"Reasonably Corrupt, inspired by Louisiana’s law-shirking politicians, is a German-style black lager that—despite its dark tint—remains a nimble, easy-drinking sip." - Joshua M. Bernstein

Google
Got treated very well at this nice local brewery. Bartenders were friendly and engaging, happy to share opinions on their favorite brews on the menu. Seems to be a popular local spot, folks showing up for trivia night. Owner was present and happy to chit chat about his vision and growing pains. Extensive menu, pretty broad variety. Note to the brewer: Add a Belgian! See y'all soon

Google
Great beers and a great variety. Very informative bartenders that will help you find YOUR new favorite. Grace & Grit is AWESOME IPA. If it’s on tap, get it. If they gave it in cans, get some to go. Just added Cal-Tex BBQ as in house food supplier. Great food. If you’re near, stop here!!

Google
What a sneaky awesome place! Just on the other side of a historical district, it doesn’t look like a brewery right away. Such a cool, chill vibe the second you walk in. So many beer varieties to make everyone happy. The wall behind the bar has what’s all on tap. There is an additional seating on the brew floor too. Big fans out there too to keep you cool. There is also a food truck on the floor, and it seems they have guest trucks as well. We went at the start of their Rambler Week Celebration, they had all kinds of goodies happening. A local artist comes in and creates some sweet chalk art on their walls, they had the college and NFL games on their projector, they do Trivia on Wednesdays. So much happening in this cool place. Can’t wait to come back!

Google
Tried a couple Great Raft drafts in downtown Shreveport and they were so good, we had to track down the mother ship and have a nightcap...so glad we did. A phenomenal selection of drafts available at this location, in a really cool and comfortable taproom. Visiting Great Raft is a must, whether you're a regular or a local!

Google
Rented three kegs from Great Raft for my Air Force Squadron since 2023. Departing the area, so I attempted to return the kegs. I was informed of a 90-day window to return. This was the first I had heard about this window. Knowing this would have saved me a long trip over there which I could have used to move my household goods instead. I like their 318 and their black lager, but not worth all the money I lost on trying to supply beer for my squadron.

Liane Arnold

Google
One of our favorite breweries in the area. They have different food every time we come. Today they have the CalTex BBQ truck. Just so good!

Google
Really cool atmosphere and art and incredibly friendly staff. Probably some of the best amber style beers I've had in years and the whole flight was really quite good. Definitely worth stopping in.

Google
Great atmosphere, and tasty beer if your in Shreveport and you like breweries, you're going to want to stop by. Commotion is my favorite and a signature beer.

Yelp
Went to try out great raft brewing . They have a large dining area and a food truck with some spicy chicken. The evening we went they had a trivia game . It was lots of fun . Try one of their beer sampling trays

Yelp
Extremely pet friendly! This business has wide open spaces and great beer. Sometimes a food truck. Sometimes trivia. Interesting interior, perfect for insta or Yelp. Love the roll open garage doors making the place feel outdoorsy and open air. They close early so be sure and check their hours of operation before making that trek.

PB K.

Yelp
A wide beer selection and no frill efficient service. They have fun community events outside of regular hours.

Yelp
I was only able to have one beer here, but I wish I'd had time to stay for more. I had their 318 lager and a sample of Life Itself, both were delicious. I really liked the layout of this brewery, and the staff were very nice. Hopefully, I'll be back, and be able to hang out a bit more.

Yelp
What a great find! Highly recommended if you enjoy truly craft beers - HOMEMADE recipes - and fresh food selections from the on-site vendor (Dripp Hot Chicken). Long(er) story short - my wife doesn't like IPAs.... but liked BOTH of the ones I had! Truly incredible. And the two she chose (pilsners) each had unique tastes as well. We will be back often when we're in the area. The food was fresh and fantastic also.

Yelp
Excellent Service, great atmosphere. Spacious enough for events. They offer brewery tours, and food served in the back from a airstream type motor home. Pretty neat, and fun.

Julia W.

