Guerilla Bizkits - Review - East Nashville - Nashville - The Infatuation

"Guerilla Bizkits does one thing really, really well, and it’s right there in the name. Since we’re in biscuit country, we don’t dare put out this list without paying homage to whatever vegan sorcery they’ve perfected to leave out the butter and still accomplish this level of flakiness. We love their tiny shoebox shop and their punk rock mentality (with slogans like “vegan bizkits for your big mouth” or simply “f*cking vegan”). You can go straight edge (plain), channel your inner Red Lobster lover with the garlic cheddar bay, or rock out with the blackout—a sour cherry and jalapeño version that kicks you in the teeth like the mosh pits of the early 2000s. Snag a three-pack of frozen discs for later (they bake up perfectly at home) and, what the heck, a few condoms from the bowl on the counter while you’re at it." - Ann Walczak

12 Places to Get Great Biscuits in Nashville | Eater Nashville

"These biscuits earn a spot on the list for their taste alone, but what if we told you they were vegan? The duo behind Guerilla Bizkits have been whipping up flaky and ultra-flavorful biscuits free of animal products since April 2020 with a menu including their classic recipe, a spicy cherry and pickled jalapeño option, and a Red Lobster cheddar biscuit dupe that rivals the real thing." - Kellie Walton

Google
100% AH-MAZING. Hard not to make this place a priority if you are traveling to Nashville, have vegan dietary preferences, and like biscuits. While I was excited to try all three biscuits (Triple B), I was most intrigued by the Blackout Biz. The combination of the dough, tart cherry, and spicy peppers wroked extremely well together. My only complaint is that I didn't have enough time in Nashville to visit again. I would have loved to try the breakfast bizkits. Or order some frozen bizkits to-go. I also love the area of the shop. The vibe was on point for me. What a great place in a great space. I enjoyed walking around the other spaces. I will definitely be back anytime I'm in Nashville. PS: Have a flight? Take your biscuits to go. It's a lifesaver at the airport.

Google
I have been vegan for 7 years and I have never been so satisfied with a Biscuit. It has everything you want, it’s flaky and soft and buttery and the loaded one is amazingly cheesy. We had to go back in for seconds! I would 100% recommend this to anyone vegan or not. The atmosphere and people there are super nice and friendly. It’s also surrounded by cute little shops.

Google
The Bizkit Sammies were delicious. We got one with Loaded Bizkit and the other was a special Nashville hot seasoning. They were the best biscuits we've had. We went back to get two 3 packs for later. I'm so glad we didn't sleep on this place during our trip. These folks are in it for their community and delicious food.

Google
Lived in the south for 35 years and have eaten at lots of famous biscuit places, and the straight edge might be the best I've ever had, vegan or not. This small footprint business has big charm and a community info counter (think bulletin board, but horizontal) that declares it a safe space and resource for folks who may be experiencing marginalization and oppression elsewhere. The person behind the counter was welcoming, friendly, and helpful, and the biscuits and sammie were indulgent and delicious. Feels like this business and it's owners are making the world a better place one bizkit a time. Highly recommend!

Google
I am so happy that google suggested this spot when I searched vegan food near me. Absolute gem. Incredible food, incredible atmosphere, and the owners are amazing. I truly felt at home for the first time in Nashville. I don’t think I could speak highly enough about the quality of the biscuits. They are everything you would want in a biscuit. Fluffy inside, crispy crunchy flaky outside. The sausage sandwich was simple perfection. Can’t wait to try the frozen ones at home to add some vegan eggs on them. The prices are fair, and they have a very cool record selection. If you are a lost punk rocker finding your way through Tennessee, make sure this place is on your list of stops. You will not be disappointed.

Google
This place is so rad! My partner and I are visiting from out of state, and decided to try this place out. We got Fully Loaded biscuit, sausage, and cheese sandwiches. They tasted amazing. I’m definitely going to miss them when we leave. The person running the counter was super friendly! He gave us a bunch of recommendations for other spots to try out while we’re here.

Google
This place is a hidden gem, and I can't believe today was my first visit. You can't see it from the street, but you can't miss it once you're close. Right away, the vibes were inviting and casual. The cashier was having a conversation with a customer, the cook was making biscuits behind glass, and the place is covered in healthy plants and gorilla decor (among other cool stuff). I ordered a Bizkit Sammy, then added a Raspberry Cream Cheese Danish on a whim. It was hard to resist, the pastries looked so beautiful.. The cashier said it would keep until tomorrow, too. So I haven't tried it yet, but I'll update if I have some thoughts to share. Anyway, the cashier informed me they had gravy today, so of course I wanted it poured on top of my sandwich. Once home, I finally dove into it. And... shoot, guys. This is the best vegan biscuit I have ever had, in all my 10, nearly 11, years of veganism. It is flakey like none other, it melts in the mouth, even after a bit of a roundabout/long ride home, and it really does remind me of the non-vegan biscuits I used to eat (so long ago). The cheese was great, melty, flavorful; I'm not sure if it's always garlic cheddar, but it was today. The sausage was fantastic, too. Both the cheese and sausage are similar to other top-ranked vegan alternatives I've tried. The gravy was a real star, though. I have never had gravy like this. Vegan gravy is kind of rare generally; this stuff knocks it out of the park. From what little I remember about normal gravy, this vegan gravy tastes exactly like it, and probably even better, too. Overall, I can see why the biscuits are the main focus here. It's because they stand out in a lot of ways. Paired with the other delicious elements, especially the surprise gravy today, the whole sandwich was really incredible. I'm just so impressed with everything. I can't wait to tell everyone I know about this place.

