"This family-owned and operated steakhouse that opened in Arlington’s old Ben’s Chili Bowl space is gaining notice for its delicious cuts of ribeye, New York strip, and (bacon-wrapped) filet in various preparations (blackened, “fuego” style, and peppercorn crusted). Its in-house specialty is a tomahawk for two, flambeed tableside in brandy with red wine herb butter and rosemary ($155). The steakhouse is named for owner Jackelin Barrera’s grandfather, Ermides Guerra, a Guatemalan immigrant who loved his steak. Order takeout or delivery online." - Tierney Plumb, Eater Staff

We had heard great things about this restaurant and decided to celebrate a special occasion there some time ago. We absolutely loved it. The French onion soup was perfect, and the crab bisque was creamy and delicious. Our steak was cooked exactly as we had requested - medium well and juicy inside. We appreciated the classic interior decor, and the service was good. Overall, the experience was unforgettable.

Google
We found this cute steakhouse on our first day of vacation. My bestie wanted a steak, and Guerra was within walking distance. We were impressed with their 4.7 star rating, but I must say, it's much better in person than their website. I don't eat beef, so I ordered the french onion soup and a ceasar salad, and it was delicious. We will certainly be back the next time we are in Arlington.

Came here for a nice dinner date and was not disappointed. We made a reservation and were seated right away when arrived. Staffs were nice and friendly. Crab bisque was delicious and well-seasoned. The crabmeat croquette was alright, had only a little taste of crabmeat, so I would try something else next time. Steak was cooked perfectly as ordered and paired well with the garlic butter, if you like some more of the sweeter profile then the brandy mushroom sauce was a good pair as well. We were full by the time we finished out meal so we did not have room to try their dessert this time, though it looked good (from a peek of another table that ordered the chocolate mousse and chocolate lava cake, yum) This restaurant is very small and tables are set very close to each other, so it felt a little crammed during the dinner rush. We did not have a problem finding a parking spot when arrived, since this restaurant located in a small plaza, it might be a challenge to park during rush hours. Overall, it was a good meal.

Google
This restaurant is in a small strip mall, and the parking can be challenging. It's a small and quaint place, but I enjoyed the atmosphere. Call for reservations, and there's no dress code attire, but my opinion is you would want to definitely look presentable. The hostess was amazing. The wait staff was great as well. They were extremely busy, so we had to catch him while he was on the move or call him over to our table. We ordered an appetizer (can't remember the official name), but it was a mozzarella cheese crab ball, the tomahawk steak, mashed potatoes, lobster mac-n-cheese, and ceasar salads and the milk chocolate mousse for dessert. When I tell you the food was amazing... it was AMAZING!!! I loved the Tomahawk steak presentation. Enjoy the pictures!

We went to Guerra for a work dinner. I’d say if you’re in Rosslyn and want a great steak, this is your place! I love a good pepper steak and got the 12 oz. NY Strip steak. It was delicious along with the Peppercorn Crusted “preparation”. It was tender and melt in your mouth good. We ordered the broccoli and mashed potatoes which were a nice addition to the meal. For dessert, we ordered the Milk Chocolate Mousse, Lava Cake and ice cream. All around wonderful! I really wish this place was closer to where I live. While they have a nice bathroom, one thing that I have an aversion to is there is a giant wall mirror in the bathroom so that when you sit down, you see your whole body while sitting there. I’d recommend removing that giant mirror as there’s a mirror over the sink. The staff was super nice and didn’t rush us through us ordering or taking an extra long time at dinner. I really like the decor in the dining area and the white lights outside. It gives a nice ambiance. Highly recommend! Thank you to the staff and chef(s).

Google
Guerra's is AMAZING!! The food, service and vibe all deserve 5 Stars, easily! Perfectly cooked and seasoned grilled Ribeye, flavorful mashed Potatoes, Lobster Macaroni & Cheese and Crab bisque. The adult beverages are made with fresh ingredients👌🏾!! The staff is family based and they are truly wonderful, A+ customer service!!! I would rate my experience 10 out of 5 and will definitely return in the future!!!

