Guanatos Tacos

It is actual food that is made to order, in a drive-thru! I would put it up there with Jimmy Dean's as a place that has fresh food with real ingredients and a drive-thru. It did not really take that long and it was good food. If I had to complain I would say that the price was a little high for what it was, but it was good food. It is kind of easy to drive by because even if it's a big building the shopping center is a bit obscure. There is definitely handicap accessible stuff, I'm not sure about vegetarian or vegan options because a lot of times beans can be made with meat or something. But you can definitely find something healthy. And you can definitely keep your keto diet. It has a pretty good menu. They stick to Mexican food which is nice, they are not trying to have a menu that is a jack of all trades. They also offer about 10 kinds of burritos and tacos and nachos and everything else that's Mexican food.

I went here cause they have been given some great reviews. It was very disappointing. I got the Cabeza Taco Rojos and a normal Al Pastor Taco. They were average at best. Nothing real special about it. Honestly, if i were craving tacos and this was one of the inly places open, i would just go without.

For a Taco Tuesday their street tacos are pretty good with a really good deal, at a $1 each. I got all three options (chicken, beef, and al pastor) for my order. Chicken: Seasoned well and tender. Beef: A bit greasy but tasted good. Al Pastor: There is a kick, but not too spicy. This time around I took advantage of the drive-thru which I was amazed flowed fairly quickly. Pros: Price, Speed of Service, Drive-thru Cons: Beef was a bit greasy

Decided to try the asada fries. Order thru the drive thru & asked the guy if they come with pico de gallo he said yes comes with everything on it, I said yes everything on it. Come to realise they only add onion & cilantro. They need to add pico de gallo it would taste alot better.

This is our second time here. Line was not too bad this time, it took about 15 minutes to get our order. The lady taking our order was very patient and helpful, great customer service. Red tacos needed a bit more sauce. Overall food is good and the salsas are spicy. Double check your order sometimes they forget to give you everything.

Guanatos Tacos offers an amazing Mexican dining experience with a standout in birria and consome. The red tacos with birria and carne asada were both excellent, and the birria quesadilla was a delicious surprise. While dining in provides a great experience, the drive-through can be time-consuming, so plan accordingly. Take advantage of Taco Tuesday for $1.25 chicken and al pastor tacos – the chicken, dipped in leftover consome, is a must-try. The prices are a bit high, but the quality of the food makes it worthwhile.

This place is just ok. I don’t think it is worth the pricing. I have had better for less. I guess it depends on what you are used to. I paid almost $30 for 4 pieces of birria quesadilla, guacamole and a coke. I don’t mind paying for good food. But like I said, I have had better for less. Customer service is ok. Just in and out type of treatment. Don’t expect a smile. Not bad just not great.

Taco Tuesday are bad here. The tacos hardly have any meat on them and the choices of meats are limited I ate three tacos and left hungry. They cost $1.50 should be cost $.25. I rather go to Las Delicias which is close by. $2 for taco Tuesday, they don't limit your choices on meats and they serve regular size tacos Not like these cheap skates

Food was delicious service was impeccable I definable recommend come here for any day of the week as they have awesome staff and an awesome community

This place is ok. I went inside and ordered four tacos for Taco Tuesday. The tacos have a lot of meat in them but the pieces are cut too big for my liking. Also, the Al Pastor tacos are different and not as good as other taco spots.

Very mid establishment. The prices are elevated, and the portions are small - I finished the large asada fries on my own, and at $15, I expected to have leftovers. They got my order wrong; I asked for al pastor but received asada instead. The fries were soggy and greasy, and the three salsas lacked spice, although it was creative that they came in sealed baggies. This used to be the old foster's freeze and there's indoor seating along with a drive thru, but the indoor seemed to be buzzing with clientele. The drive-thru took 15 minutes, despite me being the only customer. The restaurant hit the trifecta of "okay food, slow service, and elevated prices". But, I guess it's a decent spot if you have time to spare and don't want to drive down to the valley for better Mexican food.

Food was very good and fresh. Service was good as food came out quickly. The ambiance was nice as the restaurant was clean and maintained.

I heard great things about this place, so i decided to give it a shot. The tacos were good portions, and prices were good. First time trying birria and had some good flavors.

The Horchata is disgusting. It tastes like tap water. Actually it tastes worse.. immediately into the trash can. I don't think I can express how bad this was. Edit: I thought it was only the horchata but I just had the tacos as well and they were hard to get through. Extremely mediocre quality. Three tacos and a drink cost $22. Really bad. Go to El Pato.

I've been here a handful of times and don't know why I keep returning, the food is okay. I have always used the drive thru, but the down fall of this is that. ..It takes them about 20-30 min every time. The longest wait in drive thru history , no sense of urgency and the customer service is non existent.

Went to drive thru and ordered hardshell shredded beef tacos and steak burrito and they were both delicious!!! The price was costed more than expected but it was worth it. Customer service was good and the wait was less than 10 minutes. All come back again soon!

