From the moment you enter, you are immediately embraced by the luxurious lobby. Check-in was quick and smooth, after which we went to our room—and what a room it is! Pure luxury, with the bathroom being a real highlight. Everything has been thoughtfully considered, and you truly lack nothing. The beds are extremely comfortable, and there are plenty of seating areas to relax and unwind.||The swimming pool is a true hidden gem. You feel as if you’re in a resort, surrounded by lush greenery and various spots to relax. And not to forget the waterfall—absolutely stunning! Highly recommended.||The breakfast is excellent: fresh, extensive, and paired with outstanding service. Orchard Road is just a few minutes’ walk away, and with the MRT so close by, it’s easy, quick, and affordable to explore the city from here.

Room was clean, im quite sensitive to dust, dirt and the likes.. would have runny nose or itchy scalp if its not very clean and none of those occur during my stay. Electric sockets are installed generously around spots where you'd likely stay (our room's sofa, dining table, minibar credenza, lazy chair all have charger/electric sockets installed nearby for use)||||Additional bottled drinking water can be requested from housekeeping if insufficient. The door is heavy solid engineered wood door which is quite sound proof. Did not go to the pool so cant review but their club has unique interior design and layout, its very comfortable and the staffs are helpful too. ||||Amenities like lotion, shampoo and soap are of good quality (they work with Balmain on this); hair dryer, safety box, irons, fridge, typical of what you expect from hotel of this segment are all available and working well).||||Wish to place a special note on the housekeeping, came back into our room after trip to find the room tidied .. make-up room done (which is as expected) but the staff even organize our messy charging cables and place extra bottled water (we left the room with 5 bottles and housekeeping prepare 6 for us afterward). Thumbs up and very satisfied with the housekeeping service.||||Booked under guest of honor. Received late check-out at 4pm and a free room upgrade (unfortunately not all the way to suite although room seems available in the app) and club access. Check-in counter was also very clear in explaining guest of honor privileges and what will be received. Nothing skipped.||||Internet speed is fast (more than sufficient for my work and streaming) and for those that care, it comes with a smart toilet bidet so no cold toilet seat or cold water after doing your business.

Had two stays amounting to 7 days in total. Really great experience, rooms & breakfast. Amazing location, a couple of steps away from Orchard Rd. Had a big mixup during check-in, but everything was quickly resolved thanks to Kabeer the duty manager’s exceptional attitude & service. We are incredibly appreciative of Kabeer’s sincerity to help us with the mixup. He really went above and beyond for our family! It was a wonderful stay for us and our 1 year old, would definitely stay here again next time we visit SG!

Stayed one night at Grand Hyatt Singapore for a short business trip and it was a great experience. The location is excellent, especially for Orchard. The Deluxe Room didn’t disappoint at all—very spacious with beautiful wooden floors and, most importantly, fantastic sleep comfort. One of those rooms where you genuinely wake up feeling rested. Breakfast was a highlight with a wide spread of high-quality local and international options. Everything we tried was fresh and well executed. We didn’t have much time to fully enjoy the hotel as it was a quick work trip, but we did take a look at the wellness facilities and they looked excellent. Definitely coming back for a longer stay to experience them properly.

I had visited Singapore during Christmas 2025 and we wanted to stay somewhere in Orchard Road and as soon as we looked at the Grand Hyatt, we wanted to stay there and nowhere else. We stayed there for five nights, and we never had a bad day at the hotel. Big shout out to Jeini from the front office, who was truly wonderful. She made our stay memorable, helping us through various instances and with such care and warmth. Their breakfast buffet was such a delight, an eclectic spread that you rarely get to enjoy at other hotels. And, the housekeeping team showed commendable work. Always there to provide the best service and extremely prompt as well. This will be my go-to hotel the next time, or rather every time I visit Singapore.

My husband and I stayed here for 7 days from 30/12/25. It was the worst hotel stay I have ever had. If I could give less than a one star rating I would. The rooms are beautiful, but the staff are on the whole rude and disrespectful. This really presented itself at the Grand Club (access we had with our room). We could not access it for the majority of the time we were there. When we did get in for breakfast or drinks it was like a pig pen. There were tables piled high with plates, there was no food left, and people were queuing to get in. There was no system to manage this. Staff pretended there were tables available so we wandered around to see if we could find one (no one was going to find it for us) and then had to come back to reception to advise we were still waiting for a table. This is all such a shame as the location of the hotel is fabulous. The Martini Bar and Le Pristine are staffed by kind and professional people. The martini’s were fabulous. And the NYE dinner at Le Pristine was amazing and one of the best meals I have ever had. I will never ever enter that building again!

Such a clean and beautiful hotel, with great effort on sustainability. You feel very cozy and welcome the moment you walk in to the hotel. Staffs were all very helpful and knowledgeable as well as friendly. Room is huge with a king Bed, coffee and tea in the room is superb too. Definitely will staycay again here

I love that Chef from Grand Hyatt is bringing in all the plant-based products and launching them as food trucks! Never thought I'll be saying this but omg Grand Hyatt's Just Egg Sandwich is AMAZING!!! Love it. Maybe it's the mix of avocado purée, tomato jam, MELTED vegan cheese and corn bun!! Only $5! Come by Grand Hyatt before 9pm Sat 3/11 to get some delicious hot buns. Oh my. I can see myself going to The Oasis for more after the food truck is gone... This hotel is an amazing location and has quick, easy access to the SMRT and ION Orchard. The front desk staff is very nice and attentive. It can be a bit tedious waiting for an elevator as there always seemed to be a number of people already queued and waiting for an elevator all the time. The room we stayed in was nice, not anything that would be considered luxurious, but space is a premium in Singapore, so it's a good size. The bathroom was covered in marble which seemed a little dated. They give you Balmain toiletries which is a nice, elevated touch. There are only a handful of channels on the television, so it would have been nice to have a streaming option. Overall, this hotel is all about location. It's nice, the staff is friendly and it's clean.

