The Best Restaurants In Universal Orlando - Orlando - The Infatuation

"©2021 Universal Orlando. All Rights Reserved You can’t miss the giant green ham-shaped building when you walk through Islands of Adventure. The menu is all about tater tots, and no matter which way you order them, it’s hard to go wrong. While the green eggs and ham tots topped with white cheddar sauce are fantastic, the real can’t-miss dish is the buffalo chicken tots, a bed of taters piled high with chicken tenders, mozzarella, and buffalo sauce that will leave you wondering why you never gave tots the recognition that they deserved." - jacqueline dole

The 24 Best Things to Eat at Universal Orlando Resort | Eater

"You might not go out of your way for a metal tin of tater tots, but rest assured, when you’re on this side of the park, hungry, and craving an afternoon snack, this Dr. Seuss eatery will heal you. The mozzarella-slathered pizza tots serve as a year-round homage to Halloween Horror Nights’ beloved pizza fries, while the namesake Green Eggs and Ham Tots, topped with gooey white cheese sauce, always hit the spot." - Carlye Wisel

Google
Food in a theme park is a hit or miss . Had to try the green eggs and ham , thanks to my brother who recommended it. It’s good I recommend it as well and the green eggs is made with basil and spinach not food coloring (That’s a plus for me 😆) 😋 but my favorite was the carnitas tots , delicious with salsa, jalapeños and cheese on top 😋 I I will get it again !

Google
My son wanted to try green eggs and ham so we got the pizza and green eggs and ham tots. Since everyone was grossed out by the green eggs, I tried a bite and it was delicious! We go here quite a bit and this is now my favorite fast breakfast / lunch. If you can get over the green eggs (likely spinach added in?) then you will have a delicious, unique new food with a nice quiet place to sit in the shade.

Google
Why are these tots so good?! 😭😭 The buffalo chicken tots were FRESH and HOT. A great park lunch. Husband had the Who Hash which is also quite tasty - and you can even keep the can!

Kris Promagan

Google
Green Eggs and Ham Cafe is my favorite snack spot in all of Universal Studios Orlando. The tots are delicious, filling and can even be a quick meal. I had the Who Hash which was fantastic and you get a cute souvenir can. Service is pretty quick and there are lots of seating options nearby.

Google
Not only did I wait 25 minutes the food was not hot!!! I had the who hash and green eggs with tots. Who hash was dry with only 4 pieces of so called hash. The green eggs was 1 scrambled egg with pesto. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME!!! WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. I think tbe gentleman Q was running the show he was very pleasant but continually repeating himself on what was needed. PS they close at 6pm and it's not posted.

Shandra Kobler

Google
I ordered Who Hash and it took over 20 minutes to get my food, while several people who ordered after me got their food first. The three employees were also standing in the back not doing anything and eating their own food. The lines were unorganized and no one knew where to go. The food was hot and fresh when it finally came out but not worth waiting 20 minutes for.

Google
I saw a recommendation for this place on the Pugh Two's channel and kept it in mind while I was in the parks. This was a great place to get a snack and sit down after a whole day of rides. We tried the buffalo chicken and pizza tots. I think they do make these beforehand so that people don't have to wait too long for their food. If you manage to get a warm/hot version of the tots, then consider yourself lucky. It was a tasty and filling snack that can be shared. My favorite was the buffalo chicken. One note is that it does seem to close about an 30-1 hour before the park closes.