Google
Great atmosphere and even better food. Highly recommend the Tomahawk steak. Plenty of meat and comes with two sides. We will be back!

I walked in, waited 5 minutes at the door, no one seated me. I started to walk to the back to find someone and then the bartender stopped me and asked me what I wanted, to which I replied, I just wanted to be seated. The bartender, who knew I was standing at the door the entire time then gave me a menu and seated me. I should have clarified my desires to include a waiter, because they never showed. I walked out. I am a local within walking distance. I love steak. I’ve eaten here before and it was only ok. I won’t be spending $50+ on an ok steak and terrible service in the future. I rather go to somewhere nicer in DC. I will also encourage my local friends to avoid this place.

Yelp
This restaurant may well be an average of 4.5 stars, but this was a 3 star meal if I'm being generous. The ambiance is nice. Small. Quaint. Clean. Would be cool if there was some sort of bar seating but space in Rosslyn is a premium. Let's talk sides. The good and bad. Creamed spinach - very good. Brussels and mashed potatoes were ok. "Seasonal Mushrooms..." look...it's June. You know exactly the one mushroom I'm looking for in May and June. It's not the baby portabellas and shitaake from the local grocer sautéed in EVOO. Seasonal mushrooms in May and June are a standard fare. And then the ribeye. Ordered medium-rare. Cook at the mid-point of the steak was medium-well to well. Thickest part of the cut was medium for about 3-4 bites. Season and sere were fine, but you cannot overcook this cut as a quality steakhouse. If your service staff see an overcook, they need to intervene. It's not how it should exit your expo. I've included photos. It was clearly a well-marbled cut cooked poorly. I'll keep looking for the best ribeye in NOVA.

Maria-Elena T.

Yelp
Ordered the Malbec. Caesar no croutons, ribeye medium rare with blue cheese crumbles, and side of Mac and cheese. We sat outside and the ambiance was really nice- mostly due to the restaurant next door! They had lots of colorful lights and it was dark outside. Wine was good. Loved my Caesar salad. Mac and cheese was good- not too dry or too wet; good flavor. Steak was ok. My medium rare was a few minutes over and my friend's medium rare steak was a few minutes under cooked.

Yelp
Service was a bit slow, but when they did come to our table, they were nice and attentive. A lovely meal with good company. It was pretty loud in there- they were very busy with happy people enjoying their meal. My friend's birthday was spent here, and they added a cute HAPPY BIRTHDAY on her menu. The bread for the table was nice. My steak was cooked nicely, and the horseradish sauce was not overly hot, but had good flavor. My friend liked the hollandaise, another liked her steak salad, the Mac and cheese was good and also liked the iceberg wedge. Friendly staff. I'd come back here!

Andrew M.

Yelp
Small intimate steakhouse where the original Ray's The Steaks used to be. Parking is limited, usually packed at dinner time; be prepared to find street parking. Service was pretty good. It was a slow mid-week, as there was only one other party eating when we were there. Tips: 1. Order salad dressing on the side, a little too much when I got my wedge. 2. My party ordered Peppercorn Bone-in Ribeyes, all got cooked above what we ordered. One was too well-done that it was returned. 3. Sides were OK, not to the level of a high-end steakhouse. 4. Presentation of the Smoked Old Fashioned was pretty cool, but it had too much simple syrup and was on the sweet side.

Lizpani S.

Yelp
LOVE that this steakhouse is right where Rays the Steaks was. We loved Rays, too. Guerra is so similar. Delicious hanger steaks! Creamed spinach was just as we remember at Rays. What a throw back. We will definitely be back!!

Fallyn G.

