Updated review: I visited this spot again but this time I disappointed with the pizza. It was not the same consistency which I had earlier. We tried the Margherita pizza, it was too saucy. Old review: I had no idea how good this place would be! The ambience was top-notch, and the food was absolutely delicious. We tried the Margherita pizza, with the draft beer which was really good. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Over the weekend I visited Grimaldi’s Pizzeria at The Domain in Austin. It was my first time and let’s just say — the pizza was definitely doing what it needed to do. I ordered a pesto + sausage combo that was flavorful, crisp, and had that fresh-out-the-brick-oven feel. But the real star of the meal? That tiramisu. Creamy, perfectly portioned, and just the right finish after a savory slice. Shout out to Xavier, our fabulous waiter, who made the entire experience memorable. From his menu suggestions to his attention to detail, he made us feel right at home. ⭐ 4 out of 5 stars Would absolutely return for a post-branding brainstorming session… or just dessert.

Well we were welcomed by the best host I've ever seen in my life. He was so full of energy and opened the door for us. Very prompt with instructions and guiding us to our table. I felt very comfortable from the start. Our waiter took our order but I wasn't to happy about him not knowing about the drinks alcoholic content. We ordered a drink that he suggested after telling him we don't drink alcohol. The drink he suggested was alcoholic unbeknownst to him. I would have been very upset simply because I'm recovering from alcoholism. We waited almost 35 min for out pizza to come out and did not receive our jalapeños with it. We notified our waiter and another waiter but still didn't receive. We finally got our jalapeños when there was literally one slice of pizza left. This definitely didn't sit well with me because I seen on 2 separate occasions of them just standing around and talking. The food was outstanding 👌🏿 the pizza was so fresh and the sauce was seasoned. I enjoyed it. I would recommend this place even after the hiccup. 6/10

The staff here is always helpful and inviting. The pizza is great. Fresh pepperoni, quality cheese, and a good undercarriage. My personal opinion is that the sauce needs a little bit more flavor. Very bland.

Disclaimer: if you are eating here under the assumption this will be anything like the original Grimaldi’s in Brooklyn then you will be sorely disappointed. Unfortunately for us, we are a tad delusional and went in with that mindset. Let’s start with the good: the staff is very friendly and attentive, the options for pizza are great, and for how busy The Domain can be on any given night it’s nice to be somewhere a bit more relaxed and quiet. The subway station stop decor made us feel a bit at home, which is always a welcome feeling. And for the bad (or at least not good): the pizza is just severely overpriced, almost comically so. You’re telling me a 12 inch pizza with 2 toppings is pushing $30? If I wanted to be robbed like that I would just go to 6th Street and hand a vagrant my wallet. The food isn’t bad per se, but it just isn’t worth the price it’s set at. We ordered four pies: The Don, a white pizza with chicken and sun dried tomatoes, a white pizza with spicy sausage and sun dried tomatoes, and a tomato pie with Italian sausage. Aesthetically they all looked great, and the flavors were good as well. We poured a bit of hot honey over our slices which provided it a strong zip of heat alongside some sweetness. The pizza is well balanced and would be considered decent by NY standards. Altogether Grimaldi’s is a good pizza place handcuffed by the fact that they think they can charge NY prices for Austin pizza.

Google
We ordered the pizza and calzone. Calzone filling was too sweet and just ricotta. The calzone was thin crust and didn’t stay crisp, just soggy. Pizza was fine, nothing to write home about. Bottom was black with soot. Need to clean oven or something. I was excited to come here but won’t be coming back.

Google
Pizza was a little burnt and tough to eat. It didn't resemble the NY pizzas 🍕 I've had in the past. However, they do have lunch specials.

Google
Sorry folks but this is one of the worst pizzas ive ever tasted. They sold us an 18in pizza and served a 16 in pizza, first off. The pizza is dry and burnt, wr had to order a side of pizza sauce to complete the pizza. The server was excellent, however the pizza is very poor quality, do not waste your $35 on this pizza. A cup of wine is for 6oz starts at $12.

