"This vintage furniture shop came from humble beginnings in a small Queen East storefront. They have an eye for picking out gorgeous mid-century pieces, have a bustling in-house reupholstery operation, and have even graduated to making their own pieces. They specialize in mid-century Scandinavian design, with a mix of industrial and contemporary influence. Less trinkets, more typewriters, old projectors, and vintage film equipment. They also post the majority of their inventory online, which is super helpful. The real beauties are snapped up, so hovering on the website is key." - Medina Abdelkader

Google
He dismissively refused to firm up on what he would pay for my stuff if I brought it in. His estimates of value from pictures I emailed, had the disclaimer 'pending (good) condition', so I asked him what he would pay on delivery if he then deemed them to be in less than good condition. He acted as if I had not asked the question, which I considered rude, and he said he would be happy to not buy them. So I sold it myself on facebook marketplace for way more, and way easier too. No Guff

I have never sold anything to Guff but I have purchased many times from them. Great items, decent prices and helpful staff.

Being an architect with a love of MCM furniture, Guff has a nice selection of quality vintage teak furniture, art and home accessories. I recently sold a beloved teak desk and credenza to Guff, and the process was easy and their friendly staff moved the pieces away in a very efficient, caring and professional manner. It's great that those pieces that have been in my family for a long time is going to a good home that will be appreciated. Thank you Josh & Andrew!

Google
I sold my dining set to Guff and they were fantastic. Excellent customer service, pick up when they said they would be here, friendly delivery men, careful and respectful handling. I would highly recommend them.

Google
Disappointing Customer Experience with GUFF. I recently visited GUFF and felt compelled to share my experience, which unfortunately left much to be desired. My visit was met with an unwelcoming atmosphere, courtesy of an individual who appeared to be in a sour mood and showed no interest in assisting me. From the moment I entered the establishment, it was evident that customer service was not a priority. The individual I encountered seemed disinterested in hearing my concerns or assisting me with. Their demeanor was unprofessional, and it left a lasting impression of indifference towards customers. In today's competitive market, exceptional customer service is pivotal to a business's success. Regrettably, my experience at GUFF fell short of this standard. I believe that a respectful and attentive attitude towards customers is fundamental to any business, regardless of the circumstances. I hope that GUFF will consider this feedback and take measures to improve the overall customer experience. Politeness, patience, and a willingness to listen are qualities that can make all the difference in fostering customer loyalty and ensuring the success of your business.

Google
Very cool stuff here. Fairly good turnover of merchandise , so visit this place regularly. See their web site for an idea of what they currently have in. Accurate description and price offered for most of the inventory. The pricing always seems a bit on the high side, but that probably reflects my budget rather than the valuation of the unique objects featured here. Its location is great for a whole lot of the city, being right off the DVP and public transit. They offer limited parking. I'm sure you might book a time to use their bay doors for large pick ups. Always fun just to pop in and browse.. Like a museum you can shop from

Google
honestly, great place, online and in-store everything makes sense. they let you browse without bugging you, and conversely when you ask questions you get straightforward quick service. they don’t engage in sales tricks and they are upfront about any damages or faults in the piece you’re buying. their only sales trick is their great curation; they let the pieces sell themselves, and it seems to be working because the turnover is pretty fast, i browse their website often and always see new stuff. in 2014 we bought a vintage sofa set from them that is still comfy and good looking. and in 2022 we’re buying another three teak pieces. You’re not being frugal if you buy teak from Guff but it seems to me their prices are lower than other similar showrooms in Toronto and the product you’re buying has a resale value.

Bought some artwork from here during lockdown and was so pleased with how easy it was. The team was friendly in their communication from beginning to end and the I’m obsessed with my new pieces. I always enjoy checking out what this shop has. Definitely a city gem!

Yelp
GUFF has some of the most unique furniture you will ever find. They have a huge space filled with items that can fill your house from head to toe. Some really nice antique furniture in very great condition. The staff is very knowledgable and will spend a great deal of time helping you pick out the perfect piece. They have products ranging from beds, artwork, dining tables, cabinets, chairs, carpets, desks and everything else. They always have new products in store every time I check them out. 10/10 would recommend everyone to check them out for all your furniture needs.

Yelp
Big shout out to the guys at Guff! They've got a pretty large space full of very cool vintage furniture. All in very good condition and fairly priced. Staff at the store are great. Picked up a number of pieces for a move this weekend and while it wasn't in their schedule they coordinated a delivery to get me the furniture in time for my move in. Hesitant to post the review as there is a limited supply of furniture like this and don't want readers to buy something I may want. But they deserve it and if you want quality, fairly priced vintage furniture check this place out. Way better than the buying new furniture built at the lowest cost possible.

Yelp
There are quite a lot of antique, vintage and used furniture stores in Leslieville which are really just jam-packed pack rat's palaces that may remind you of those ugly hoarding reality TV shows. Good thing G.U.F.F. is not one of them. Their retail floor is never overwhelming, even after neverendingly finding all sorts of interesting stuff to keep it filled. This is indeed the place in town to find vintage midcentury Scandinavian style furniture... or get what you need to turn your measly downtown condo into something resembling Don and Megan Draper's apartment in Mad Men. Some may oogle at the latest new arrivals they post on their website, while others like myself enjoy peeking at their storefront window and the items they put out on the sidewalk on a beautiful day. There have only been a couple occasions where I finally for once went in, at one time when I needed a specifically-sized coffee table and a chair. Found a nice teak table that suited my needs--nothing that a handy tape measure can't verify. Negotiated a good price for the haul. Staff are friendly, but are dumbfounded when I told them I don't have car, and intend to bring it all home with two arms--they did offer to loan me a dolly. Do be amazed at the quality and beauty of the furniture they source and sell. Don't be amazed by how quickly that table or couch you've been eyeing online have just been sold to a guy who literally walked away with it.

