40 New Restaurants and Bars That Have Opened in San Diego - Eater San Diego

"Another location of Gravity Heights has opened in Mission Valley. Designed with Tulum vibes, the breezy space pours beers produced at the brewpub’s flagship in Sorrento Valley and serves a similar menu that includes favorites like dirty fries and wings and some new additions from culinary director Ryan Johnston and executive chef Jordan Beall (Neighborhood) like a homemade pretzel and enchiladas filled with birria braised in their own Baja Sol Mexican Lager." - Candice Woo

My girlfriend and I came to Gravity Heights for brunch and this is great. I had the Smoked Brisket Hash—loaded, savory, and topped with perfectly cooked eggs. She went with the Fried Chicken Sandwich, stacked high and dripping with flavor under those runny eggs. Zero regrets. I kicked things off with the Chamoy Guapo, a spicy-sweet masterpiece that’s basically the love child of a margarita and a chili mango lollipop. Nancy’s Espresso Martini was silky smooth and exactly what a classy caffeine cocktail should be. We sat at the bar and talked to Ryan the bartender—cool guy who gave us the insider scoop on parking. ✅ Pro tip: There is parking—don’t let the initial chaos fool you. Look for spots on the street or in the lot next to Shake Shack. Also—major bonus: this place is dog-friendly on the patio and outdoor bar area. Great vibes, great music, and friendly staff who’ll probably treat your dog better than your cousin’s wedding caterer. We’ll definitely be back, probably with Lina, Nancy’s dog.

I’ve been here before for dinner and happy hour in Sorrento, but this was my first time at the mission valley location. I came this morning for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious. The service was great, plenty of parking, and the restaurant itself is very cute and has an open concept. Plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor. I’d definitely recommend giving this place a try. Food review: 2 egg breakfast: (5/5) I love a simple breakfast and this definitely hit the spot. The potatoes were flavorful and crispy, the toast was perfection with the butter and jam, and lastly, the bacon was cooked to perfection. You can’t eat a simple breakfast. Gravity burger w/ Caesar salad: (5/5) It was cooked to perfection, a great portion, and one of the best salads! Definitely worth a try.

They have a really good happy hour which is where I started. Then I graduated to just having drinks afterwards and watching the game. It’s a nice open environment with friendly staff and quick service. Definitely will come back here. I tasted the cauliflower which was good as well as the pizza both were unhappy hour.

We had an amazing experience at Gravity Heights’ Mission Valley location! Having visited their Sorrento Valley spot multiple times and loved it every time, we were thrilled to find the same high standard here. Our meal started with Chicken Wings and Tuna Tostada as appetizers, followed by Chilaquiles and Pork Chile Verde for entrees, and the Pumpkin Spice Latte Donut Hole for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious, with flavors that were perfectly executed. The Tuna Tostada was a standout for my husband and me, while my mom couldn’t get enough of the Pork Chile Verde. We also enjoyed two Bloody Beer Marys, which were a great addition to our meal. The service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and efficient—which added to the overall experience. The restaurant’s bright, clean, and modern ambiance makes it perfect for any occasion. We’ll definitely be back with family and friends!

Quaint hidden spot! My friend and I came to have lunch here and I was amazed. At first upon entering it seems a bit strange as to where you may park because it looks like an apartment complex. However, I asked one of the employees from the restaurant and she stated anywhere near the front area was fine even if the spaces had numbers on them. She stated they used to be apartments but they no longer are (at least the building in front of the place) This place does seem to get busy quickly as well. I ordered the Demi More Burger with Cesar salad. They give you the option to do either or, or half salad and half fries. My friend ordered the fish tacos with fries. The burger meat I asked for it to be cooked medium rare. Upon taking the first bite, it was truly delicious, super tender and flavorful. I absolutely loved it! Highly recommend.

Revisited with my best friend since she was in town, this is my second time coming and no regrets. Plenty of parking as we arrived, It was a gloomy cold day and we were seated in the patio underneath a heater, great customer service drinks and food came out within minutes. This time around I ordered the white pizza and mule and everything was delicious and on point, cant wait to revisit again.

I don't usually go to places with bars being a central focus. This place had an excellent atmosphere The service was the best I have had. They checked in frequently, were will to talk or just leave you be, and the food was excellent and quick. Try the cinnamon roll if there are any left

Cute decor. Delicious food. Awesome service. It’s next to Spill the Beans and they allow (almost encourage) you to buy drinks from there and bring it in the restaurant.

