Not great. But large portions. But the prices are also in the 16 buck range so… rice was not work eating. The cucumber salad was just dressed in hot oil and not authentic (but they did just call it “ma la” and not smashed cucumber salad), and the Singapore noodles had canned mushrooms. But it also had three kinds of meats. Very fast service.

Solid spot for Chinese food takeout! Dining in is closed. FAST service and tasty. The egg rolls, YUM. Crab Rangoon was a bit onion heavy for my taste. Sesame chicken YUM! Shrimp lo mein… oh my gosh, SO good! If you’re in between rice and noodle, do the noodles!!!!!

We had a high hope to get some decent Szechuan dishes from this place, but the dishes come out at average levels. We ordered the Tofu Fish Fillet with Spicy Sauce, but the Tofu cubes were bland. The fish-flavored eggplants were a little greasy. I think their American-Chinese dishes might worth trying.

Generous portions and food doesn’t take too long to reach the table; as a vegetarian, I was glad to see many options. Unfortunately, they delivered one portion of my meal with meat, even though it was ordered vegetarian. I thought it tasted funny, but I didn’t want to make an issue when I was unsure. By the third bite, I was certain and even spat out the meat into my napkin to inspect the rather large chunk of it. (Needless to say, I had to excuse myself from the table for a moment.) I mentioned it to the waitress and she “handled” it. Handling it meant that they apologized and brought a new, vegetarian version out and assured me that all was in order. They still charged me instead of simply taking it off of my bill. If they’d done that, I’d go back, but since they didn’t, I won’t be going back. Pity. They chose $1.95 one time instead of absorbing the cost and having me return dozens of times over the next few years. Oh, well!

Would've given 0 stars if that was possible. Chicken wontons had absolutely no chicken in it. Crispy Szechuan beef was pretty much only flour. And it was the least crispy thing you can ever have. It was as soft and mushy as you can imagine. Cashew chicken didn't seem like it was chicken, god knows what it was. In one entire order I found 1 piece of soft cashew. Shrimp toast tasted like regular toasted bread.

Mala menu is legitimately spicy and authentic. Not for people who are seeking regular Chinese. They have a normal Chinese menu but if you are looking for authentic Sichuan food you can get it here. I had the boiled fish and tofu

Very good traditional Szechuan food. The ma po tofu was amazing and the ma la wontons were the best I've had in a long time. My friend got the General Tso's chicken, which I joked was the least Chinese item on the menu. It was also great with a special Szechuan twist on it. I will have to come back and try more on the menu.
