"The labor-intensive coconut choka makes it a hard find (even in Little Guyana), but GT Rice Bowl, one of the few sit-down table-service restaurants in the area, has been dishing it out since opening its doors 20 years ago. A de-husked coconut is fire-roasted then finely ground and mixed with onions, garlic ,and hot peppers for a kick. Very disappointed bough this from GT Rice bowl took it to work to eat when I open it I found a long hair in it omg 😱 I know we all make mistake but when I call the business at 4:21 pm Monday a very rude women pick the phone up when I ask to speak to the manager she said he not here nobody is not here and hang the phone up I call again and said to her u don’t need to speak customer like she said “wah u want me to do” and hand the phone again. This is not good

Found in a little corner of Liberty Avenue, this spot is great for West Indian/ Caribbean foods. Food was very tasty, hot wings could’ve been better though. Pepper shrimp and duck was my favourite. The professionalism of the staff was very surprising. With customers in the restaurant, the waitresses were all cooped up in a corner table chatting away as if they’re the customers. Did not look good at all for the business. Needs improvement on that area.

Had such a great dinner at Rice Bowl yesterday! Monica, our waiter was kind and attentive. We always come for the calamari, jerk pork, and garlic chicken fried rice, this time had veggie lo mein and roast lamb as well. The atmosphere can be hit or miss - sometimes its more of a bar scene and can get loud. Yesterday, however, it was comfortably ambient. Consistently good food, excellent service, and unique flavor makes this a must every time I'm in town.

Absolutely stunning atmosphere, the tables were gorgeous. The food I ordered was quick to come out and delicious. Was not able to split the bill, don't even care.

Had dinner with family. This place is definitely not for family, first of the music is way too loud & not suitable for young kids. Some guest at the restaurant were cursing. As far as the food, stay away from the grilled shrimp. It was literally raw shrimps microwaved & they toss some garlic on top or it. The price for The food & drinks were not worth the price. They’re definitely more expensive than other local Venues. I would not recommend & would not return.

Guyanese Chicken fried rice without bora??? What a disappointment! If you are trying to Cut corners you will lose customers in an area saturated with West Indian cuisine.
