Recently opened but already making waves, The Greenhouse Café is an all-vegan eatery praised for its inventive use of local ingredients and colorful menu. According to the Las Cruces Bulletin and trusted vegan food blogs, the kitchen excels at plant-based versions of Southwestern and international comfort food. The bright, airy space—with its living plant walls—invites diners to linger over dishes like jackfruit carnitas tacos and cashew cheese-stuffed chiles.

This is my favorite pizza place in all of New Mexico! (And that’s a lot, coming from someone who lives in New York City most of the time) I’ve always really loved this place, and have been going here for a long time. My favorite thing to get is pepperoni pizza, as it is made really well, and always tastes saucy, cheesy and good, especially with its crust. But they have a lot of other good things, like coffee and açaí bowls. Yo should check those out too!

Google
This place is amazing. The ambiance and staff are superb. The food; got an Acai bowl and it was delicious. Also had the Shroom pizza and it's genuinely to die for, exactly how I like it, thin and crispy, the mix of salty prosciutto and their drizzle of sweet jalapeno honey is just the perfect mix. The matcha is also what you want, perfect bitterness and got it half-sweet and it hits the spot. 6 stars.

We tried a light roast pour over coffee for takeout while exploring the town a little bit, which was good. The beans seemed very fresh and of high quality. We came back a little later for Pizza for lunch. We got to enjoy our food on the outside patio. The pizza was absolutely delicious - our 2.5 year old enjoyed it as well. Staff was very friendly. The place itself had a very laid back and relaxing vibe. Really nice to go hang out for a bit or even work/study with a cup of coffee.

Google
Absolutely exceptional first visit while traveling! The coffee and food options were outstanding, matched by the excellent service and vibrant, welcoming atmosphere of the café. If I were local, this would easily be a regular spot for me!

Google
Ordered a seasonal Fresas Con Crema latte and it was delicious. The vibes of this place is relaxing and chill. 🫶🏽

This place is my: Home! Down-to-earth family business Tony, Kendra, James, Mauda, Ivy, Gabriel, Marque, Edd, Nadia, more names to come, (and correct me if I have misspelled any), I appreciate you all! Props to Gino for stocking items. Therapeutic atmosphere, amazing food & drinks, kind environment, I'll add more later. Sooo much to say...

Google
I love this cafe. I got an iced matcha with oat milk. It was wonderful. The vegan matcha cookie was soft and not too sweet. I appreciated that my latte and cookie were served with reusable dish-ware. The cup and plate were both visually pleasing. I love the inviting and inclusive energy of this place. We sat on a couch in there. I love when coffee shops are cozy. The patrons were having conversation, making art, and doing work on laptops. Great community and beautiful layout. Looking around made me smile. Outside is also beautiful. I love the building and the art. There were many vegan options. I got the Vegano pizza. It wasn’t great, but that was the only part I didn’t like. One of my favorite coffee shops I’ve been to. Would definitely visit again.

Google
Employees were very kind. Pizzas were freshly made in a brick oven, thin but not flaky and packed with flavor. They provide different options for coffee than I'm used to, but it works pretty well. Seating area is very open and comfy with plenty of outlets and natural light; a place where you can just chill.

Yelp
Very cool and unique coffee spot. I had an Iced Mazapán Latte and it was very different, but good. The inside was pretty busy and most seating areas were taken. The bathroom was cute and also nicely decorated and clean. Staff was friendly.

Yelp
Such a nice coffee shop and not too far from the I10. We stopped by and quickly found a parking spot across the street. We walked in and we were quickly welcomed in. I ordered an iced matcha with with Mexican vanilla syrup and it was delicious. It was very creamy and just the right amount of sweetness. The inside was clean and spacious. It was pretty busy so all the spots with the cute murals / seats were taken. Employees were friendly and the drink was good, I would so come back!

Yelp
Shroom Pizza was amazing! Larger portion than expected. Lots of niche crew and tea options. Great vibe, music, and service!

Yelp
Atmosphere is welcoming, staff is friendly, place is open and comfy looking. Looks like a nice place to do homework in. But the food was just extremely disappointing IMO. I ordered a single pepperoni pizza, that's it. This place has a brick oven so I had high hopes. Pie was soggy and floppy toward the center, sauce tasted like hotdogs (not in a good way), crust and cheese were disappointing. Had to visit Zeffiro's around the corner a few days later to remind myself Las Cruces actually does have good brick oven pizza on Main Street lol... this place probably does have good items on the menu, however I didn't give any of the teas or coffee a try but they looked good. Stars in this review are mainly due to the atmosphere, couldn't finish the pizza.

