Our 15 favorite places in Midtown Village - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"For a last-minute brunch with a group, Green Eggs Café is the spot. They have plenty of space both indoors and out, and large, cafeteria-style tables for sharing from their extensive menu. Since it’s not hard to get a table, you can focus on the important things–Key lime pie French toast or Cajun shrimp and grits? A chorizo, egg, red pepper, and black bean burrito, or red velvet pancakes? Green Eggs has something for everyone, including massive picture windows and plants for the inevitable group photo you’ll take between sips of your pumpkin brown sugar latte." - candis mclean, alison kessler

Philly’s Best Eggs Benedicts and Omelets | Eater Philly

"One of Philly’s most infamous breakfast and brunch spots offers a stellar take on an eggs benedict that is actually a twist on chicken and waffles. Order its fried chicken benedict, made with fried chicken tenders and two poached eggs served atop a buttermilk waffle with maple syrup and hot sauce hollandaise." - George Banks-Weston

Philly’s Best Pancakes and Waffles | Eater Philly

"What started as a cafe in South Philly in 2010, Green Eggs Cafe is now a Philadelphia powerhouse with five locations in the city (as well as a seasonal location in Ocean City, NJ). Here, brunch plates are plentiful, as evidenced by the red velvet pancakes, a stack of three massive square pancakes made with chocolate morsels and strawberry mascarpone, and topped with maple syrup and vanilla chantilly cream." - George Banks-Weston

This food was EXCELLENT, the service was great and the waitress was knowledgeable and very helpful. This restaurant is CASH ONLY, so please be prepared- it's also very busy and the seasonal menu is SOOOOOO GOOOD! I had the funnel cake French toast and turkey bacon, it was thick sliced and fried well done, I had NO NOTES, because it was perfect, I also drank two crème brûlée lattes(with oat milk) and it was delicious. The salmon Benedict was soooooo well seasoned and delicious. Please visit if you're in Philadelphia and want to have a delicious breakfast experience.

Green Eggs has great food BUT I must say this particular location's experience left me not so thrilled. It is CASH ONLY for some ungodly, ridiculously stupid reason. It is 2025!!! Whi doesnt accept cards? Smdh. Anyway, the cinnamon bun french toast was cold due to the filling being ice cold... literally straight out of the fridge cold. I couolldnt eat it but the eggs were great. My daughter had the chicken and waffles which was cooked perfectly. The tall blonde waitress we had could not have been more dry and unfriendly. She was almost bothered to be at work waiting on people. No smile, no kindness just super dry. This experience is contrary to experiences to other locations. I cannot say I would go back to this location, nor would I recommend it. Food is good when done right but the service, big no.

We came to the Green Eggs Cafe in Brewerytown today after the Rocky Run 5k today. My group was a party of 9 and we as about 5 other similar sized groups showed up at the same time. The service was fast and efficient and the food was divine! I will definitely be coming back!

Green Eggs is a solid brunch spot in Philly. I had the steak and eggs with fruit and it was amazing. The food came out in a timely manner, the staff was very friendly, and they had great music playing the whole time. The vibe and service made the experience even better. Definitely recommend checking it out.

Our group of 4 friends stopped in for breakfast on Saturday morning. We all got 4 different entrees and drinks and loved them all! Our server was attentive and friendly and the manager came to check in us as well. We would highly recommend!

Such beautiful brunch food! Cash only, so keep in mind before coming here. As a celiac I could not have any of their specialties like the extravagant French toasts and pancake concoctions, but I was pleasantly surprised when the waitress said they could do gluten free bread (small upcharge — I was told it was a dollar). They did not toast the bread because of (I presume) cross-contamination risk. I ordered the build-your-own-omelette and it was great. Receipts with more than $50 get a 18% service charge. Overall very tasty fare, and while I didn’t get any fancy drinks, they looked great.

The place is simple but nice, staff very friendly and caring. We liked the food too. I was about to give them 5-stars but entered the restroom and….unfortunately, felt like in a public one. This little “detail” decreased my rating of the place.

Everything was great! It is cash only and they do have an atm on site. Got the crème brûlée French toast and chocolate chip iced coffee and both were delicious
