One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! We were greeted by the friendly staff who were expecting us based on our reservation time. Everyone was extremely helpful in providing recommendations and answering our questions. The food and wine were phenomenal!!! Everything was flavorful and the taste lived up to the beautiful presentation. Highly recommend for a date night or group dinner!

Fantastical gastronomical experience, in a really cozy place, everything since the entries to the main dishes was an adventure of flavours, colours and textures like hardly other. They gave us some "brigadeiro" as a gift that was just the star of the night. Service is helpful and polite, capable of speaking several languages and making the reservation was fairly easy too. Can't recommend enough

Incredible restaurant we were lucky to stumble upon. They were so gracious to take us without a reservation before it got busy. My friend is vegan and they accommodated her with the most delicious options. The staff was so warm and friendly - what a gem!

The ambiance is very cute and well done. Interesting menu. All of the dishes we ordered were good. Portions were small especially considering the price. One of the more expensive meals we’ve had. Service was alright - could have def been more attentive. Took awhile to get our bill after asking. Would’ve ordered another drink if they had asked. A nice spot but not a necessary stop while in Porto.

I came here with my boyfriend as one of our first michelin star restaurant experiences. I knew we were going to get good food but it surpassed our expectations. The entrance to the restaurant is gorgeous with cobblestone, the server greets you with warmth. My boyfriend and I couldn't get over how well they decorated their restaurant, fun twist that their bathroom was hiding behind the mirror walls. As for the food, the starters were mind-blowing. The tapenades, fish clouds and langoustine were all textures and flavors I haven't had before. The mains were still delicious and great, but in comparison, we agreed the appetizers were more of a standout. Overall, really pleased with our experience and we would love to come back one day. Get their desserts, they're delicious! (Especially the chocolate mousse)

Loved the atmosphere, and recommend the food if you’re into seafood. Honestly such a good find and amazing quality and experience for the price point (seems pretty on par to a Michelin dining experience to me). The couvert starter is definitely recommended and the sea rice is good, especially if you like seafood in general. Staff was super hospitable as well. Do come for an affordable fine dining experience (and check out the room behind the mirror wall it’s rly nice in there 😻)

Had an amazing experience here! Great service plus staff speak English perfectly. Food quality is excellent. Catch of the day, codfish croquetes were delish as well as wine 🍷Probably I had high expectations, but food wasn't really that special, hence four stars. Could be busy, would recommend to book in advance.

Would highly recommend visiting Gruta. Everything was lovely - the food, service, decor. And very reasonably priced. Also great for solo travelers - the servers were l attentive and so friendly!
