Grappa

This was our first visit to Grappa and will not be our last. The food was absolutely incredible and made our Christmas Day. The cocktails were spot on and did not disappoint! What made the meal even more enjoyable and memorable was our server Shayan. He was super attentive, engaging and made amazing suggestions for our meal and drinks. He’s very knowledgeable and his customer service is impeccable! We will definitely be coming back!

Grappa is a fantastic spot! Went with my office colleagues and we were all impressed. The atmosphere is upscale and inviting, and the food was absolutely delicious. Top-notch ingredients and presentation. It is quite expensive, so it's more of a splurge, but worth it for a special team dinner or for a celebration.

Scott was an amazing waiter and we had such a good evening! Food was phenomenal, especially the Brussels/bacon/brie combo and the bolognese!! Had a great crisp Pilsner too. Drool worthy stuff here!

After my birthday dinner, I felt like getting a drink and saw Grappa nearby. I had read about grappa in books about Italy but had never tried it. I stopped in and asked about the liqueur. They told me about the different kinds and showed me the wall of grappa. For my first time, I wanted a non infused flavor, so the bartender suggested grappa bianca. It was very good with multiple layers of flavors…it’s like an amaretto, it’s like a whiskey, it’s like a wine. While sipping my grappa I ordered the creamy burrata arugula to snack on. It was delicious! For my final digestive. I asked the bartender for a limoncello, she said they didn't have a limoncello but found a bottle of limoncino. We quickly learned that limoncino is the same liqueur but made in the north of Italy (come on north it's limoncello). It was delicious. The service was exceptional by the bartender (Saylor) who helped me pick a grappa and found the limoncino. The atmosphere was fantastic. It was a great way to end my birthday.

I used to live on Queen Ann and loved Grappa. We are moving out of the city and decided to treat ourselves to Xmas eve out. There were 3 of us and we had the prefix Xmas meal. We were a last minute reservation and had no problem being seated outside. The inside had a Xmas tree and was festive and had great ambience. We were in the forgotten cave of sadness. We paid the same for half the service and zero ambience. A candle or ...anything festive for our table and outdoor seating would have been nice. Almost $600. for 3 people for a very very mediocre dining experience.. I would not recommend them again . That makes me sad, because Grappa has good food, and when we saw any staff they were friendly.

I went to Grappa because I saw the Paella dish on the menu and had to try it. Its was perfect with great seafood and seasoning. The service was very friendly and prompt which is great. However, the lighting is very dark and a little too gothic for my taste. I sat at the bar and the seats were not comfortable at all. Also the wine list is very limited which is too bad because Washington State has such great wines.

What a fantastic little spot! We had a wonderful dinner before our event, and our server Max took wonderful care of us. Thank you so much, we look forward to coming back!

Great Mediterranean place with a diverse menu and lots of vegetarian options! Came here on a recommendation and the menu online which I found to be impressive in the number of options I actually wanted to try. So often, not many mains entice me but I was struggling to decide here. Kind of a dark, moody vibe (love the dripping candles) and hopping even on a random weeknight. Started with the hummus - very good. We also both ordered wine. I was between two and the waitress brought me a tasting sample of each. I love that. Made my decision much easier! For mains, we really struggled to select only 2 options, but we went with the branzino and the spicy sausage rigatoni. Both were wonderful, with good flavor, decent portions, and cooked to perfection. Looking forward to another trip out so I can try more options on their menu!

In town visiting Seattle' Queen Anne area and Grappa came up as a great food option. Grappa suggests Italian but I would say more med fusion style food with familiar classics with their own spin. Overall their food is fun and delicious. One of my faves was the Paella. Definitely looked the part but flavor was a little different. Fire example the sausages were not chorizo but were more Italian. . My other fave was the seafood crepe. Definitely a savory crepe that head plenty of crab. The hollandaise add a nice flavor punch as well. Also they have a full bar with plenty of family classics with their own takes added in. Our waiter was super friendly and pointed us to some good options. He talked about the fusion style of food and took care of us. He made our experience even better. The overall decor of the place was darker with graphite colored walls and medium wood tables. Thr vibe was more modern comfort. You could have great brunch there but definitely be good for evening drinks. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in the area.