One word upon stepping inside the hotel room #1046 - D.A.T.E.D My sister insisted we had a little staycation at Grand Hyatt. It was her birthday week, so whatever she wanted, I would say yes (unless she wanted the moon!) She had a staycay earlier this year and she seemed to really like this hotel property. I strongly disagreed after spending 3 days there. D - Definitely a bigger room than most hotels. There was a living/work area. Probably good for business travelers, then again, not enough outlets. It would be annoying! A - Absolutely tiny twin bed. It seemed the twin bed here was smaller than usual. My sis wanted two beds so .. In the end, my niece came and pushed the twin beds together. Awful bedding, the beds were not comfortable at all. Not even slightly. T - Tiny nightstand. I would not even call it a nightstand but just a really tiny drawer/shelf with drawer next to each side of the bed. There was a giant phone on my side and there was barely any space to put my phone, watch, headband and tiny things ;( E - Extremely dark and uninviting bathroom. I refused to use the bathtub. Bathroom came with one sink. Most hotels I went had duo sinks. D - Dated interior. Overall just dated and in desperate need or a refurbishment or overhaul. After serving a stay home notice (SHN) aka quarantine at Conrad Singapore upon arriving Singapore, Grand Hyatt looked like a 3 star hotel to me. Hence, this is a 3 stars review. The 3 stars from me was simply the extra living area which I enjoyed chatting with my sis and us snacking on some pastries from Lady M. Thank goodness the room came with a pair of in-room slippers. You know how I get upset when the hotel does not provide slippers, LOL :D (It would be a 2 stars review when I did not find any slippers). Staff Mindy checked us in and she was nice and friendly. The biggest service lapse for me was the concierge somehow did not informed us there was a package left for me. I mean, how if someone left me a cake, it probably ended up melted or some secret admirers sent me flowers? They probably all withered. Hahaha.. jk jk :D Now I am wondering.. is Grand Hyatt a 3 stars hotel?? Hmmm... Regretably, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone I know even though the hotel is located at a prime shopping area.

Despite its long history and prime location, service at this hotel does not befit the image it attempt to portray. In-room dining, even for guest of their penthouse suite like myself, were served beverages in paper cups, utensils in paper bags, all in the name of environmental conservation???? It'll seem that a self proclaimed 5-Star hotel in the middle of Orchard Road should perform so appalling is a disservice not only to guests like myself, but the global Hyatt brand, of which I'm a Globalist member. Very, very disappointed doesn't even begin to describe my experience, did I mention all this happened at breakfast?? The first meal of the day and such an unexpectedly, awful experience. Be warned.

Nice hotel, not the grandest of Grand Hyatts we've stayed in. The bedrooms are smaller, nice sitting room with TV, sofa, table, electric hot water pot for the tea bags and instant coffee. It's an older hotel with a beautiful lobby area. Staff at Hyatts have always been nice. We had breakfast daily and most evenings in the Grand Lounge. You have a choice of omelets, made to order, hot Asian congee, fried rice, eggs, dumplings as an example. Salads, wine, coffee/tea, juice, milk, desserts and hot entrees are available at dinner.

Heads-up : Do NOT drink from the Grand-Hyatt-branded water bottles or tap water (which has pipe corrosion particles as some of its hardware facilities are pretty "old") especially during your quarantine at the hotel, as some who are sensitive to marginal water quality may incur illness like diarrhea and have to incur extreme difficulty in accessing immediate medical help and high medical treatment costs (including to-and-fro ambulance transportation costs during the quarantine) out of your own pocket as a result of contaminated/marginal water quality (versus that commercially available bottled water) water.

We had a awesome stay at this Hyatt in May 2017. Great location. Beautiful hotel. And walking distance to major shopping spots. The rooms are nice , beautiful and very clean. Wouldn't say they were huge but but super tiny either. The bed was very comfortable and so was the shower. I love showers with good water pressure. Loves this one. Loveeeee their room service. Traditional pepper crabs. Very yummy. And gave us complimentary wine and cake for my birthday. They have a very good spa. I spend 5 hours in treatments there and loved every single second of that. So relaxing. I love their huge pool. Overall it is a beautiful hotel.

I stayed here for almost a week last year as part of a Company Audit team that took us to East Malaysia and Singapore. My limited experience with upscale Singapore hotels is that comfort and luxury are a cut above. I found that to be true with my suite, the restaurant offerings within the property, the expansive buffet breakfast, and the executive lounge where we all relaxed and debriefed at the end of the day. On top of this, the Grand Hyatt is located in the middle of the Princess Street shopping district, which like the Hotel, seemed larger than life. Another bonus were the Independence Day festivities going on at the time. I knew I'd have to go home eventually, but I was in no hurry to leave.

Grand Ole Opry, Grand Piano, Grand Canyon, Grand Central Station, and Grand Prix. Its what you expect to be the supreme in the pool of ordinary. The Grand Hyatt is definitely one of the best in what Singapore has to offer. What makes it so extraordinary? Accommodations--the hotel has a high class feel from the moment the doorman opens the glass doors for you and you admire the beautiful décor with the ambiance lighting. My taxi driver was unable to process my American Express so the front desk was able to pay him with petty cash and just add it to my bill. This was so nice since I didn't have any local currency to offer him yet. This 5 star hotel has a gym, salon, tennis courts, massage, relax rooms, infinity pool, sauna, and even a waterfall. All workers are dressed in suits and always ready to service you. Rooms--The rooms has a high quality feel from the plush robes and slippers to the high thread count sheets and supportive mattress. This is important when you are fighting jetlag from the 20 hr flight from the states. I also appreciate the bottles of free water strategically placed at the bar when you first walk in and on each nightstand by the bed and is replenished daily. The rainshower head in the bathroom drenches you with a massive amount of water to immediately wash away the liter of dried sweat on your body from the Singapore humidity. There are also 2 thermostats in the room so you can chill one room and keep the bedroom a bit warmer as you sleep. One touch of the switch by the bed kills all the lights in the entire room so no need to individually find the switches of each and every light. The rooms are also super quiet so you don't hear any annoying neighbors thru the walls nor anyone by the elevators even though my room was right next to one. Food--everybody knows Singapore has great food so the Grand Hyatt has to live up to the hype and it does! Straits Kitchen is buffet style but this is no Hometown Buffet. It's the Asian equivalent to a Vegas buffet which means high quality food that's cooked with high quality ingredients and presented beautifully in such an elegant restaurant. Residents can take advantage of the free breakfast which features Asian, Indian, and Western cuisines. Everything I had was amazing from the porridge that brought back memories of my childhood, to the fine pastries, to the corned beef hash that was the best I've ever had. During dinner, they have equally amazing dishes such as the duck egg crab and kabobs. My only gripe is the lack of drink choices and fresh squeezed juice are extra. Location--the Grand Hyatt is right smack by all the high end shopping that stretches down Scott Rd and onto Orchard. There is always a fleet of taxis so getting around is easy breezy for all the beezies! If you opt to ride the MRT, the station is walking distance as well. Right by the hotel is the Far East Plaza which offers you the best exchange rates so swap out all your Benjamins there before heading out for the night because lots of those Hawker stands take cash only. Directly across the street is Shaw Centre where there are so many delicious options for Singaporean food that accommodates everyone's cravings. You literally can't starve or be bored if you stay here. Eye Candy--there are plenty of beautiful people walking by as well as into the hotel. In fact, it seems like there people in this region are just better looking in general. There are also exotic vehicles that may be parked out front so do what I did--tell the beautiful women walking by that you are a photographer and pose next to the cars ;)

