"Walking into Grappa feels like entering a romantic Italian farmhouse. Every table on the three-level dining space feels private, and the outdoor patio is peaceful, surrounded by flowers and fountains. The menu features traditional Italian dishes, including eggplant parmesan, gnocchi primavera with wild mushrooms, whole-roasted game hen, and the restaurant’s signature osso bucco. Don’t miss the grapes and gorgonzola, a salad that has been on the menu since the restaurant opened in 1992—that sounds pretty retro, but it’s there because it’s still good. Grappa is open only for dinner, and you should make reservations a few weeks in advance during peak winter season." - Jené Shaw