The food was tasty and the service was great. The place is nice and clean. All and all, this a place to go and my wife loves the Berra tacos.

The service here is lackiinngggg; I understand being busy but if you are going to charge $1.50 for a habanero and some pickled Onions there better be both the habanero and the pickled onion in my bag... as for that however the taste of the food does make up for it super tasty and they do fill your tacos up a lot so it's not just regular street tacos. DONT GET THE JAMAICA also Don't come here expecting to go quickly through the drive thru, it is not fast food people so have patience, inside looked packed too. Price wise I would treat this like a restaurant you come to occasionally, pretty expensive to have this type of drive thru food every day. Most likely will be coming back because of how yummy the food is, and it is unique for SCV to have this type of drive thru which I really like! Overall an okay place.

Well, let's be honest. This is not my typical go to spot. But I had a short amount of time to kill in this neighborhood with my son and he was hungry. My wife had raved about the reputation of this place so we gave it a shot. We came in on a weekday, Monday afternoon, I think. Not too busy, there was a few people in line. I didn't really know what to order so I figured I'd keep it simple (stupid, haha). The menu was a bit confusing to me but I ordered a few tacos and a drink. We sat down, waited for them to call me for the food order. We got the food quickly, which was good. I remember the tacos being ok tasting. It hit the spot but maybe its because I was hungry. But what stood out to me was the fact that they got our drink order wrong. Like, what? The drink order is the easiest part....smh. We didn't have time to complain about it so luckily my son just dealt with it, which I'm very proud of him by the way. Seeing as how my wife really wants to try this place, I'm sure I'll be back. But it'll probably be with her.

Went through the drive thru and it was definitely slow moving but it was super crowded inside too. What a popular place for having such low stars on Yelp! -lengua taco: My favorite! It was on a handmade tortilla. -carne asada taco: Not a fan. Meat was crumbly and lacking in the flavor dept. -al pastor taco: Meh! -cabeza taco: Yum! 2nd favorite! -birria taco: Good! It might be a bit too heavy for me, but this is also my 1st birria taco so I'm not sure what the standard is. The salsas are pretty good and spicy here, and I like that they include grilled onions for their tacos...yum! My friend says the breakfast burrito is tasty so one of these days, when I'm not lazy, I will make my way out here for breakfast!

We love the food here! It's amazing! The workers are very nice and the place is very clean. You can even pay a little extra and have them make homemade tortillas for you. Totally recommend

Amazing food and service! I had the shrimp quesadilla and it was super delicious. My family fell in love with the Birria quesadillas. It's in a good location with seating options but I love the drive thru option. One day they even gave my mom a sweet little gift! The place is great and all the food is amazing.

I've been coming here since they've opened some of the best tacos in town I definitely recommend the red taco

This is comfort food! The red carne asada tacos and birria ramen are delicious! I love dipping my tacos in the birria ramen! A nice pair if you want consume but still want more food! More on the pricier end $$$ of tacos but it's because the taste and work they put in are amazing

One of the best stops in SCV for quesabirria tacos, but they need to get their drive thru in order. This place always has a long line for the drive thru, and it's usually pretty slow. You would think that at the pace the drive thru goes, at least your order would be right. WRONG. I've been here twice, and both times my order has been missing things. I ordered three quesabirria tacos last Saturday night. I got home, and I only had 2 tacos and was missing the consomme. You better believe I drove back in the rain to get my other taco. The fact that I was hungry and it was raining - not a cute combo. To be fair, the food is good. This restaurant is not new, so there really is no excuse for the consistent order mess ups in the drive thru.

This is just one of the many complaints .. So 5 bucks for a "shrimp" taco huh ? Over priced food at its finest

If you're coming here be prepared for a super long wait time, rude and unprofessional staff. Tacos are good, decent but not worth the time and the attitude from their employees. Stay away from this place.

2-7-24 1st time here so i didnt want to try some different things on the menu just yet. So i got 3 asada street tacos. A good mexican restaurant or latina restaurant it all boils down to the meat. You can tell if its cheap bad meat too chewy too much hard fat on the meat that wasnt trimmed etc.....its all in the meat. And their asada is great in taste and texture not chewy and no hard fat attached. I will be back for more tacos.

I mean, not a place that has healthy options haha, but damn, the Quesabirria tacos are the bomb! I've had them other places of course but these are my favorite. You gotta try them. I got my mom addicted too. She's helplessly hooked. The other tacos are good but I always get quesabirria, it's why I go. Provecho!

We used to love eating here. But now the quality and the taste is really worse. We just gave it another try NO GOOD!!!! it seems like everyone wanted to go home, so they prepared our food like whatever carne asada burned, fries super salty, carnitas super dried. We won't eat it again.

The last 4 times I went they got my order wrong. Very disappointing. They will repeat it correctly at the drive thru, at the window as well, and still give you the wrong food. Just open everything up before you drive off, other than that it's pretty good.