Yelp
This place has extremely good service! Our server was very nice and make you feel welcome. They recommended us some really good food and drinks. I had the Demi more burger, which tasted like French onion soup. The other people in my party enjoyed the 2 eggs combo and the brisket hash. I didn't get to try the 2 eggs, but the brisket was tender, and the horseradish cream was flavorful but not overpowering. There's a spacious outside seating area with heaters just in case it gets too cold for you. Inside there's lots of seating with a bar.

Yelp
Went here with family for Sunday brunch to celebrate 4 birthdays and it was awesome! Because we were a large party we sat outside. It's a large outdoor area with many bench tables with concrete & artificial grass. It's also dog friendly. Our server was really good & efficient. Super nice girl with dark hair. All our orders came out correct and in a timely manner. The food was absolutely delicious! Because we are family, we all took a sample of the various dishes we ordered and it was impressive. We also had various cocktails and those too were a hit! After brunch, some of us stayed for happy hour and sat by a fire pit. We met Jacob, a manager there and he was so kind & personable. We found out he has the same birthday as my sister-in-law! Overall, it was such a great experience. We ended up being there for almost 6 hours because of the chill vibe, friendly employees, good food & drinks. The only downside would be the very limited parking. Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to park if you have a reservation.

Yelp
Amazing Just had their chicken tika masala pot pie. Mind melted. They're dialed in with everything. Gotta come back soon w my 19yo son and his gf. He'll love it. Also, they're cookie in cast iron a la mode knocked it out too

Yelp
Always a wonderful experience here! We had some time to meet up with friends to enjoy a few small bites and a couple of drinks. Our reservation was a great way to secure a seat here. They book on Open Table and when you arrive they are ready for your party. It is truly welcoming and they all are super customer service oriented. Loved the hostess who showed me to our table. Happy Hour food was great and portions are very good size. Margarita was decent. Fresh water is always refreshing and tastes pretty good. Love the atmosphere and the environment.

Yelp
We were greeted and sat immediately with a smile. The outside area was just lovely but better than that were our servers. Wow. We had two fantastic ladies and they knew the menu, knew how to have some fun, and knew how to make our experience truly enjoyable. We both had the Demi Moore burgers with fries and wow. Beware this is a knife and fork burger as it's a mess but boy is it yummy. We also had the sling hit holes (fresh made) for desert and they are a delight. Truly a favorite Wally that never lets you down.

Yelp
came back for happy hour (3-6pm) and they had about 5 food items like hummus, 10" pizzazz tacos, and a wedge salad. They also had drink specials. I couldn't help myself from ordering the same thing as last time - dirty Fries and the golden Mustard Chicken wings. They were so good last time I couldn't deviate! Shared them with the group and they all agree they were so good. Yet again this place was amazing and the staff were so kind and attentive, from the host, to the server, and the food runners - they all took care of us so well! A buddy got the Happy Hour pepperoni pizza which was a perfect size and the little pepperoni curled up to make little cups of delicious-ness. My other buddy got the pierogi with kielbasa which was so good - little mashed potatoes pillows butter-fried and resting on a cloud of creamy, herby, sauce and tucked into a blanket of Sautéed onions.

Yelp
Went here on a last minute decision and it was totally worth it. Myself and two of my cousins swung by around 6:30p-7p on a Friday. It was busy but not busy enough to have a line or waitlist. Also, this is over in that lot with Shake Shack by those apartments so parking is sparse. You might have to park on the street. We got in and were we so glad they had heat lamps because this is an indoor/outdoor restaurant and it was a chilly evening. They do have a menu for restaurant week but I'm told it's better to do lunch than dinner during this time. Anyway, they had a wide selection of beer and wine. They had some spirits and non-alcoholic options too. We ordered the Chicken Tiki Marsala Pot Pie, the Dirty Fries, the Tuna Tostada and the wings. Wings were the best naked in my option. The sauce options were ranch, honey mustard, the house buffalo sauce and sweet chili. I like the honey mustard the best but it was too much for me to slather in on my wing. You can ask for the sauce on the side and to see if you can try all of them. Tuna Tostada, *chef's kiss*. I almost didn't order this and it would have been a mistake. It was so good. I think there is chili oil on it so it does have a little bit of a kick. I would go back just for that. Even if you don't like seared tuna, you should give this a try. The Chicken Tiki Marsala was really good! Our two thoughts on that was it was pretty rich so maybe share this dish and another dish with another person. The other thought was there was no crust on the sides of the pot pie. So it was more like a tiki marsala covered with a pot pie top. Having the crust on the sides would make this better. The dirty fries were good too but they used to make this dish with crab. Apparently that version is way better than the current one. My cousin said she had it at the other location and hopes they add it as an option here. There were lots of seating and different seating types. So if you want to just have drinks, they had an area that looked like it was dedicated to that. They have booth seating and bench seating. It's dog friendly so keep that in mind. The vibe seemed pretty chill and not like what I expected. The outside makes it look like it's medium fancy but it was actually more casual. Our waitress was super nice!