Yelp
G.U.F.F has impeccable taste when it comes to picking out quality vintage goods for resale in-store. I fall in love with something every time I walk in. I bought the most beautiful old school desk at G.U.F.F. earlier this year for an surprisingly reasonable price. It's absolutely charming but a little awkward to move, so the staffer let me borrow their dolly to cart home. (Very cool). I highly recommend G.U.F.F for your next used/vintage furniture purchase.

Yelp
If you have a penchant for mid-century Danish furniture, remember the name GUFF. I recently bought a vintage walnut credenza that took care of some home organizational issues. It had a simple but unique design with tapered legs, was in great condition and it was within my price range. I don't have a car but for a minimal flat fee, the staff arranged to have it delivered within the week. GUFF specializes in mid-century Danish style furniture, but you can also find art deco or industrial items. For resale/used furniture, their prices are reasonable and their turnover is high. If you're looking for something specific, my advice is to check their blog daily. If you see something you like, pounce on it; otherwise, baby, it's gone.

Yelp
Best used/vintage furniture store in the city, hands down. Simply, their prices are actually reasonable! This means their turnover of items is extremely high, so you need to check in and check in often. They update their website frequently, but chances are if you see something you like online, it'll be gone before you even get down to the store. Over the past few months, I've bought a great steamer trunk, my desk, and my kitchen chairs all from GUFF - needless to say, my place looks pretty fuckin' great.

Yelp
GUFF almost sounds like GRUFF, and it's anything but! GUFF has been satiating my needs for Mid Century Modern design for sometime now. They've tremendously helped with my living room, dining room and bedroom! Their collection is very Scandinavian yet quite eclectic, a mix of uptown and downtown if you may: Eames and Wegner peacefully cohabit with Broyhill and Lauren. GUFF could do with some more range though. I guess space constraints preclude bigger pieces from making an appearance. The pieces range from the very good to great condition, and staff is upfront about patina and other signs of age on the furniture. GUFF's prices are very fair and considerably more affordable than QWAC, Bungalow and the ilk. GUFF's customer service is amazeballs! John, Chris, Shawna et al. have been very accommodating: they've kept the store open past closing time so that I could schlep to their Lesliville location after work, they've been great in sourcing things and letting me know when something I wanted showed up and their delivery guys have always been on time and in good spirits! GUFF is the David to Ikea's Goliath!

Yelp
This is a cool store full of vintage furniture! Nice variation of retro photos, tables, chairs, cabinets, etc. not crowded and very clean furniture, staff were helpful with giving me the background on the items we were interested in. We were given fast, affordable delivery options to choose from, our table was set up to be delivered the next day. Delivery guys were fast, friendly and professional! I couldn't have asked for better service! All items were priced fairly well. This is our new favourite vintage shop! Parking is easy, located out in the front of store.

Yelp
This gem in the Leslieville area is great for anyone looking to improve their home decor. They always get in great pieces for the bedroom, dining room, kitchen and so on. They have you covered! The most positive thing about GUFF, other than their friendly owner and staff, is how they have embraced the online movement of reaching their customers through things like a blog, social media, etc. They recently built a brand new blog and I have to say it looks great. Who said furniture couldn't look attractive online? Hot Stuff! For the past few months they have also been posting their stuff on a local marketplace website called www.bulletinboardfurniture.com/. This local start up specializes in the buying and selling of furniture in the GTA. GUFF has jumped all over this website; really its just another avenue for their product to reach new customers. Personally, not embracing the internet and getting inventory in front of browsers is what has been holding small furniture businesses back. There are so many places that they can do this and more importantly, it's totally FREE! Cheers to GUFF for take the lead.

Yelp
I've been checking their blog for months and sighing over all the gorgeous teak furniture on offer, but I'm so rarely in the neighborhood that I'd never checked the store out before. Their prices are extremely reasonable and the selection is great, and unlike many second-hand furniture stores, the place doesn't feel cluttered or overwhelming at all. This place is definitely worth a stop--even if you don't think you need anything, you'll find something delightful that'll make you mentally rearrange your living room to see if you can justify bringing it home.

Anastacia B.

Yelp
There were a few pieces here that were good, but nothing I was trying to figure out how to ship it back to the states. There were plenty of things that were mid-century. I have a feeling it's one of those places you have to pop into and be the first in to get some finds.

SB M.

Yelp
I hope this positive review doesn't attract too many competing buyers, but we have to give credit to the GUFF team - these are very nice guys, reasonable prices for good furniture, will give you a deal if you buy a couple of items, and they always showed up on time and did a good job when we had them deliver something. The only problem with the place is that their stuff moves FAST - if you want something you've got to keep an eye out for it via their blog and get over there when you see something you might want.

Tomas G.

Yelp
We have sold some surplus teak furniture to Guff. We have received a very fair price and they were extremely easy to deal with.

SM K.

Yelp
Excellent selection - and regular posting on their blog which helps if you're not close enough to browse all the time. I have a coffee table and two side tables which I got from two separate trips, and they were SO easy to deal with for delivery. Prompt, totally friendly, and no dawdling. Love this spot!

Pam J.

Yelp
I've never had as much fun shopping anywhere as at GUFF. The young man on staff was helpful and well-informed (and, without our asking, called management to get us a discount when he saw how much we were spending). The merchandise was varied and plentiful. There's something for every budget. They even gave us a deal on delivery to a town an hour's drive away. The furniture is good, used-furniture quality, and the prices are reasonable. If you're looking for museum-quality vintage furniture, this isn't the place for you, but if you're interested in good quality at an affordable prices, you owe it to yourself to stop in here for a look around.