Yelp
We went in for locally crafted beer and we were NOT disappointed. They had multiple beers and nonalcoholic beers ready to be enjoyed. We are dark beer aficionados. They had porters, stouts and dark lagers. It was beyond my expectation in the south. This is a gem among what we had thought was a dearth of dark options. Thank you Zack for your generosity, talent, and camping knowledge. Thanks to the beautiful local couple that connected us with their local brewer. A stop here is well worth the time in Shreveport, LA.

Yelp
Beer good. Service cause they have to. No smiles and no talk. Sad because I would have several but felt I was an annoyance.
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome place! Kind staff, lots of seating, cool vibe, and the beer is great. They have an extensive menu with options for every kind of beer drinker. Plus, there's food! Would definitely come back.
google avatar

Yelp
I enjoyed the beer and the atmosphere of the brewery. Even though "sours" is not the common beer genre of the place, the sour attitude of the wait staff left me no choice but to downgrade my review. Yikes, sorry but that lady at the bar was so unhappy. I will add another star if she would just smile like having customers is a good thing. I'm not trying to pick. Maybe just not a good day...
google avatar

Yelp
Great place to enjoy a beer and listen to some great music. The guy performing when we were there was great! We enjoyed his throwback to the 90s music while sipping on a Chillsicle and Louisiana Amber. Highly recommended!

Yelp
I am from Birmingham, Al, which has a very large brewery scene. I felt right at home as soon as I walked in. The staff was extremely hospitable and knowledgeable. The venue was set up very nice. They did a great job with the decor inside and outside (warehouse). I liked how they had the brewing tank completely exposed for you to look around. I had their Octoberfest. It was pretty good, definitely not the best, but I enjoyed it enough to have two.

Yelp
I can't believe I have not written a review on this place. First, run their beer mile! It's a good time no matter if you're a runner or not. I am glad they were open for curbside during the corona pandemic. I had to support them. There's no in house food but they offer food trucks.
google avatar

Pete O.

Yelp
Great place to have a cold brew and celebrate with family and friends. The selection is very good and you will find a flavor profile for everyone.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a great place to hang out. They have a outdoor area to be within the covid-19 lines they have really friendly staff and delicious beers. Food truck was here tonight with Emergency Services Pizza which was delicious especially for a food truck offering. We are just passing through on a little weekend vacation but definitely will come back recommending locals to do check this place out and leave a good review because this place is absolutely going to be a great addition to Shreveport

Yelp
Favorite craft brewery in Shreveport while on travel out of St Louis. The bar staff are friendly chatters, we talked about skydiving, but they haven't from the made to go yet! I like hoppy but fruity creations and they have Commotion IPA. Just right balance of hop, grain, and smooth ending. Try it Got a growler too go, growler refills $10. Nice indoor game area and food truck on site. ROCKBOT DJ system let's Custer's be the DKs, cool tunes.

Yelp
nice back room for a private party. nice size screen tv. plenty of seats and plenty of standing room. i have no idea the cost as i am a guest. the beer was flowing none stop free at the host expense.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice atmosphere, cool decor and good beer. We came here after work on Friday and a food truck was parked outside. Periodically someone from the truck would come in with a basket of food to sell while people enjoyed beer. You have the option of buying a collectible glass cup that you get to keep and a chip so that you can get free refills-- or just pay by the glass. Enjoyed a cold beer from the bar and yummy fish tacos from the truck. Awesome place for dates and groups!
google avatar

Roger O.

Yelp
Not bad environment could hv more tv screens for sports but not a big deal. They do hv s big screen on the outside patio. Fresh beer but not very good. I suppose GRB is still evolving in regards to their brewing recipes. Red River is better, and Flying Heart is better as far as a craft beer somewhat. I use to live in England and got use to drinking cask conditioned real ale with a beer engine. Nothing in the world like it. Wish American breweries knew what this was, it really is a shame.