Google
Got the absolute pleasure of getting to visit this place while in Nashville last month and I think about it every day! SO GOOD. I had the biscuits and gravy and WOOOWEEEE. We also got to meet and chat with one of the lovely owners Zach! Cannot express my love for this place enough! Sending big love from Texas 🫶🏽

Yelp
I typically don't curse but this loaded cheddar/garlic biscuit with the strawberry jam had me screaming explicative after explicative for how delicious it was. The service was kind and approachable and very welcoming. The music was not our vibe but it's not somewhere where you sit down so who cares. That biscuit is something made of fantasy.

Yelp
A cute bakery in the shops of fatherland . The owners are some of the most creative and resourceful people I've met. They did all the work to get the space set up and running . Not to mention all the cool items they've made to have in the place, the to scale butter stick is insane. The biscuits are good a little too crumbly for me but I will be back to chat with them and get more of their killer stickers

Yelp
Best biscuits money can buy, and I'm not even vegan. Go get a bizkit(also their breakfast sammy is delish)

Yelp
Could not give more of a glowing review of this place! This is a VEGAN and NUT FREE biscuit cafe, literally perfection. I got the a sausage and cheese sandwich on a day old biscuit (so it was $5 off the normal price) and it was incredible. The owner is also a gem and gave us tons of other recommendations around Nashville. If you're looking for a perfect Tennessee biscuit, you have to go here!!! If I could give this place six stars I would.

Yelp
Best vegan biscuits. That's it, that's the story. This place is great -- tucked away at Shops on Fatherland this place often sells out of a various biscuit flavors. But every biscuit is fantastic. They also can make vegan sausage & cheese biscuit sandwiches. Super cool shop owners. Great spot.

Yelp
So glad to have discovered this little gem in Nashville!!! Loved the owner's heart for animal rights and the delicious biscuits and gravy. Truly the best I've ever had. The latte was amazing, too. A must visit if you're in the area.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I were in Nashville, and he really wanted to try Guerilla Bizkits, so we checked it out. It's pretty much a hole in the wall and definitely meant to take out. Luckily, we found seats not too far away, but it was a chilly morning, and eating outside is not fun in cold weather. Guerilla Bizkits offers biscuits, biscuit sandwiches, and coffee (which is a problem if you prefer your caffeine from other sources, but there is a place that serves tea nearby). It's also in a little collection of shops and is closed when the shops are open. So we each got a sandwich and found a place to eat. The biscuits were good, but a bit crumbly. A side might have been nice, but I was happy with my food.

Yelp
I've been dying to find a vegan biscuit for years...search over!! We had the buttermilk with jam and the breakfast sandwich, both were incredible!! Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Might be the best vegan spot I've ever been to. I usually eat only meat. Forgive me I know. But I wanted to try this place because it looked really cool inside. I gotta say, this cheese tastes and feels like real cheese. Biscuits were fluffy. Great lil shop.

James J.

Yelp
This place is super good but they're always closed for some reason even when it says they're open o their site. They also run out of stuff really early so if you don't go early they usually run low. There's also a lot of gay stuff in there

Yelp
Biscuit perfection.... and completely vegan *faints in disbelief*. You simply cannot go wrong with the "Buttermilk" (they call it straight edge) or one of their other offerings. I lucked up on a vegan sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich this past week. One bite and all was right with the world. They use the Beyond brand sausage patties. The husband/wife owners are just lovely and super friendly. A plus! Check the hours before you go (thurs-Saturday morning/afternoon only). If they're open, go get you some delicious Guerilla bizkits.

Yelp
Tried their jalapeño and cherry biscuit. You can get it with strawberry jam or butter, we opted for butter. The biscuit was a little hard but the inside soft. It had a crumbly texture, the flavor was okay. The guy working by himself was really nice and friendly. I'd go back to try their cheddar flavor, I think that flavor would be better.

Yelp
Vegan Bizkits so good, even our non-vegan relatives want them. The shop is awesome, too. These are some friendly folks slinging tasty, creative food and putting Nashville on the map as a vegan food destination.

Yelp
Happened upon Guerilla Bizkits after a haircut. My partner is Vegan and loves a good biscuit so I stopped and got the "Buttermilk" & Jalapeño Cherry biscuits. Took them home and toasted them with butter and jam. They were outstandingly delicious! My vegan partner adored them, so much so that literally the next morning she asked if we could go pick up more to have for breakfast. Spectacular biscuits, can not recommend enough!! All Vegan. Plus they sell Punk Rock vinyl records and they have great taste.

Patty L.

Yelp
If i could give this place 0 stars I would. The employee i had an interaction with was incredibly rude to me, and the food was more than subpar. probably the worst bakery i have ever been to. I would save your money and go somewhere else.

Yelp
This place rules. Awesome biscuits. Awesome records. Fun coffee, and awesome owner to stay and chat with. I'll be back over and over again!

Yelp
An Ode to the Bizkit. I bake a lot and I grew up in the south, and this is the best biscuit I've ever eaten- vegan or not. The perfect combination of crispy exterior and pillowy, savory, buttery insides. Then combine that perfection with the Blackout; the most funky amazing biscuit flavor you can dream of- "Tart Montmorency cherries + smokey pickled jalapeños with a 'lil @surajspicesandteas beet powder for the ultimate flavor combo." It is pure heaven and I dream of these bizkits. If y'all haven't tried these yet get yourselves over there asap!! Might just change your life.
