Boston’s Best Vegetarian and Vegan Restaurants | Eater Boston

"After closing for a bit, this beloved vegan and vegetarian restaurant is open in its new location within the 88 Market Food Court. The menu is thankfully unchanged, with all the fan-favorites, including bowls of tofu in spicy coconut curry, a wealth of noodle dishes, and warming soups. The meals feature seitan, tofu, and tons of vegetables, and the Grasshopper Supreme — chili basil sauce slathered on steamed eggplant — is a must-try." - Nathan Tavares

The Boston Vegetarian & Vegan Delivery Guide - Boston - The Infatuation

"There’s something called an “Eggplant and Tofu Surprise” at Grasshopper, an all-vegan spot in Allston. We usually think surprises are as ridiculous as Tesla’s current stock prices, but it turns out this dish - made with a spicy black bean sauce - is pretty good. Perhaps the only disappointment is that there are no chapulines on the menu - yes, we know, they’re not vegan. Place your order here." - joel ang

Do NOT Use Grasshopper – They ignore emails, botch cancellations, have terrible non accountability practices, hold your numbers hostage, and bill you for a service they can't even provide. I've been a small business owner for years and have dealt with plenty of service providers, but Grasshopper takes the cake for the absolute worst customer service and accountability practices I've ever encountered. Hands down, zero stars if possible. First off, they list contact emails on their website, but good luck getting any response. I've sent multiple detailed emails about billing issues and cancellation requests – crickets. Complete radio silence. No acknowledgment, no follow-up, nothing. If you need help, you're forced to call them. But prepare to waste hours on hold – we're talking endless waiting just to speak to someone, and that's if you even have the time to wait during business hours. When you finally get through, don't expect real help. They respond using scripted template responses that address nothing specific to your problem. It's like talking to a robot that doesn't care. The real nightmare? Cancellations. They make it deliberately impossible online (no cancel button anywhere), and even after emailing them as requested and "confirming" cancellation, they don't follow through. I was charged for another full year after requesting to end service. Worse, they continue billing you for features and services they can't even properly provide because they don't even have the numbers they are charging you for. And the kicker: they essentially hold your phone numbers hostage when you try to leave. Porting out is a hassle, with delays and excuses, all while they keep charging you. It's predatory – trapping you in a cycle of frustration and unauthorized charges. Grasshopper is not a professional phone service; it's a scam disguised as one. I can't believe this is a GoTo company service division. Save yourself the headache, lost time, and money – go with literally any competitor. I switched, till fighting for my refund, and wish I'd done it sooner. Steer clear!

This company is completely untrustworthy. I have emailed multiple times requesting to cancel my account, and not only did they ignore my requests—they continued to charge my card without permission. This is theft, plain and simple. There has been zero accountability, no refund, and no customer support that actually resolves anything. Save yourself the headache and stay far away from this company.

The absolute worst service that exists. They won't charge my card I've had on file and are holding my ported number hostage. A number I've had for 20+ years and they have my account suspended because THEIR system doesn't process my card. I'm in the process of suing them for federal violations and unrepairable harm, everyday that goes by I have a new reason to add to the suit... if they don't correct their actions ASAP.

Because of the new government regulations regarding SMS, I have had to submit a new SMS campaign with grasshopper. This has been the most annoying and dysfunctional process I have ever done. I submitted my first one November 6th, 2024, and finally was told it was declined in February 2025. I went through with an agent to "add what I needed to my form" and resubmitted by the deadline and was assured my texting would not be turned off. The next day, my company's texting service was turned off. A week later, my SMS campaign was declined AGAIN. Spoke to another agent who said completely different things that the first one and was transferred to another agent who submitted the campaign for me. Now today, I received an email saying my campaign is going to be declined unless I make more changes. Now the agent wants my CC # last 4 digits to verify the account versus the primary pin that all of the other agents used. This is ridiculous. I am tired of this nonsense. I have wasted hours and hours on the phone trying to "fix" my campaign and nothing is being accomplished. Every agent is contradicting what the last one I spoke to said. I need my texting service to work. I need someone to actually tell me the right thing to get the SMS campaign to be approved. I will be looking at other services because this is stupid.

Takes a payment then deactivates your account. No support what so ever, always have to wait for calls that never come. Do not rely on this for your business. 0 stars if it were possible. Stealing a customer's money isn't a good look, and it won't be let slide either.

Absolute WORST customer service I have ever experienced!!! I signed up for this service for my small business. They billed me annually. I decided to cancel it in July, because all I recieve is spam calls on this number (I don't know if they got hacked or if they sold my info to another company), I was told that all sales are final and I would be stuck with having this active number until 1/4/25!! They won't even disconnect it for me. That is another 5.5 months of spam calls!! ARGH! So frustrating!! 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!! Stay FAR AWAY from this company.

We recently signed up for two trial accounts to evaluate your service—one for myself and another for a colleague. Regrettably, both accounts were disabled within two days without clear reason, and we had used them for less than 10 minutes. Upon trying to resolve the issue, we were directed to call a support number provided by GoTo, but unfortunately, this did not help us. It seems the simultaneous creation of two accounts may have triggered this situation. We're perplexed as to why this action would block our access and are eager for your assistance to understand and rectify this issue so we can effectively use your service.

Grasshopper provides a great service for my company. Highly recommend for companies of all sizes. Terrific support and features. My long time business number was ported over from AT&T with just a minor delay. Grasshopper was, and still is, the perfect phone solution for my 2 person business when I searched for a way to end having a landline in 2014. Flexible settings for work and non-work hours, extensions, etc.
