"The new blue cocktail ($13) at D.C. raw bar Grillfish is made in honor of Ukraine. All proceeds from the Kyiv Mule — made with Republic Restoratives Civic Vodka, ginger beer, simple syrup, and Curacao — go towards World Central Kitchen’s humanitarian efforts in Ukraine through April. A variation of the drink is available across the entire Eatwell DC portfolio (Commissary, The Pig, Logan Tavern, and The Charles). In addition, Ivy City’s Republic Restoratives will donate $2 for each Civic Vodka bottle the restaurants go through to Ukrainian Women’s Guard." - Tierney Plumb

The grilled salmon is so delicious! I highly recommend it. I ordered it with a side of mashed potatoes and the sauce is ginger cilantro. The reason I gave this place 4 stars is because the host was kind of rude to us just because we didn’t have reservations. It’s a simple thing to not expect all restaurants must have reservations. So in the end we sat at the bar. But honestly, other than the host, the food was great!

Really enjoyed the food. Buffalo shrimp did not disappoint. Risotto balls I will it was something else with them but if you like friend cheese and the tomato sauce does it for you then it was perfect. Wish the soft crab was a little bigger. Friends and I enjoyed will definitely go back for another brunch date.

This place was really lovely, the decor was nice, the service was fast and friendly, and the food was lovely! Our table ordered the entrees of grilled swordfish, the whole bronzino, the seafood pasta, shrimp piccata, and a small plate item of grilled octopus with Korean barbecue sauce. Everyone really enjoyed their food and the drinks were delightful as well! Would definitely come back!!!

Special watermelon sangria had great flavor, but seemed low on alcohol. I ordered two dishes off the happy hour menu, fish fajitas and pear salad. Great flavors, but the shells for the fajita were not good and ripped apart before I could even get anything on them. I also left hungry but didn’t want to spend another $10-12 to get a 3rd dish. Staff was very friendly thankfully, and I enjoyed the atmosphere.

Amazing fish restaurant with many options on the menu and lovely restaurant decor. The menu is smaller but well crafted and the wines and cocktails were superb. The grilled fish was absolutely delicious and our party got the mahi mahi and salmon plates. We also got the crab cakes which were a delicious comfort food. We finished with a mango key lime pie that we ate a bit too fast before I could get a picture as it was that delicious.

The customer service here was really good. That is so important for me. My sister and I were visiting from North Carolina and wanted a nice place to eat on Sunday before we left. Parking is free on Sunday so that was a plus. Our waitress was nice and friendly and did a great job with answering our questions. My sister said her Margarita was PERFECTLY made. My mimosa was good also. THE FOOD WAS SO FRESH AND cooked perfectly. I added freshly shredded parmesan cheese to the seafood pasta per recommendation of my waitress and it was exactly what it needed. I am so glad she mentioned it. My sister was given a sauce to pair with her steak and she said it was the best she'd ever had. I think it was made in house. The bathroom was clean and overall this was a really good experience. I would love to go back again to try something else, the MENU has a lot to offer.

Food was amazing, fresh, and service was great. Very good seasoning on our dishes, presentation made the meals even more enjoyable to eat. And $1 local oysters were delicious. Definitely coming back here every time we visit DC.

Truly one of my favorite DC places! Great pricing! Fantastic fish! Yet a sorted menu for every taste! Great everything… Drinks, food and especially happy hour, 4 PM to 6 PM every day. My favorites are the mixed grill, steaks and the Stoly Doly! Server Ryan fantastic tonight! If you haven’t checked this place out yet, what are you waiting for?!?