Yelp
We went here for brunch last. The brunch left us all feeling a little hungry still. I had the chili Verde, which was good. We also had an omelette. Overall, we prefer dinner to their brunch menu. Dinner is great really good tasting food. And a nice selection. Service is always friendly and the ambience is very nice. It does feel a bit like a "hip place" and I think you pay a bit extra for that. It is a very comfortable place to sit down and have a beer.

Yelp
Gravity Heights might be more known for the extensive list of craft beers but don't sleep on their brunch menu! Our friend celebrated his birthday here and it was such a great spot for our large group. He was able to easily make a reservation pretty close to the day even though we had a lot of people joining. If you're visiting during the weekend, there's parking available in the next lot over. So if you're at Gravity Heights, turn to face Spill the Beans and it's across the street. It's free when the businesses are closed so basically the entire day on weekends and after 3PM on weekdays. There's both indoor and outdoor seating but because of our large group, they accommodated us with 2 adjacent outdoor tables, with some areas under shade. Make Your Own Mimosas: Although not bottomless, this is a good option if you want some bubblies with your meal. I like that they give several juice options and you can add as much as you want or create your own mix. There's orange, guava, kiwi/honey/mint, and cinnamon/cranberry, with guava and the kiwi/honey/mint being the most popular at our table. We ended up getting like 2-3 bottles for our group since we had like 8-9 people but 1 bottle is enough for 4. Brisket Hash: Almost everyone at our table ordered the brisket hash and really enjoyed it. It has some horseradish cream so if that's not a flavor you enjoy, you might not like it. The eggs can be ordered any style but something with a runny yolk pairs best. I mixed in the egg and yolk and it created this thicker, more decadent hash, much better than without it! The brisket is really soft and tender and I was even surprised to find some fatty pieces. House Made Cinnamon Roll: Delicious dessert to wrap up your meal. Although it's small enough for 1-2 people, we split it 4-ways. It was soft and fluffy and I actually really liked how the brown sugar didn't completely dissolve. It was like a crunchy sugar crust. I'm not sure I tasted the mascarpone but it was really good regardless. Considering how much we enjoyed their brunch menu, I'd love to dine-in during dinner and see what else they offer!

Yelp
Great service, food, and service! 10/10 would recommend. This place is fairly new and I glad I got to try with my friend. Interior is super cute and picture worthy. I ordered the Tuna toastada (seared albacore, avocado, sesame seeds, green onion, chili crunch, peanut, cilantro, lime, aji verde sauce), which was not the traditional cubed albacore but sliced. It had a hefty amount of smashed guac. It had a chili crispy oil on top which definitely elevated the whole dish. It was so freaking yummy! There was the right amount of acidity and freshness of the fish. I also got white pizza (whipped burrata, goat cheese, shredded mozzarella, fontina, truffle honey, thyme, prosciutto) - I asked for no goat cheese. The flavor worked so well together. It resembles the pizza at Pizza Antica in Santana Row, SJ. Definitely recommend! My friend ordered the Demi Moore burger with Caesar salad. Wow that burger was so juicy and caramelized onions just elevates it! Overall, we both enjoyed our meals very much and I would come back!

Yelp
Mission Valley is a chain restaurant cesspool, so it's such a breath of fresh air to have Gravity Heights in the neighborhood! Catania is my #1 favorite restaurant in San Diego and Gravity Heights is a part of their family of restaurants. They are serving up elevated plates in a casual and comfortable brewery environment. We started with the dirty fries and mezze plate and both were outstanding. The dirty fries were a large portion of cheesy, pulled pork goodness. I had to take half of it to go. But what was delicious was frying my leftovers on the stove with an egg for breakfast the next day! The mezze platter was also outstanding with freshly baked flatbread and some really flavorful sides. I loved the lentils the best! For our entrees, we got the burger and pork bolognese. Both were great and you can upgrade your burger side for a caesar salad for just $3. The pasta was simple but comforting. It was so good! We ended with the Bundino and it was so creamy and delicious! It looks small, but because of how rich it is, it's the perfect size. Everything about our experience was lovely. Nadia, our server, was so friendly and kind and we had a great time. I hope this becomes one of our usual spots in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Great spot for a low key brunch with delicious food and little waiting time. Waited ~15 mins on a Saturday for brunch which beats most places waits on the weekend. it was a beautiful day to sit outside on their huge patio. Brunch is served until 3pm on the weekends. We got the cinnamon roll, pork chili verde and fried chicken, biscuits and gravy as well as the Mai tai-p-a. The cinnamon roll was soft and fluffy with delicious melty frosting straight from the oven. The fried chicken, biscuits and gravy and pork chili verde were divine. Would definitely recommend

Yelp
I came here for a date and celebration. The decor here is so nice and has such an open feeling. The service was constantly available, and everyone was so nice. We got the buffalo wings and ahi tuna for apps. The wing sauce is housemade; it wasn't my favorite but I enjoyed the crispy outside. The ahi tuna tostada was bomb!! We also got the crispy chicken sandwhich which was perfect, the meat was juicy. The margaritas pizza was okay, nothing to special.