Yelp
So, I've eaten here a few times and each time the pizza is delicious and crispy AS LONG AS you dine-in. Unfortunately, when you take it to go, the pizzas are steamed by the boxes and the crispy deliciousness is ruined ;( I wasted $90 on 2 x-large pizzas to go and almost wrote the place off as I was so upset. Tonight, I came back and enjoyed 2 tasty crispy pizzas and decided no more to go pizzas for me; ONLY dine-in from now on. Leftovers work as the pizza is already cooled when you're taking it home. Christian served us well tonight and the lovely weather made it perfect to sit outside. Cheers to Grimaldi's redemption visit!

Yelp
Guest beware!! DO NOT GET TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF!! We got to the restaurant and were very excited to eat here. We decided to eat a pizza that is half and half. We expected to be charged the higher price of the more expensive pizza. Instead, of a $3 difference we ended up with a $13 difference because they charged for each ingredient that wasn't on the other pizza, on top of the original price. Oh and when doing this no one said anything about how we would be charged. When I asked someone that works here they said it was how corporate wanted them to ring it up. So either they lied (I believe them and think they were being truthful) or the corporate offices want to nickel and dime customers. Either way horrible! Very disappointing and would definitely NOT recommend coming here!!

Yelp
delicious thin pizza with a crispy crust (def recommend to ask for their ranch, if you are a pizza ranch person). their pizza was yummy and fresh. however i would've loved some more variety within the toppings that were offered. service was very friendly and helped a lot with our big group. overall but definitely come back when graving a solid margarita pizza.

Yelp
I've always wanted to try this place out, but we came right around the "stoking" hour, so it felt a bit rushed trying to decide what type of pizza I wanted right when we were sat. The Bellini tasted so good, I had to get another! I ordered a small white sauce pizza with chicken and jalapeños. To add chicken was $4, and it seemed like they did not put enough chicken on the pizza for the cost. The 12in pizza was about $30 w/chicken, basil and jalapeños. It was pretty quiet, but once 4o clock came it started to liven up a bit. I'll def come back for the giant slice and cocktail.

Yelp
We make a point to go here every time we visit NYC. Amazing pizza and overall it's just a great experience.

Yelp
The good about this restaurant is it is in a great area and is a very nice atmosphere. It has a ton of potential but is a chain so not sure if they can make the changes they need to get the extra *s from me. We were a table of 10 and our server was great. He did a great job of taking care of us. We ordered 5 pies and they came out fairly fast but not all at the same time. That made sense possible because of the wood fire oven but the pizza got cold extremely quick IMO. I am a fast eater and love hot pizza and by my second slice it was no longer hot. This may have only bothered me as no one else in my group said anything. I was surprised by the lack of favor on this pie that claimed to be a spicy pie. It was mild and hardly had any flavor. I am not a fan of writing negative reviews and I hope things can be fixed because I would love to give them another shot next time. The pizza are not cheap so that means they got to be memorable.

Yelp
Trying too hard to be NY pizza. Sinatra on repeat doesn't cut it. The giant slice was just a slice (compare to Brooklyn Pie) Basic, almost fast food pizza Beer seems watered down

Yelp
Yum! Went on a Wednesday evening and wasn't busy. Xavier served us and the service was amazing. Very attentive and made sure our orders were correct. We got half hot honey and margarita pizza and it was so good! Really big slices! I like that they give generous amounts of sauces on the side. Casual but still a good date spot. Will def be back!

Yelp
Well, first of all, having been in the restaurant business I like to include the employees in the review. Our multitasking server was Juan (I think his last name is Inamillion) I always like to feel welcome in every business and Juan certainly made us feel welcome. The restaurant is nicely appointed and comfortable. They use the team method of serving which means that your food is delivered immediately when ready. Virtually every team member was a delight. Juan followed our instructions to the letter. We had arrived at a time when the wood fired oven was being re-stoked. The hostess carefully described what that meant as far as service. I looked at my watch and figured...hey, a glass of wine and a salad and our pizza would show up and that is exactly what happenned. So, if you are going to the Domain and you haven't tried Grimaldi's Pizza, I highly reccommend it.

Yelp
It's nothing like the original Grimaldi's in Brooklyn but it's still good! Caesar salad good. Pizza is thin crust and good. I like they have "slice deals". These are really good cuz you can try multiple toppings. See photos for the menus. And if you can fit it in, don't forget the cheesecake for dessert! The bartender was our waitress even though we sat at a table. She was sooo nice. Gave extra tip just cuz of her happy and helpful personality. And I love the open feeling here. Lots of space and cool decor. I like the wine bottle chandeliers.