Google
This place doesn’t seem hopeful, however, the loaded tater tots were flavourful and filling. The service was very slow as only one kitchen member was working at the time and they were taking more orders than they could handle. The food was still really tasty and worth the price. I would recommend going out of lunch hours to avoid queues. There’s also no indoor seating

Yelp
Green Eggs and Ham Cafe is located in Universal Islands of Adventure and a place we have never been before even though we have been passholders for many years. This is a slept-on location. Any Dr Suess fan will love this area, as this restaurant is located in Suess Land, right when you come into the park on the right. It is just a quick service location with very few options, but really solid options. Their menu only has 6 items! That's it, just six. However, I think this is a fantastic spot for lunch or just for a snack. This is why we stopped, a snack. We only ordered one thing and shared it, but we will be headed back because it was delicious. Their specialty here is tots. Every dish has tots topped with something different. Some of their menu items included: green eggs and ham, carnitas, pizza or plant-based pepperoni. There is also a Who Hash, which was served in a can. The guest in front of me ordered it and was a cute dish. I think kids would love eating out of the can. The hash is the most expensive item on the menu. I'm not sure if it was a good value, it did seem small compared to the actual tot bowls, but people eating it around us, seemed to enjoy it. We ordered the buffalo chicken tots: Chicken tenders, mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced scallions, ranch and buffalo sauce over tater tots. We asked for the scallions on the side, since my wife does not like them, and they had no issue with that. It tells me that they could probably customize the dishes and leave things off. The tots seemed to be cooked in a foil pan, which is also what they served them in. It came out hot, fresh and was actually really good. I was surprised at how much I actually enjoyed this dish. It made the perfect snack for us, but it would also make a very nice meal. Their seating is limited, there are only a few tables around the location, and all outside. Some of them had umbrellas but in the summer, this is going to be brutal. There is an indoor quick service restaurant, Circus McGurkus, located on the other side of the carrousel, where you could go take your food and sit inside. We will usually stop at the Backwater Bar, which is a few steps away and grab a cocktail, which also has tables. So, we would probably just head over there and enjoy our snack with a drink. This is underrated and definitely an add to your list stop. Grab a snack or a meal but it is very good. I recommend this location and can't believe it took us so long to try it. I think you should check it out. Aces!

Yelp
I do like green eggs and ham! I like them, yes, said Tiff-I-am. I'll eat them here, I'll eat them there - at Universal Studios or in midair! I'll eat them in a cozy nook, While reading my old storybook. With toast or tea or candied yam - I do like green eggs and ham! Except, I got the Whoville hash here instead. BUT, I loved this whimsical little cafe. From the exterior that is a giant ham to the food offerings. I couldn't resist the cute little can of the Who Hash (Corned beef, onions, white cheese sauce, scallions and tater tots in a Who Hash can). It was pretty tasty - especially that white cheese sauce. Great little snack! The only complaint is that it was pretty hot (outdoor seating here only) so after our meal, we wandered over to Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous for some dessert and AC!

Yelp
Ok so I LOVE all things Dr Seuss and years ago (maybe decades) this was my favorite place. But the menu completely changed and while I want to love it because of what it is. I want the green eggs and ham sandwich back. The who hash presentation is phenomenal but it tasted like tots and cheese. I saw the occasional tiny piece of corned beef but couldn't taste it. For the tots the portion was plenty but the green eggs and ham all I could taste was the cheese sauce. U can see small amounts of green eggs and tiny pieces of ham but couldn't taste it. The carnitas tots were ok. Again I REALLY want to love it but the flavors are just not there for me. It also took forever to get our food. The people behind the counter may have been new and learning the ropes because stuff sat out for 5-10 mins. Before they gave it to those of us waiting on our hours.

Yelp
We couldn't pass on trying Green Eggs & Ham with a can of Who Hash! I mean, how could you not try it?? They were good and I walked away with a souvenir Who Hash can :) It was a one-and-done for me...worth the experience, but not interested in hitting them again.
google avatar

David M.

Yelp
Fun cat in the hat themed restaurant, the food we had the who hash was good . Eating in an amusement park will always be a little pricy , but this was worth it.

