” in any stretch of the imagination. The service was quick and very friendly. No complaints but we should have known from the 3 cars in the parking lot on a Saturday that we were not in for a great meal. We ordered Seafood Dim Sum, Sesame Chicken, & Lemon Chicken. Both entrees came with mediocre at best Fried Rice. Honestly, I could have made better-seasoned rice, and I can barely work my rice cooker. The Dim Sum was fine, not terrible but nothing special. I wasn’t a fan of the sticky outside and the filling inside was fine. The Sesame Chicken was again just fine. If you received it at Panda you would probably be happy with it. However we were not at a franchise, we were in the Asian District and my standards were as such. The Lemon Chicken can barely even be called such a name. It was a chicken cutlet unseasoned, cut and placed onto a plate with two whole slices of lemon with a bowl of duck sauce on the side. Continuing with the theme of night’s dinner it was mediocre at best. $40 of nothing special, do with this review what you will, but the best things about this restaurant were the funny signs in the parking lot and the chandelier. Also, their fish did look like it was enjoying a nice spa day before it became someone’s dinner. Recommended Dishes: Nothing, go to Tai Pai in Warr Acres or China Garden in Guthrie Service: 4 out of 5 Food: 2 Decor: 3.5 Humor: Fish Spa & Humorous sign .. priceless

I came from 90 miles away on a Sunday as I heard the dim sum was great. We got there about 2 pm and maybe that was the problem (as there were very few people at tables) and the kitchen was providing what was left over from the rush. The several plates we tried (and there weren’t many choices offered) were not fresh or were overcooked (pot stickers). The only dish that was great was a fried egg roll which the waiter had the kitchen cook right then. If a restaurant is going to serve any food to tables, it shouldn’t have the taste and texture of buffet food! And BTW, none of our servers were Chinese, the closest being someone from India! I had wanted to practice speaking Mandarin but had no chance!

Google
So, they carry out trays of food to have you pick and choose what you would like. They weren’t real busy when we came in but they didn’t have many options for us to pick from. If all you have ever had was Oklahoma dim sum, then it is “good”. But if you have had good dim sum elsewhere, you wouldn’t be satisfied. Our bill was over $300 for 8 adults and 4 kids, but we left very unsatisfied.

Yelp
Lunch at Grand House. Went with the express lunch. You get to select four items from a list of fourteen, choose between steamed and fried rice, and egg drop or hot and sour soup. The express lunch is tasty and a good value. I chose fried rice and hot and sour soup. The soup comes with crispy Chinese noodles. My four items were egg foo young, chow mien, sweet and sour chicken with the sauce on the side, and an egg roll. The lunch was excellent. All four items were delectable. The service was good and the price very reasonable. The decor is traditional Chinese. Grand House is an excellent lunch option.

Yelp
I am adding an additional review based on their lunch specials and realized they also offer dim sum for lunch which is amazing! They have my absolute favorite - the rice roll with XO sauce - and great offerings like shumai, soup dumplings and flat rice noodles. Service also very prompt and attentive. Interior ambience very cool and traditional Chinese restaurant - like. Now I know where to find dim sum for lunch in OKC!

Yelp
Grew up eating Grand House and was back in town eating with my in-laws for the Lunar New Year. I haven't had dim sum in a while, so were happy to take them. They had the traditional lion dance which we always enjoy. I made reservations for 11, for a group of 7 people. When I got there, (at the time of our reservation and the start of the lion dance), we were notified that our table had been given to someone else per the 'boss.' This was shocking, considering we were there on time, and my in-laws were 10 mins early.... Mind you, the individual at the counter made a 'shock face' when she realized we wanted to be seated, further implying she made an accident by giving our table away. We were off to a rocky start, but were told we would have the next available table. The lion dance lasted 30 minutes, and once it was over, we were seated, which was fine. The food was good. Had several different options and the servers were very nice. They have everything from steamed dumplings, to shrimp balls, turnip, taro balls, banh cuon (rolled cake which is 5/5). Price is expensive, but it's the only good 'dim sum' place around in OKC! Definitely check it out!