Yelp
This is a rare gem that you find when you really want to look. Great Raft Brewing is an ideal hang-out spot if you're someone who enjoys kicking back with a good brew and enjoying lovely conversation with your fellow man. You're drawn in by its rustic red-brick building and upon walking inside, you're greeted by friendly folks who offer you two choices of beer sampling. You can buy a smaller collectable glass for $6 which comes with three beer tokens. You can also buy a larger collectable glass with three beer tokens for $15. Other than that, each beer is $5. I got the smaller glass and it turned out to be just fine, especially if you plan on going about other places afterwards on your own volition. They have three different beers of their own creation on tap. "Reasonably Corrupt," a dark lager, "Commotion," a beer which packs the citrus taste of a Blue Moon without the sweetness and "Southern Drawl," a light beer that is easily the weakest of the three. The bartender station washes your glass before each new beer and they are smiling and fun to be around. Once you have your beer, you can hang around at the bar or at the beer-keg tables surounding it. You can also walk to another room which houses the brewing machines you can take a nice gander at. Food trucks also come on-hand to offer you something to much on while you drink and GRB is just fine with you bringing the food into the building. All in all, a very fun, enjoyable experience that I would readily repeat. :)

Yelp
Great beers, great staff and great atmosphere. What else do I need to say? Sampled a flight of multiple styles of beer and enjoyed all of them. From a lime gose to a nitro barley wine, they have it all, and they do it right. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive- we walked in during a down pour of rain and they greeted us with towels so we could dry ourselves off. Even in the rain they had food truck options available outside. I would definitely suggest stopping by and enjoying one of their many beer options!

Tyler D.

Yelp
Some of the best beers I've ever tasted, with a great atmosphere and friendly staff to boot. A must-visit if you're in the area (though I actually drove from two hours away for one of their beers)!

Nicole B.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, allows dogs and has a fantastic selection. If you haven't tried the key lime pie gose, you're missing out! It has the pleasant surprise of a graham cracker crust in the beer. Definitely worth checking out

Yelp
So if you enjoy trying new places this should be on you list.it is a pet friendly, fun adult zone but kids are welcome. They offer you a tour of their facilities and if you are there on time they might have someone preparing a lunch.
google avatar

Brandon A. U.

Yelp
The beer and atomosphere were great. I have been to many breweries living in Michigan and South Florida. The concept of Great Raft is very similar to what i Have visited. It would be great to hear live music and promoting more local bands in and around Louisiana, etc.
google avatar

Yelp
This craft beer brew pub is about a year and a half old and offers a nice chill atmosphere and some great products. There is no food here but there apparently is a Cajun food truck that drops by, carrying alligator sausage and such I was told. The servings (mostly pints) are all $5 and they have a top-notch selection. I tried their Reasonably Corrupt black lager, Creature of Habit coffee brown ale (great coffee taste and close to a top favorite), Born in a Barn saison, and Commotion American pale ale (probably my favorite). I also had a taste of the Southern Drawl pale lager which was ok and lighter, but I personally prefer more body and flavor. Upon reflection, I now realize that I just about tried 'em all, and really enjoyed this outing! A couple of our party had negative reviews on the Walker Melon Texas Ranger IPA (too fruity or something to that effect). Seating is comfortable in two areas, and they have a spacious setup. Overall, a very nice and quality addition to Shreveport!
google avatar

Ian I.

Yelp
I love this place however I have ordered the pale ale 4 times and recieved 4 different beers, luckily they were all good but not the same beers haha When you leave get their 22oz double ipa it's really good

L. D.

Yelp
Cool brewery with good beer. Was surprised how much I liked the Come what Mayhaw beer and the Life Itself - refreshing. I do wish they offered some pretzels or snacks of some sort. Always prefer servers and food as well but I would definitely come back.

Michael F.

Yelp
Beers are the best in town while I was there. Only drawback is they rely on food trucks to provide any lunch or snacks. Otherwise awesome space and would definitely return if back in town again.
google avatar

Yelp
Love their beers. One of three breweries in Shreveport-Bossier. Great Raft has the best beer by far. A close second to Red River in the quality and set up of their tap room. The quality of the beer more than makes up for the tap room. Constantly releasing new beers. Great place to go hang out and meet friends.

