Do NOT Use Grasshopper – They ignore emails, botch cancellations, have terrible non accountability practices, hold your numbers hostage, and bill you for a service they can't even provide.
I've been a small business owner for years and have dealt with plenty of service providers, but Grasshopper takes the cake for the absolute worst customer service and accountability practices I've ever encountered. Hands down, zero stars if possible.
First off, they list contact emails on their website, but good luck getting any response. I've sent multiple detailed emails about billing issues and cancellation requests – crickets. Complete radio silence. No acknowledgment, no follow-up, nothing.
If you need help, you're forced to call them. But prepare to waste hours on hold – we're talking endless waiting just to speak to someone, and that's if you even have the time to wait during business hours.
When you finally get through, don't expect real help. They respond using scripted template responses that address nothing specific to your problem. It's like talking to a robot that doesn't care.
The real nightmare? Cancellations. They make it deliberately impossible online (no cancel button anywhere), and even after emailing them as requested and "confirming" cancellation, they don't follow through. I was charged for another full year after requesting to end service. Worse, they continue billing you for features and services they can't even properly provide because they don't even have the numbers they are charging you for.
And the kicker: they essentially hold your phone numbers hostage when you try to leave. Porting out is a hassle, with delays and excuses, all while they keep charging you. It's predatory – trapping you in a cycle of frustration and unauthorized charges.
Grasshopper is not a professional phone service; it's a scam disguised as one. I can't believe this is a GoTo company service division. Save yourself the headache, lost time, and money – go with literally any competitor. I switched, till fighting for my refund, and wish I'd done it sooner. Steer clear!