Yelp
I was visiting town for a work trip and wanted to get a Matcha latte before I headed back to El Paso to catch a flight. This place was close by so I got a drink there as well as an Horchata overnight oats. Amazing please check out the spot plenty of seating indoors great vibes and they also serve savory items, including pizza and salads. The servers are also really sweet and greeted me with a smile and answered all of my questions.

Yelp
Visiting from Albuquerque, this was the cutest coffee shop find and totally a place I'd be spending lots of time if I lived in the area. It is located in the downtown area and we came during the farmers market time so it was pretty poppin. I really like the vibe and their marketing is super cute. I was really surprised by their menu offerings, including the selection of food. They had everything from bowls to pizza. We didn't try any food, but I did really enjoy my latte. Staff was really friendly and they had some cute swag, including a T-shirt I bought.
google avatar

Andy B.

Yelp
I'm not a trendy man bun vegan type, but Grounded makes a great cup of coffee or teas of many types. Decent vegetarian offerings too (haven't tried other choices) I do enjoy the ambience and the nice people who work here. I've only been once, but I'll come again. Thanks to the very tolerant staff who didn't roll their eyes when I just wanted a good cup of coffee and no foufou extras

Yelp
This place is soooooo cute!! It is spacious and a multi-purpose place with yummy drinks and bites. I got a cortado to go as well we're stopping by on our way to the farmers market right outside. The service was super quick and really nice. The vibes are super good and the cute space made me want to stay and hang around even though we had to leave. Will definitely be back for more and to try their yummy smelling pizzas!

Yelp
Came in before work for a chai. This is my second visit no my third visit. Child took 15 minutes and three people after me got their orders before me. I'm now late to work. It wasn't a priority to get my mine. Stopping in before we're coping that there would be some expediency at a local Mom pop shop. Not sure why I got my order after three other people be after me, but I probably won't be back.

Yelp
Great place to chill and enjoy a cup of joe. The friendliness of the place can be felt from the moment you step in. We dropped by to get a coffee to go, and it was delicious. I ordered a Mexican Vanilla latte and when it was ready, they called for my name shortly after my order. Plant based , but still better than I expected. You too, will be surprised... less so, now because I told you. The vibe again was the coolest thing. Some folks were working off the free wifi. Some folks were just hanging out and conversing. They have books to read, if you want. I felt no pressure to leave there, but we were on the go. It was bigger than your typical coffee shop. It comes as no surprise that they have live music. I would stop by again...

Yelp
Biiiig fan of the Brussel sprouts and lavender coffee (yes I got the same flavor again). Coffee is very strong and can't wait to try some more entrees here. Everyone is super friendly too, more of a neighborhood than city vibe which is great.

Polly M.

Yelp
Just eat there with my family, every thing is so tasty . Good for adults and kids We were sitting outside and it felt like we're in vacation!

Judy W.

Yelp
Funky coffee cafe with large selection of drinks. Lots of space and friendly staff. Mostly shaded patio.

Yelp
We go through Las Cruces on trips several times a year and looked for something different this time. Grounded is a cute, clean restaurant with iced / hot coffee, açaí bowls, shareable appetizers, pizza, and a few other entrees. A free public parking lot is behind the shop, which was helpful since the street was closed for a street fair the day we came through. The shop was super busy that day, but we had no wait to place our order at the counter and found a seat quickly. My iced cinnamon oat milk latte came up right away, and the açaí bowl wasn't far behind. I was almost done with both when my partner's jackfruit bowl came up. My latte was good, and the açaí bowl was too though I would have them skip the honey drizzle next time as it made it too sweet for me. I tried the tortilla chips that came with my partner's dish, and they were fresh, crispy, and quite good. He said the jackfruit had some heat, but not much depth of flavor. We definitely will stop here again and try other menu items.
google avatar

Catherine B.

Yelp
What a great place! I love the açaí bowls! As a child of the 60's, I love the hippie vibe I got from this place!
google avatar

Elizabeth R.

Yelp
Great southwest vibe! Loved the location on one of the main treats from las Cruzes plaza. There were many folks meeting a friend or there to study-work. They have a nice adobe oven for pizzas. My husband and I got a latte with Mexican Vanilla. It was delicious. He was surprised that it contained no dairy milk. I enjoyed it very much. The staff greeted us coming in making us feel welcomed.