Today I learned, Grappa is an Italian alcoholic beverage - grape based brandy, and this restaurant is named after that. We made reservations just in case for Thursday 8pm dinner but it was not too busy and got seated earlier than our reservation time. We shared an appetizer and entree as the dishes are fairly large sized, and I am glad that they put in calories in each menu item to get a good gauge on if it is enough food. We got the American wagyu bites and seafood risotto, as well as 2 kinds of grappas as we never had grappa before and given the restaurant is named as such, they must have a good selection. The American wagyu bites are above average but I wouldn't consider it a good price at $39. I liked the very rich sauce but it is a bit on the saltier side, but it is a good pairing with the grilled rosemary bread. The steak is cut into bite sized chunks and seem to be cooked to a medium, which makes it quite juicy, but there weren't many pieces. The seafood risotto is amazing. I liked the lobster bisque addition for enhanced flavor, but the risotto itself is quite creamy and delicious. The salmon is okay but the shrimp is large and fresh, and there is a good amount of them in the dish (5 pieces). The grappas we got were by recommendation of the server and they paired well with the respective dishes. They were around $11-16 for most, but some are at least $30+. As we were new to grappa, we got the less expensive options and still greatly enjoyed the flavors. Service is good as water refills were present and we got checked up a few times if we needed anything. The server also gave great recommendations that shaped a positive experience to this meal. The only downside I see is that prices are way above to the typical restaurant, so I would recommend this primarily for more special occasion meal.

Went here for lunch and it was pretty good. Service was nice and friendly, it's a nice spot, we got seated pretty fast. The mimosa was good. The paella was good but I felt like maybe a lil pricy but I think paellas are usually pricy. We did share the dish and I felt like it was enough for two of us bc we weren't so hungry. Overall it was good, would need to come back to have real opinions

We finally made it to Grappa for dinner, some of our friends love the place and wanted us to try it. I loved the ambiance and the service was great. To start we got Spicy Feta Corn, and Saganaki. Saganaki was a fun experience where they set it on fire at the table, we loved the cheese. Spicy Feta Corn was great, we finished it immediately. I got the Spicy sausage Rigatoni, and loved it. I also got to try Grappa's Famous Paella and liked it. We finished our meal with the Flourless Chocolate Cake, it was amazing.

Grappa is a great date night spot! The ambiance is dark and intimate, and the restaurant was lively when we went. We tried the Seattle Restaurant Week menu. We started off with some drinks, which were tasty and strong. The appetizers were just okay--The oysters tasted fresh, but had some hard shell remnants. The wagyu bites had a lovely sauce, but weren't as tender as I expected. The spicy sausage rigatoni was perfectly al dente and not too rich. The lamb osso bucco fell apart easily, and paired really well with the hearty potatoes and sauce. Both were fantastic! Dessert was a pumpkin panna cotta and flourless chocolate cake. I think the flourless chocolate cake was one of the best I've tried! Our server was polite and attentive, which made our night even better. The only other complaint--we were seated next to the open patio door, so the wind was too cold. I would try to sit away from that door during the winter months.

This is my FAVORITE restaurant in Seattle. My boyfriend and I ate there twice during our trip because it was so good. Please get the Chicken Marsala Pasta dish it's fantastic. I'm not really a mushroom fan but it was SO delicious and flavorful. Their butternut squash soup, which may be seasonal, was insanely good too. (I would skip the paella though ... it was a bit dry!) We had such kind and friendly servers and the restaurant itself is very spacious. It's also in a really nice area so you can go for a walk after dinner.

What an excellent find in the heart of the West Queen Anne / Uptown area. This is an Italian Mediterranean fusion spot that has a diverse and impressive array of selections to try from. I ordered the spicy sausage rigatoni, which our waitress informed us that local customers complained when it was removed from the menu, and after trying it I understand why they wanted it back. It was very flavorful which the right amount of spice and the protein was a really good addition to this hearty pasta. In addition to the pasta, I also ordered a Hugo spritz which was delicious as well. Overall I would rate this place 4.1 / 5 stars.