Yelp
Green Eggs and Ham Cafe is a new spot for us and located in Universal Islands of Adventure. This is a spot we have never been to before, and honestly most of the time, it is closed. It is located directly before you enter Seuss Land to the left. It can be overlooked for sure! This is a quick service spot, with a very limited menu. There are only six items on the menu. They specialize here in tots. They are all topped with something different. Their tots are a little larger than what you might be used to, but they taste exactly like a tater tot. Recently we tried the buffalo chicken tots which had: Chicken tenders, mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced scallions, ranch and buffalo sauce over tater tots. I asked for the scallions on the side since I do not like them. They are cooked in a foil pan and served in that pan. This came out hot and was so good. I was very surprised on how much I really enjoyed this. It was a perfect size for my husband and I to share as a snack, but this could be a meal for sure. Their other tot options include green eggs and ham, carnitas, pizza or plant-based pepperoni. They also offer a Who Hash which was served in a can. It was really cute; I saw other guests ordering it. But it was rather small. And as the most expensive item on the menu, I'm not sure if the price is a good value. I'm sure it's the corned beef, which is causing it to be a higher price, but it was more than half the size of the tots. They have a few tables around the location, but they are all pretty much in the sun. My husband and I actually went to the Backwater Bar, which is very close, grabbed a cocktail and sat in the shade with our drink and our tots. I would definitely recommend stopping here for either lunch or a snack. The buffalo tots were fantastic but we I am curious about the other options. I feel you cannot go wrong with buffalo chicken tenders so there is at least one option. I would highly recommend swinging by and checking out this rather hidden location.

Yelp
This place lives up to the hype! The food was good and the novelty shined through. The next time we go to Universal, we'll for sure be stopping here! Some ducks came to eat with us. They didn't get any of our tots, though. They really just wanted to say hello and take a selfie, then they bounced.
google avatar

Jean Sébastien F.

Yelp
This is the sweet spot for tatters Tots. The menu can change a bit but there's always the classic and 2 others always present. I tried all of them and all of them were good. My favorite is the pizza one. It can easily be shared. While it won't fill you up if you share, it will allow to have either more snacks in or simply ride ready.
google avatar

Andrew B.

Yelp
We go for the Who Hash!! They have other stuff but I can't tell ya what they are. WHO HASH all you need to know.
google avatar

Meagan N.

Yelp
I think it's easy to get burnt out from standard snacks at a theme park which is why this was a nice change of place. My favorite is the pizza tots. If you're hungry you could easily finish a full dish, but we enjoyed it more as a snack and shared with others. Some of the other places can get busy for snacks so this was great for something much quicker. I would recommend for both adults and kids look for a quick bite with plenty of seating around.
google avatar

Malikah U.

Yelp
They offer some specialty tots. Green eggs and ham tots were nothing fancy, but they were edible. Presentation was nice. Plenty of seating in the area. Service was quick, so it didn't take a lot of time out of our park experience. Workers were friendly, as expected.
google avatar

Jennifer H.

Yelp
This is my second time eating here, and it did not disappoint. I once again got the green eggs and ham tots. It was as delicious as I remembered! Flavorful with generous portions. While I could use a little more flavor complexity, it is definitely a solid breakfast option. I will visit again in the future.

Yelp
Located in Seuss Landing in Universal Studious, you will find Green Eggs & Ham Cafe. It's the building that looks like a green ham.. you can't miss it. On the menu, of course, are green eggs and ham but not how you think. Honestly, I was expecting it to look more like a sandwich. I know at least several years ago when I came here that's what it used to be. Nonetheless, I was not disappointed by the taste. They put tots, topped with crumbled green scrambled eggs, diced ham, and then they smother it with white cheese. They even had a vegan option! Although the pictures may not make it look appetizing, I have to admit that it was unexpectedly delicious and filling. Everyone should definitely hit this place up because it's novelty and good!
google avatar

Roger Renzo R.

Yelp
I can't believe that tots can be so delicious! I tried the buffalo chicken tots, and they surprised me. It was very tasty and filling. This is certainly a good snack to share in the park. The service was quick, but they had some trouble listening to the order because of the noise of the attractions. Also, they have plenty of seats available around the area.
google avatar

Shayna H.