Mangoose R.

Yelp
5 stars simply because their product is great and because of how important they are to the Shreveport community. I think they serve their drafts too cold. I'd like more reliable cask offerings. I get that it's hot in Louisiana, but certain brews are too biting when served over-chilled. Call me a snob but that's how I feel. I cut my craft beer teeth in San Diego so know what I'm talking about. Still love the place!

Harvey K.

Yelp
Excellent handcrafted beer and great service! Always a treat to visit a great establishment like Great Raft Brewing!
google avatar

Jim B.

Yelp
My favorite place to grab a beer in Shreveport. They've done a great job with the space and the beer. This group has great leadership and lots of creativity -- always has a delicious new beer under development. Also, for a craft brewery, they have done a great job of keeping the prices reasonable.

Bird E.

Yelp
This was the first brewery I'd ever gone to and it's still my favorite. The beer isn't pretentious like a lot of breweries, it's just good beer. There was a caricature type chalk drawing on this Louisiana shaped chalkboard hanging on the wall. It was super cool! Jeff Bridges! I'll definitely be going back! Wish they were open Sundays :(

Mike P.

Yelp
Their beer is excellent! This place really is trying to make Shreveport a great place to live. They seem to care about their community, customers, and product. Try the double dry hopped commotion!

Yelp
Shreveport now has it's own fully-functional brewery!!! This beer maker just began brewing this year, and will soon open its' doors up for public tours, which will be AWESOME!!! I am so very pumped about this business, it makes me downright giddy! I recently attended a wonderful tasting event, of which Great Raft was the sole focus, and I can tell you that their Amber and Pale Ale are off the chain!!! I don't even like Pale Ale's, but Great Raft's is quite tasty and has a nice zing to it! I really hope that Shreveport-Bossier gets behind Great Raft, both small businesses and consumers. I hope to see Great Raft become a source of pride in this area and I hope to see it everywhere here locally, bars and restaurants alike. Great Raft will be at Shreveport's 2nd Oktoberfest (must be in recent history, because I remember attending an Oktoberfest at Pierremont Commons back in the 80's) at Zocolo's on Ashley Ridge, September 28th-hope they will have all college football games on at that time also. This is an exciting and new business venture for Shreveport and it may be this area's first brewery?...I'm not sure. But I remember being down in College Station, Texas, in the early 90's before Shiner really broke loose, and I was living in south Louisiana in the mid to late 90's when Abita was on the precipice of greatness...Call me an eternal optimist, but I'm getting that same vibe here. Check out their website. Go to Oktoberfest. Be on the lookout for the announcement of public tours and other appearances and events. Great Raft will be great for this area!
google avatar

Katherine M.

Yelp
Great Raft definitely kicks Shreveport up a notch! Went on our last trip to the Shreve, and we were totally impressed with the atmosphere and quality of the beer! Bands, corn hole, food trucks, and beer - what more do you need?! Beer favs included Commotion and Born in a Barn. We will most certainly be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Alright alright alright, Shreveport has a brewery...finally. I lived in Shreveport till I was 24 and I chose to move to the great country of Texas (yes I said country) and live in Austin. Austin has numerous breweries and I frequent many of them as often as time and finances permit me. I wouldn't necessarily call myself a beer snob, but I do love good beer and I'm pretty picky. When I was in town for Christmas, my friend told me they were having a special deal on Christmas eve and we should check it out. Any chance to drink beer and avoid awkward family conversations, so we went and checked it out. I kept bragging to my friend at how impressed I was that this place was in Shreveport and he just laughed at me. But seriously, if you live in Shreveport (and I'm sorry you do) and you drink beer, then you need to pay this place a visit. They have a sign that says something about it being the first brewery in Shreveport since prohibition and it's definitely worth the time and money spent. Pros: delicious beer, cool vibe and ambiance and very clean in the brew room. Cons: encountered 1 rude employee and only 4 beer options.
google avatar

Michelle K.