What a wonderful property and with a staff that greatly exceeded my expectations!! If I could award 6 stars (or more) for this property, I would, in a heartbeat!!! From the moment we checked in at reception until we exited the limousine at the airport, my wife and I had the utmost of courtesy, service, professionalism, and quality shown us during our 28 day visit. I am a top tier member in several international hotel programs, including Hyatt, and travel extensively throughout the world. I would rank this experience among the very best that I can recall during my many years of travel. This property is laid out as a resort, as its many venues occupy a large amount of space - something that is very rare in a city environment. There are two towers for guest rooms, each with its own concierge club lounge. There is a quiet, dignified atmosphere throughout. I had breakfast in the concierge club lounge almost daily. I had the occasional buffet breakfast in the restaurant, which offers three different cuisines, and of course a greater variety of items. Frankly, the club lounge was the best for us, made even more special by the excellent personalized service by the staff. For evening, the club lounge has a very extensive offering of wines and full bar. Food choices rotate on a daily basis (see photos). Items include: appetizers, salads, dim sum, sushi, hot mains, and of course at least 5 or 6 dessert options. This was frequently enough for dinner, and we had to restrain ourselves from eating too much. The staff gets to know your favorite beverage, offering it to you as you sit down, waiting on you hand and foot, refilling your glass of wine, and clearing your dishes, etc. One can get spoiled and very used to this level of service!!! There are six full service restaurants on site (see http://singapore.grand.hyatt.com/en/hotel/dining.html for details). We dined at most of them and thoroughly enjoyed them, which we thought were all 4 and 5 star contenders for any restaurant comparison. We used the large fitness center almost daily; the equipment is all state-of-the-art, and kept clean and in magnificent condition by their two full time attendants (see photos). We used the on-site spa and salon for personal treatments and services. Again, this was an excellent experience, commensurate with those experienced on cruise ships. I played tennis on one of the two synthetic turf courts, which is well outfitted with courtside seats, with a resident pro available. These courts are adjacent to the large pool and outdoor/poolside restaurant, specializing in grilled items. Unfortunately, we had a medical emergency during the middle of the night while in residence at the hotel. Fortunately, the hotel staff on duty was most expert and performed admirably and flawlessly under the circumstances. Their training went to perfect use that night. We had a private party in our suite and the food and beverage department did a wonderful job as they went to extraordinary lengths to satisfy our requests. They did so unquestioningly, seamlessly, and without a glitch. I must give full and abundant recognition of the staff! From every department (housekeeping, reception, bell desk, concierge, fitness, restaurant, business services, room service) we were treated professionally, courteously, promptly, and with pleasant smiles!!! I wanted to take them all home with me. For all of these reasons, this 5 star property is unique!!!

This is my first negative review in a long time. When I receive top-notch service, I like to call it out for all to see. When I don't, I like to give the service provider a chance to make amends before complaining publicly. In my experience, companies want to offer their customers value-for-money and make them happy. Not the Grand Hyatt Singapore. In this instance, outreach to management has been met with stony silence, so time to go public. I am a World of Hyatt Globalist member, and typically love the Grand Hyatt brand given their outstanding lobbies, Grand Club benefits, and lavish breakfasts in the main restaurant. Especially in Asia, where I've now stayed at a number of locations (Taipei being my favorite). The breakfast is a special treat when I travel with my family on holiday, since I often have less time to enjoy this when on business. However the Singapore hotel decided I was not entitled to the privilege at the main Straits Kitchen restaurant -- which has the large, diverse breakfast I've come to expect at the Grands -- and instead had to go to the club, which was a comparatively paltry, poor representation of Singapore's amazing cuisine (All of Asia was represented by congee and one dumpling). First time this has happened as a Globalist. But they did have chili sauce for your eggs, which is supposed to count. When I tried to reach a hotel manager by phone, was asked to send an e-mail. No response. Will avoid staying here in the future.