Yelp
When my family and I were tanking the best things we ate in Universal, 2 out of the 3 of us ranked this as our top. It's a fun and unique eating experience in Seuss Landing. It was the perfect place to get some brunch-style food. I ordered the vegan tots which were essentially a vegan version of the pizza tots with vegan cheese and pepperoni. It was super filling and delicious! They have some lovely seating by the water for a meal with a view. Great eating option!
google avatar

Amber B.

Yelp
Green Eggs and Ham Cafe is a whimsical spot in Universal's Islands of Adventure. This is a counter-service restaurant with affordable options that give a break from the standard theme park fare. The menu is made up of tater tots, but spunky versions. Our family's favorites are the pizza tots, buffalo chicken tots and the Who Hash!
google avatar

Tharin W.

Yelp
The Green Eggs & Ham Cafe offers a few different savory items (and edible cookie dough!) Service is usually pretty quick, and it does offer one of my FAVORITE items at Universal Islands or Adventure: Green Eggs & Ham Tots. These tots are served very hot, so be careful, but they are a perfect shareable snack with scrambled eggs, ham bits, cheese and tater tots. For an early morning grab, or even a way to warm up on cooler Florida days, this is a go-to for me.
google avatar

Brittany I.

Yelp
There are many well themed snacks and drinks to try at this cafe in the Dr. Seuss area. Staff is fast, friendly, and efficient. The food had good flavor and was priced as expected for a theme park. I would recommend and return.
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
Yuck... The only reason I am giving Green Eggs & Ham 2 stars is because the tater tots were crispy. The toppings they put on the tater tots were cheap low quality ingredients. We ordered the carnitas tots and the pizza tots, and both were yucky. Plus the service is super slow, and there isn't much seating. Do yourself a favor and skip Green Eggs & Ham if you are at Islands of Adventure. We spent almost $50 on garbage.
google avatar

Lana E.

Yelp
If you haven't visited this little spot in Islands of Adventure, you're missing out! This is located in Seuss Landing pretty close to the park entrance. We have been a couple times so far but have only tried the Buffalo chicken tots because they are just so DANG GOOD! It's a pretty good little snack to share or can even be a meal (if you're not sharing hahha!). Service speed just depends on how many people are waiting and if it's during the lunch or dinner rush. I definitely want to try the pizza tots next. Regardless, I highly recommend!!!
google avatar

Deanna L.

Yelp
I tried the buffalo chicken tots here. It was good, I wish the cheese was more melted and there was more sauce, but it was still very good. This is a quick service place and we got our food very quickly and the seating is outside. There were plenty of seats available so it's a good place to sit and relax.
google avatar

Mahak M.

Yelp
Incredibly satisfying breakfast options, everything you'd want to sustain a long day at the park. I will say the corned beef hash was a bit salty, but the nostalgia made it enjoyable!
google avatar

Vlad V.

Yelp
Do you like green eggs and ham? I'm sure you do. If so, stop by Green Eggs & Ham Cafe located in the Dr. Seuss section (obviously) of Universal Studios. I stopped by for lunch on a Friday. This isn't an indoor restaurant, it's basically a stand where you order at the counter and they'll call your name once your food is ready. From there, there's a few tables outside with umbrellas. The menu isn't large but I clearly had to go with the green eggs & ham. Their version consists of tater tots with cheese, sauce, and green scrambled eggs. I'm always a fan of loaded fries and this was a cool version. It won't blow your socks off but you'll be happy you tried it. Service was standard and it's a good spot for a quick meal al fresco.
google avatar

Sarah C.

Yelp
LOVE the Green Eggs and Ham Tots! My favorite food from the park. The portion size was bigger than expected which was nice. There are also a lot of tables nearby to sit and eat at.

Kimberly C.

Yelp
Best food to order at the park that is a reasonable price! Tots were crispy and they weren't stingy with the chicken. Highly recommend these tatas!!
google avatar

Yelp
This place it's located inside of one of the universal theme parks, food its very good and there's always fun to eat there
google avatar

Jessica D.

