I live in KC. But ordered several loaves of the chocolate babka. Chocolate babka has been my favorite my entire life. I've had it everywhere. But hands down, this is by far my absolute favorite!!! Shipped fast. Arrived in perfect condition and tasted as fresh as if I was getting it right out of the oven!

I ordered Poppyseed Roll because I was unable to find any that were like the ones that my mother used to make. I was amazingly surprised. My first taste took me back to the days and the taste that I remember so well made with my mother's loving hands the two I ordered were outstanding and I will order more. Thank you for this wonderful recipe that brings back many happy memories.

These babkas are unquestionably one the best baked goods I've ever encountered. The flavor is outstanding, but what makes these standout is how incomparably dense and packed with babkalicious goodness they are. Big bang for buck, there is none other like it.

2 orders, mine was delivered on time but very sweet products and some plastic in them... The 2nd one was scheduled to be shipped later. Thy didn't ship it, I call and they tell me they did, I call fedex and they say they didn't receive anything (tracking was still only showing label created but no pick.up), I then get an email from the bakery telling me they didn't ship it because one of the products was still in the oven (they advertise same day shipment if order is placed before 2 pm yet they couldn't have the products ready, though confirmation email with tracking number states package is ready, for scheduled orders), I call again and they switch to email message stating that the products weren't ready! no sorry, extra day before it arrives so unplanned delay, they don't care! Can't recommend this! Products are mid level (that's if you don't get plastic in them too, as bonus-pics), customer support is 0 (they no longer reply to my mails to tell me why they lied to me and why they have false advertising) and the overall experience is far from being anything decent! Stay away!

Ordered their Babka (chocolate and cinnamon) and both are great with lots of flavor. However, since I’m a cinnamon enthusiast, I like the cinnamon a tad bit better. But these are quality products that deserve a raving review…so here it is! They have captured my heart and I will be ordering more and I encourage everyone to at least give them a “taste” drive! They were shipped in a timely manner.

This family owned bakery is the epitome of classic old-world authentic Kosher delights. Everything they make melts in your mouth. They are a trusted brand that my family has been buying for decades. I highly recommend their hamantaschen, which is buttery and fruity. I especially love the poppy seed and apricot. They are divine. It has been years since I've had a chance to patronize their shop, but they do sell online and at select stores that offer Kosher products. If you want to treat yourself and your family to really great desserts, try any of their products. The black and white cookies, babka, rugelach, etc. are fabulous! You will love them! They even offer vegan options!

I bought the chocolate cheese babka. It was very good but it was delivered by UPS and that's where the problem happened. They said they would deliver between 9 and 1. Then they updated it to 7PM. It was shipping to a business so 7PM was no good. They ended up delivering it at 530PM when everyone was gone. The next morning my mailroom could'nt find anything. They ended up finding it in the freight area of another company randomly left there. When I opened it ,it was all mushed together. It was a mess, so we all just picked it apart with forks and ate it. Don't get these shipped, go to the store and pick it up if you can. UPS is horrible.

Excellent Mohn Hamentashen, Mohn loaf, Challah and Honey Cake. Whichever the Holiday , Green and Ackerman have the treats.

This is a wholesale establishment, NOT retail. However, that being said, they do sell baked goods if you drop by. Babka $8.49. They also take credit cards.

Horrible experience!! They don't value your business one bit. They ship out perishable items late and could care less if it arrives on time or even at all. Mine never arrived so I called a half dozen times and they just ignored my phone calls. The same for the emails. Once they have your money, you're screwed and since they have enough business, they really don't care. Based on the other complaints, I don't think they care if they get a poor review either. It's obvious they use caller ID to avoid calls from angry customers because they wouldn't answer my calls after they found out how pissed I was but if I called from a different number, they would answer the phone. If I had read the other negative reviews, I would have never purchased from this horrible business. Their attitude is despicable and I wouldn't recommend ordering anything from this bakery, especially if your doing it on-line and expecting it to be shipped. The only way to get their attention is to dispute the credit card charge. Depending upon what your looking for, I would recommend Russ & Daughters or Magnolia Bakery through Goldbelly. This way, if your order gets screwed up, Goldbelly is accountable and will make it right.

They have a very good website with a large range of options including some bundles. Traditional Cinnamon and Chocolate babka, regular and mini size. I ordered the mini chocolate babka and the "blue and white" instead of black and white cookies for Channukah cheer box I sent to a family friend plus some for our house. Both are delicious. Came securely packed and you can actually set the dates they are shipped out too/when you check out online--I did not realize this, but noted for next time.