Yelp
First off, Madison provided the best service on our visit. We loved her energy, gave great recommendations, was super attentive without hovering, and was flexible when we informed her some friends would be joining us later that evening. Honestly, all the wait staff was friendly and food and drinks were appropriately timed. Love the ambiance of this place. Super fun, laid back lounge and picnic tables outside, a covered outdoor area, and cozy booth seating inside. This place is pretty big, although parking can be challenging later in the evening as people got off work. Food and drink highlights include: Flower Sour: hibiscus infused rum with mango, pineapple, honey, tagarashi rim. Fruity, tropical, well-balanced, bit of spice and crunch from the togarashi rim Dirty fries: huge portion, delicious bbq pulled pork, crispy fries, their beer cheese and peppers. Def perfect to share Tuna tostada: also really good, Guac, cilantro, big pieces of ahi The Burger: comes with either a side of fries or a salad (huge portion if you do the salad) but since we had dirty fries, thought we'd throw some greens in. Big slabs of bacon, fried egg on top, cooked to your preference. Def can't go wrong Chicken Tikka Masala Pot Pie: never had this before but would def order again. Crispy, flakey puff pastry atop a blend of chicken and potatoes in a hearty, hot (temperature) tikka masala stew with a yogurt sauce on the side. Finished the meal with a delicious pot de crème of caramel and biscotti crumbles. On the sweeter side but still super delicious. A great addition to the MV food scene and glad it's not at either of the malls. Def a great spot to grab a drink and some munchies after work or on the weekend and looks like a nice outdoor event space too.

Yelp
This was my first time here at the Mission Valley location of Gravity Heights. I have been to the Sorrento Valley location and loved that one, but this new one is even prettier!! The large outdoor space is perfect for enJOYing the San Diego weather year-round. The bar is a really good size, and the dining room is very well decorated complete with wall paintings and murals. Bestie and I ordered some drinks from their Happy Hour menu, which is available DAILY from 3 to 6 pm. Gotta love that because idk about you, but it's such a bummer when you're looking for a HH place on the weekends! I got the Flower Sour, and bestie got the Red Wine Sangria. We shared the Acqua Panna. These drinks were delicious, and we loved the presentation as well. This is a cool place to go to for drinks and appetizers, or a full on meal. The bar is well stocked and has ample seating. Prices are not bad and the service is superb. Paola was very friendly and smiled the entire time as she engaged in conversation with us. The hostess and other employees were also very helpful. I recommend coming in here after a long day, to unwind and relax. Parking can be cramped in the tight lot outside, but I got lucky with a spot right in front of the entrance. You can always opt to park on the side streets, if need be. Thank you, and see you again soon, Paola & company! ;)

Yelp
I found Gravity Heights so late in the game, it's soooo amazing! I feel like it's the best option in Mission Valley for food and drinks that doesn't feel like you're in a mall. The space is huge with really pretty decorations and a nice size porch, which I love. The pot pie was so yummy as well as their dirty fries. The service was so lovely and attentive. We had an amazing date here, can't wait till I can make their weekend brunch!

Yelp
IDEAL WEEKEND BRUNCH SPOT - great food, mimosas & beer, open inside & outdoor design, and TVs for Saturday college football or Sunday NFL. What more could you ask for? I'm in love with the design of the place. The bathrooms are super clean with individual unisex bathrooms. There's an open bar, as well large outdoor table seating for big group reservations and small high table or regular booths for smaller groups. Favorites: - Cinnamon Roll: I still think this is a dessert and not an appetizer because of how sweet it is, but my boyfriend was obsessed. The skillet kept the outside crisp and inside gooey. - Naked Wings: 8 HUGE WINGS (7:1 wing-to-drum ratio, not sure if that was based on luck or not but I loved it). We got all 4 sauces on the side (golden mustard, sweet chili, buffalo, and ranch) on the side so it was like a perfect 4pc tasting for 2. The wings were so crisp & juicy. My favorite sauce was the golden mustard with the ranch - it's like a hot honey mustard. The sweet chili is heavy on the fish sauce, which I didn't mind as a Vietnamese person who uses fish sauce regularly, but I can see it being an acquired taste for others. The buffalo sauce was more spicy than tangy, which I found unique as well. I'd definitely recommend ordering the wings "naked" so you can test try all the sauces yourself and keep the wings crisp! Overall, 5/5 for the food, service, and environment! Would definitely consider this place for a big group reservation!