Yelp
If you are looking for a quaint, intimate spot, check out Guerra Steakhouse. Start with the crab bisque, a great way to warm your palate up for the meal. The bisque is very creamy and flavorful. There is a good balance of crabmeat between each bite. Our steaks were delicious, juicy, and flavorful. The cream of spinach and mashed potatoes went really well with the steak. I definitely will be back for another steak dinner.

Yelp
We went to Guerra for a celebration. I easily booked the reservation about a month in advance. The ambiance is intimate and warm and was the perfect spot for a crisp fall evening. All the sides come family style, so you can get one or two to share with the table! The food was really good - I ordered the blackened salmon and had sides of the Mac n cheese, whipped potatoes, Mac n cheese, and Brussels sprouts. All of it was excellent! We also ordered two bottles of Cabernet. It was really delicious wine. My only complaint was they only had bottles that were around $60 - no house wine. For celebrations when you want to order several for the table that can be a little annoying. Overall, great experience.

Yelp
Solid steak spot. Would recommend if that's what you're craving/looking for and okay with the price. The place is pretty small and there isn't a lot of parking spots in the area. If you go during peak time, may need to parallel park. We tried the steak tartare appetizer and it was delicious. People at the table either had the 12 oz NY Strip or the 16 oz Ribeye and all enjoyed it. My only thing is the sides. They were pretty basic which isn't a bad thing, just FYA. I also wished the mushrooms weren't overcooked. They looked burnt. For dessert, got the Chateau Les Justices Sauternes. Was good, but not the flavor profile I like, so wouldn't get that again. Lastly the staff was friendly, appreciated him explaining everything and answer our questions. Side note: They did say they are gluten friendly when we called, doesn't hurt to check again though and for specific dishes you want.

Veronica A.

Yelp
Man, it's not too many places, I go to that be a 10/10, and this restaurant was. The ambiance was very comfortable, and it was not loud, very enjoyable. They do have both indoor and outdoor seating. The service was spectacular from the time we arrived to the time we left. The food was cooked to perfection. I had a steak of course mashed potatoes and creamy spinach. I couldn't have it better. I was glad I chose this restaurant, and if you are ever in Arlington, Virginia, stop in and grab a bite. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Check it out if you have a craving for steak. Tiny, half a building. Ambiance felt like they were trying to go for an old school NY vibe. A lot of steak options but not much else besides that. Brussel sprouts had a nice crunch. Mashed potatoes were too creamy. Filet mignon was full of flavor and juicy. NY strip was a little tough. The lava cake was delicious. Not too rich and had a few chocolate flavors.

Yelp
Guerra Steakhouse was a real delight. We headed out on a Thursday night at around 830p. Dinner service was lively but we were quickly seated. Guerra has a lovely low light intimate environment which made for a nice casual dinning experience. As they are a steakhouse I ordered a filet minion with port wine sauce. My companion ordered a ribeye with mushroom cream sauce. For sides we chose mac n' cheese, asparagus, broccoli and mashed potatoes. For libation we chose the passion fruit margarita. From start to finish the food was incredibly tasty. Steaks prepared to medium rare perfection and the accompanying sauces served as enhancement to the well seasoned meat. We loved our sides and had two rounds of cocktails. We definitely recommend this spot for your next date night.