Yelp
This was our second visit back to Islands of Adventure and the Green Eggs & Ham Cafe is my boyfriends favorite spot to eat (I'm partial to the crepes and baked potatoes, but this is still good!). Crispy, hot tots loaded with toppings. Hard to go wrong! I found the standard green eggs and ham and who hash items to be very bland and boring. On the flip side, the carnitas were SO good and definitely the best flavor with pizza as a close second.
google avatar

Allie G.

Yelp
As someone who loves tater tots I had to try their loaded tots!!! We wanted to try more than one so we got the carnitas loaded tots and buffalo chicken tots. The proteins for both were cooked very very well. The carnitas were juicy and succulent and the buffalo chicken soft and breaded nicely. Our favorite had to be the carnitas ones as the buffalo chicken ones were nothing special and didn't really have enough sauce. Meanwhile the carnitas were better balanced in tots to topping and sauce ratio. The service was great as well and helped us select the flavors we wanted.
google avatar

Raegan L.

Yelp
I do like green eggs and ham, Sam I am! When creating a Dr. Seuss themed section of a theme park, one of the bottom lines is that there has to be a restaurant serving GREEN EGGS AND HAM. Come on, it's iconic! So thank goodness for this lil cafe. First of all, the building itself is literally a giant green ham! Hysterical, really. They serve a few different version of hashbrown hot dish essentially, and I have to say I thoroughly enjoy them. Especially the buffalo hash, the tater tots mixed with chicken, cheese and buffalo sauce is scrumptious. This is also a rather uncommon type of food for a theme park, which only makes it even more fun. I'd actually recommend giving them a try, so you can like green eggs too!
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Quick. The Vegan option comes with diary free cheese - I asked & it taste just like real mozzarella. The tots were good nothing to rave about they had tomatoe sauce on the bottom and pepperoni was good & the sausage. Also got a cup of water for free and they have a place to fill it up at the red soda stand,
google avatar

Briana N.

Yelp
For $10 each, Green Eggs and Ham is super worth! The portions were a lot bigger than I expected especially since the potatoes are so filling. There's a good amount of toppings on each dish and despite that, the tater tots are super crispy and hot. Really delicious and with lots of seating areas around even if all the tables are occupied. I don't think the Who Hash is that worth it considering its $15 and comes in a small can. But you do get to keep it, and it's probably nice to try once. I also recommend not eating this right before going on a roller coaster! Was planning on riding the velocicoaster after eating but had to postpone because of how full I got and how heavy the dish is.
google avatar

Ryan B.

Yelp
Pretty good tater tots with ham, added jalapeños to give it a good kick. This will have you full for a good minute.
google avatar

Stacy K.

Yelp
I have been waiting for this moment for years! Finally, some green eggs and ham. I remember when the recipe was dropped but I did not want to make them until I tried the official Universal dish. These were incredible. The tots were so crispy with exactly the right amount of salt. The eggs and cheese sauce where not to overly spiced, it was creamy and savory. Worth the wait. I like that they also have a vegan version of their pizza tots. I would have totally tried those if I had more time and more tummy room. I will be making these for dinner for sure this week now that I know. Personally I will be adding more pesto to the eggs and use a spicier white cheese sauce, but these are a must try at least once if you are eating around the park.
google avatar

Chelsi B.

Yelp
I must admit tater tots aren't exactly my favorite but my husband, as well as my best friend, absolutely loves them. With that in mind I agreed to come to the tater tot focused restaurant if we got the signature dish, green eggs and ham tater tots. I actually really enjoyed them and the green eggs were the proverbial cherry on top of the meal. I had also heard good things about the pizza tots so I tried a bite of my husband's and while it's good they are still tater tots which arent my favorite thing in the world. I probably wouldn't put this on my list of favorite places but it was pretty decent. This place was definitely a win for my best friend but for me it clocked in at fairly average.
google avatar

Jim L.

