Wonderful new, low key restaurant with incredible home-cooked Chadian food and a bit of outdoor seating. I highly recommend trying this place for takeout or outdoor dining. The restaurant owner took the time to walk us through each of her dishes and you could tell they were made with care. Don't sleep on her ginger drink or bissap either. They were both delicious. We had a little bit of everything and I can't say enough about how tasty it was.

I came for a late lunch at around 4:30 to try this restaurant because of the rave reviews. I ordered the baked fish but she didn’t have the fish and recommended this chicken dish, saying: It’s really really good. So I ordered it with spinach and okra as side dish. The dish came lukewarm except okra. They were not fresh but stale. Nothing on the plate was enjoyable. I ate one chicken ball and okra. She might have pushed on me the left over items from yesterday or who knows when. She asked me whether I wanted to take the left over with me and I declined. I wish I could give 0 star. It wasn’t cheap either. The prices on the menu from the photo aren’t the current ones. I went to the restaurant on the corner of the 9th street and had an edible meal.

So delicious and amazing. The owner, Tamika, used to work in human rights for the UN and Peace Corps -- she opened a garden in the Congo to feed people, hence the name "green garden". Just wanted to share her special story. Food is healthy and super flavorful would highly highly recommend.

This place is INCREDIBLE. We wanted a snack but found orgasm on our plate! We got the couscous, okra, cabbage, and zucchini along with the organic ginger & hibiscus drinks. EVERYTHING is delicious. We ordered a second round and regrettably couldn’t stuff in a third. We WILL be back!

Glad to see an authentic grandma home cooking style African food in east village. The only other places like this are in Harlem or the Bronx. Very nice lady good fast food and great prices. They really need to advertise more about being from Chad thought. People in this neighborhood love anything that is """"""ethnic""""""

A fantastic addition to the East Village. Lots of great healthy options; I particularly loved the Brussels sprouts. Really cheerful staff doing a superb job serving customers quickly and efficiently. 10/10 and will certainly be back for more healthy fare.

I had a wonderful experience eating a spread by Tamika, the owner and sole operator. She is a wonderful woman, and her business speaks volumes to who she is as a person.

Really delicious and super flavorful food in very generous portions. The kebabs and samosas are out of this world!