Yelp
TIP: MAKE RESERVATIONS!! Amazing food! A must try, if you're in the area! I was in the area and was craving some steak. I came across Guerra Steakhouse and man was I happy I did. It was close to dinner time and I realized they're only open for dinner. I thought about making reservations, however, I figured if I get there at a decent time, I should be good to get a table. Plus, it was only two in my party so I figured we had a good chance. We got lucky and the hostess said she has a table available for an about and a half (reservations expected to come by then). We accepted the table; knowing we were there to eat and not socialize because we had somewhere to be at a specific time. So it worked out. Now to the food! ORDER * Cowboy - 26oz * This handsome piece of steak was thick, juicy and tender. Cooked medium rare (why waste a steak eating it tough and well done). It's not pictured, however if you glance at the other pictures in the gallery, you'll see what I mean. * Ribeye - 16oz * Another handsome piece of steak that was amazing. It was also thick, juicy and tender. There were many pieces that melted in your mouth throwing delicious shock waves throughout your tastebuds. It came with bits of roasted garlic on top. The steaks entrees came with house mashed potatoes. We got an additional side going with the spinach. The mashed potatoes were so creamy and fluffy. Full of flavor. The spinach was good and also creamy. * Scallops * These tasty scallops were glazed in butter garlic sauce. The portions were generous as an appetizer. You get complimentary fresh bread and butter. The butter is seasoned and jazzes up the bread. I decided to have an adult beverage to chase down my steak. I went with the HIBISCUS SUNSET. Even the drink was good. It wasn't too sweet either. I can't recall what was in it but I highly recommend it. Overall, the restaurant was top notch. The service was good and the food is amazing. The restaurant isn't that big however there's outdoor seating. The restaurant felt like fine dining. Everyone at the restaurant seemed to be dressed up and there for a special occasion (a few couples clearly on a nice date, and birthday celebration). We were not dressed up, however a lot of the people were. We enjoyed our delicious food in our causal fits (jeans and sneakers). The waist staff seemed to be extra kind to the folks on dates which was nice. Allowing them to take photos of their tomahawk steaks fired up at the table. I totally missed the mini show of the fire however that didn't matter because we got compliments on our steaks when a gentleman walked in, in awe asking what steaks we ordered because they liked amazing.

Richard T.

Yelp
Great food, great service! Went to walk around the neighborhood with the dog and suddenly had a craving for a nice steak. This place had an awesome outdoor dining area for us to sit and enjoy our meal with the yappy dog. The staff was very patient despite the dog being so whiny. Ordered the rib eye with lobster mac and cheese. The steak comes with mashed potatoes and a dipping sauce and which was unnecessary since the steak was cooked perfectly with that great flame char taste. Lobster mac and cheese had noticeable chunks of lobster and was worth definitely worth the pick.

Rustin L.

Yelp
We sat outside with a cool heater (you could see the flame shooting up the middle...yeah, I know..."nerd") and took a chance that the rain would hit. It only sprinkled when a co-worker and I sat down. The steaks were perfectly done and the service impeccable. Our waitress was super helpful and made great conversation. You can tell when a place takes care of their people and it was obvious on this trip. I had a couple of their smoked Old Fashioned, which was a treat, because unlike most places, these actually showed up in a smoke-filled glass box and were delicious. Probably a gimmick but I enjoy the theatrics and flavor. They offered strawberry cheesecake at the end and I love me some strawberries which they graciously piled on when I asked. Yum! Take a chance and check it out, and sit outside if at all possible!

PuaAli'i L.

Yelp
Great service and delicious food. I loved the atmosphere and my filet mignon, creamed spinach, mashed potatoes and the fresh bread. Excellent. Highly recommend

Anna S.

Yelp
The food was great, ordered steaks and got the wine that our waiter recommended with the steak we ordered.

Yelp
Guerra Steakhouse has been on my list for years! I went for my birthday last weekend. They were able to accommodate my slightly larger party. I was so appreciative! The ambiance was lovely! It was an intimate space with seating outdoors as well. There are heaters if you decide to sit outside. I had the Giant Shrimp Scampi which was delicious! I could've just filled up on that and been fine. They were able to accommodate my allergies to dairy and my pescatarian diet. I also got the salmon well done with asparagus. It was perfect! Everyone else had the rib-eye and lobster Mac and cheese not realizing that the steak comes with mashed potatoes. They said the mashed potatoes tasted homemade and melt in Your mouth! The steak was very tender as well! The bread was delish! If you go, you definitely have to try the sangria! We all had a great time! They took a group pic for us and we were the last ones to leave! I will be back! Absolutely loved them.

Janelle J.