Yelp
I asked to split an 18" pizza between two $36 specialty options. The server said yes, but instead of treating it as a standard half-and-half, I was charged $36 for the one pizza and $13 in topping fees -- with no clear warning. This isn't standard practice at most pizzerias and feels misleading. I would've been better off ordering two separate 12" specialty pizzas for less. The pizza itself was good, but the lack of transparency left a bad taste. I won't be returning and I definitely won't be recommending this place to anyone.

Yelp
Great location and fresh ingredients based on taste. Wood-fire give the pies a unique taste. We had the pesto pizza and I'd order it again but looking forward to exploring other flavors. Enjoyed our service from the host until closing out. Great wine selection and variety of pizzas to choose from the menu. You can do half and half of customize. Our server was prompt and efficient.

Yelp
Much better! We had not been here in awhile as the last time we were there, service was slow and food was not that great. Man, have they turned it around! Service was amazing starting at the door with being greeted and seeing a team effort to get everyone waiting seated. Our server Leah was super helpful and great. Food was much better, too!

Yelp
It's far from being the best pizza I've had, but it's the best I've had in Texas. The crust is thin, crispy and bubbly, with a good undercarriage. The sauce is clean, not heavily seasoned like some places. The mozz is underwhelming. I prefer a blend of mozz and provolone. That would give it the tang that was missing. And if we go back, I'll bring a little bottle of EVOO to sprinkle on the pizza. In case you haven't guessed, I grew up where you can get REAL pizza, NJ/NY/CT, so I'm a bit of a pizza snob. Place is clean, and service is good.
google avatar

Roshini T.

Yelp
Classic place where you can't go wrong! Pizzas are large and very flavorful. Service is good. Located in the Domain so parking is plentiful in the garages. Can't go wrong with anything here!

Emily S.

Yelp
Good atmosphere - watching the kitchen as they toss the dough in the air is still quite entertaining. Pizza was delicious and salad was great. On a Saturday, early afternoon - the restaurant was not crowded, and staffing levels appeared adequate for the crowd size. The guy busing tables never stopped moving, cleaning or smiling. Our server was very different - I don't know if she was tired or just plain didn't care. at almost $100 for lunch (2 of us and I don't drink) I had expected the service to be as good as Grimaldi's has been at other locations. that service never happened. She seemed to think she was doing us a favor to actually (finally) take the order. I don't want to be catered to every minute but I don't like to be ignored - actually heard a similar complain about the server from other diners. it will be a very long time if I ever go back to this location - seriously the pizza is good, but get it to go
google avatar

Yelp
Only reason it got 4 stars is because the service was very slow. We were the first ones and only ones for about 30 min there. It took us about 40 min to get our food and the sever wasn't every present. But that FOOD THOUGH! Worth. The. Wait!! It was amazing. The kids did get pizza dough to play with which was cute! The pizza was cooked to perfection and everyone devoured it. Location is in such a good spot with tons of things to do around it. Inside was romantic

Yelp
Great place in the domain. Very cute restaurant, love the atmosphere. The bar is separated from the dining room. We went on a weeknight and were seated right away. Our server met us at the table and took our drink order right away. As we had never been before she explained the menu and ordering for us. We ordered the Caesar salad, Margherita and The Don. Everything we had was good. Loved the coal fired New York style pizza. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Experience here was A1! We got a buffalo chicken pizza that they had on special and man it was so good! Service was fast and staff was friendly. Will be back!!

Yelp
I visited Grimaldi's for the first time on Sunday, and while the pizza was good, the super long wait time and getting overcharged and not realizing until it was too late were problems. I shared a 12" pizza with my boyfriend since we both weren't super hungry and figured we could customize our halves. I got a white pizza with garlic and topped it with artichoke hearts, olive, and onion. It would have been nice if they had pineapple haha. The service was good but I felt like they were trying to push us to download the app for rewards. They also offered ranch and other condiments, and I didn't realize a side of ranch would cost and extra $1... um, what? On top of that, the pizza took forever to come out, which surprised me because it was a "small" 12" pizza. I appreciated that the crust was thin and they kept my boyfriends prosciutto well away from my side of the pie. But what blew me away was that our pizza cost $34...um, come again?? At the time we didn't think of it since we split the bill and it didn't strike us but when we left I was like, that seemed crazy for one small pizza... Not sure if I'd come back on my own, don't really want to spend more than $10 on a small pizza so I'll happily get my cravings satisfied at Mod or Blaze lol