Yelp
I am always seeking out the best Chinese Spare Ribs having been born in Washington DC and having family friends that I vacationed and lived with during my childhood I know fantastic Spare Ribs! Our families went to Chinatown just outside DC all the time. These were really good! Super tender fall of the bone ribs and spiced well! I would highly recommend them! Judy got Mu Shu Pork which was very good. It was odd we didn't get the traditional Hoisin sauce with the Mu Shu Pork, we got a ton of packets of soy sauce and sweet duck glaze, but no Hoisin. Beautiful inside and they have a Sushi Bar. Super nice front house customer service and we got it ToGo! Were the spare ribs my perfect ones? Close, a solid 4! Great place in OKC!

Yelp
So we have 5 people and order one pot of hot tea, they charged $22.50 for one hot of hot tea! Did not ask for refills and did not get warned about the pricing, they charge by the cups you wanted not by pot, if this is 5 cups of coke that will be understandable. When we talk to the manager she was annoyed and only thing she could say is this is our policy did no apologize or try to make things better and given us dirty look and attitude. Not a place I will come back and this is not how a manager should act!

Yelp
My friends and I tried this for the first time we definitely wanted dim sum so we went on the weekend. It was good and there was a large selection. I did feel it was a little overpriced. The service was a little slow and dim sum was good but not amazing.

Yelp
Grand House is a staple in the OKC metro. If you work around the downtown or Capitol area you have probably eaten here. The meals are plentiful and their sushi rolls are great. There are many good Asian food choices in the area but you should be very pleased with Grand House. Service has always been good and I usually visit during the lunch rush.

Yelp

Yelp
Wonderful Dim Sum experience. We got in 15 min before it ended and they were so gracious. The food was tasty and plentiful. Will be back.

Yelp
Best dim sum ever and its never-ending plates after plates after plates being offered. Food is always delicious service always good, and they have a secret Chinese menu that is available by request

Yelp
One of the the two places in Asian District that offers dim sum, the other being Golden Phoenix. There used to be a third being Fung's kitchen but that is no longer the case. While Golden Phoenix offers dim sum everyday, Grand House does it only on the weekend. Both places are super busy on the weekend. Golden Phoenix seems busy even on weekdays. Not that Grand House food is inferior to Golden Phoenix, for some unknown reason I just gravitate more toward Golden Phoenix. It could be the location because of stopping by the market afterward. One other useful feature of Grand House is their sushi happy hour on weekdays which I used to come in all the time for. All sushi rolls are half price. I have not been for a long time but I believe it's still the case. But for me, the main feature of Grand House is definitely the dim sum. If you haven't tried, I would highly recommend.

Yelp
This is one of the best dim sum restaurants in OKC's Asian District. They have a mix of servers pushing dim sum carts and others walking around with trays of various items such as roast pork, Singapore noodles, Chinese broccoli and other items. We tried many of the staple dim sum items and they were all very good. They serve congee with pork or beef and in individual servings which is nice. I like that they still push the carts which you don't find anymore in the big city Chinatowns. The service was good. The dining room has lots of tables and even on a Sunday at noon we didn't have to wait. If you have to pick one place to try dim sum in OKC, this is your place.

Yelp
My favorite dim sum place of all time! Must try the jalapeño fried shrimp and shrimp egg rolls

Yelp
This is my family's go to place for Dim Sum. All of their dumplings are delicious and so flavorful. I have literally never eaten something I didn't like here!

Yelp
All the food is outstanding! Service is very attentive! Clean, friendly employees! Just a great restaurant!

Yelp
We ate dim sum here on Dec 28, 2023. It was delicious! I used to live in Hong Kong and it was very close in taste. They had a very good variety of dim sum and it was very good. They also had my favorite noodle dish, beef chow fun. We were greeted promptly and seated immediately. I was able to order a hot tea combo that wasn't on the menu. They mixed it specially for me. The food came hot and promptly. We sat at a large round table reminiscent of the restaurants in Hong Kong. It was tastefully decorated and was very clean. It was Thursday lunch so it wasn't too crowded. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Swing by on a whim after our original plans got changed. Easy to find, great location, and you can get in and out quickly with ample parking. Casual atmosphere, full bar, and sushi counter. The staff was attentive food was hot and fresh. The only downside was the band was so loud that my dining companion had to take her hearing aids out, and she could still hear the band. I can't say that the music was terrible. It was just so loud that you couldn't have a conversation.

Yelp
Being a Chinese Malaysian, I thrive on finding the best Dim Sums in America. I have been to Grand House since I was 13 years old when I first came to this country. For 22 years to this date, grand house still stands strong in my opinion. Keep in mind, a number of other Dim Sum locations has opened since but nothing beats an OG location. Price wise, Grand House is a little bit more pricy but the food are still among the best. Give it a go, I promise you won't be disappointed.