Yelp
Really liked this place. Pricey but very good steak. Bread service comes with dinner. The sangria was tasty, a little on the dry side for me. Our steaks were fantastic. We all got the port sauce and shared mashed potatoes. Shrimp appetizer was small but very good. It's always very chill here, you can make a res or walk right in.

Susan R.

Yelp
Excellent service from the entire crew at Guerra!! When I say "wow, what service!!", I'm not exaggerating!! Never did we ever want for a single thing. Water was refilled, wine was refilled, bread was fabulous, We were here for a one year work anniversary. My waiter was Momo, who was attentive, smart and knows his menu! Running around like the superstar he is, Galay listened to me as I decided between wines, helped decide a beer for my coworker, placed a setting for an additional guest, and kept checking back to meet my needs. Honestly, I'm overwhelmed at how amazing service was! I'll be back!

Devin R.

Yelp
Great food, awesome wine list, nice staff! I'll definitely be back! Vegetarian and pescatarian options!

Adria W.

Yelp
The place is small, but very warm and inviting. The drinks are on point. I had the smoked manhattan and it was almost dangerous how tasty it was. The steak was almost butter knife tender. It was salted just right and cooked perfectly.

Karen V.

Yelp
This was one of the first places that I bookmarked for my trip. All the reviews looked fantastic. All the 5 star reviews are on point. I'm so glad I visited this place at lunch time. I was told it fills up in the evenings. I was about to order a glass of wine, but decided to get the Guatemalan Sunrise after seeing the cocktail menu. They really need to put their cocktail menu online. I would have never known they had such unique and refreshing cocktails. The ingredients are homemade watermelon, Guatemalan guava puree, prosecco, and moscato. Doesn't that sound amazing? It truly was wonderful! I'd get it again. The orchid made it look so tropical. A very good first impression indeed. It really was a toss up between this cocktail and El Tamarindo. They both looked great on paper. Then I got the steak frites, but without the frites. I substituted it for the steamed broccoli with garlic butter. Everything was delicious, and cooked to perfection. The steak was so tender and had great flavor. It almost tasted like a cut of picanha steak with some fattier bites along the edge, even though the menu states that it's sirloin. It was just a great cut of steak. Oh, and that bernaise sauce left me wanting even more of it. It was good with the broccoli and the steak. I could really taste that lemon. Loved it! I would not hesitate to go back if I'm ever in Rosslyn again. The atmosphere is elegant. The service is great. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I kind of wish I had tried the flan, but I wanted to try other dessert spots nearby. Rosslyn is full of these gems. This particular steakhouse is a hidden gem. You don't really see it from the road. It's tucked away inside the Colonial Village Shopping Center near Eclairons on Wilson Blvd. I just happened to search for restaurants near the hotel and saw the rave reviews. I'm glad to have found it.

Yelp
Ummmmm this is going to be short and sweet... Steak is amazing...shrimp was really spicy ( I love spice but gosh) Don't recommend the salmon... (like duh @ me-- it's a steakhouse lol) Lobster Mac ...loved it so much we ordered another round (judge yourself lol) Crispy Brussels were also great Old fashioned that was smoked ...was amazing!

Abigail B.

Yelp
My partner and I are new to the area and we were looking for a nice, but moderately priced steakhouse to celebrate his new job offer. Guerra was perfect! The restaurant itself is small but surprisingly accommodating to us showing up 30 minutes early for our 6pm reservation. I tried some of the wedge salad, which was very good from the perspective of someone that usually does not love bleu cheese. I ordered the 12oz. New York Strip with peppercorn crust and béarnaise sauce. It was extremely filling and the garlic mashed potatoes were some of the best I've had! If you're a fan of garlic and a party of 4+, I would suggest asking them for both side dishes to be with garlic. We did not specify this so they brought out a garlic butter mashed potato side and a plain mashed potato side. The food was amazing overall! My only complaints would be that they only served decaf coffee (even though regular coffee was on the menu), the bread was alright, and I wish they would have given us the choice for our mashed potatoes. Great restaurant! Will be coming back soon.