My stay here was frustrating. It had a lot of amazing qualities,but when it came to basic things, it failed and sincerely needs improvement for it to be 5 Stars. When I think of a Five Star experience, I think of perfection. I didn't get that here. First of all, I flew in from Tokyo, a very uncomfortable 6 hour plane flight and arrived in Singapore at midnight. When I checked in at the hotel, I was tired, exhausted and just wanted to get to my room. At midnight, despite getting full attention from the staff, it took more than 10 minutes to get me into my room which is just flat out unacceptable. To make matters worst, the staff seemed incompetent. The credit card used to charge my room is also a debit card and for some reason, the person behind the counter could not understand that debit cards can also be credit cards and must have selected the "debit" card option when swiping my credit card. When you check in at a hotel and the card is swiped as a debit card, an actual charge has to be taken from your card for incidentals (like a deposit). Then, when you check out, the card is then credited for the initial charge used. At the Hyatt, for debit cards, a $400SING charge is made (about $300). The problem with that when swiped as a debit card, the process takes longer. Because this staff person saw my credit card and saw that the card said "debit card", they swiped my card as a debit card. I am in hotels all the time and use my debit/credit card an 99 times out of 100, my card, at all hotel establishments, even in other hotels I've checked in at in Singapore, is swiped as a credit card, NOT A DEBIT CARD. Because of this hassle, which could have been averted by the hotel staff, a lot of time got wasted. They also tried to argue back with me when I told them it was a credit card by telling me "well, the card says it's a debit card." This all would have been averted had they swiped my card as a credit card like most hotels/resorts do. The whole incident was Third World to me. I've been in hotel all over the world and in those countries and never had a problem like this (including other hotels in Singapore). After that snafu, they took a very long time choosing my room and asking me pointless questions like, "you want a non-smoking room?" Why the hell would I want a smoking room? I know I'm being picky, but I was tired and wanted to be in my room. My guess is that the person at the counter was on their first day on the job. If that's the case, I understand, but to the Management of the Grand Hyatt: For late check ins, have an experienced person doing the checking in. I mean, because this experience, I doubt I'll check into the Grand Hyatt Singapore again because there are other comparable resorts in Singapore that will have me in my room in 2 minutes. After that, getting to the room was problematic. First the elevators were rather slow, even at midnight. Then when I got off at my floor, the room was a very long walk. Both of those aren't significant issues to me but at the time they bothered me because I was tired. Once I got to my room, I will say that I was impressed. Super clean, a robe, soft, comfy disposable slippers, a huge, stylish room with complimentary water and all the things necessary so that I didn't have to open my luggage to find my own toothbrush. The bathroom had everything: toothpaste, mouthwash, shaving cream and a shaver, lotion, etc. Very nice. The shower was huge and had this great rain forest feature where the water fell on you from the ceiling. Loved that. One thing I hated about the shower was the scrub for the body wash. It didn't lather the soap. It was a rough device more for rubbing off dead skin and not for cleaning. While that is ok, why not offer a sponge that lathers the soap too? I showered and practically got little soap on myself which was problematic. The vanity area was rather silly. You have a chair and the large space in front of the chair was a wall with tiny mirrors to the left and right side. That made no sense. The king sized bed was very comfortable, BUT,, the mattress is too short. Anyone over 6 feet tall will have a problem. Also, the pillows were too puffy and didn't sink enough and weren't comfortable enough. All in all, the Hyatt was good, but could have been much better. It seems like they have thought of all the sexy features needed for a hotel experience, but neglected on the practical needs LIKE the wi-fi which wasn't reliable here. I will say that the room service was perfect. They cleaned the place up perfectly every time. The checking out process, because they charged it like a debit card, took too long as well. Normally, checking out takes 30 seconds. It took 5 minutes getting out. Had I been late for a flight, that would've been a serious problem. Another reason why I might not consider staying here again. Improve on checking in/out & u have a 5 star experience here.

A very nice hotel with a spacious grand deluxe room - perfect for young kids who need a little space to move around. Room has a fair amount of light brown wood panel decor. Great service, and convenient location to plenty of shopping and food (ion orchard, food republic, isetan). No indoor connection to the aforementioned places though.

It doesn't get much better than the Hyatt ! Most hotels in Singapore are beautiful and nice. Hyatt just goes even above and beyond. They have the most beautiful swimming pool area, the weather is humid outside, and there is an eating area right by the pool. During saturday nights they also have a night club that is located downstairs. Room is very spacious, clean. The front desk are very nice and they really try their best of accommodate you. It is just a beautiful hotel. I would stay here again if I am going to return to Singapore.

The Grand Hyatt Singapore is located on Scotts Road near the beginning of Orchard Road. It took about 40 minutes by taxi to get to the hotel. Upon entering the hotel, we were greeted by the doormen. The lobby was festively decorated with a large Christmas tree. There is a Bang & Olufsen store located right off of the lobby. The front desk is actually situated behind the wall where the concierge desk is located. The front desk agent noted that I was a Hyatt Gold Passport Diamond Member, and then escorted me to the Grand Lounge to complete the check-in process. The Grand Lounge floor has its own "front desk" which are actually several desks where you can comfortably check-in while being able to sit comfortably. I had used a Diamond Suite Upgrade and had been confirmed into a Duplex Suite, but inquired about getting a Grand Suite King instead as I read that the layout was more desirable despite it being a smaller room. I was told that using a Diamond Suite Upgrade would only get me into a Duplex Suite. I was informed that my room was not quite ready yet and it would take several minutes as they were doing a final inspection of the room, as we had arrived at the hotel slightly early. The check-in process took much longer than expected as our room was ready by the time we had completed the check-in process. The front desk agent told me that it would cost $400+ in addition to taxes per night. I told her that I had booked the room using a cash & points booking for this stay which costs 10,000 points and $125 per night. She then told me that I could use points in my account to upgrade to a suite, but that it would still cost in excess of $400 per night. There was a language barrier as we kept going through this exchange for several minutes. It reminded me of the old Abbott and Costello routine, "Who's on First?" A manager then came over and tried to explain the situation. She reported that although she could see that I had made my booking using cash & points, for some reason the points were not deducted from my account at the time of booking. I had insufficient points in my account at that time to cover the 40,000 points required for our four nights there. I told the manager that I would look at my account once I got to the room, and if what she said was correct then I would transfer points in my Hyatt account. The Duplex Suite is two levels, with the ground floor being on the same level as the Grand Lounge. The top floor is actually on the same level as the Grand Lounge. To my knowledge there is no elevator that will take you from the Grand Lounge check-in to the actual Grand Lounge level. Upon entering the room, there is a small kitchen area to the right. Oddly, there is a half bath right next to the kitchen. Past the kitchen, is a large living room with dining room table. There are two couches, a lounge chair, two ottomans and a coffee table. There was a welcome amenity of two bottles of Evian water and a bowl of seven apples. The downstairs area is actually very nice and spacious, but unless you are traveling with children or have guests over I don't see many people spending much time down there. There is a narrow, winding staircase that leads up to the top level. Trying to negotiate your luggage up the stairs can be quite a task. At the top of the stairs is the TV and a luggage rack. The upstairs consists of the bed with lounge chair. There is a dresser and fridge next to the sitting chair. There is a small desk that can double as a vanity area. The space also contains two small closets with dresser drawers. There is an open area that looks down onto the dining room table, giving the impression that the room is actually larger than it is. The upstairs bathroom is rather large, but only contains a single sink with somewhat limited counter space. There is a large, deep tub perfect for soaking. There is a separate shower area with June Jacob bath amenities. The toilet is located next to the shower. Once I get somewhat settled in, I was able to check my Hyatt account and noted that I the Diamond Suite Upgrade had been applied, but for some reason the points were never deducted from my account. Luckily, I was able to transfer some Ultimate Reward points into my Hyatt account to help cover the 40,000 points the stay cost. The points transferred instantly, and I was able to confirm with the front desk that I now had enough points for the stay. Problem resolved thankfully. The view from the room overlooked a rooftop garden, and a rather uninspiring view of the city. The Grand Lounge is somewhat large with several different seating areas. Many times a lounge attendant would greet you as you entered the lounge and would show you to a table. Of course you could also pick where you chose to sit. In the afternoon, lounge offering were somewhat sparse with some fruit, chips, cookies, cake and candy on offer. There is also several display cases of drinks, a coffee maker and free alcohol.