Luke L.

Yelp
The dim sum was fantastic andthe variety of different foods is incredible. The service here is like family there kind and welcoming. Ambiance is perfect.

Yelp
Easy 5 stars. Great Chinese favorites everyday or full fledge dim sum on weekends. Broad menu and consistent quality. They have kept me coming back for years and years.

Yelp
Beautiful location, but the options were limited and they no longer offer full cart service. My favorites were the egg tarts and the shu mai.
google avatar

Junle J.

Yelp
Best dim sum restaurant in the OKC. Most dishes are delicious but a bit pricey recently. Service is generally great.
google avatar

Jim E.

Yelp
On a recent visit to OKC, we were looking for a different restaurant that was closed and then came upon Grand House Asian Bistro with lots of cars and decided to try it. What a pleasant surprise! With ordered from the menu and also had Dim Sum. Each and every dish was like I remembered from China. After making many trips to Mainland China, it was wonderful to find authentic Chinese food. I was most impressed with the "congee cart" with the varieties of congee. I had not seen a cart like this since leaving departing Mainland China.
google avatar

Yelp
We had dim sum Shrimp tofu roll 2/5. What wrecked this dish was the carrot they put too much in it, cheapening the dish and the carrot wasn't cooked. Chicken feet 3/5. Should have been a little sweeter than this Pork porridge 2/5. Too much ginger and one small bowl for $5? It was too expensive. Shrimp rice roll 2/5, the sauce was supposed to be sweeter but no it was just salty. And there was only one shrimp per roll. Other dim sum places normally put 2 shrimp per roll. The only dish that was better was combo fried rice. Couple hours later I had mild diarrhea. For $85 before tip, this place isn't appealing

Yelp
Food: Dim sum was Mediocre. Probably try a different restaurant in the future. Service: excellent. Very nice and respectable servers. Unfortunately, the experience is lessened due to not using food carts. Instead servers walk around with trays of food. Price: Too expensive.

Henry O.

Yelp
My food was ok however I'm diabetic and the Thai Basil Chicken threw my sugar level through the roof. My family ordered from the lunch menu and I tried theirs, I did not keep all of it in my mouth. It's my first time to eat in the OK Asian district and expected much better. I won't be back unless someone I trust tells me it has changed and the food is great. When I lived in Houston TX every Chinese/Thai etc restaurant I ate at I frequented often because they were so good. So far in OK Canton is the best imo.
google avatar

Rui J.

Yelp
They probably changed owner and management staff, it is losing the authentic flavor and atmosphere; I only tried dim sum part, it is way below average quality.

Lauren L.

Yelp
Great food always, and very entertaining music on Thursday evening! The staff is always kind.
google avatar

Ak K.

Yelp
I'm not sure if this place serves to exist as satire, but absolutely avoid going here if you want dim sum or authentic Asian food. Go across the street to Golden Phoenix instead. The food was essentially steamed frozen entrees or prepared as if the cooks read about how food is supposed to be made on the internet rather than having tried it before. The service was non-existent, and made worse by the fact that no server wears a uniform, so good luck trying to figure out who's coming to help you, or if it's just another lost patron trying to figure out why it's taking so long for service. Avoid this place at all cost.
google avatar

Jessica T.

Yelp
The service was great. Outside was nice and landscaped. The lunch special tasted like it wasn't cooked after it was ordered. The dim sum during the week was awful. Tasted like it was leftovers from the weekend. The size of the crab balls were smaller than the squid balls. $5.80 each crab ball was very disappointing and expensive. Food is better across the street for dim sum.

Yelp
I just got hustled. My family and I eat here several times per month due to the proximity to work and the style of food. Today I drove 30 minutes to get take out. by the time I got home, I realized they had left off an entire entree(sauces and sides, no chicken) as soon as I realized, I had my wife call. the hostess swore the order was correct and refused to take our complaint. she told us to drive back and show the order...30 min away, but they closed in 15 min and said because we couldn't prove it was missing, we would not get a refund. once I decided to escalate my complain, she said she would give us credit for "a free entree"...I paid for it...it's not free, I didn't get it!!!! long story short, dinner is ruined for tonight, unless we want sweet and sour rice...
google avatar

Curtis L.

