Gypsy Place - Review - Cambridge - Boston - The Infatuation

"Surprisingly, there aren’t too many coffee shops in Boston that also offer fresh smoothies and bowls with açaí and other all-healing superfruits. Gypsy Place has both of those things, served in a cozy space with couches and numerous throw pillows. If there were more regular tables (instead of high tops with bar stools), this would be a contender for one of our go-to working coffee shops." - Joel Ang

A Cafe and Juice Bar Will Open Across From a Popular Cambridge Beer Bar - Eater Boston

"Greater Boston’s enduring juice wave continues to prove its strength, this time in Cambridge. Gypsy Café and Juice Bar is headed for 90 Hampshire St., southeast of Inman Square and across the street from the popular beer bar Lord Hobo. Manager Petya Todorova goes before the city’s licensing commission on Wednesday, March 28, to get approval for the cafe, which will seat 20. If approved, Gypsy Café and Juice Bar could operate seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to Cambridge licensing documents." - Dana Hatic

Just learned about this cozy coffee shop & won't be going anywhere else! Coffee: Iced Caramel Latte is hands-down the BEST coffee I've had. I thought I'd never give up my addiction to the Starbucks Caramel Frappuccino but little did I know. If you want your caffeine fix with a subtle hint of caramel in a drink that is not over-sweetened, this is it. Breakfast: Highly recommend the Breakfast Sandwich with eggs & cheese. It's a perfect blend of complimenting flavors that don't overpower each other! The avocado spread was magically spiced- YUM! Atmosphere: love , love, love the decor! Truly has a gypsy, free soul vibe (also gave me some plant decoration inspiration for my own place). If you're looking to get some work done this is the perfect spot: quiet, welcoming & clean. Also worth mentioning that I was not dreading a public toilet for once: spotless! Service: It's been a challenge to work from home so I came here to be productive for a few hours but pretty much ended up spending the whole day & forgot about closing time until the staff began cleaning up. As I hurried to pack, one of the baristas told me there is no need to rush. Also, a couple people walked in just before closing time & were actually welcomed very nicely -I would have been annoyed & rushing to clock out- just saying! I was so impressed with this place I checked out their website and just have to add that the description really spoke to me. I officially have a favorite coffee shop.

It’s been like forever that I have been dying for a good coffee shop with great avocado toast and mocha and more importantly a great vibe and atmosphere. Gypsy Place Coffee Shop literally tops them all. My friend and I visited this place for a breakfast meetup during a Thursday morning and were able to secure ourself a very comfortable sofa. We were there for two hours and really had an extremely enjoyable experience. We were shocked that for only $10 we got like 4 pieces of avocado toast (super cheap literally if you live in Boston). Their coffee art was also very uplifting. I really liked the taste of my mocha. I will definitely check them out in my future bike rides. The staffs were also very friendly and helpful. Located on New Hampshire street which is like 15 minutes walking away from Central Square.

I spent a weekday morning on a nice day sitting outside here, and it was wonderful. The employees were nice and everything felt prompt. Inside the cafe had a wide range of sitting experiences from stools at a window bar, to normal cafe table seating, to comfy-looking couches. The menu feels deep but you are still going to get something with quality and love. I got an avocado toast and a large iced latte. The avocado was in a spread form with chopped add-ins which is probably the best way to do this dish for the number of ingredients. The bread size is nice and it was two slices which justifies the price point in my eyes. I really enjoyed the latte, and it was served in a handled mason jar. It was really enjoyable to consume all of this while watching the plethora of bike commuters make it seem like there is a bike traffic issue but is actually moving smoothly.

Nice and cozy place with a warm vibe. Cafe is located in a very easily accessible area and has enough seating area. The place has very young vibe and gives you energy. They make mean juices and awesome smoothies. Food is ok, ok! I would have rated them higher if they had made my coffee well. My cappuccino wasn’t ready for 15 mins until I reminded them of it. I have ad better cappuccino, even at chain coffee shops. Coffee was flat and felt like Espresso shot was allowed to expire. Overall good ambiance, experience and juices. Limited by coffee and food

A small local cafe with relaxed atmosphere and rustic interior. I’ve been coming to Gypsy coffee for their açaí bowls and drinks. Their seating area somewhat reminds me of common areas in college dorms, so I enjoyed taking my friends here to hang out. I also like that they don’t put a lot of sugar into their drinks or the bowls which gives them a more refreshing aftertaste. However, the fruit toppings on the bowls are optional, and the bowls can become quite expensive. So far, my favorite has been the opal bowl, but make sure to add some fruits as their default seed and goji berry toppings can give a slightly dry texture.

Atmosphere: 2 of 2 Stars Food: 2 of 2 Stars Staff: 1 of 1 Star SUMMARY: My wife and I were in Cambridge on 11/12 and wanted to ensure we started our day with a healthy and fulfilling meal. We came across this Juice bar via a google search and I have to say, neither of us were disappointed. The food, juices & smoothies were refreshing and delicious. In addition to taste, they were all prepared same day! We would both highly recommend this Juice Bar to anyone looking to start their day with gratifying and nutritious foods. ATMOSPHERE: The Gypsy Place is conveniently located on the corner of Hampshire St. and Windsor St. They have a small section of outdoor seating and a little dog bowl for any passing thirsty K9s. Inside was decorated in such a way that it was not only obvious that it was a cafe but it also had a chill, zen, hipster flair as well. The live plants, boho furniture and contemporary wall art, all made the environment very calming (which is a win for a fast paced coffee shop). My wife and I are spiritual people so we had a major bias of appreciation for the Hamsa logo they created. FOOD: My wife ordered the Acai Bowl and a Jade Juice while I ordered the Omelette along with the Topaz Smoothie. The bowl and juice came out fairly quick while my omelette and smoothie took a bit longer which wasn't surprising given the made-to-order, fresh style. The drinks were sincerely revitalizing and the food was tasty! STAFF: The staff were efficient in the order intake and output. Overall they did they're jobs as expected. If there was any room for improvement, in my opinion, it would be to have a more welcoming presence whether it's with a genuine smile when customers approach the counter or a "have a great day" after they pick up their food. These small gestures go a long way in tying together an already great establishment.

I love this café and that used to be a cafés to go to all the time to do my reading and writing and work and meeting with friends and literally any other reason. The staff is so wonderful and helpful and kind and after getting to know them over time it really feels like a family. The food is amazing and made with such love and care and smoothies are the bomb.

Highly recommend the omelette if you want something more savory (ask for the kayo on the side, as the flavor overwhelms the egg a bit.) Pairs nicely with a toasted bagel and cream cheese. Acai bowls are great too!