Club Room This hotel is now my fav in Singapore. Even though I have stayed before I wasn't expecting such big changes. To start with their staff are the friendliest in Singapore and their club room which had been relocated and modernised has the most food I have ever seen in a club. Breakfast in the club room is also very good and the coffee not bad. It's a very quiet hotel, we were there over the weekend and not a peep could be heard from our room even though the hotel was at 88% occupancy. We had a driver collect us from the airport and were greated at the door of the hotel by a reception member and her iPad. Obviously our bags were taken care of and the lady was checking us in whilst escorting us to our room. Great location its just a short taxi ride from everything, relaxing waiting area once a taxi has been called for you. I really love it here, the rooms are magic, lots of restaurants if you dont feel like going out.

I have always like the Grand Hyatt - from the rooms to the restaurants to the club. The Grand Deluxe room is like a junior suite with a separate bedroom which is nice. Just pull the sliding door to separate the sitting and desk area from the sleeping area. As with any 5-star hotels, the bedding is plush and comfortable. The room is welcoming with light wood, glass and mirror. A clean look. The main restaurants are still the same - Mezza 9, Straits Kitchen, Oasis and Pete's Place. Of the four, Pete's Place is a disappointment to me but it is such an institution having been around for over 20 years or more now. I know many people have fond memories of Pete's Place like they do for The Ship and Shashlik, but I find the food quality to be on the average side, especially for the pasta dishes. The salad bar and pizza would be better choices. Mezza 9 and Straits Kitchen are top notch with a wide selection of cuisines. Martini Bar at Mezza 9 is also a great place to get a respite from the heat during the day when it is quieter. At night, it is crowded especially when Happy Hour is on. 10 Scotts (previously known as Scotts Lounge) is a lounge area and has a view of the waterfall. The afternoon tea is fabulous but not the 2 sitting timing imposed. I hate being rushed. At night it is another nice place for drinks if you want somewhere quieter than Martini Bar. Brix is the dance club in the basement where the live band is rotated among the Hyatts in the region every 3-4 months. I used to go there every weekend because of the live band. It plays top 40 music.If you ask around or observe more, you may see plenty of other actions going on. It has a reputation but it is still a good place for the older crowd (above 25 yrs old). Besides the dance area, there is a smaller area for wine and whiskey. The pool is idyllic with lush greenery around. The spa is much better now after the renovation and the fitness center also offers exercise classes like capoeira and muay thai besides yoga and pilates. The only drawback for the Grand Hyatt is the parking. The car park is deplorable. It is old, still stuck in the times when it was built probably. It is a hassle to get to the main hotel building and is quite confusing. Signage could be better both in the car park and inside the hotel. There is only one elevator which can get you to the hotel from the car park and it is hidden away. It is quite a mad rush after any functions, especially wedding dinners or D&D.

Have you ever experienced being upgraded when you checked into a hotel? Well, it's very nice when it happens, right? My experience has been extraordinary! We booked the hotel through Agoda for a club floor room to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary. When we were at the front office counter, we were told by the manager that he's going to upgrade us and we can't ask for late checkout. We figured, that's fine. Then he told us that he's giving us the Presidential Suite!!! This is the room that dignitaries stay in when they visit the hotel! It's as if we've hit lottery! We couldn't believe our luck! Truly blessed! And when we told them of our celebration, he sent us a very beautiful and delicious cheese cake! The room is huge!! With private jacuzzi, steam and jet bath, sauna, fully stocked kitchen, office, living and dining room for 10! And with walk-in wardrobe! The whole works! And B&O sound system and flat screen tv in every room!

The Grand King in the Terrace Wing was my room for the stay. The generous 42sqm of warm and relaxing timber environment came with a functional extended workstation bathed in natural daylight. To keep guests entertained, a 37-inch flat screen television with personal audio/video connection, including a DVD/CD/VCD player, allows you to chill out from the comfort of the plush soft goose down king bed with fluffy pillows. Other than the fabulous room, what i like about Hyatt is their willingness to listen to their guests. Hyatt is Listening, a customer oriented project, focuses on tailoring the stay for each and every of their guest. Hyatt Has It, one of the enhanced services for all guests, offer essentials such as a phone charger, curling iron, steamer, yoga mat, makeup remover wipes and razors to keep, borrow or buy! You only need to bring yourself to Hyatt and everything would be provided for. Best way to rest and relax! With bubbly in hand, i had a nice warm bubbly soak in the lovely tub and experienced yet another nice touch by Hyatt with their high quality June Jacobs bath amenities. I love the light fragrance of the Green Tea and Cucumber infused products. Guests staying in Grand Club Rooms also enjoy a host of additional benefits and privileges including complimentary Internet, and the use and access to their Grand Club Lounge, which serves complimentary Continental breakfast, evening cocktails and all day beverages. I helped myself to some delicious sweet and savory bites before my spa session. A mix of hot and cold finger food are available. Make your own salad with the fresh greens or go with some hearty pastas. Gotta love the variety of cheeses available for the picking. Perfect with the selection of red, white and bubbly at the drinks station. Next, i headed to Damai Spa to experience their Signature massage. Each treatment room has its own shower but i took the opportunity to check out the public shower area shared with the gym. A sauna, steam room, hot and cold plunge pools are available in both the male and female locker rooms. Perfect way to rejuvenate after a grueling session at the gym. After being kneaded thoroughly, i headed to dinner at Oasis, a BBQ restaurant with an open bar, where chefs prepare meat and seafood selections a la minute on the open charcoal-fired grills. It's located on the 5th Level of the Terrace Wing, same level as Damai Spa, the gym and the pool. Another part of the Hyatt is Listening project is to maintain their guests' health and well-being on the road. Their new menu offerings include fresh juices and smoothies, balanced portions and "create your own" options. We made our own fried brown rice with plenty of shredded cabbage and carrots, baby corn, mushrooms and some chili to taste. This was very addictive. Woke up early for my morning Sun Salutation at the gym before heading for breakfast at the Grand Club Lounge. Buttery and crispy chocolate pain, served alongside eggs of our choice and plenty of juices, coffee, muesli and cheese. Perfection. For your consideration if you're looking for a luxurious hotel/staycation.