Yelp
First time at Grimaldi's...the server says, "you are in for a treat to the best pizza in Texas". I roll my eyes and reply, " I grew up in the East coast and have not found great pizza in Texas. My friend is vegetarian so we ordered a Traditional Pizza lightly baked because she didn't want it to have a charred crust. The pizza's consistency was good. The slice folded over nicely. The pie was cut in odd shaped slices. Some were very large while others were small. The sauce was lacking much flavor...it could use a bit of salt among other spices. The mozzarella was very good although I would have liked a bit more coverage on the pizza. The pizza was not piping hot. Although if it were it might have scorched the roof of our mouths. I refused to eat pizza in Texas for many years as I was spoiled growing up in the Northeast. All in all this is one of the better pizza places in Austin. It just needs a little tweaking!

Yelp
I've had better pizza at a shop across the gay club. This place is on the pricier side, and it's like $4 per topping. I don't mind paying the extra money, but I'd expect it to taste a lot better. Good ambiance. Staff was nice. I wouldn't give it a second try. 2 stars.

Yelp
Grimaldi's Grimaldi's...ate here for to-go once and then again with my sister in location. First, if you want pizza to-go here during 3:00PM and 4:00PM it's probably not happening... the first time I went here for to go was around 3:40PM and I was told that they were 'enriching' or some other term I've not really heard at a pizza place and that there is no to-go during this period...this info not on their website... so I went elsewhere. The second time I came back was at 2:50PM and after the week before just being told that this period was 3 PM to 4 PM, I was told at 2:50 PM that day that the pizza was not available to go. after politely explaining to the manager that this is not what I was told the first time I came for to-go, and it is clearly before 3:00PM, she relented and allowed me to order two pizzas to go. The pepperoni and red onion was delicious . The sauce was great and the crust was very thin style and cooked perfectly. I also ordered the barbecue chicken pizza and it was also very good, however the barbecue sauce was a little too tangy for the rest of the ingredients on the pie. Now, I'm a true Texan and I love tangy barbecue sauce, but this just didn't fit. 'Spicy/sweet' would be better adjectives for a BBQ chicken pizza, not 'tangy'. Returning with my sister a couple of weeks later, we ordered the pepperoni and hot honey add red onion and the white pesto pizza. Both outstanding. Service was friendly and good and efficient . The location at the domain is very nice. It's clean. It looks very New York and is often busy and buzzing with happy people eating lunch or dinner. Lastly, the only complaint I have is the cost of the pies...12" is $30.... So by the time you finish ordering two pizzas and drinks - not even alcohol - it's $80....ouch. Nothing like having a good meal and then having buyers remorse for your wallet after you leave realizing you just had a few pieces of pizza.... So that's why Grimaldi's gets four out of five stars. The pizza is great but get ready for your wallet to be pimped.

Yelp
A very very good pizza experience! I love pizza (as you can see from my reviews over the years). It's important that I love everything about it- the crust, the sauce, and the amount and freshness of the toppings. Experiencing pizza at a restaurant also requires good atmosphere and attentive service. Grimaldi's wins on all these points. The only drawback for me personally is that I love a slightly thicker crust. This is a great place for casual get-togethers or fun date night in the center of the Domain eateries. Mangia ("let's eat" in Italian)! Enjoy!

Yelp
Ambiance: the decor and music were just right for an Italian meal. Service: I don't remember our waiters name but he was very polite and always came back around to see if we needed anything and to fill our drinks. Food: We ordered pepperoni pizza, the don pizza and a margarita pizza and they all were absolutely delicious and flavorful! The pizzas were thin and crust was cooked with just the right amount of charbroiled flavor! Super tasty!

Yelp
This is some damn good pizza at this cute New York style pie joint. The host was very nice too! I just love when the food and service are both quality. Job well done y'all ! I'll be back (:

Yelp
GOOD pizza, your fingers get black dust on em because this is real! Yum! Not Dominos price, because it is authentic Brooklyn pizza made with good ingredients the correct way!

