Greenhaus, a veggie forward (maybe vegetarian) Indianrestaurant recently opened near one of my offices, so I thought it sounded like a great opportunity to get something different for lunch one day. It is in a congested parking lot, so I'm very glad I had the opportunity to walk there. The menu is interesting, as you can choose a wrap made with naan bread, a protein, and a sauce. I really love Indian food so I was quite happy to see that. I chose a naan wrap with paneer and a spicy coconut sauce. I also ordered a spiced iced tea.
When I arrived, the place was small, and a bit dark. It is more of a place for lunch takeout rather than to dine there. I paid for my order and started to leave, but realized they had forgotten the tea that I had paid for. No prob... I walked back in and got it. What I didn't like is that when I asked for a straw, the guy working there handed me an unwrapped straw with the same unwashed hands he used for taking my cash.
As far as my order, the iced tea was delicious. I would definitely like to have that again. My food was tasty as well. I loved the flaky texture of the naan bread, but that flaky texture was not very good for a wrap, as it completely fell apart and I had to eat it with a fork. I also wished that the paneer had more of the sauce on it, instead I had a plastic container of the sauce to dip it in. I think more could have been done to allow the flavor of the sauce to mix with my food.
I didn't have a great experience, but as it is close to work, I may give it another try and order something that is now a wrap.