Went to a good friend's wedding dinner here. She rented out the function room on the second floor and managed to fit in at least 12 tables of 10 people (with ample space). The waiters / service was excellent, they were very attentive and saw to it that all the food was delivered swiftly. The menu my friend selected was delicious and I was very happy with the Chinese food. Great atmosphere , good place for a wedding dinner - pretty nice and posh . They had a performance on the stage and played videos displayed on four sides, - played perfectly, loud and clear - no hitches or feedback. We also received complimentary macaroons to take home.

I've stayed here a few times over the last 3 years and have never been disappointed. I once checked in to a suite in the old wing which was spacious and had a lovely bathroom. The bedroom was separated from the living room area where sat a spacious desk. I didn't care much for the view of our concrete jungle that is the Orchard district but it was nice to relax on plush furniture. On another occasion I stayed in the newer wing. It was an executive suite - but more like a really big bedroom with a flat-screen TV and enough space for a small party of 7-10. Late last year I came back to the hotel for a wedding. The banquet hall is huge and the food was great, although they served shark's fin soup and I felt bad eating it. Apparently it is one of the last few hotels in Singapore that still has shark's fin on their menu, but I'm not sure if this has changed recently.

First off, I am coming from a design perspective. I am a fan of beautiful design, beautiful spaces and beautiful experiences. So, my review will come from that perspective. The Grand Hyatt Singapore had one of the most cool-looking hotel rooms I've ever seen ( see photos I supplied above). I would describe it as a weird but cool mix of Scandinavian and Asian. The wall art/paintings were mediocre and were the only downside to an otherwise well-designed and gorgeous space. As for the rest of the hotel areas I've seen (gym, business center and in-house restaurants - also see pics I supplied), all were stunning, polished and sophisticated. The dramatic waterfall you'll pass by just to get to the gym is something I'll never forget. As for what the other reviewers mentioned about the service, I too agree that the level of customer service was very high. Which is an object of beauty in itself.

Yes, rooms at the Hyatt are expensive, but most hotels in Singapore are these days. If you can swing the price or if you're a club member and can get in with points, definitely consider the Grand Hyatt. I stayed here last summer while in Singapore for a few days, and my parents stayed again just a couple of weeks ago. Both visits were stellar. Being based "in town" has it's perks: awesome shopping next door, plenty of food options (everything from restaurants to food courts nearby), MRT downstairs, taxis in abundance. We were upgraded to a mini-suite, which was spacious and modern, with an incredible bathroom. Nice pool and gym, club level serves up a pretty amazing brunch and happy hour spread, and if you need parking, they'll comp you (and your friends). We had a few snafus in regards to the card keys and other issues, and the manager went above and beyond to take care of us. In fact, everyone on staff was incredible- from the maids to the concierge to the club room staff. This is the number one reason I'd stay here again-- service is absolutely top notch and they really go out of their way to make your stay comfortable.

I stayed here for business so I'm not sure of the pool and salon experiences but I'm sure they're great. Excellent hotel and excellent service. The gym is incredibly nice, the staff is responsive to your needs, and the rooms are well kept. The only critique I have, and what is keeping me from giving it 5 stars is that I could often hear my neighbors in the adjoining rooms. That was a bit of a distraction...especially at 3:00 am and your neighbors are having more fun than you are :).

This is one of the best places to stay in Singapore in the Orchard Road district. Beautiful highrise and fantastic restaurants. The seafood and sushi offerings on the mezzanine are out of this world if you have the time and money to take your time and relax. The rooms are modern and large by American standards and very very clean. Beautiful bathrooms as well and suites are reasonably priced. I absolutely love this place and the Hyatt guest program is very generous if you stay often. Grand Hyatt is my preferred choice in Singapore, Melbourne, and Bangkok. Can't wait to stay here again on our next visit!

The staff, in every single portion of the hotel, were beyond spectacular and provided excellent service. From the sweet housekeeping staff asking, "You okay today, lah?" to the room service porters backing out of the suite with their faces facing you. Everything was well done and this is a great example of what a Hyatt should be. (In contrast, the abysmal Hyatt Place in Raleigh, NC USA could learn a thing or seven from this property.) Saya amat mengesyorkan hotel ini kerana kakitangan dan harta yang sangat baik. Lokasi tidak boleh dibandingkan dengan mana-mana lokasi dan bilik tidur adalah menakjubkan. Ok, lah?!?? I did not change suites during my stay: however, I do know that some suites are not as nice as the one I was in. With that being said, my suite had hardwood floors in the living spaces and a light intricate marble in the baths. Everything was softly backlit and well done. All the colours in the suite worked well together and is just, overall, indicative of why this is a highly regarded hotel here in Singapore. The lobby and front carousel can be hectic but the staff handle it very well. If you're in Singapore for holiday or business, this hotel is highly recommended and receives my rare five stars.