Came in right after the Queen Anne Farmers Market. We were seated quickly without reservation on the patio and they allowed us to bring our dog! The patio is covered and a good size. We didn't go inside this time. We ordered the Caesar Salad with chicken and the halibut. The Caesar salad was perfect. The halibut had great flavor and was a hit with us. Great wine selection as well! The staff were very friendly and nice. Can't wait to eat here again!

We've eaten at Grappa twice now and have enjoyed both occasions. This restaurant is a great choice for a celebration dinner or if you are looking for something slightly more upscale than your average sit down. The food was delicious each time. Most recently we started with the octopus app and the octopus was cooked perfectly. I had the spicy sausage rigatoni and would definitely recommend. The second time visiting we did wait about 15 or 20mins between our appetizer and main courses, but that didn't occur the first time, so may have just been a busy night. The restaurant does get busy, especially on weekends so I would recommend getting a reservation to avoid a long wait. Overall, a great choice on top only Queen Anne!

Was staying in the area for a staycation and went here back to back (dinner and next day breakfast) . Dinners vibe was dim lit with decor of melted candles. I ordered the Spaghetti D'mare and ate every bite! For breakfast the vibe is bright and windows openly cheerful w/same decor. I ordered the Mediterranean skillet and OMG! Amazing filled with flavor and tons of food! All the staff were great and we had the same bartender/waitress both times "Mariah" and she was a sweetheart! I've already recommended this place!

Really friendly staff, casual vibe, menu that crisscross the Mediterranean (Greek, Italian, Spanish....). Tried a few sharable plates- table-flamed saganaki is showy, octopus is tender, side of broccolini a good option if you are on a diet. Salads are generous size but HEAVILY dressed- ask for it on the side if you try it. Probably wouldn't return, but it's a nice spot with something on the menu for everyone if you are in the neighborhood

First time trying Grappa and it was very satisfying. My local friends took me here for dinner and it was such a vibe. All of the dishes we shared were good. I remember the gnocchi and the risotto being especially yummy. We got patio seating. Service was attentive and friendly.

I have eaten here many times and every time I have been pleased with the service and the food. (I always get the saganaki.) My only complaint is they need to get rid of those big piles of melted wax that are everywhere. They are gray and look dirty and take away from the ambience. Others agree with me. Other than that, this is my go-to place on Queen Anne.

Ambience: Cozy, perfect for a date night! Food: I'd give this a 4/5. Most dishes hit the sweet spot. I particularly liked the zucchini noodles! I feel their Paella could have been more flavorful, it didn't feel as authentic but was still good. :) Service: The staff is really kind! They accommodated us although they were fully booked out by opening their restaurant slightly early for us. :)

4.5 This was a really cute spot for dinner. The food was very good and the staff was very accommodating. Loved that the night we were there they were playing 90s and early 2000s hip hop and R&B.

Grappa is a Greek-Italian restaurant located at a busy corner in the Queen Anne Hill neighborhood in Seattle, right across from Starbucks. Plenty of metered street parking. We took my parents here for dinner and chose it since our 4yo son also loves Mediterranean cuisine. We had four excellent dishes and one really bad one, so 4-stars overall factoring in service and the laid-back vibes of the restaurant with wooden decor. Otherwise, food is probably 3.5 stars. Good dishes (4 stars) * Spaniard Octopus - They braises it, so very tender. It comes with pickled onions and pita bread. * Kid's Pasta - Custom Rigatoni dish with chicken and lemon-butter sauce, my son's favorite. * Scallops Piccata - My parents shared this dish and loved it. Scallops are light but the fettuccine is filling! * Roasted Lemon Chicken - Excellent - the lemony flavors were infused with the bone-in half chicken and the roasted potatoes. Bad Dish (2 stars) * Their Paella had really, really dry rice and not all of the mussels were fresh. Did they forget the broth or maybe cooked the Bejeezus out of the rice? My parents took this dish home and attempted to rehydrate it before reheating. Desserts - The pistachio and vanilla gelato are both good and suitable for sharing. However, their tiramisu and bread pudding dishes both have alcohol so not ideal for toddlers.

Wonderful vibey atmosphere with delicious cocktails and tasty food. The best dish here I've tried is their butternut soup. It tastes like the greatness of butternut smashed with truffles and other goodness. I often think about this soup and hope that it's always on the menu wow. There is live music on some nights, featuring a wonderfully talented musician.