Yelp
The service is warm and friendly and knowledgeable. For a very good cup of coffee or tea and fresh baked gluten free pastries you will need to make sure you come in and checkout grounded and Kendra and her crew! Sit inside or out it's a nice spot to kick up your feet.

Yelp
Was traveling through and looking for a late night bite. Grounded delivered and it was so good we came back in the morning for coffee and breakfast. That might have even been better!! If I was local, this would be one of my go-to spots. The breakfast bagel spread is incredible (I got mine with chicken; partner loved his with their lox). The coffee is outrageous - homemade syrups that are flavorful and interesting without being overly sweet. Self-serve. Order at the counter, grab your food when your name is called, and bus your own table when you're done.
google avatar

Vina R.

Yelp
Looked up top coffee places in Cruces and I see why Grounded was at the top of all lists. The summer drink menu had some tasty options, but I opted for the orange cinnamon latte with oat milk. Did not disappoint! Loved it! They make some of their syrups in house which I think makes all the difference. Next time I plan to try the lovely lavender as that syrup is made in house. The food looked good, but didn't order as I only came for coffee. Place has a nice social vibe with AC (weekend I was there was extra hot).
google avatar

Marie T.

Yelp
Went to enjoy music on the patio and it was really packed - we sat inside and it was pleasant. We shared a pizza, nachos, and a salad. VERY good in taste and ingredients on the pizza. Restaurant was clean and dim which created a really nice atmosphere. Bathrooms need attention more frequently as it's used quite a bit by the patrons on the dining room and patio. Not sure if there is another bathroom but the one between the patio and dining area often have a line which goes fast - ***Soap and paper towels were not accessible after they ran out. Staff was really busy and during our time it was never restocked (after informing front counter) so we went to a nearby place and returned to listen to the music on the patio.

Yelp
Amazing spot! My mother and I came here on a trip to White Sands. I love matcha and she loves acai bowls and luckily we were able to find both in one place. The cafe space is genuinely one of the cutest I've ever seen. The service is amazing (cashier and cooks are so kind and welcoming) and we loved everything we ordered. I got toast off the breakfast menu with green hummus and microgreens and radish and it was INCREDIBLE. If we are ever back in Las Cruces, we will be back to Grounded.

Yelp
Met up with a few friends on a Saturday morning. With the Farmer's market going on outside I'd expected it to be much busier, but thankfully it wasn't. I was not aware that all their drinks are plant based which caused some hesitation on my part. I asked for a drink recommendation keeping in mind I do not like sweetened coffee drinks. An almond milk latte won the recommendation - and it was sweetened :-( The overall taste however was alright - it's not something I'd be rushing to have again, but I can tell some people would love it. The space is actually very cute. There is a step to enter off of main street, so it was a team effort bringing our baby's stroller in. The art is very nice and they have a lot of indoor plants - not my favorite (I personally do not like indoor plants) but here, they make for a very pleasant aesthetic. You don't have to sit under the plants if you don't want to. They also have an interesting selection of books if you went there without reading material. I honestly thing the pricing is on the high end (basic pastries $5+, small piece of avo toast $6+). My latte was over $5 for a small cup - the cover was pretty, but I was not excited about the cost of it. I mean for as much as it has been hyped up by people I know, outside of the beautiful art on the inside, it was really just OK for me.

Yelp
The açaí bowls were amazing. The best I've ever had!! And the coconut cream cold crew was sooo good

Yelp
I've been here at least 10 times so this is based on cumulative experience not just one visit. First let me say the food here has always been good, but the place has enough other problems that I won't be going back, at least not for awhile. The beer is always warm. The coffee lukewarm . There is no dairy available for the coffee or tea. Which is odd for a supposed coffee place. The biggest problem though is their service model which has the customer very inconveniently doing all of the work. We stopped by for breakfast recently and we both got bagels. It was a cool enough so we were sitting out in the courtyard. When our name was called I went to the pickup counter and beheld our bagels sitting precariously on two narrow plastic paddles. I was informed about the plates and forks and silverware in front of me as I contemplated how I was going to get our food, plus our drinks ( sitting without saucers on the drink pickup counter on my left) plus the aforementioned plates, napkins and silverware with these two silly paddles as my only means of conveyance .To her credit an employee offered to "follow me" with part of our order as I stood there in bewilderment . Instead I went and got my wife and we somehow loaded everything we needed. We get to the door and realized it only opens in not out to the patio. I have to put my load down on a nearby table, open the door so that my wife can stand in front of it and prop it open. When we get to the table which is way too small fo these long paddle thingies, I just want to shout loud enough for someone in "management" to hear "WOULD IT BE TOO MUCH TO BUY A COUPLE DOZEN TRAYS FOR THE CONVENIENCE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS?!!" Maybe they like having us get our exercise, or maybe it's just a lame joke that they never get tired of. Either way I'm done. I wanted to just leave all the stuff on the table out of resentment , but we bussed it ourselves ( which is the expectation) like the good workers we are and left.