Yelp
Food tasted okay. I mean ham and eggs and hash brown. however be aware your eggs may be part frozen or part cold... cool vibe and theme though.
google avatar

Jeremy O.

Yelp
Nice affordable snack/meal for the family while inside Islands of Adventure. Only downside was the long time waiting for food after ordering.

James K.

Yelp
I got the Green Eggs and Ham tots and it was one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten. The titular food is delicious but they give you crispy tater tots and the perfect amount of queso to make the flavor really pop! Everyone there was super nice and the backdrop of Seuss Landing and Islands of Adventure cannot be beat!
google avatar

Heather L.

Yelp
The Buffalo ranch tots were the absolute best! One of our favorites in the park. We skipped this place on our first trip so we tried it the second time 100% worth it
google avatar

Lee F.

Yelp
You're going to be tempted to get the Green Eggs and Ham and/or the Who Hash, just for the novelty of it. I recommend resisting. We got both, and they were pretty bland. I give them 2 of 5 stars. The Buffalo Tots were a little better (3 stars), but the best thing by far was the Carnitas Tots (4 stars).
google avatar

Jerry W.

Yelp
When in Whoville what do you do when hunger knocks.... Green Eggs & Ham. You get a mound of crispy tater tots heapped with an generous helping of moldy green scrambled eggs and diced ham. Then a white sauce is poured over it all. I must admit... I do I do like green eggs and ham sitting down on the ground and walking around. The flavors are really subtle.... they really like to cuddle.
google avatar

Sefali P.

Yelp
WHO would've thought this would be the most memorable meal at Universal. We got 2 of each: pizza, buffalo chicken, Philly brisket and of course, green eggs & ham. I had low expectations but the buffalo chicken was shockingly good and turned out to be my favorite. Pizza was good too. The other two would've been better with hot sauce. Warning: line can get long so get there early especially if this is your breakfast. To add, you'd think it was quick service, but with staffing shortages, it can take some time so be prepared to wait. While you wait, claim your table and wipe it down - I don't think it rained but the tables were soaking wet. Oh the places you'll go, don't skip this spot, a mouthful of deliciousness with each tater tot!
google avatar

Kathleen K.

Yelp
This was such a fun place to grab a quick bite, right in the heart of Seuss-land! They had a yummy vegan option too (the pizza tots). It can be quite hot to eat them outside during the day though.
google avatar

David D.

Yelp
Solid comfort food. Who doesn't love tater tots smothered in a cheesy sauce? Opted for the namesake "green eggs and ham" because one should start with the basics.
google avatar

Erica M.

Yelp
Buffalo tots are a staple! This place is hard for us to catch open but it's always pretty good- ask for extra sauces with the Buffalo tots, sooo good. Crispy and just solid for the price. The line is worth it to be honest. Sometimes it's been cold, stale, and just overall old, but we eat it anyway because we don't want to cut in line to have it fixed lol overall if you see it open and are feeling snacky, I'd stop in

T.J. L.

Yelp
Overall great flavor. Some of the tots were just tots and were not covered with toppings. Overall, a surprisingly good meal. We tried the green eggs and ham, buffalo and pizza tots.
google avatar

Lynn M.

Yelp
We got an order of the Buffalo chicken tots. This was flavorful and every bite had cheese and chicken. This was a great snack
google avatar

Tara S.

Yelp
This was a surpise hit for my family. We really enjoyed the theming. The food was quite tasty too. Loved the substance of the tater tots. They were a great addition to the green eggs and ham. The pizza tater tots had a lot more flavor then the Green Eggs and Ham. It was preffered for most of us. It was very filling and reasonably priced for a theme park. The characters even meet up nearby.
google avatar

Ivy R.

Yelp
My son loves Dr Seuss so we decided to try out the Green Eggs and Ham Cafe. We ordered the Pizza Tots. There is a little bit of tomato paste underneath the taters that you can't see in the picture, taters, cheese, sausage and pepperoni. Very tasty ! Now our go to spot, when we're hungry.