The food was good and well portioned and plated. The drink was also very tasty. The service was attentive and kind. We sat on the covered patio which has heaters and is dog friendly. They were very kind to our pups! The ambiance was nice since we mostly had the whole patio to ourselves and it was a cloudy January day. We would definitely go back, especially because they are dog friendly!

Came here for brunch on a weekend. Would recommend if you live in the area or want to show off upper Queen Anne. It was easy to get a reservation for five online. Decent brunch menu and cocktails. Food was 4/5 but can't complain. Great service and was cheaper than the $$$ suggested by Yelp (not saying it was cheap though, by seattle prices seemed pretty typical). Ambience is cute, it's certainly a good date spot. Weirdly they have all these melted wax candles everywhere. Maybe they look cuter at night when it's dark and they're actually lit but in the light of day look like Halloween decorations that someone forgot to take down.

I haven't been here since the summer, and I'm so pleased that I decided to pop in today! It was a bit of a stressful day, and I only mention that because the vibe at Grappa immediately soothed me. Easy going piano jazz playing at just the right volume, and the restaurant lights are down low. All I wanted was a yummy salad and a glass of Red Mountain Syrah, and I got exactly that. I decided to finish my meal with their flagship Negroni. Mariah was an excellent bartender exuding kindness that is not normally found in Seattle servers. I appreciate this being originally from the south. I can't believe I waited four months to return to Grappa. I've had two wonderful experiences in a row. I think this place needs to be implemented into the regular rotation. Thanks for helping turn my day around!

Our night got off to a rough start when random people snuck past the host stand and took our reserved seats. After waiting awhile, we agreed to sit on the patio. Our waiter went above and beyond to get us a table inside, after hearing it was our anniversary dinner, and the stolen seat situation. He proceeded to comp our first round of drinks and gave us a free dessert as well. The gnocchi was fantastic, the Jaguar's tail and other drinks were all great, the paella was fabulous as well. Our night was quickly redeemed by amazing customer service, food, drinks and music/atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this place, just be aware that you 100% should get a reservation and be prepared to wait a while even having a reservation. Multiple groups were waiting outside for seats to be ready. However, the customer service blew us away. And the food was amazing.

Grappa is an intimate little date-night spot with a fun menu and a beautiful bar (we loved the big, melting candles!). The hummus appetizer was delicious and the salmon gnocchi was rich, creamy, and flavorful. The carbonara was a bit dry for my taste, but I appreciate that you can get the egg on top or stirred in. Service was exemplary.

First, let me say that I did not eat at the restaurant...this is purely a review of the two dishes I ate. I live 2 blocks anway and really wanted to like the food. I'm a huge fan of Tilikum Place and was hoping for a similar experience closer to home. I ordered the Meatballs and the Spicy Sausage Rigatoni, based on ratings. Unfortunately, the meatballs were small, dense, and very reminiscent of frozen. The pasta was good but not great, heavy on onions and sausage that was chunkier and chewier than I'd have preferred. Tender meatballs aren't difficult and the rigatoni was ranked as the most liked dish so maybe I got a bad night. I will give them another try in house before shelving them, but they are starting from behind.

We were here for a multi-course thanksgiving dinner, so tough to review against the normal menu. Loved the place, vibe and service. The food was not consistent and had a few peculiarities though, Squash soup and lobster bisque were both great as were our two salads. Our second course of wagyu beef bites were not good. Described as bites with a sauce what was delivered was a bowl of delicious sauce (almost stew like) and some small chunks of really terrible, chewy beef. Roast prime rib with au jus was actually just a grilled steak, not cooked properly and no au jus. Osso Bucco with Demi glacé tasted good, but the sauce was not Demi glaze. Lobster risotto was very good as was the cured salmon.

Food is delicious. Portions are generous. Pasta is fresh and tasty. Their focaccia was not what I usually think of when I think of focaccia. It was beautifully toasted but dense. Service is fast and friendly. Our server was great at answering our questions about the menu. Very chill and relaxing environment. Definitely a good spot for small groups. Would definitely say it would be a good date spot. Not too loud. But tables are not set up for more than groups of 4.