Yelp
Look I know there's some really good, authentic Chinese food in OKC, but Grand House has the absolute BEST sesame chicken dish. It's the only thing that my dad and I come here to eat. We have had other dishes, but they do their sesame chicken unlike anyone else. The chicken always appears/tastes like it was just sliced and fried, it's definitely NOT frozen cubes of chicken. Lunch comes with extras, but we just get dinner portions (their larger but not by too much). It's always hot and the sauce is probably the best iteration of the dish. This place isn't the highest rated, but I can absolutely recommend the sesame chicken until they shut their doors.

Pepper W.

Yelp
Dim Sum was mediocre at best. Many dishes were quite bland and several times we had three servers at once telling us about the food. It was a bit overwhelming. We sampled around 10 plates with three items on every plate. For three people our bill was over $110. Disappointing. Egg roll was decent as was a crab roll. Everything else, meh.

Yelp
My family has been eating at Grand House for over 5 years. We were introduced to this fine place through a friend who was a hostess at the time. This restaurant is beautiful inside and out. They have weddings, receptions, birthdays and many more events here too. They cater outside events as well. Their staff is amazing. Out favorite times to come here are on the weekends when they do their dim sum from 10- 3pm. What is dim sum? Dim sum is a traditional Chinese meal made up of small plates of dumplings and other snack dishes and is usually accompanied by tea. Similar to the way that the Spanish eat tapas, the dishes are shared among family and friends. Typically dim sum is consumed during brunch hours -- late morning to lunchtime. Grand House offers a wide variety of dim sum items as well as a fantastic menu that includes desserts and drinks as well. One of my favorite celebrations here is during Chinese new year where they have performers come and do a fun show during dim sum hours . It is the highlight of the year. Overall, I give Grand House a 10 for being one of the best Chinese restaurants in Oklahoma and in Okc's Asian District. The staff is always friendly and quick to assist and they do speak English as well. Quick reminder: please tip your waiters. Every restaurant I have attended is so short staffed and these young students in the staff are working hard to show up to serve you.
google avatar

Carla S.

Yelp
This is not a review for their dim sum. I knew Grand House has a reputation for dim sum, but we came later in the day. We were the only diners in the restaurant. First, they gotta lose the elevator music playing overhead. It makes their dining room feel even more dated. Second, and more importantly, don't bother with the Americanized Chinese food here. It's overpriced and not any good. They served us quite possibly the worst General Tso's chicken I've ever had. In another dish broccoli was not cooked. The accompanying fried rice didn't even taste fried, just tossed in a bland sauce. Server was impatient with our questions. The old man at the door, owner's father? Or just the equivalent of a Walmart greeter? The kiddies enjoyed the live lobster and fish tanks. But that's about it. We want a refund.
google avatar

Julie M.

Yelp
We went for a late lunch. Loved the dim sum and the specials. We got lobster on the shell fired with noodles. Also lemon chicken for my daughter with fried rice which wasn't fired but still tasted good.

Yelp
My coworkers and I decided to try out Ground House for their dim sum and we were not disappointed one bit. It was so good and dim sum. . I highly recommend this bistro to any and everyone. The owner is generous and puts nothing but passion into what he does.

Yelp
Let me start off by saying dim sum is my all-time favorite food ever! After moving back from living in Honolulu, I have missed this so much. Grand House Asian Bistro has an amazing variety of dim sum to choose from. It seems like 10 am is the best time to come because they have so many different trays of food coming out. We came before 10 right when they opened. No wait at all this early, but it started to really pick up around 10. It is Christmas Day though, so that's why it's so busy today. For my boyfriend and I, our total was $29 and we got 6 plates and jasmine tea for the both of us. That's an amazing price. We were not disappointed with any food item we ate. I don't eat seafood and I had no trouble finding non-seafood items like lots of pork items, beef items, and other options. They have the best beef rice dish( the one that's wrapped in sheets of rice)that I've ever tired. You can actually eat it without the rice falling apart or disintegrating. It's got the yummy chewiness from the rice noodle and dipping it in soy sauce with a dash of spicy mustard is the best! I love steamed egg custard buns and these were pretty good! Not the best I've ever had but I still loved them. No one can beat my favorite place in Honolulu, Hawaii! You really can't go wrong going here. So many things to try!

Yelp
I am a fan of their fairly priced lunch specials. They are severely understaffed and are currently hiring waiting staff. If you have the patience to wait, dining in will take a long time. Otherwise, it is much more popular to get takeout.

Judith H.