Narankhuu G.

Yelp
**Review for [Local Steakhouse, Arlington VA]** I order the 16oz ribeye steak with the "blackened" preparation which comes with a garlic butter crust. The steak was cooked medium-well just as I requested. Nice blackened char and very tender. It retained its juiciness, even being cooked past medium. One of the best steaks I've had for sure. The mac & cheese was savory (could have been a bit more cheesy in my opinion) and the mashed potatoes were perfectly creamy. I love the outdoor seating available in Colonial Village and the interior has a nice, posh, vibe. Guajillo and Mele Thai add to the outdoor atmosphere. My server was extremely kind and attentive. I'll be back soon!

Amanda K.

Yelp
Bottom line: Solid local steakhouse. Conscientious service, good wine, and decent steak. Cute outdoor seating that is heated. You must have the caramel flan! We were able to walk in on a Friday night without reservations - though we were only a party of two - that likely wouldn't have worked with more people since it was pretty crowded. Dinner: You choose a cut of steak and a preparation/sauce with it. My partner had the pepper steak, which come with a creamy sauce and blue cheese. I had the avocado jalapeño sauce. Both were good, though be warned that the pepper steak preparation is quite rich. All of the steak come with mashed potatoes. We also ordered the brussels with bacon and onions added - a must! The steak overall is good - mine was a little rarer than I would have expected for a medium, but it was good and I still ate it. Dessert: The caramel flan is a lovely dessert, and I highly recommend it especially because it's not as common in the area. The dark chocolate mousse is also good as well! Service: They have excellent service. The wine glass I had had a lipstick stain on it and they promptly changed it out and later gave me a complementary glass of wine (the Pinot on their menu is awesome!). Our waiter also gave us the chocolate mousse dessert on the house since we had been debating what to order and since we were some of the last customers there and they had one left, they let us try it. They really went above and beyond! Why four stars? I try to rate restaurants based on their league (so we aren't comparing Pizza Hut to five star restaurants). Since Guerra is a steakhouse though, I'm comparing it to other steak houses, which tend to be pretty upscale. For a neighborhood steakhouse, it gets five stars but when compared to Ruth's Chris, Morton's, even Fogo de Chao, I think four stars is more appropriate, though it's a toss up because I really enjoyed it and will be back!

Torre S.

Yelp
Had the 16oz ribeye and they cooked it to perfection! The Brussels with bacon and caramelized onions where a perfect match to the steak. This is a damn good steakhouse, worth every penny!

Brendan C.

Yelp
Went here for my birthday earlier this week and I was very impressed. I looked at other older places around DC but I decided to check our Guerras because it was a new local spot with great reviews. I'll breakdown the meal that we had: Bread and cocktails: -bread was surprisingly awesome -fiancée had red wine and I had the smoked whiskey cocktail which was amazing--it comes out in this smoking chamber and is quite a show Appetizer -French onion soup--also very good, interesting take on it with beef bits in it -crab bisque had big chunks of meat and was also great Steak -both the filet and ribeye were perfectly cooked and they have interesting prep options and sauces -fuego style was unique and awesome Sides -mash potatoes were standard but good -broccoli was well seasoned and better than expected Unfortunately we were too full to try deserts but overall it was an awesome meal. Will definitely be back for future celebratory dinners. One bit of feedback, restaurant was a little brighter than your typical steakhouse vibe. Dimmer lights and some wall decor would really enhance the overall experience.

Spencer H.

