Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken

Some of the best fried chicken in Los Angeles, hands-down. Also, some of the best mac & cheese that I’ve ever had! They have two locations, this one and another up in Burbank. As you might guess they are famous for their chicken both fried and tenders. They have a ton of great side options to choose from, as well as, delicious sweet tea and desserts. Inside was a lot larger than I was expecting, they have many different sized tables that can host many differentsized groups. Our server was extremely polite and super fast with the drink refills and checking in on us. They have a small free parking lot behind the restaurant, but it was filled with some bad parkers, so I had to find a space on the street, which I was able to do for 6PM Sunday dinner. The chicken is very crispy, but seasoned perfectly and was juicy as it could be. I chose the 3 Piece White Meal which is 2 breasts and 1 wing with baked beans and cole slaw on the side. I also added a side of the Mac N Cheese which was amazing, some of the best I have had in a long time. We also started the meal with Fried Green Tomatoes and Fried Pickles and both were addictingly good. An all-around great spot to have a comfort food meal. The chicken is better than I expected and honestly, I wish I could eat this place all the time. I will definitely be back in the near future because a delicious chicken spot is hard to find.

Hey everyone, so the parking is extremely limited. The restaurant is cozy and gives you like an old diner vibe. I did not use the restroom, I did pick up. I ordered the 8 piece special, with greens and Mac and cheese and fries , and it was very delicious. It was seasoned very well and still hot when I brought it home. I will definitely order again.

Chicken and fries are the bomb. Cole slaw was watery and mac n cheese is good. I wish they wouldn't put pork in beans and greens ... I couldn't eat them because of pork. I wish they offered wheat bread, not only white bread. Parking is difficult...park on the street ... it's better. The waitress Carolina was friendly and welcoming.

So I came to pick up a door dash for Gina R and I arrived at around 3:09 pm I asked for the order I was assisted by a waitress she was nice but waiting 40 mins for an online order which was just 3 pieces of Chicken and 2 sides the cooks must be slow because the wait for 40 minutes in a half empty place with only a few customers is a reflection of the management and it shows a lot I would never come here to eat with service like this also they gave me the wrong order. Would not recommend any one too go here

First of the all the cashier who had the teddy bear sweater on was very pleasant and extremely cute 😍. She gave my mother and I a sample of the Mac and cheese which I liked. She shared a laugh or two with us I see why they have her working the register. The parking is limited but the food is delicious and worth it. The inside is spacious with several clean tables and chairs if you choose to dine in. The sweet Potato pie was an extra bonus we got in our order and let me tell yall it's 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. I ha e no complaints about the atmosphere, customer service, or the food.

Excellent, spicy fried chicken. Easily the best I’ve ever had, and the pieces were large. I also had the fried okra, which was perfectly crisp. The baked beans were just the right amount of sweetness with a little bit of spice. Parking is extremely limited. Google maps shows a larger parking lot, but most of it is restricted to the residents of the building next door. You may need to park on the street and walk if you come during the busy time. Also, the restaurant is on the small side, so be prepared for a wait if they are busy.

Gus is consistent! The highlight is the chicken and it is always crispy, has a nice spicy kick and juicy. The best side to choose, in my opinion, the greens! Them greens are bomb! Succulent, flavorful...just always on point. Service is fast and friendly. Keep in mind that because of the location, parking is kind of hard. The back spaces state that they're for take-out only. Other than that, I recommend it!
