Food was really good, tried a variety of foods including lamb meatballs, fried polenta/tomato salad, green chili soup, and of course the fried chicken. The chicken was moist, freshly fried, and served with a pickle. While I’d say it’s above average, it’s nothing to hang your hat on. The lamb meatballs were very tasty, but extremely small, and the fried polenta salad had artful presentation with a very small portion. The green chili soup was below average, but I’m not sure what I expected as I know where to get great green chili in Denver. Guess I was curious. Shame on me.
The reason for the lack of stars is that their service is fairly awful, and slow. Plan to spend at least an hour if not longer to eat. While I had no beverages, the cocktail menu was expensive, and their was a modeling selection of beers on tap as well.
Final verdict - if you’re in the mood for fried chicken and a cocktail plus have an hour and a half to kill, this is your spot.