Yelp
Such a cute a cute place with tons of ambiance. You feel so relaxed walking in here . I love the vibe . The workers are all so kind & friendly . It is located in downtown part of Los Cruces just down from the college. We got the Earl Grey tea with orange they serve it hot but I got some ice to pour it over . My daughter got the Orange cinnamon Latte this is served in a cool thick glass. She loved it . We also got the green humus with sour dough pita chips. This was amazing . We got the pretzel bites with house made queso. These were very filling & dense . They are cooked in the wood fire oven. Very good . They also make wood fired pizzas that look amazing. If you get a chance make sure to come here you will love it

Yelp
What a great experience. Coffee Pizza Açaí Bowl Vibes Staff We will return when we are back in the area! Thank you Grounded :)

Yelp
What a great place! Going through town on our way to Tucson in the middle of a sandstorm and we needed to stop because interstate 10 was closed. The atmosphere is great. The pizza was wonderful and the staff friendly. If I lived here I would be a regular customer!!!

John A.

Yelp
- Pizza (Shroom with red chili honey) was incredible! - Service fantastic! - Quiet, quaint and quintessential pizza! - Oh...and the Orange Cinnamon Iced Latte was perfect. Try it!

Yelp
Although we didn't get the opportunity to eat in the space, I got a peak of it when I picked up our order and I gotta say, it's super super cute. Such a vibe. The service was quick and great. I left my card and they were so awesome about letting me pick it up after hours. Pizza was fantastic! We order three different ones, asking for no cheese on two so we could get them vegan friendly. Plenty of vegan friendly options by the way. Would totally eat here again! We were visiting from Tucson

Yelp
What a cute hip style Vegan cafe/pizzeria & wine shop here in town center Las Cruces. It's very busy and we had to wait a little while for our coffee, but it was worth the wait. I had a lavender coffee with oat milk. It was delicious. I refrained from the pasteries which were displayed on the countertop. but it was difficult. Lots and lots of people here, some eating pizzas, some drinking wine. Cool spot. The staff were super nice and friendly and when I asked for whole milk, they informed me that they are vegan only. Which is fine by me. I had the oat milk and it was delicious. I strongly recommend this delicious coffee shop if you are in Las Cruces. The coffee is really really good. Edit: Returned tonight for Pizza & wine. We got the Shroom Pizza & Merlot. Both were exquisite..,

Yelp
Haven't had food or drinks I didn't like! Great prices and definitely a really nice place to just relax. Really relaxed and friendly staff.
google avatar

Yelp
En route to Austin, we stayed overnight in Las Cruses. It's pretty chilly here in the morning so I opted to grab a coffee and check out this adorable spot. Staff is super friendly and the interior is SO cute. I ordered an Oat milk latte with their house made Mexican vanilla syrup, very tasty. This seems like the perfect place to enjoy a beverage and read a book, workspace, or study spot. Unfortunately I didn't have time to hang out, just grab my coffee and some photos. My favorite things that lend to the chill vibe are the hanging plants, mural, and furniture.
google avatar

Herp D.

Yelp
AMAZING! The whole experience. You must go here! This is the best coffee shop I've been to. The service, vibe, creative coffee drinks, foods, alcohol, and retail are all amazing. Very interesting concept!
google avatar

Vanessa B.

Yelp
A very large selection of coffees AND food. Both the food and coffee was outstanding and very well balanced. This is definitely one of the cutest coffee shops I've been to and if I wasn't traveling through, I'd make myself a regular. 12/10 recommend!! As for the coffee (coming from a coffee shop owner) this was the best, most unique flavor I've experienced from another coffee shop. The homemade syrup was perfectly flavored and the espresso was strong . Thank you for bringing unique flavors and high quality together!!

Gabriel F.

Yelp
Food was great. The service and ambiance of the location was nice. prices were a tad high for only three items. Would go again

James Y.

Yelp
Very nice place to sit and hang out. Great coffee and the acai bowl was wonderful. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Brian F.