I've been searching for a poppy seed babka for a long time and Greens did not disappoint. Their poppy seed Babka is loaded with filling and the pastry is just right. I've tried a few other things and they are perfect. When I opened the box the smell of the bakery permeated the room. And next day delivery! Order order order. Good thing I don't live close I would be there every day.

went for lunch. although it's crowded , very quick services. foods are fresh & all the workers are friendly. Satisfied!! seats are available, old NY style dinner, milk (daily) products. walking distance from the train JMZ. recommend for the tourist as well. (Jewish kosher food)

They tasted how they smelt. Imagine a cinnamon roll with less roll and more cinnamon sugar. The traditional one is sweet, more sweet than I had thought. I was mentally prepping myself for a cinnamon roll without the frosting which is somewhat bland you know? This had the sugar on it so there was somewhat a natural glaze. I paired the traditional one with coffee (no sugar but of course cream) and it was a great combo. I honestly have no idea how you're suppose to eat a Babka, but I treated it like a pastry and ate it with coffee which was good. The chocolate one I actually liked better than the traditional Babka. STORY TIME- I looked up Babka and it's a jewish/ Easter European pastry. The chocolate that they used definitely isn't your typical milk chocolate. The inner layers tasted like it consisted of bitter sweet chocolate chips or sauce, not really sure how they make it, but it made it a tiny bit less sweet and was perfect for me.

Their hamentashen is great and their black and white cookies are unbelievable. They send their stuff in 24 hours after baking. It is great to have real Jewish baked goods available in my area. I hope I don't get too fat.

While visiting NYC, my friend and I ventured off to Brooklyn just to have been there. We wandered around by foot to take in the community. We really wanted babka while in NY, so we found this place. Of course I didn't note that it was their warehouse and we knocked on the door. Oops! They kindly let us in anyhow, and talked with us for a few minutes. They gave us a little tour, let us sample a cookie, and even let us buy some chocolate and cinnamon babka. I assumed that I would prefer the chocolate because I am obsessed, but they were both amazing!! We shared with colleagues and it didn't last long. Now to find a way to get more here in Southern California...

Had them deliver to Texas and it was worth the wait. Everything was awesome! Will order again so delicious.

We received a Hanukkah mail order gift of a cinnamon and a chocolate babka. Absolutely the best babka we have ever eaten. It was fresh, moist and very tasty. The wonderful fragrance of the babka permeates our kitchen. Can't wait to try their other pastries.

The secret is out. Their babka is phenomenal. I have tasted their babka at Second Ave Deli and Russ & Daughters, as well as other fine establishments. What really impressed me was their website. I placed an order and within 48 hours my family in Boston received 2 chocolate babkas. This was through their standard ground shipping. Excellent +.

For my 300th review, I've got to give big ups to Green's Bakery. They make the best babka ever. It's babkalicious. Ever since my bubbie passed away over two decades ago, I've craved a babka like only she could make. Mom was babka-deficient. She could bake but babka was not one of those baked goods she could make. So where could I find a babka as moist and chocolatey rich as what bubbie made? Enter Green Bakery. I discovered the at Zabars but really, you can get them at quite a few places. What makes them so good? I've heard they smuggle little Jewish Hungarian grandmothers into their kitchen to bake all these cakes individually, which I believe to be true. How else could they taste this good?

My mom's good friend sent the Round Cinnamon Babka out to California as a gift for my grandma. I don't know how they wrap it so it stays so fresh, but it was the best Babka I have ever had. Sugary, soft and tasty!

Shocked to read that my mail ordered poppy seed loaf had "artificial ingredients"...had to toss two marvelous looking loaves. Too bad is wasn't real. Sad.

Sent a variety of goods as a gift this month. Recipient was too embarrassed to tell me how bad they were. No taste, dry, heavy, unpalatable were the words she used to describe the pastries. Have two stars for fairly quick delivery.,Do not recommend!!

The best babka in the world, that simple. Also strictly kosher, yoshon, and pas yisroel. I don't need to say much more. The babka is moist, rich, and deeply chocolate-flavored.

I just purchased a loaf of the chocolate babka @ one of our local delis (California). This stuff is to die for! I would include a photo, but there are just crumbs and a ripped plastic wrapper left. I'm in Heaven.

When I saw the previous review for this place I decided to swing by when I was in the neighborhood. Turns out this is not a store but the baking facility of a Hasidic Jewish company that sends their goods to many stores that cater to Kosher diets. Their stuff is very good though. If you're a "freegan" into "urban foraging" they put a couple boxes of slightly older (but still good) baked goods by the delivery entrance (probably as a mitzvah by giving back to the community). I grabbed a chocolate babka and a bag of vanilla rugelach. Score!

Great sushi in the most unexpected place. The babka is amaZing & the tuna salad "vidout da egg" is worth the trip.

This place is amazing! The best babka ever! The people who work here were so kind...thank you Esther for all the info on getting there and also for the great service from Ben! I wished I had video my trip there because it was quite an adventure...
