"The original Grecian Gyro in Hapeville has been around for more than 30 years and is still a reliable stop for solid, made-to-order pitas and flavorful gyros. These sandwiches are packed with tender meat and grilled peppers that are all cooked in an open kitchen that gives off slight Waffle House energy. And the small dining room looks like it hasn’t had a paint job in decades, but that hasn’t stopped neighborhood regulars from showing up for the well-seasoned Greek potatoes and satisfying wraps. So there’s usually a line here, but it moves fast. So know what you want. Our suggestion is to get a giant pita with chicken, take it to go, like many do, or grab a seat on the covered patio overlooking the street. Food Rundown Chicken Pita This pita comes packed with chicken that you can watch the cooks season well. And the soft doughy pita bread is good enough to consider dumping everything out and eating on its own. Steak Pita The steak in this wrap does the job—it’s easy to chew, and the garlicky flavors pop. A solid choice. Gyro This place is rightfully known for its gyros. The meat is seasoned like the cooks live a life full of abundance, and the wrap itself is soft and flavorful.