I had one of the best working vacations I've ever taken and a large part of it was because of this amazing hotel. It had a good location, well designed room, and amazing lounge. I don't have a single complaint. I'd definitely stay here again if I return to Singapore.

Located in main shopping district and steps from the Orchard road subway stop, the Grand Hyatt Singapore made our stay great. Booked a king deluxe room with club access. Since there's 3 of us requested a roll away bed. Room was spacious. Fixtures and flooring a few years old but not too bad. Club access at overseas Hyatt's are usually fabulous and the one here was no exception. Breakfast had eastern and western selections and varied daily. A chef manned an egg/omelet station. Pancake machine and toaster, fruit, juice, potatoes, congee, bao buns, shiu mei, cereal, milk, yogurt... u get the idea. Had all u need. The cocktail hour was even better. Since we were there for Christmas, families with children utilized a ballroom and there was even a play area wIth Disney movies playing. Full open bar, sushi rolls, salads, various entrees like turkey, fried rice, chicken wings, pizza, etc. I honestly didn't want to eat outside the hotel but did so a few times out of convenience and so I could try local cuisine like Hainan chicken and Laksa. Pool was big and nice, outdoors, and a 5 minute walk from the elevator. Lots of families there when I went during the day. There's a few cabanas and also a warm outdoor shower to rinse off. Workout room ok size for a hotel, near pool and spa area so also a ways from elevator. Had about 3 cycles 4 treadmills a few ellipticals, basic machines like a smith, chest press, lat bar. A few free weights. Water dispenser. They had Christmas carolers one night in the lobby. Forgot to mention the regular check in area is behind a wall when u enter the lobby and the concierge and Hyatt member check in are at the front which I found odd. For club access rooms u can go check in on top floor but there was no line so I just did it downstairs. Very comfortable stay the ice cold a/c was a life saver. Only thing preventing 5 stars is rooms could use a remodel soon and shower had a small leak. All the staff were courteous and helpful.

Fabulous hotel. Excellent location next to great shopping, restaurants, and convenient transportation (MRT). Great staff that was attentive to every request. Very accommodating to our request for early check-in to help overcome jet lag. Deluxe room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay again on a future trip.

This place is a great location if you want to be close to restaurants and other scenery. My husband and I only used the place to sleep, but from our experience, it was great - service, amenities, and all. Housekeeping even arranged the cosmetics, hairbrush, etc. I had out neatly on a hand towel. Can't get better than that.

This review is purely for their ballrooms. My family attended a relative's wedding dinner here. The lighting and décor in the ballroom were aesthetically pleasing. In addition, the food and service were excellent. We had an amazing dining experience here.

I looooove the Grand Hyatt Singapore, it's like my 2nd home. I'm in the process of moving to Singapore for work and have spent many nights at the GH Singapore as my de facto "home" away from home while planning my move and working out of Asia. I love the friendly staff and service here and the location can't be beat. I measure all hotels against the GH Singapore now...

The rooms are great and room service better. I would expect no less from a Grand Hyatt. But having visited many Hyatts around the world, the Singapore one does indeed have one of the best service worldwide. The dining options? Impeccable. Some of the best dining in Singapore from mezza9 to straits kitchen whose buffet is renown for its variety of local food. Even mezza9's midautumn mooncakes are such exquisite little pieces of culinary art of the most delectable flavours from Sakura to Champagne truffle and sesame yuzu. It was a difficult decision to rate it 4 star because there is nothing 4 star about the place in general. Sadly their ballrooms are really lacklustre compared to every other aspect of the hotel. For that, I'm sad to say, it has to be a 4.

This property knows how to treat is Diamond members-and by that I mean they are very willing to give upgrades. Upon check in you are escorted to the Lounge - we were able to check in at 10AM - made it in time for the breakfast at the lounge which was a nice array of pastries. Our suite upgrade brought us into the Grand Suite which was a bit on the small side but functional for two. Each night we enjoyed the Canapes, and it didn't appear to be ready all the time but that was fine. Would def stay here again if I am back at Singapore. I believe they also treat Platinum members fairly well too.

Families with children Beware! On Wed 2 Jul 2014, two of my Mommy friends and I decided to have high tea at 10 SCOTTS with our 3 girls, aged 4-6. Prior to the day, I had made a booking & informed the Restaurant that there will be 3 kids aged 4-6 in our party. My reservation was accepted. On the day itself, us Mommies & our girls were having a good time chatting & playing together. Towards the end of our happy tea at around 5pm, a Caucasian man of unknown origin, who came in after us to seat at a nearby table, on his way out of the Restaurant, walked up to our table & rudely told us that our kids moved too much, talked too much and we had zero control over our kids. He also said that we were extremely rude for not controlling our kids & letting them walk "everywhere" (meaning in front of him). He then said his kids were ALWAYS perfectly seated in a Restaurant & NEVER walked around. Throughout this nasty outpouring, the Restaurant Manager was standing silently behind this extremely rude diner who went on non-stop negatively. Shortly after this nasty outpouring, the Restaurant Manager came to us to ask us to "do him a favour" and ask our kids to seat. We ended our lovely tea on a crashing low. (1) At point of reservation the Restaurant did not inform me that they had a no kids policy OR the kids needed to be of a certain age OR required the kids to behave in a "certain way" before we could dine there; (2) Throughout our entire 2 hour tea, prior to the nasty outpouring of this diner, neither the Restaurant Manager nor any of the staff came up to us to request our kids to stay seated or keep silent; (3) For a hotel that boasts to promote "quality family bonding time at our City Hotel in Singapore" & even offers baby-sitting service on their website, our experience has proven to be contrary. To clarify, our kids did not go up to disrupt the other diners at their tables, nor break any lamps (or other furniture), utensils or buffet setup (carving or bread stations etc) nor treat the Restaurant staff rudely or poorly. At some point during our tea, us Mommies & ad hoc other diners even chatted louder than our kids! In view of this negative experience, perhaps it is time for the Hotel to rethink their dining policy at 10 Scotts or retrain their staff to manage a more family accepted environment? It would have been good if the Restaurant Manager could have stepped up to explain to the unpleasant diner that the Restaurant accepted young children dining there. For us, we will not be dining there again nor recommend the Hotel to any of our friends, especially if they are travelling with children.