Yelp
Love dim sum on Sunday. We took friends there for lunch during week and were very disappointed. All 4 dishes were without taste. We were disappointed. I'll go back for dim sum but not for other meals.

Yelp
**************************************************** Post COVID19 update: Since the closing of another restaurant, Grand House is the only dimsum place in OKC go my knowledge. And boy, is it disappointing news. It is a large restaurant but they have taken zero measures to social distance diners. Staff are wearing masks but there's very few of them to take orders or assist. Lastly, the food itself has gone downhill. Dumplings are not fresh, they taste stale and/or have been re-steamed to the point where the wrappers are falling apart. Some taste suspiciously similar to the frozen ones at the grocery store. And lastly, a lot of the food variety isn't available or cold when you get it. I've gone a couple of times hoping it was just a bad day but it's been consistent. I can't bring myself to come back since dim sum isn't cheap. **************************************************** I am from New York City where there is a plethora of dimsum, so I am usually very picky and have very high standards. With that being said, I am definitely a fan of Grand House! Tip: Make your reservation through Yelp and you will breeze through the walk ins like a VIP. All in all, their selection is bigger than all other dimsum places in the Asian district. It is hot and steamed well overall. They serve all of their food with staff carrying the trays and not the dimsum cart- which can sometimes overcook the food if it is left there too long. Flavoring is just right, not too bland and not too salty. I am uncertain if they use MSG, but I did not feel the usual affects of heavy MSG usage (severe thirst, headache and tiredness). They are a bit pricy but I think the overall value is still great. They have a free parking lot, and there are side streets nearby during peak hours. All the staff are friendly and attentive. I was impressed that all the servers knew exactly what was in each dish and attentive to ensure no table was forgotten. I know I will be coming here frequently for sure!

Steve M.

Yelp
Great place with live classic music on Thursday nights. Starting at 6:00 ending at 8:00

Yelp
This restaurant is definitely the best place in Oklahoma for dim sum! I love that they serve the fried crab/shrimp ball during their dim sum, which is typically served at Vietnamese weddings. I've seriously been coming here for years since Vietnamese weddings tend to be hosted here, which I love since they have the best Viet wedding food. I wish they would serve more dishes that they serve during Vietnamese weddings, however, am pleased with their current selection for dim sum. Definitely worth the money for their dim sum on Sunday mornings/early afternoon!
google avatar

Kristina S.

Yelp
The food here is authentic and delicious. I ordered the mu shu plate and my cousin ordered the pad Thai. The portions are large and the price is low. There is plenty of seating so you can socially distance when dining in. The servers all wore masks. The service is A+ when it came to how attentive they are and how much they care about your satisfaction.
google avatar

Edward L.

Yelp
I was hoping for something better. But service was really slow, and the food was not good. Vermicelli with grilled beef had no sauce whatsoever just some slices of grilled beef ( not bad) and rice noodles with with plain cabbage and other vegetables. The fried rice with chicken was revolting. I felt bad for the waitress. She seemed really nice, I gave her a good tip. But it can't be fun working there. We will not visit this restaurant again
google avatar

Andrea G.

Yelp
They have a vast menu that includes Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese food. I have tried many things here and all are good. Give it a try, you won't regret it

Joshua B.

Yelp
Our small party arrived an hour before the end of dim sum; there were 3 other tables seated. We received food from the first server that came by and never saw another plate of food. A manager had a lengthy dispute with a server about incorrectly marking our ticket which had to be resolved before we could even get water. We asked multiple servers for entrees and/or side dishes, but after 20 minutes we left aggravated and hungry.

C B.

Yelp
Grand House has really gone down hill. Today we came from dim sum. We were told it was going on for another hour. We were seated without any utensils, plates. So when the first server came we couldn't even eat our food. We asked for the things we needed, but it took a long time to get this. We got two plates of dumplings. Then no one else came by. We asked staff to send over more trays, but no one came. Then someone came to refill water and felt there was an issue with our ticket being market incorrectly. She loudly argued with another staff member about this. Still no one brought us any more food. So after over 30min and asking for help, we had eaten two small dim sum orders. We gave up and left. I guess Grand House is done with the good old days.

Yelp
Solid place for dim sum. The service was very attentive and took good care of us. Dim sum is only available on the weekends, we made reservations in advance to help make sure our large table sat together. Plenty of typical dim sum dishes are served, though they didn't have the silken tofu with ginger syrup.