Yelp
I came to Grimaldi's for what I expected to be a quick lunch, when shopping around the Domain. They're now serving slices during lunch time between 11 am - 3 pm, so this seemed like a great idea since I didn't feel like getting a whole pizza pie. Heads up, I downgraded my rating because the service has diminished since my last visit. I sat out on the patio because it was a gorgeous day, and looked through the menu and ordered water to start. After a while, I asked about the pizza slices for lunch because I couldn't find it on the menu. The hostess or someone else ended up bringing me the lunch menu. I seemed to be the only person sitting outside on the patio, but there were barely any servers coming outside to take my order or check in. After 15 mins, a server came out and asked if my order had been taken yet. I pointed at the slice + salad + iced tea/soda on the menu and said I'd take that option & the server said I could get up to 3 toppings. I placed the order, and waited 20+ mins for my food (no one checking in on my table whatsoever). I was sitting there with my water, and about to leave because it was taking so long for a slice + salad. Finally my slice came out, and the server was like, "they didn't bring out your salad?" I shook my head no, and he apologized and said he'd go get it. Salad came about 10 mins later. Food wasn't as good as my last visit either, but this could have been due to my topping combination on the pizza. Check came, and i was charged more than what the menu stated for the slice and salad combo. I was fed up at this point because of the long waits to get service (order taken, food, and check). I should have checked the receipt before handing my card, but like I mentioned I was rather frustrated and wanted to leave. I didn't realize the $ difference until I was about to sign, and of course, a server is nowhere to be found. Overall, because I hadn't ordered the soda/iced tea, they were itemizing my order; I understand this is partly my mistake bc I didn't order a soda, however, my main complaint is the lack of service for the entirety of the meal, because it was hard to get anyone to come out to my table at all. Had I realized, I would have ordered the additional drink to my water to get the combo pricing. I was asking for the adjustment of the check, but they ended up comping the slice and salad, hence 3 stars. It'll probably be some time before I decide to come back because of the lackluster service received this visit.

Yelp
Be careful on asking for half half here. Ordered 16in pizza and asked for half2 "The Don + Procuitto". Later did we know they charged you for the toppings for the other half of the pizza. We ended up paying $41 (27+4pepperoni+5meatball+5sausage) for an OK 16in pizza. Lol. What a rip off. Not again. P.s. The wait was long for a not so busy lunch, don't go hungry.

Yelp
This place was amazing. Very nice atmosphere love the vibes. Me being from NY it gives you that feel. The staff is very nice from the minute you walk in. Food came fast and very fresh you see them making the pizza. The pizza was delicious def will be back when we come back to town and def will recommend. Danny was our server and he was very pleasant.

Yelp
I've been searching for the best pizza in Austin and I think I've found it! I'd heard so many good things about their other locations in San Antonio, TX & NYC, but this one is local so I had pretty high expectations. They definitely did NOT disappoint. When we walked in, we were immediately impressed with the classic Italian pizzeria aroma, which lots of places are missing. Table decor has the classic white/red checkered table cloths. The staff are friendly and then to top it off, the pizza is INCREDIBLE!! I'm a big fan of thin and crispy crust pizza and this is exactly that. The pizzas are ready SO fast! Less than 10 minutes after we ordered. Just a note to all the basic b*tches (like myself), they do NOT carry ranch, and may even get offended when you ask. So either BYOR or just enjoy the authentic flavors!!

Yelp
Finally. It's here. I've been to a number of Grimaldi's in other parts of the country. I remember talking with the manager in San Antonio a few years ago. He said they had been trying to open an Austin location for a few years. And it is finally here. First, lets talk about stoking their wood/charcoal fired oven. I haven't read the reviews yet for this location (so I don't know if there such reviews here). But... every afternoon from about 3 to 4 pm. they stop making pizzas to stoke the oven. This kind of oven is an important part of the magic of their pizzas. A sneaky trick... Arrive while the oven is being stoked and advance order your pizza. We ordered an antipasto (not salad) that came with little slices of italian bread, chopped fresh tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, olives, fresh basil, and olive oil and balsamic on the side. I loved it. We ordered a 12 inch Margherita pizza with italian sausage - also great. I love the charred but soft crust, the fresh tomatoes, fresh mozzarella.... all of it. I do not recommend delivery (just my opinion). Some of the magic to me is when its fresh out of the oven. Anyway.... so glad to have a Grimaldi's finally in Austin. I wish it was closer to Cedar Park/Leander. But this will do nicely. Good service and atmosphere. They are a little pricey, but worth it.