We sat at the bar since we didn't buy any not have a reservation. The bartender there was great. Of course the menu was pricey, but I expect that at a nice restaurant like this. We both got the wagyu filet, and it was amazing. No regrets!

TLDR: Tasty well made food but wish a side was included (and bread if you'd normally give that eating in). My latest order was Alfredo with Chicken and it was very good! So far we have tried the spicy rigatoni (really good), Pappadelle Bolognese (didn't like so much), Chicken Marsala (very good and the only time I've ever liked this dish), Caesar salad, and a few other items. I have only ordered via delivery which has been fine except for an issue one time due to their ordering system, but they helped sort everything out and they went above and beyond to try to make sure I was happy after the issues I had, which I appreciated very much! Reason I didn't give 5 stars: My latest order was close to $60 and that was just for just Alfredo pasta with chicken added for $12 more (it was pretty small in size but the chicken helped make it more filling). I do wish their dinner dishes included a side (salad or veggie). I would still order but it will be on a more rare occasion due to cost. Note: Please bring the Chicken Marsala back, I loved it and never liked this dish until I tried yours.

Came here for brunch. Glad they have lunch items. Had the crab and tiny shrimp salad. Pretty good size for a half salad although I wished there are more crabs. Beautiful venue and good service. The fake flower is kind of turnoff

We enjoy coming to this spot, but it's just so darn expensive. The food is always good. We like to order the risotto. The restaurant itself is a cute, quaint spot on Queen Anne. Street parking can get kinda tough on weekends, but you're usually able to find something relatively quick. The price is our main hold up for this restaurant. While the food is good, there are comparable restaurants that are cheaper. After tax and tip, it doesn't feel worth it at times.

Fantastic food, the seafood risotto was so delicious! The staff were really helpful when it came down to thoroughly explaining the menu options and flavors. The outdoor seating was nice considering it was heated in the cooler season!

Grappa is amazing for the ambiance, kind costumer service, and amazing testing food. It has become one of my favorite dinner spots, specially for special occasions and would definitely recommend. A restaurant in the more expensive side.

The food was good but it didn't blow me away. It was quite pricey for what it was and I don't think I'd return. I ordered the carbonara but the zucchini in it did overwhelm the pasta. My friend ordered the vodka pasta which was definitely the best thing we tried. Service was good, my friend and I are fast eaters so we were ready to leave pretty soon. Ambiance was great; gorgeous restaurant.

Food was decent but didn't live up to the high prices. Service was lovely and it was great that they had heated patio seating outside. We tried the following: - Spaniard Octopus: Pretty good, though I've had more tender octopus before. Was also a bit confused with the "focaccia" that came with it: I've never had focaccia with a crumb that looked like regular bread before, rather than the usual bubbly and airy focaccia. It reminded me more of a sourdough toast. - Brussels Bacon and Brie: Good flavor but lacked texture, the Brussels were very mushy and had no crisp on the outside. - Housemade Gnocchi: my husband thought it was decent, but not super wowed by it - Paella: I was impressed by how much seafood was in the paella. There were 3 giant shrimp, lots of clams/mussels and a ton of sausages and assorted seafood buried under the rice. That said, while there was a bit of heat to it, it otherwise tasted a tad bland. We also tried a few cocktails and they were all pretty good, especially the Milano Mule.

Grappa is such a gem! The food is full of flavor (highly recommend the lamb and seafood), and the cocktails are amazing too. Cozy atmosphere, great service. Can't wait to come back!

This place was fine. After going there, it didn't really surprise me why they had so many reservations open on a weekend. We went on a Friday for happy hour and were one of two tables, with about 10 staff members. And the service was STILL super slow and bad. Our waiter consistently forgot to bring us things- he forgot to bring out more cava when we wanted more drinks (had to remind him more than once) and he completely forgot my friends gazpacho, then brought it after we reminded him. And since he brought it out after our entrees (which was odd), he didn't give her the happy hour price even though she ordered it 45 min before happy hour ended. The atmosphere is fine. It's trying to be cute but there's just something missing. The outdoor tables feel reminiscent of peak Covid- plastic awnings and makeshift outdoor furniture. Our spot inside was fine, but where was an awkward chair at the edge of our booth that looked impossible to get in and out of. The food was super boring, but priced like fine dining. My Mediterranean salad came on nasty wilted romaine and was no better than something I've ordered at Olive Garden for $8. And 4 overcooked shrimp were $9. My zucchini linguine was just wet vegetables with no sauce and no flavor. I can't really think of anything I liked about this place to be honest.