Yelp
This place is hella cute! Outdoor seating and even the indoor area still feels outdoorsy. The drinks were good and even the names of the drinks and food items for frickin cute and creative lol. Customer service was good. Vibes were good. And IT'S DOG FRIENDLY! So feel free to bring your fur babies :) I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty the food was. I honestly feel like the pot pie was my favorite item, but everything was great! The wings we ordered baked with the golden mustard on the side. They came and I thought, "mmm....those don't look right. We'll see about these." Lol. I was proved wrong! They were delicious, even plain. Point is, come visit!! Good food and drinks here to try

Yelp
Had lunch at Gravity Heights with a friend. This was my 2nd time coming here. The first time I wasn't all that impressed with what I ordered. This time I ordered the gravity burger which was cooked exactly how I like it I usually do t like cheese on my burger but I forgot to say minus the cheese. I really liked it with. I also had the tuna tostadas and they were so good, I'd come back again for that. I love the restaurant atmosphere the only draw back is the parking there. It's difficult to know where you can park since the apartments are next to the restaurant and the spaces are all marked. The waiter was great. He checked in several times with refills on my tea and checking how the food was. He made the recommendation on the appetizer which I appreciated. If you're looking for a good variety of food options I would highly recommend this place.

Yelp
It was our first time here and wow! I love the Christmas decor that is up right now. The place is open air and so much space! Eddy was giving great service and the food came out super fast. This was so much food for two people to share and everything was very tasteful. Can we note that we shared a burger and they gave each side its own full egg! So thoughtful. The only thing that needed more flavor was the chicken but the service and amazing other food is definitely 5 stars! Thank you for the hospitality and great food!!

Yelp
We recently attended a Yelp event at Gravity Heights, and the experience was absolutely amazing that I needed to post on this yelp page in addition to the private event page! The service was exceptional, with the staff making us feel welcome and taken care of from start to finish. For the event, we got to choose from a set menu and tried the Caesar salad, chicken wings, tikka masala pot pie, pork bolognese, and the budino. Everything was delicious, but the star of the meal was the tikka masala pot pie. I never would've thought to take chicken tikka masala and turn it into a pot pie, but wow--it was incredible! The only thing I'd tweak was the pork bolognese. While the flavor was great, the fusilli pasta soaked up a bit too much of the sauce; I think a different noodle would have made it perfect. We didn't order any beer or alcoholic beverages this time, but I'll definitely be back to try their drink offerings. Looking forward to returning!

Yelp
Called the restaurant to get parking suggestions, hostess Rachel was so nice and accommodating (we were late to our reservation bc of traffic). Nadia our server was on point checking on us multiple times-even though it was super packed. The chicken wings-golden Miso were fantastic! As was the pretzel The burger was delicious and the tika masala pot pie was too good! The butterscotch budino for dessert was amazing

Yelp
Great dinner spot! Enjoyed a great meal and we were really impressed with the interesting food options. They have a large selection of beer and cocktails as well and a large bar area were you can grab a bite. The service was fast and there's plenty of parking. We will definitely come back! @shawarmaguys @gravityheights

Yelp
Went here for the very first time for a Yelp Elite event and I see why many people like it! Food was good, but my absolute favorite was the dessert included in our pre-fixe lunch menu (Butterscotch Budino). I'm only taking off one star because it was pretty pricey for everything we got ($18-$20) and I would expect a larger serving for those prices! Service and ambiance was amazing. Huge shoutout to Jessica for being so kind and attentive to us! I loved the entire vibe of the place and liked how spacious it was indoor and especially outdoor. It's definitely a good group outing type of restaurant! I would totally come back to try other things from the menu, like their dinner and drink options since I didn't get to try. Overall, beautiful restaurant and thanks again to the elite squad for our complimentary meal here!

Yelp
Wow! I had an amazing experience here from the food to the staff! This gastropub has a chill hip vibe with their decor and music. There's TVs and heaters outside which are perfect during cold nights. There are also electricoutlets available at the table booths! Parking is limited as it's right next to an apartment complex. Please note that parking is available in the office lot across the street on evenings and weekends! In regards to the food, everything was so delicious! My husband and I ordered Dirty Fries and the Tuna Tostada for appetizers. The dirty fries were loaded with pulled pork and was very flavorful with all the toppings. The Tuna tostada was just as delicious with seared albacore and fresh guacamole! For our entrees we ordered the Tikka Masala Chicken Pot pie which was packed with flavor and went well with the garlic yogurt sauce. The Pork Bolognese was the comfort food we needed and was very filling. For dessert we had the Budino which was a bit sweet from the salted caramel but still tasty with a cup of coffee. I'll definitely be back to try the other dishes and drinks!