Yelp
Ended up here on a Saturday night at The Domain as it was one of the few (if only) ones with no wait. Ended up working out great because the pizza was great. Props to them as well for offering gluten free options. Our server Samantha was awesome.

Yelp
This is the Austin branch of what it is now an awesome pizza chain with the original taste and quality. I trained for 3 years in the Bronx and learned about the original Grimaldi's from locals and ever since I loved it!!! Probably the best pizza I have ever had! Pepperoni pizza with fresh basil and no more ingredients. Too many topics don't go well with this pizza. It is baked in a brick oven and it is very thin and crunchy, very special tase! I just love it!!! I am super happy they opened in Austin, I used to go to San Antonio for whatever reason just to go to Grimaldi's, now it is right here in the Domain. The caprese salad is also very good! Going back tonight! To break 48h of fasting in a delicious manner!

Yelp
First time eating at Grimaldi's. Easy to find location in the Domaine, with plenty of parking/garage very slight walking distance. Cute place with red & white checkered table cloths, and great decor. Every employee that made contact with me was genuinely kind. Ordered a small Caesar salad, plenty for two of us! The pizza was on point. Would definitely go back for an evening meal. We were there for lunch 12:30ish, not busy at all...

Yelp
I go to Grimaldi's all the time and never had a bad experience. I went there not too long ago for my birthday and got treated amazingly. I would like to shout out the waiter Juan for his excellent service and the kindness in him, he recognized that it was my birthday and brought it up many times which made me feel special. I've had Juan many times before and he is a very hardworking server. It is hard to get a good server nowadays but Juan is always in a good mood with outstanding service!! Food is always amazing too!

Yelp
(4/5) FIRST TAKE - Eating at the domain can become a bit aggravating. Parking to find out there's a 1 hour & 45 minute wait, to now have to find something to do before you can eat is mind numbing, but Grimaldis from what I've experienced gets you seated and fed right away, kinda like if you're visiting you're Italian Uncle Jimmy from Brooklyn. Each table is covered with the classic red and white checkered table cloth, giving it that traditional Italian feel. The staff here is very helpful--we were greeted by the GM, I believe his name was Chase who said he was filling in from San Antonio, but based on our experience, I might even try these guys out next time I'm in SA. FEASTING - My guests and I ordered two salads to start things off. The Caprese was fresh and had the perfect touch of olive oil and pepper. Very fresh basil and the tomatoes were sliced just right. Sometimes they can be to thin which just leaves a runny mess, but these were perfect (3.5/5). The star of the show was the Lemon Arugula salad! Listen, jus do it! It's packed with flavors and if I would have known better, I would have skipped the Caprese and gone with the large Arugula salad to accompany the pizza. But actually, who am I kidding, I need both and so do you (5/5)! Finally, The Don! I added mushrooms and red onions to mine but I think even without the pizza was just fine! The crust was cooked perfectly, a little char but not burnt, and the sauce to topping ratio was outstanding. These guys do it right! (4/5). PRO TIP - The only downfall is these guys only have 3 TVs, so not a great place to watch a game if that's what you're looking for, but if you insist, sit at the seat yourself bar seating. There's a large TV and if you're nice to the bartender, they might even turn the volume on the TV up just a bit for you to here the game!

Yelp
I have tried to eat there FOUR times since they've opened at The Domain. Every time, most of their tables are empty, inside and out on the patio, but they still say it will be at least a 30-minute wait. I'm not waiting that long in a mostly empty restaurant. Not trying again. At this rate they probably won't be there much longer anyway. No restaurant that's paying Domain rent can afford to be constantly 2/3 empty and turning people away.