Yelp
Maybe offer whole milk in your coffee. Don't say you're plant based when you offer meat and fish on your menu, which are really good by the way. Stop pretending to be vegan but only for liquids.
google avatar

Valentina L.

Yelp
Fun colorful place with lots of options ranging from coffee items to pizza which looked really good. It's kind of a combo of a restaurant and a hang out.
google avatar

Vivian H.

Yelp
After the farmers market, we slipped in here for brunch since my sibling raved about this place. It's so pretty and such a beautiful atmosphere with the friendliest workers. There is a bunch of seating inside and outside, with benches/chairs/couches/sofas etc. You can tell that people come here for the energy -- whether that's doing some work, reading, or just hanging out with their peers. We ordered the coco acai bowl to share on this hot day. It was delicious and refreshing, the coconut hardened into a shell which melted in your mouth. Towards the end, there was a huge hardened section of coconut oil at the bottom of the bowl. Unfortunately, once it's hardened in a huge block, you can't really eat it or scoop it. We also got the vegano pizza to share with arugula on top. The vegan ranch tasted phenomenal, it had a great flavor and zesty seasoning. The pizza itself was fluffy and easy to eat. Our orders came out fairly fast and we ate it just as quick. The pizza was so delicious that we demolished it in less than ten minutes. I like how they gave us reusable dish-ware that fit the vibes of this place, they were colorful and unique. They have a section where you leave your dishes after you're finished eating. I understand why this place is so loved!! Would come back again.
google avatar

Ryan P.

Yelp
While this spot is a cool atmosphere and has a lot to offer aesthetically, I cannot get past the $7 iced coffee that is literally the size of half a cup and mostly iced. They also don't carry regular diary products--so I was then forever to choose between almond, macadamia, or oat milk. Which they CHARGE you for. Absolutely ridiculous
google avatar

Arthur S.

Yelp
Lovely cafe, I have gone here many times and the ambiance is always the absolute best. Out of all the cafes in El Paso and Las Cruces this is my absolute favorite. They have a lot of food options for vegetarians but I am not too sure it would be perfect for picky eaters. I adore it nontheless. Free Wifi, large patio, and there's a lot of activities and shops to look around in, within the 'Hacienda' style patio.

Lucas S.

Yelp
Went to the farmers market on Saturday while visiting family during the week. We did not expect to find this gem! Cool place and great drinks.
google avatar

Peg D.

Yelp
Really good coffee and interesting pastries--empanadas are yummy. Nice atmosphere and the pizza looks great, but I haven't tried it yet. There's also a nice seating area outside in the back.

Yelp
Orange cinnamon latte With 2 shots of ___ ... Very tassty ... no issue there. My only concern was that the tower of açaí... concerning for who had the skill to create a masterpiece... I ordered it because the couple after us walked by with two açaí bowls. Only reason I ordered is that antioxidants are great for the soul. Pepperoni pizza is paper thin with the right amount of cheese blend in with the right amount of crust . I would recommend the pizza. My brother approves. Great place for tourists to come take pictures and to enjoy music for guests on fridays after 6:30. 100/100
google avatar

Yelp
Great food great staff/environment. Good coffee and tea. Great pizza (marg esp) Nice place to relax and hangout.
google avatar

D. T.

Yelp
I went there for the first time and ordered a pour over coffee, which was listed on the menu for $4. When I ordered, I was asked if I wanted light or medium roast and I chose light. I was charged $5 for the coffee, but didn't notice the difference in price until after I paid. I asked why the coffee was a dollar more than listed on the menu. The barista said that it was because I asked for light roast. I was not informed that there would be an additional charge for choosing light. I told her that this additional charge should be listed on the menu so that it is clear what people are paying for. Aside from this, the cost of $4 for a pour over coffee whose flavor was nothing extraordinary was a bit expensive considering that I pay about the same for the same in the Seattle area where minimum wage is $16.28 per hour and the coffee and ambiance is generally about the same.
google avatar

Ed L.

Yelp
Good place. It would be nice to have cream for coffee . I take my own when I go there.

CM B.

Yelp
The menu at Grounded is limited but good quality, fine for our tastes. We especially like their custom crisp, thin pizza and their seasonal salads. The bakery goods are modest but good, and the specials are unique and very good. This big place offers a variety of well lit seating , inside and outside, for all kinds of taste. Pleasant staff!

Yelp
We are so glad we tried this restaurant before leaving town! The "Shroom" pizza was soooo very good! And the pastries we took home-oh, my! Don't miss this one!