Yelp
Came for a friend's birthday brunch and we had a huge group of 17, but they were able to accomodate us with a reservation and put us in 2 adjacent outdoor tables. They do have some shade but it's intermittent so just be aware if you're seated in the outside area, you will likely be in the sun at some point as it moves. They have TVs scattered about which were playing the game while we were there. BRISKET HASH: Get this if you enjoy savory breakfasts! The horseradish cream was interesting but I did enjoy it, and the bread was perfectly toasted. Ask for their hot sauce if you want to add an extra kick! HOUSE MADE CINNAMON ROLL: Served in a cute little cast iron, and great for sharing. We split one order between 4 people which was the perfect amount for us, since we all just wanted a bite. MAKE YOUR OWN MIMOSAS: Such a cute and unique concept! Each order comes with a bottle and 4 different flavors of juice mixers so that you can flavor your mimosa to your liking. For our table of 8, we got 2 orders which was the perfect amount to get a buzz going. Overall, great spot to grab some brunch and drinks while catching up with friends. Very spacious so perfect for large groups! Not much parking in this area but luckily per the business, you can park in the office lot across the street on weekends and after 3pm on weekdays! Otherwise valet is an option too.

Yelp
Came back and tried new items and none disappointed Started with #PotatoPierogi and much different and tastier with the dill sour cream and brown butter onions #WildMushroomWoodFiredPizza and better when you took the garlic confit and spread it over the crust #TikkaMasalaChickenPotPie is a new fave been interested in trying this a few times and glad I finally did very delicious My fave dessert was no longer on the menu but was excited to try something new #Budino butterscotch pudding, salted caramel, whipped cream, biscotti crumble not a new fave but I enjoyed it. Service was fantastic!

Yelp
Came here for lunch today and the food was super good! We got the tuna tostada and dirty fries for appetizers and then I got the fried chicken sandwich with a salad. If had to point out one thing that I didn't love it would be the side salad. In their defense the menu warns you and says it's a simple salad lol but I just wished it had a little more something something. Also a little more dressing cause it was a tad bit dry. But other than that, the food was great, servers and bartenders were kind and I'll definitely be returning soon!

Yelp
I loved just about everything about this location- except for parking. A problem that's becoming more and more common. The restaurant is so pretty! Plenty of seating options - at the bar, inside or outside. TVs all around if you are looking to watch sports. Max is the best waiter I've had in a long time! He was very personable, attentive and very familiar with the menu. I couldn't decide between two entrees and he helped me choose. Not a single complaint about the food. Good flavors and good portion size. Even with the parking crunch, I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Brunch is the best meal. I've hosted a few brunch bookclub hangouts at Gravity Heights and we've always had a great experience. (I use OpenTable to make reservations. - super useful) The food and drinks are always delicious. The staff is always friendly and attentive. If I see chilaquiles, I order it. Let me tell you, Gravity Heights made Some really tasty chilaquiles. Crispy Tortillas with a sauce that has a nice kick to it. They do have a good drink menu too. The hard ciders and beer selection is great, along with their house cocktails. I will definitely be back to join in for dinner!

Yelp
We were greeted at the host stand after a brief wait to be seated. The positive part of Gravity Heights is the friendliness of all the staff. They treat you like a great friend or neighbor. Maddison was our server and I greatly appreciate that she would recommend items on the menu which she especially likes. Her suggestions were perfect for the evening. The white pizza was good and crusty with the flavors one would expect and the salads, cranberry apple salad and shrimp spring roll was perfect. The drinks were delivered by the bar staff with a warm smile. It did become chilling towards the evening and that did shut the outside doors. Great management for the training of the staff.

Yelp
Such a cute place!!! Loved the interior and exterior design. Definitely perfect for large groups. Made a reservation for 6 and showed up an hour earlier and they still sat us right away!!! The only down side was parking was a bit challenging and we ended up paying for the valet but maybe it was the time of day we went and it was a weekend. Vegan burger was meh but the pizza was delishhhhh. My fave was the white and mushroom pizza. Please go!!

Yelp
Always great place to go to grab a bite to eat. The vibe is very welcoming and place is beautifully decorated. Service is always on point. The most important thing to state is the food is always delicious Great menu but maybe add a couple more items on there? Parking is horrible. It's either street parking or find a parking in the small parking area that you share with the rest of the people in the apartments surrounding. Be careful not to park in someone spot!