This was honestly the worst birria place ever lol. This is not birria is shredded beef with no flavor save the time and don't come here unless you like non authentic Mexican birria!!! The salsa is literally tabasco sauce

It is hard to believe that people pay such high prices for such bad food. The most expensive thing on the menu is the taco deal. $1.25 per taco and it takes four of those micro tacos to make a regular taco. That means you're paying $5 a taco. The average Mexican would have to try very hard to make such bad food. This is truly unbelievable since they claim to be from Guadalajara. I'm probably never going back again. I just don't see how I could give them another chance. It should really be a crime to sell food that is this bad.

Came here after going rock climbing. Was very good, was pleasantly impressed by the quality of food. The vibe of the restaurant was great, and all the employees were very happy to be there. It really hit the spot, and filled up on some delish food, thank you .

OMG the best. So full of flavor. Had dinner one night with the asada fries. Went back next day for the same order for breakfast. Generous portion. Every bite had flavor. I'd give more stars if I could. Fast service. Clean restaurant. I had taken the order from the second day and shared it with my dad and my sister and they also fell in love. My sister is on a diet and tends to stay away from delicious food like this, but she could not stop shoving her face.

Banging but disappointed in the soggy cilantro and onion... I'd rather them not mix it in the food if it's not fresh

i freaking love this place so much!! the birria is delicious. i literally think about it every single day. eat at guanatos!!

Always drove by this place and noticed the drive thru line was always long. We finally decided to give them a try and we were not disappointed. We didn't know how big the tacos were so we ordered 6 and a birria ramen. Let me tell you the tortillas were hand made. Tacos are loaded with meat. The flavor is exceptional. Beverage choices were great too. True authentic sodas (sangria). You will really get the Mexican taco experience. Can't wait to go back and take my parents to try them out.

The branch manager definitely needs to have a customer service class. After ordering over the phone I arrived to pick up lunch for the office . When I asked the branch manager to go over the order he rolled his eyes and didn't take my food out of the bags he just looked at the receipt. When i arrived back at work one of orders was missing which is frustrating enough when i asked them to go over it before i left . I called the restaurant and asked for the missing order as well as a refund for the tacos that were missing because i had asked him to go over it and he refused ,which i was told sure. When i returned back to the restaurant i was told i either get the money or the food , which wasn't what i was originally told. The branch manager started to argue with me that there was no missing food . That he packed it himself.. like i asked you to check and you didn't now I'm back ans having you fix your mistake. These were the tacos i recieved.. literally no meat at all. I will not be eating here any more and will not recommend any one. This is not the first time taco orders have been messed up when we order and have had to go back. It's a simple step to check like especially when the customer is asking you to check just front of them.

Great quality consistently bomb burritos, tacos, and quesadillas. Try any of the birria items. My personal favorite is the bomba burrito with carne asada and al pastor. Super nice staff and super close to my work. Guanatos :) Also very nice atmosphere inside the rester-aunt.

I wanted to like it, but it's sooooo bland. Bland and greasy. We've been there a few times. Service is slower than a line at the DMV. Went through the drive through yesterday and waited 20 minutes for a small order. Also- what's the deal with a $5 taco around here?! Just bad. We're done.

Very sweet and easy to order !!!! will come again !!!! The tacos are soooo good with the consomé and the horchata is bomb I recommend.

One of my favorite places to eat. I really love their Bamba burrito and their birria tacos. Marcos is on it when it comes to the orders, my husband is picky and always gets the orders right which isn't the case at many places. Marcos and Ale are very hospitable and nice. Great customer service. I definitely recommend Guanatos tacos.

Elmer helped us out , great service to complement even better food ! I just flew into LA from Guadalajara so to find this gem was amazing! Brought me right back to Mexico! I had the red shrimp quesadilla which is like a shrimp quesadilla with birria consomé flavors and dip! So good I will definitely be back

I do 't know why I let my husband convince me to get food here. Everytime this happens. Chunks of hard Cartilage in tacos enough to break a tooth. Just imagine swallowing these chunks of Cartilage. The thought makes me want to vomit. I had 3 tacos I had to pick through. Lost my appetite. This place sucks.

Ehhhh.. it's just ok. If you are really wanting Birria and Consume tacos and can't get to LA or the valley. They really need to make the shells hard because they fall apart half way through eating the taco. Flavor is ok. The quesadilla was better tasting to me. They do give huge portions but they are so expensive. There are no plates with rice and beans, everything is separate. I give this place another year if they are lucky. I find it funny how the manager pushes you to wear a mask when ordering through the plexiglass barrier, yet sits at a booth with other employees maskless to have conversations, not while eating. Do as I say, not as I do. More CV hyprocrisy here. I would say don't even patronize this place honestly.

Birria was a lil chewy birria taco was not crunchy. Birria Ramon was too salty . I only drove through and that's it. Won't be going again
