Our 15 favorite places in Midtown Village - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"For a last-minute brunch with a group, Green Eggs Café is the spot. They have plenty of space both indoors and out, and large, cafeteria-style tables for sharing from their extensive menu. Since it’s not hard to get a table, you can focus on the important things–Key lime pie French toast or Cajun shrimp and grits? A chorizo, egg, red pepper, and black bean burrito, or red velvet pancakes? Green Eggs has something for everyone, including massive picture windows and plants for the inevitable group photo you’ll take between sips of your pumpkin brown sugar latte." - candis mclean, alison kessler

Philly’s Best Eggs Benedicts and Omelets | Eater Philly

"One of Philly’s most infamous breakfast and brunch spots offers a stellar take on an eggs benedict that is actually a twist on chicken and waffles. Order its fried chicken benedict, made with fried chicken tenders and two poached eggs served atop a buttermilk waffle with maple syrup and hot sauce hollandaise." - George Banks-Weston

Philly’s Best Pancakes and Waffles | Eater Philly

"What started as a cafe in South Philly in 2010, Green Eggs Cafe is now a Philadelphia powerhouse with five locations in the city (as well as a seasonal location in Ocean City, NJ). Here, brunch plates are plentiful, as evidenced by the red velvet pancakes, a stack of three massive square pancakes made with chocolate morsels and strawberry mascarpone, and topped with maple syrup and vanilla chantilly cream." - George Banks-Weston

I tried this place for the first time today and will say I enjoyed my visit overall. There are lots of yummy and unique options for French toast and pancakes as well as drinks. I decided on the cinnamon bun French toast which was as good as it looks. I got eggs on the side which came with breakfast potatoes and meat. This proved to be delicious as well. What wasn't as pleasant was the wait. It was crowded when we first arrived so we understand to an extent but after getting seated, we were told the waitress would be right back and it took quite a while before anyone even acknowledged us again. Same was true for getting our food. We didn't receive any updates so just chatted and waited a while until the food came out. The waitress was quick with us but pleasant enough. The food was however warm and tasty so the wait didn't distract from the experience too much. This place also only takes cash which was inconvenient though there's an ATM on site at least. Overall, not the perfect experience but I'd be willing to visit again to try out some more of the unique menu items!

Great vibes and great music at green eggs cafe. Some of the food we had was absolutely amazing but I would not recommend the surf and turf meal. The service was not that great but it may have just been our server because most of the employees we encountered were really nice. I would definitely come back.

Amazing food for a chain restaurant! Love their french toast - especially the cookie dough stuffed french toast. Shrimp&grits and chicken Benedict were great too. Went on a Monday morning at opening hours and the place filled up by 10 am. Has Vegan options too.

The presentation of the food was amazing but the taste was gross on all 4 of our meals. The cost was INSANELY expensive for a cafe! It was super loud inside and the service was awful. The server was even arguing with the hostess right in front of us. We had someone that walked with a cane in our party, but they didn't care and marched us right up a set of stairs. I asked if there was anything on the lower level and she told me it would be an hour wait (we had already waited 45mins!!) And she was rude about it. When I was walking by the kitchen I saw one of the employees drop a rag on the floor pivked it up and tried to throw it in the buvket but it hit the water jug and he just moved it over to the bucket, then someone else grabbed the water to take it to a table to refill someone's water. So gross!!!! Its not a place I would go again.

Green Eggs Café in Philadelphia is the ultimate brunch spot that’s guaranteed to leave you craving more! 🍳 Whether you're a local or just visiting, this vibrant, cozy café is the perfect place to kickstart your day. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a lively atmosphere, with colorful decor that sets the tone for a fun and delicious experience. 🎨 Now, let’s talk about the food—because it’s nothing short of amazing! 😍 Their signature dish, the "Green Eggs & Ham," is a true showstopper. Think scrambled eggs, creamy spinach, and perfectly cooked ham, all served on a bed of fresh, crispy toast. Trust me, it's every bit as delicious as it sounds. But that’s not all—Green Eggs Café takes brunch to the next level with mouthwatering options like their Banana Foster French Toast 🍌🍞 (which I dream about regularly) and Lobster Benedict 🦞—a decadent twist on the classic eggs benedict that’s perfect for special occasions or when you just want to treat yourself. The portions are huge, so come hungry! 😋 But don’t worry, if you have leftovers, they make for the perfect next-day snack. The staff is friendly and super accommodating, always ready to offer recommendations or help with any special requests. Their drinks menu is also top-notch, with everything from fresh juices to expertly crafted mimosas. 🍹 Green Eggs Café isn’t just about food; it’s about the experience. Whether you’re enjoying a leisurely brunch with friends or a solo morning feast, the vibe is always upbeat, making it one of my favorite places in Philly. If you haven’t been yet, what are you waiting for? It’s an absolute must! 🌟

I wanted to come here because everyone talks about this place, and the food did not disappoint! The service was super quick, and the food was delicious. The menu was a little overwhelming because there’s so many different options, but everything came out so good. The only thing I would change is that despite the restaurant being on the empty side, I felt like we were right on top of the table behind us. This place is also cash only, and they have an 18% gratuity charge for any orders over $50.

Excellent food! I’ve been to their City Center location and their Rittenhouse locations in Philly. I prefer the ambiance at the Rittenhouse location but the food is all the same at either. Great portion sizes for my family of boys.
