Yelp
hey now! This place was awesome!
It's not fancy or ambient, but a true Mexican joint with lots of Spanish being spoken, Mexican music playing, and GREAT Mexican food.
Not all the servers speak English well, so it's good to be very clear when. you are putting your order in. We had a little problem with the number of tacos being different from what we had ordered.
Chimichanga - pretty much a fried burrito. DE-licious. We had the al pastor meat for this.
Burrito - the menu shows the picture of a very small burrito, so we thought we were getting like a Taco Bell burrito... but it was surprisingly bigger and fatter than what they had pictured. It was quite good and very filling.
Tacos - the "steak" is more like ground beef, that is just seasoned with salt and pepper. Their "ground beef" is the same cut of meat, but seasoned in a heavier, spicier sauce. Al Pastor was classic delicious.
They do tend to sear their meat. This is great for bigger chunks of meat, like al pastor, but the the "steak" it made it somewhat dry. Next time, I'll stick with al pastor for the tacos. And a chicmichanga.
It's been a few days and looking at the pictures, I'm salivating and craving some more. No wonder the place was pretty much packed at 2pm on a weekday.