Yelp
We had 7:15 reservations but anyone who knows me KNOWS I'm usually a half hour early. Uh oh, where is the bar? Well, this quaint unassuming Steakhouse does not have a bar :( The lovely host broke protocol and sat me without my full party present.. So far soooo good!! I started off with a smoked Old Fashioned and what a presentation.. Check out the pic!! As an appetizer we had the Jumbo shrimp scampi which was AWESOME! Now bring on my entrée. I had the peppercorn crusted Ribeye which was excellent, simply mouthwatering! Not only was our food 5 star our server was great and attentive. There was some concern that I wouldn't approve of a non-mainstream steakhouse.. WRONG!! I love these kind of restaurants, reminds me of when I put on a pair of pants and find a $20 bill in my pocket.. DOPE!!!!

Kenny W.

Yelp
tl;dr Would come back for steaks and their mash, but would stay away from the Tomahawk experience and the mac-and-cheese Food - 4/5 * Ordered the tomahawk experience. While it's somewhat theatrical, it's definitely not worth the price, plus the meat was slightly over-cooked. * Mac-and-cheese (the non-lobster version) was meh. * The mash potatoes was made to perfection - It wasn't loaded with butter, and it isn't salty which is a perfect compliment to your steak - It's rare to find a steakhouse who doesn't overload its mash with flavor/cream/butter, and this place just nailed the mash to perfection (From my taste profile, of course.) Service - 5/5 (Not included in the overall rating) * Staff was great. No complain.

Ali S.

Yelp
Had the tomahawk and it did not disappoint. Maybe the best steak I've had. Had Mac and cheese and Brussel sprouts which were both very good. The appetizer we had was mozzarella filled cheese balls which were just ok.

Adi P.

Yelp
For long time District/Arlington residents pining for a new establishment that could carry the mantle of Ray's The Steaks: Excellent Quality, no fuss steaks with competitive pricing, look no further. This is it. It's hard not to compare to the past since this place occupies the same space as the "original" Ray's, but I want to give the owners/chef credit. Guerra Steakhouse must stand on its own. This is not a reincarnation, even if it does reminds you of the past. I'm posting this review after a single takeout meal so I can't comment on consistency or in dining room service, but I was extremely happy with my meal. My steak and my girlfriend's steak were grilled exactly as ordered, sauces are excellent, and the takeout was packaged well. My only real feedback is that the mashed potatoes were a little salty. Will definitely be back to try more.

JEREMY G.

Yelp
Steaks were good, overpriced but still good. The reason this gets a 3 is their "policy" on not splitting checks. Nothing is stated anywhere that they won't split checks but told at the end it's house policy. Nowhere could they show that.

Yaz R.

Yelp
Incredible place! 5 stars all the way. Totally packed on a holiday and cozy and cute inside. I like the dim lighting and while the restaurant is small, the crowd doesn't feel overbearing. The Caesar salad is the only dish that I wouldn't recommend getting. It was super simple in a way that you could've gotten it from a bag at the grocery store, which is what they probably did. I also tried the scallops appetizer, which were some of the best scallops I ever had! They give you five or six scallops, which is really generous for an appetizer, and it was cooked in these Cajun and spicy seasonings! It was delicious. Next I tried the filet which was cooked to perfection. But the one factor that makes this place totally stand out is the steak sauces!!! The mushroom brandy and port wine sauces were sooo rich in flavor and addictive. The bernaise was good too but not as good as the other two. I also loved the Mac and cheese which was served steaming hot and the creamed spinach. Perfectly creamy! The mashed potatoes that were included with the steaks were super tasty and a little garlicky. I love this place and would 100% return.

Yelp
10/10 highly recommended! Alexander was our host for the night. She was amazing. She literally did everything from making our drinks to cooking our steak. She suggested the scallops as her appetizer of choice. And I will say we were very satisfied. The food itself was flavorful. The restaurant is small and intimate good for date nights.

Yelp
This is a small but quality steakhouse. When I arrived to the restaurant all the table were full and they asked me to give them a few more minutes for my reservation. This was no big deal but they were so kind and polite. They gave me and my friend a complimentary glass of Prosecco while I waited. The service was excellent and the food was superior. 10/10

Yelp
Totally enjoyed the brunch experience at Guerra. The service was very good and the food was excellent. The mimosas were very good and prepared perfectly. Looking forward to going back real soon.