I have not stayed at this hotel but, like Kristian C., I think it scores major points for design in all the public areas. I'm also a regular visitor to their spa. I've had several meals here: Mezza 9 and 10 Scotts, as well as drinks in Martini Bar. None of those blew me away. Fairly standard, competent, hotel fare at prices probably not worthy of the quality. But the hotel looks great and just feels good and I respect its position as an Orchard Rd stalwart.

I really like this hotel. Will preface upfront I had a club room and the club room was very well done. Location is great. The only con I had was the crazy amount of "working girls" at the hotel, especially the club in the hotel. I realize it is a different environment but this hotel is a little overboard with the local "talent". That being said I will definitely come back when I am next in Singapore

Stayed here a couple of times during transition to moving to Singapore, but my partner stayed here for nearly three months! In this time we really got to know the people that do all the hard work at the hotel. They sure have their work cut out for them with long hours and guests with lots of needs. That included us! The older part of the hotel has larger rooms with decor that is slightly dated, and yet who cares when you get a living room, small walk in closet, bedroom and spacious bathroom. If you can manage to book on the club floors (as we did) this is really a good deal. Club floor benefits include: in the morning a breakfast buffet on the 20th floor which is a delight with a good variety of foods for almost anyone. I remember one morning randomly waking up and wishing for duck meat and there it was - smoked duck meat - on the breakfast buffet. Pretty funny. In the evenings the guests on the club floors can also enjoy cocktail hour with free flowing beverages and more buffet nibbles to wind down or wind up an evening. As for the service, there were a few times we needed things - room service, more hangers, more coffee powder, whatever it was, we were able to get what we needed from a friendly staff member and very quickly. We used the business center to print out maps, necessary paperwork, even letters to send home to family. We also used the center to check out and avoid any long lines (or noise) downstairs in the front lobby area Other notes: I found the hotel to be mostly quiet in the room, but sometimes you could hear footsteps or the shower or shower drain running from above. In the hallways quiet is requested so generally the halls were very quiet, peaceful. The pool area is lovely and relaxing, especially if you swim a bit and then sit at the Oasis restaurant next to the pool to order a beverage or have some grilled veggies or whatnot. Then the spa - my partner went there for a massage and said it was the best ever, ever, ever. And - bonus - he was not sore the next day at all. So that is really excellent as well. Would I return to the Grand Hyatt? Yes, I would. I would recommend it to others, and I look forward to staying there again some time by using up some of those Hyatt points and trading them for a free room night or to cover a massage at the spa. So indeed if you travel a lot, sign up for their free frequent stay program (like a frequent flyer miles program) so you can enjoy benefits. Bravo to Grand Hyatt Singapore!

We had a wonderful stay here. Arrived around midnight into Singapore and took a taxi from ICN. Despite it being after midnight (surcharge time), the taxi was only around S$20. Not bad at all. Check-in was smooth, but no matter what time of day it is, there is a constant crowd of like 30 people standing around the entrance. Our room was wonderful. Clean, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. My only beef is that it was really lacking in plug-ins, despite being in a suite with an entire office/living room area. We were still scrambling to find a place to plug in a laptop, 2 phones and a camera. Absolutely no noise within the room at night, too! At check-in, we were told that with the suite and our status, we were entitled to complimentary breakfast at StraitsKitchen. Incredible. The best breakfast buffet I've ever been to. They had a ton of Singaporean fare (congee, rice, dumplings, etc) as well as traditional Western breakfast like eggs, french toast, and sausage. It was a really great start to our time in Singapore. The only SNAFU was when we went to check out and had to go back and forth with the staff about being charged for it. Bah. It worked out in the end, but communication between the staff is clearly lacking, so if you are offered any amenities make sure you get it in writing and bring that to check-out. I would definitely return here for another stay. Walking distance to Orchard Road and a very short (affordable) cab to the heart of downtown/Marina Sands.

Held a dinner event at Grand Hyatt last year, with about 300 in attendance. Worked with a lady called Guek Peng, and everything was painless enough. Menu was ok, sound system went on without a hitch, the guys on standby that night were very efficient, and accommodated numerous requests for additional car park coupons. Prior to the dinner, I had to hold a lunch meeting at Mezza9 for foreign delegates. Again, no issues here though there was a bit of a mix up with the rooming arrangements.

Very nice property in a great location. Close to shopping, MRT and an abundance of amenities. Everyone is very friendly. The pool area is lovely and the use of the spa facilities (steamroom, whirlpool, cold pool, gym, locker room, etc.) is included in the price of the room, which is not entirely common at Hyatt properties. My only complaint is that the main restaurant is 'buffet' style which doesn't fit my particular taste. The ala-carte items are very expensive, however I do understand this is a high end business hotel in a relatively expensive city.

The hotel is within walking distance to shopping malls and restaurants. They have good food and Great services. We got a nice, roomy, clean suite. Their vanity box has all the things you need in the bathroom. Oh, their shower is the best. My room has the rain forest kind of shower heads (yeah, more than 1 shower heads) and they are not afraid of using water ;)

Great location and wonderful service. We loved the Oasis bar and free Wi-Fi came with our room. Public wi-fi available everywhere even the pool. The bar 10 Sotts is very sophisticated. The gym awesome be sure to check out the locker room where sauna, steam and whirlpools are available. My only complaint is there is no casual bar on hand. 10 Scotts is wonderful but not a place to go without dressing up a bit.

Best part is the location and the service. In the heart of the city. I am not a fan of their restaurants. Their buffet breakfast restaurant has a large spread. Average though and the menu almost never changes. Rooms are dated.

We went to this place back in October 2011. Best buffet I had so far. The price was reasonable , especially after we had high tea at Raffles hotel in the Tiffany room ^_^" yes, bad mistake!! $126 for 2 people for chinese dim sum. Anyways, the food at Hyatt was delicious and had great variety. They even had chilli crab - famous dish in Singapore. The food quality was nice restaurant qualities. Quantity normally translates into lower quality but not with Hyatt. We will definitely go there again on our next visit. The only thing I remember now is that my husband was too full. ^_^ of course, right?