Yelp
Big fan of the Commotion Pale Ale; it is more of an IPA which, for me, is a good thing. All the others were OK. Very cool to be able to do a side by side comparison of the the Black Lager on nitro and carbon dioxide. Cajun food truck on a Friday night. First time I saw that you could use an app to request music to be played there. No dogs allowed. 6-packs of their beer was cheaper at Krogers.
google avatar

Shannon B.

Yelp
really cute atmosphere, friendly staff & great beer! we like the 'born in a barn' the most... but everything is good! cheers!

Eric S.

Yelp
Outstanding tasting room, with a classy staff. Especially Eric, he is the best! He does such a good job in the tasting room. Make sure you say hi to him while visiting. He will definitely give you the warm and fuzzies!

Helga I.

Yelp
Great beer! The Southern Drawl has all the hop character without a high ABV. Their brewer not only produces quality beer but is also incredibly handsome and obviously very talented!
google avatar

Janessa M.

Yelp
This was my first time here and we went on a Friday evening. It's close to hospitals and medical offices so on a Friday its full of medical professionals. Each weekend they have food trucks which seemed to have good food! We will be back.

Andrew C.

Yelp
Great spot. Friendly staff and even got to meet one of the owners. Definitely recommend this place to anyone passing through Shreveport- was one of our favorite experiences of our trip to Shreveport. Great Raft Brewing has a variety of different craft beer. The double IPA was my favorite!
google avatar

Stephanie W.

Yelp
Great Raft is my go-to spot in Shreveport. I go there enough that Bob, the taproom manager, knows my face and the staff is always super nice. The beer is excellent and they've really expanded the selection in recent months and their flagships are always great too. They always have lots going on at the brewery (I usually go to the Beer Yoga) and there are different delicious food trucks almost daily. They support the community through fundraisers and profit sharing nights and are a great ambassador for Shreveport and the craft beer scene. I'm glad this gem is so close to me and is one of the bright spots about moving to Shreveport. I'll keep drinking real beer here!
google avatar

Noah S.

Yelp
This has been one of my favorite spots since they first opened. Great Raft has brought a wonderful variety of craft (indie) beer to the Shreveport/Bossier community. The atmosphere is great, and the beer is excellent!

Rebecca R.

Yelp
I live in Baton Rouge and drove up to Toledo Bend. I made a special trip just to come to Great Raft Brewing, it is about 5 hrs from my home. I requested The Old Mad Joy and the person that was at the front said they would get a bottle out of the office. We were directed to the bar for samples, the lady behind the bar really didn't help us and was more concerned about other employees and their conversations. We had tried the Old Mad Joy in Baton Rouge a year ago and made plans just to come to this place. We bought 2 bottles of Old Mad Joy at $15.00 a bottle along with other beers to bring home. We got home and opened the Old Mad Joy and it tasted like heavy cinnamon, it was so bad we poured it out. I spent over $70 dollars on beer and a tip, which in my view she did not deserve because the service was lousy. I called today to speak to the manager to share my concern and he just told me that must have been the special brew we received. He said it was aged for several months and then they added cinnamon to it. I told him no one ever informed us of that and the beer was so gross, we poured it out. I explained how far we came and thought maybe he would offer something so we felt like our business was appreciated but all he had to say was sorry about that and hope you come again. I go to Toledo Bend several times a year and will not make any effort to go back to them....I would not recommend this place to anyone..IT'S A BAR NOT A BREWERY experience....very disappointed in that beer and the service.

Shannon K.

Yelp
Soooooo Delicious!! The Commotion APA is so freaking good and the brewery is a cool place to hang out. Games outside for nice weather, will definitely make a stop here again when I am back through Shreveport!

Caroline G.

Yelp
Can't say enough good things about Great Raft! Almost always one of my top recommendations for people coming to Shreveport. I have always experienced stellar customer service, and as always, amazing beer.