Yelp
I've always been a fan of NY-style pizza; I especially enjoy it when I'm in NYC.  The last time I was there I read about the Grimaldi's chain on Yelp but I didn't have time to get to one of their locations.  Flashing forward to now, I noticed that Grimaldi's has a location right here in Austin, so I set out to pay them a visit. After consulting our waitress for recommendations, my friend and I decided to share a Calzone and a pizza.  Here's the 411 from our order: - A small (sixteen inch) regular pizza, with pepperoni, sun-dried tomatos, fresh garlic, and Italian sausage. - A personal size calzone with pepperoni and meatballs; apparently all of their Calzones automatically include Ricotta cheese. Let's talk about the best first - the Calzone was the highpoint of our meal.  It's hard to find words to describe exactly how good that ricotta cheese tastes when you take your first full bite.  The dough and the fillings complement each other perfectly, and the additional subtlety and flavor added by the pepperoni and meatballs brought the overall taste profile up several notches. While the Calzone was our favorite, their pizzas are exceptional as well.  Grimaldi's crust is quite a bit thinner than traditional NY style pizza, but it's unquestionably Legit based on it's size, texture, and shape.  The quality of the toppings we tried was all first-class; the cheese was gooey and delicious; I particularly enjoyed how the flavors of our chosen toppings blended together perfectly.  Despite the crust's thinness, it stood up to the additional toppings we chose with fabulously. Summary: Grimaldi's makes some of the best NY-style pizza I've enjoyed anywhere outside of NYC, and their Calzones are simply amazing!  I won't hesitate to return here or try another link in the chain.

Yelp
I visited the Grimaldi's Pizzeria in Allen, TX but it wouldn't come up when I did a search. My friend enjoyed her pizza immensely. Not a place for pescatarian but ok for vegetarian. Service was amazing shout out to Ascension!

Yelp
Cute cafe style pizza restaurant. Service was slow, and it took quite a while to get our pizzas. The pizzas are wonderfully thin crusted. Toppings on the "Don" and the "Garden Pesto" pizzas were tasty. Mojito was disappointing.

Yelp
TL;DR: don't waste your time or money on this particular location whether it's dine-in or delivery. You'll be incredibly disappointed. I very rarely leave one-star reviews. However after my third experience wanting to love Grimaldi's in the domain recently, I can say it's only gotten worse each time. They're severely understaffed at all times, it seems. Nobody even acknowledges people walking in to be seated. I'm not even referring to the small party I was with, but everyone. Hostesses/waitresses walk right past everyone and proceed to serve the seated tables for 15-20 min without so much as a word to those waiting (I get that you're "busy" - maybe 25% of tables have been full every time I've been in, but ok,.. but a quick "we'll be with you as soon as we can" goes a long way - I worked in the service industry for many many years and found it really odd that their staff doesn't even speak to people unless forced to) Don't even think about ordering from Uber eats or DoorDash or any delivery service from here. The pizzas are soggy, cold, stuck to the box, and completely inedible upon delivery. I don't place the blame entirely on the restaurant here, but come on. If you're in a location in the domain where there's zero decent parking and a driver probably has to circle around for 15 min to park and get the order, you'd think the restaurant wouldn't make it and let it sit for 30 min. Anyway, staff 2/10, food, 1/10. Huge disappointment all the way around. And finally, if you've had pizza in New York, literally ever... this ain't it. I wanted to love it so much because I'm a pizza junkie. But this place is so poorly run and the pizza just ends up being so gross and sad recommendations for great NYC style pizza?

Yelp
Quick review for Grimaldi's Pizzeria place today, we thought we might have shown up a bit to early for the pizza over the coal raking cycle, but we got lucky and temp was back up speed for pizza cooking. Check the website and they list the times they can't cook pizzas. Server and staff were very nice, the salad was good, could have used a better mix of the extras for the house salad, but we liked it and the dressing. The Pizza was thin crust, had great flavor and the sauce had a tad bit of spicy and great flavor. The gave us a fair amount of toppings and the copart and I were happy chopping down and people watching from the patio. Now why they didn't have pineapple.. sniff sniff, but oh well pizza can't always be perfect ! Over all very happy with the place and staff !! I would come back again next time I am in the domain area shopping !,

Yelp
While shopping in the area we stopped in for a quick bite to eat. Around 12:30 on a Saturday- there was no wait! The service was good and the food came out fast. It's a cool spot to eat at if you like pizza. The pizza is good, could use just a little more sauce I'd recommend asking for extra if you like a traditional amount of sauce. Overall the food was decent enough and was fast so I would say that it's worth the visit! Located in a main spot of the shopping area so it's conveniently located.