Yelp
Came here for happy hour with my best friend and I am glad we stopped by! The restaurant was not too busy when we arrived, so we seated right away. Overall, the restaurant was super cute, clean, and had both indoor and outdoor seating. What we got: - Truffle fries (happy hour item): crispy, perfectly salted, can't go wrong with fries. - Personal pepperoni pizza: generous with the pepperoni, cheesy, and delicious. - Chicken wings: our waitress told us that we could get the wings naked with the sauces (golden mustard, house hot, and sweet chili) on the side, so that's what we did and I'm glad we did it this way! Overall, I was pleased with our visit, from the service, to the food, everything was great!

Yelp
Visited Gravity Heights Mission Valley with a good friend. Walking inside, it had a cute vibe-y feel to it. You have options of indoor our outdoor seating. Since we came for dinner, we opted to sit inside. Our server was attentive and on point with the service. We tried the Tuna Tostada and Margherita Pizza , both food options were really good. I would definitely recommend the Tuna Tostada appetizer. For drinks we had Chamoy Guapo and the Vibe Check. Both drinks were good but I preferred the Chamoy Guapo if you like mezcal. Gravity Heights Mission Valley is worth the trip and even better it's close to where I live. Worth a try!

Yelp
This place is awesome! Very nice modern feel, has a cool backyard vibe outside with lots of seating. Bar area is very nice as well. The food was outstanding! The wings do need some work, the flavor was off (sweet chili) maybe needs a little more work. Everything else was so so good! Tuna tostadas were the best thing there! Waiters were fast and food was out promptly, they always make sure you have something to drink, whether it's water or beer

Yelp
The restaurant is decorated so nice - loved the decor. Service was fast and our server was great, but the best part of Gravity Heights was by far the food! We got a Mac n cheese, tikki masala pot pie, pizza, salad, wings and 2 deserts and they were all so SO good! My favorite 3 things were the tikki masala pot pie, pizza and the cookie desert. Definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came for dinner one night before heading to the movies and came by during their happy hour time which was great timing! Their happy hour ran from 3-6pm every single day even on weekends, I believe! The location that we went to is located next to a dental office and Shake Shack in the There is a parking lot with ample stalls but finding a stall could be very difficult during lunch and dinner rush hours as there are certain stalls reserved for certain franchises. We were almost late to our reservation made via OpenTable because of the parking situation. My boyfriend and I started off with some cocktails. I got their Flower Sour drink which had hibiscus infused rum, mango, pineapple, honey, lemon, and togarashi, and wow. This was such a great, dangerous choice! The combination of all the tropical fruit and honey worked soooo well that it was almost more of a mocktail than a cocktail! Dangerous! My boyfriend got their Old Fashioned as he's trying to find the best one that he can frequent more often. He thought this was more whiskey heavy with a lot of bitters. He liked it but probably not on his top list. We ordered two appetizers, two entrees, and a dessert. Honestly, there was a lot of starch in our order that I may have regret ordering so much LOL. - Tuna Tostada - it was a seared tuna avo chip appetizer which was really good! There was a good amount of seared tuna and avocado mash on both chip, sprinkled with chili oil. I did wish there was a little more flavor as that was the only thing lacking in such a generous appetizer for the two of us. - Dirty Fries - wow! A lot happening here, and I don't hate that! There was a lot of fries topped with BBQ pulled pork, melted cheese, and sweet chilis which all complemented so well together! The flavor worked so well together that I couldn't stop eating it. It was a very filling appetizer which made me kind of frightful on being able to enjoy our two entrees that we were still waiting on LOL. - Tikka Masala Chicken Pot Pie - very interesting entree concept which turned out really good! The curry had so much flavor that it was a bit overwhelming with the lack of more bland starch. The yogurt sauce definitely made it more creamier and probably added more flavor to it. The puff pastry helped but not that much. We decided to take this home to eat with rice as we felt would be better fit than just the puff pastry LOL. - Pork Bolognese - mmmm this was soooo good. I wished there was more cheese to this pasta. But the overall flavor and texture were delicious! It had a good balance in everything. Though we did have a ton of starchy foods that started making it very difficult to eat so we also took this home in the end. - Budino - it was a cute little custard dessert with a heavy flavor of butterscotch which gave it a "smoky" flavor which was good but not a preference of mine. The caramel helped enhance the sweetness of the dessert but also complemented to its smoky flavor. My boyfriend really liked this dessert as it was something unique, however, it was not something I preferred. I did respect the flavors that came out of this little dessert! Overall, a great restaurant to check out. There are some unique entrees to pair with some of their signature/happy hour drinks. It was definitely a restaurant where many parties are held as it had a nice interior and patio area.

