Sanyod (Sathon-Bang Rak)

"For over 50 years, a small alley stall has been serving up Thai-Cantonese noodles to regulars. Its modern dining room, across from the initial take-out spot, offers specialties like secret-sauce chargrilled duck and crispy shrimp balls with mustard greens in sticky sauce. The menu also features tender clay pot-braised beef." - Michelin Inspector

Best Chinese Restaurants in Thailand to Welcome the Year of the Pig

"This tiny noodle shop tucked away in a small alley has attracted a loyal fan base for over 50 years with its tasty Thai-Cantonese fare. Regulars come for the char grilled roast duck marinated with a secret sauce from the shop's founder. Egg noodles get a boost in egg content for extra fluffiness. There are four branches in town and this one is the original shop that seats only 25 people but it has extended to a restaurant on the opposite side of the street." - Colin Ho

Wow, this michelin recommended Cantonese restaurant really delivered. The interior reminded me of simple but grand dining halls, perfect for large families or groups. They are known for their tender duck and meats so I ordered the duck stuffed with taro and the pork steak in pea gravy. Both were excellent balancing sweet, sticky and savory well. Both executed perfectly. 615 baht for two generous dishes, rice and iced coffee which I consider good value.

A colleague's recommendation 😁 popped in after a near by meeting. So many awards awarded 😀. FOOD: Chinese cuisine, Rad-na and Pad si-ewe was particularly nice 😁. Good quality, portion size is ok. 8.5/10 SERVICE: old style, attentive but on the senior side so please have a little patience 😊. 8.5/10 FACILITY: lovely decorated, enough table not to be too crowded 😊, not sure of parking though. 8.5/10. PRICE: reasonable... 8.5/10

Great Chinese restaurant with an old traditional store. The dishes were all very good. Many people ordered the iced tea, which was refreshing and unlimited. It seems to taste better than their other branches. A little hard to get to. But it is popular and full of customers.

The food there deserves Michelin guide🤌🏻 I came back here so many time. The table is quite limited and crowded. The restaurant won't accept pre-reservation.

We tried this restaurant as we are staying nearby and it’s listed in the Michelin guide. It’s opened during lunch and dinner hours, and they do closed on time. We ordered a soup and a couple of typical Cantonese dishes. Taste was just okay, and I feel the flavor could be better. It’s hard to convince me to try again when I’m back in the city. Service was fast during lunch and not very busy, maybe due to normal weekday afternoon.

This is always one of the stop for me when I come Bangkok. Food is super nice, Chinese will know that it has that special wok taste in the noodle. Make sure u order the shrimp roll it is super good and portion is big!!!