Yelp
Been here twice now - my first experience was better and warranted the 5 star. Food is AMAZING, best steak in the area so far for me. For starters, I had the lobster Mac & Cheese + Brussel Sprouts... both are delicious and flavorful. For steak - I've had the 12oz NY strip & the 14oz Entrecôte. I strongly recommend the "fuego style" preparation. Each bite was juicy and sparked fireworks in my mouth. I cannot express how good these steaks tasted. Service was solid, food can take a while to come out (expected). Will be back for another round!!

Yelp
My new favorite restaurant, always delicious with great service. Have eaten at Guerra six times in the last three months. Steaks and sides are scrumptious, per my previous review. Adding picture of chocolate mouse, which capped off another exceptional meal, which started with Caesar salad. Mashed potatoes come with the entrees, to which we added sides of Brussels sprouts and steamed broccoli. Delicious!

Yelp
Very good! We made a reservation and my husband let them know it was gonna be my birthday. Not only did they greet me right away with a happy birthday but they also gave me a special menu that said happy birthday as well. Sometimes it's a small things that mean the most! Service was fantastic and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the steak and eggs it was divine

Yelp
Was my first time here. I came for my birthday I made reservations so we were seated quickly. The restaurant is a little small and you'll be very close to other folks but you can have a private conversation. The service was less than adequate. They came to the table after a while took the drink then didn't see them again until it was time to order. The bread was okay however the butter is awful it is extremely hard and falls apart. The bisque was delicious and the wedge salad were delicious. My wife ordered the hanger steak it was dry and a little chewy. I ordered the ribeye steak which was tender and juicy. The sides were fantastic the mashed potatoes it comes with were creamy and had the right amount of butter. The lobster Mac and cheese was cheesy and the lobster flavor popped right at you. The three stars are mostly for the service and the hanger steak.

Yelp
One of the best steaks we ever had! We ate outside with great weather for a friend's birthday and she was greeted with a personalized menu wishing her a Happy Birthday. The sauces you pair with your steaks are delicious, and the sides are just as great (we had the lobster Mac and cheese and potatoes). Service was kind and stayed on top of us. Can't wait to go back again! Highly recommend their Smoked Old Fashioned

Yelp
Fantastic food for very reasonable price in the Dc area. Manager is really sweet too.

Yelp
Loved the outdoor patio. The caesar salad is great to start off with. The 32 oz cowboy steak is huge (look in my photos!) and perfect for sharing between 2 people. The brandy mushroom cream sauce is very creamy, not salty, and overall not too flavorful. The port wine sauce had a tang to it. This is definitely a date night occasion as there were many other couples around. Highly recommend for a date night! Across from inca social and the location is in a restaurant hot spot in Rosslyn, Arlington, VA

Yelp
Got carryout agajn tonight, and it was just as delicious. Favorite place in VA for a good steak.

Yelp
I took my husband to Guerra Steakhouse for his bday last night and we both were very satisfied. The location is a little small on the inside but it's cute. There's also a few tables outside for patio seating. We both got the 16oz ribeye prepared blackened. It comes with mashed potatoes and we added steamed broccoli and macaroni and cheese. The steak was cooked to perfection. I added the mushroom sauce on the side and that just made it better. Both the mac&cheese and mashed potatoes had good flavor. I will definitely return!

Yelp
Ambiance was excellent. I enjoyed my cocktail. Instant mashed potatoes was a big disappointment--they were definitely instant ‍--the side just threw the whole entree off Let's just say there are other steakhouses --this one was just ok. 2.5

Yelp
I have eaten there twice now and had great meals both times. Adequate replacement for the void of a mid level chophouse when Rays closed.

Yelp
Food, service, authenticity all come together for a fine dine experience true to the culture of the purveyors. We enjoyed everything about it and are going back next weekend.