Yelp
Question to all where is the one place that you can find the best Golden Chicken Wings with the best House Made sauces ? With the many great foods that are here in San Diego there some that are premade the foods. One of the many restaurants that have the basic interiors for many restaurants that are of Carl's Jr and the many Burger King's. The many larger restaurants that you find are don't of the ones that are designed from the older buildings with Gravity Heights the restaurant is located in the apartments of Mission Valley . The location of the restaurant which has great outdoor seating and a large back area seating where you can have large events and parties. Gravity Heights has the greatest location located near the hazard center and the River Walk Condos the location you can get from the hazard center the customer service at the restaurant is one that is high level with such great food. From the welcome at the front door that is one of the many things I look for the welcome and how they welcome and wish customers a good evening For the opening of the Gravity Geightx they have opened since April theur restaurant is one of the best with a place you can come and have great drinks great food with one of the best atmospheres for a great restaurant . The interior and the design of the restaurant you can enjoy with family friends great place for afterwork happy hour . As a yelp Elite Reviewer the many places that I've traveled to with great food and shows that makes your night . New restaurants are some of the best are some of the best many places are some of the best . Merry Christmas and Happy New Year .

Yelp
Love this pretty new place in mission valley. The dining areas are just gorgeous with plenty of outdoor pup friendly tables. The service is absolutely excellent. For lunch we ordered the lemon kale salad, the pot pie and a side salad. Everything was quite good. Prices are a tad high but you are paying for the service and ambiance. We will definitely be back!!

Yelp
I've been here a handful of times since they opened and it's always fantastic. Parking can be a little tough, but we've always been able to find a spot within a few minutes. This is a popular place, so unless there are some seats open at the bar, you may have about a 10-15 minute wait for a table. I like that they have beer glass sizes that range from tasters to pints. I just want a few sips, so the tasters are great for me. We almost always order the pretzels with beer cheese. Some of the best I've had in San Diego. Some of my other favorites on the menu include the spring roll salad, tuna tostada and the meat pizza. We came on a Sunday recently and they have a brunch menu with pistachio donut holes. Those were incredible, but they don't have the pretzels at brunch, so beware!

Yelp
Wow! Sonny husband and I went here last week. It was our first time at this location. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. We were stuck on a few entrees and wanted to try everything but we ended up going with the Tika Masala Pot Pie and the Salmon.... Oh my gosh. They were both fantastic. I'd recommend the salmon if you're aiming for something lighter and then the pot pie if you want to indulge. We will definitely get both again. The place was very nice and o loved the outside option.

Yelp
Came back here just for the tuna tostadas!! We had them the other week and ran back here for them as soon as we could since they were so delicious. Happy to report they are consistently delicious. We also tried the mushroom wood fired pizza. The pizza was a little too greasy for my liking but it was delicious nonetheless. The service was also good - everyone we interacted with was very pleasant. We also love the atmosphere of this place.

Yelp
So much to love about this place. I was able to make a reservation for Sunday brunch and was super lucky to find parking right in front. The restaurant is beautiful, airy, and bright. Everyone working was very nice and welcoming. They have inside and outside seating. Outside seating had both covered and uncovered options with heat lamps. They have a great drink selection and brew their own beer (not in house). The only thing I didn't love was the food, it was just OK. I ordered the Hawaiian Pancake...it was two large pancakes with coconut, guava marmalade, mango/pineapple chunks and cream on top. The underside of the pancakes were burned, the side facing up wasn't so I didn't realized until I took a bite. The amount of fruit that was on top of the pancake was very minimal, if they had put more I think I would've had a better experience masking the burned flavor. I didn't eat very much as a result. My date got the Brisket Hash, which was burned even more than mine. The toast was mostly black. Being a hearty dude, he ate all his food and most of mine. We both ordered drinks too, I had the Kiwi Be Friends which tasted delicious, but I didn't taste ANY alcohol or feel any effects of the alcohol. I ordered a cinnamon roll to go, which was pretty good (they don't really do those to go since it's cooked in a skillet dish, but they can give you a box so you can remove it and take to go). I had a few bites there and the rest reheated at home. It reheated really well. Since it's cooked in the skillet, the bottoms have fried texture which made the bottoms crispy/oily which I didn't particularly like but it still overall was good. The icing was bomb and they gave the perfect amount. I don't see myself coming back unless friends had already picked a meet up spot but I do think this place would be great for groups, friend and romantic dates etc. The service was really good and the ambiance phenomenal.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my meal at Gravity Heights! Our server was the best. Very communicative and super helpful. The cinnamon roll is a must! It was so delicious, probably my favorite item I ordered. Their falafel burger was great too, fries were cooked perfectly and the flavor of the burger was on point. I'll definitely be coming back!