This place is the BEST Italian I've ever had! Service excellent. Food excellent and it's a vibe!

I don't drink tap water. This is one of the few places in Seattle that has Aqua Panna in still and sparkling. All the handmade pastas are amazing, one standout is the seafood risotto. The bartenders are also super knowledgeable and capable to make any fancy cocktail you like. Outside is also dog friendly. I love their interior decor with candles surrounded by a mountain of melted wax. Great place for date night.

I came here for happy hour with a friend and it was a good time. The hummus was the star of the meal. I've heard about it for a while and finally understand the hype. It was flavorful and perfect. I loved how they served it with pita bread AND veggies. The spicy sausage rigatoni was delicious and not super spicy. The flourless chocolate cake was smooth and rich with a mousse-like texture. The only downside to our visit was our waiter tended to disappeared for long moments at a time and we had to flag down another waiter at some point for our main course and dessert orders. The restaurant was half empty and not very busy so that was confusing, but all other staff that helped us that day were extremely attentive.

Lovely restaurant with excellent food and service. Celebrated my husband's birthday here and Scott, our server, was wonderful. Mitch was also a great host. The pesto rigatoni was my favorite of the mains. We will happily be back.

Really liked my Mediterranean breakfast skillet, basically shakshouka with delicious chorizo bits. Friend got the eggs Benedict and it was extremely spicy, especially salmon bits. Nice ambiance, but service was very slow. A little on the pricey side, but still a cute spot.

This place is the middle of the road for me. To be honest, the service was kind of disappointing. It was pretty slow, drinks were slow, but seemed to be pretty well staffed. We ordered some items on happy hour that weren't delivered to our table. They brought them later (but then didn't charge the happy hour price). Too much work to have the bill adjusted for a few dollars off but annoying nonetheless. The gazpacho was really good! I also go the crab salad, which was pretty plain and nothing to write home about. The ambiance and decor is cute.

Always love Grappa! I have been here a handful of times and it's always an amazing experience. The service is top notch friendly and there to truly make you have a wonderful dining experience. The food is stellar I have never ordered a bad dish the flavors and presentation are 12/10. It's a great spot for a date night or night out with the girls the ambience it's a vibe candle light small and cozy. Will be back soon!

Food is terrible. Service fine Ambiance fine They seem to have cooks not chefs in the back. You could do better using a cookbook and omitting ingredients and adding salt.

Recently moved to the area and we're in search of our new go to spots . Grappa is now at the top of the list. The food is terrific, the drinks are well thought out and offer a wide range of choices. The ambiance is welcoming but elevated. All of these things make grappa awesome but the real star of the show is the service. Our waitress Cassie was charming, engaging, knowledgable and guided us through an incredible dining experience. This place feels like somewhere I could stop in for a drink with friends or celebrate life events with family. Will be back soon.

Grappa is a cute brunch/lunch/dinner place in the heart of Queen Anne. It's definitely a bit pricey for what you get, but a great choice for when you have guests or are looking for some more upscale ambience. I enjoyed the grilled cheese and tomato soup - they make it on focaccia bread, which made for a rich, comforting combination. Our waitress let us know this was her first time serving brunch, and she did phenomenally! She was attentive and quick to grant us our additional requests like sauce on the side.

We had a fantastic meal at Grappa. The hummus was phenomenal and the Summer Salmon Gnocchi was fantastic. My husband got the spaghetti alle bongole and the homemade pasta was fabulous, clams and sauce were delicious. Our service was fantastic. Our server was attentive, helpful and kind. They were very knowledgeable on the menu and drink options. We loved the decor and setting was beautiful and quiet and felt intimate. An overall fantastic experience. We will definitely be back!

Food tastes delicious. We had the Brussel sprouts with bacon and brie, the octopus spaniard, spaghetti carbonara & the lasagna. Everything was tasty, service and ambience are great. Small tables so it is not loud.
