Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ Review - Brickell - Miami - The Infatuation

"Gyu-Kaku is a Japanese barbecue restaurant in Brickell, and one of those places where you cook your own meat, seafood, or veggies on a little grill in the center of the table. This happens to be one of the few spots in Miami where you can do that, which is why it can be a good weeknight dinner or casual date spot to mix things up, especially if you’re sick of the many expensive, upscale restaurants in Brickell. Just don’t expect the best Japanese barbecue you’ve ever had. The food hovers around average to slightly above average, and the atmosphere is a little too dull for us to suggest coming here when you want a fun night out." - Ryan Pfeffer

14 Outstanding South Florida Japanese Restaurants That Go Beyond Sushi | Eater Miami

"Few things are better than meat that has come off the grill only seconds before taking a bite. Gyu-Kaku is a national chain specializing in yakiniku dining with locations in Miami and Pinecrest. This type of restaurant allows diners to grill meat themselves at the table. The concept is similar to Korean barbecue, but the flavors are all Japanese. The restaurants feature a la carte, as well as set price menus." - Carlos Olaechea

Google
this restaurant easily became my favorite in miami!!! service was amazing, our incredible waitress, tesla, was perfectly attentive. there was so much food for the price and i feel that this is one of the best places to get a good amount of food for the price!!

Google
The food was above average , we ordered the meat lovers. The salad had no type of dressing it was completely dry not appealing. The miso was definitely a 6/10. The cold rice meat sushi was disappointing. The rice was tasteless and dry. The customer service was fantastic, Kevin our waiter was a 10/10 very professional and patient. The meat was delicious not all the selection but most of it. Please place salt and pepper on the tables for extra seasoning.

Google
Great place to come with a big group. All steak was great and staff friendly. Desserts were terrible. But besides that everything was great. Fried rice very good. Place not fancy

Google
Went here for dinner with my family and we all had a great time here. The amount of food we ordered was perfect, we ordered the set for 2 and some additional meat, even though it’s for 4 people, but it was all worth the price. The service was excellent, and food was great! Most of the beef are super tender and definitely worth a try!🥩⭐️

This is a great experience. Something fun to do with a group. If you are going with a group is highly recommended to reserve a table in advance. We were 9 people, no reservation on a weekend and had to wait for anout an hour to get the table. Once inside, the restaurant is bigger that what I expected, had to turn twice walking to get to our table. They have 3 all you can ear options with the cheapest one been $58 per person, and if you are in a group and want any of these options, everyone in the table has to get the same all you can eat, can’t have a mix of choices unless everyone does a la carte. The explanation on how it works was a little confusing at the beginning, cause you have 90 minutes once they bring the first dish, but they can only bring two items from the all you can eat at a time for you to cook. Prices for the drinks were normal for a restaurant, $14-$16 for cocktails, the strawberry margarita was actually pretty good. The food itself was very tasty. The pork gyozas and spring rolls were delicious. The meats were very well marinated, tender, and a lot of variety on the items you can choose. Overall a great way to spend a night with friends!

Google
Amazing experience at Gyu-Kaku! The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a great meal. The food was fresh and delicious, and the flavors were outstanding. A special shoutout to our server, Ana—she was super attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Very good food and experience. Had a good waitress and good service, thank you Tesla! Dessert was fire!

Google
The food is fantastic, but the service takes it to another level. If you're lucky enough to have Cecilia as your server, you're in for a treat. She's kind, funny, and has excellent tableside manners—she truly makes the dining experience memorable

Yelp
Whether solo, with a friend, or a whole crew, this place never disappoints! Fun atmosphere, comfy seating, and a diverse menu make it a crowd-pleaser. And oh yeah "who doesn't like to cook their own food, then tip someone else for it?" -asked my friends Andy. Drinks are on point, service is always stellar, and I leave satisfied every time. For large groups, the bundle dinner for six is a feast that feels endless!

Yelp
I've been coming every week to this restaurant because I really like the food. However the service this time was bad. The server forgot half of our food and we were charged for it, then we needed to remind her to take it off. Hope this will change the next time. All in all I still love this place.

Yelp
My family and I went here to celebrate my baby brother's birthday and we all enjoyed our time there. The rice was everyone's favorite item, the server mixed it at the table in a clay pot! it was so good. We had a larger group so they placed us in one of those semi-private rooms, it was quite lovely. It provided that intimate dining experience that we wanted for our celebration. For dessert, we enjoyed the classic Smore & some mochi.

Yelp
My recent visit to Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ left me with mixed feelings. The restaurant itself is a great spot for lunch, dinner dates, or small groups, with a nice ambiance and good happy hour deals to enjoy. The concept of cooking your own food at the table added a fun and interactive element to the meal, and the dishes we ordered, including the flavorful meats, delicious fried rice, and tasty salad, did not disappoint. However, there were some drawbacks to note. The parking situation in Brickell was challenging, and even with a reservation, we had to wait 15 minutes for a table despite there being no apparent crowd. Once seated, the service was a bit slow in terms of getting greeted, which was a bit disappointing. The prices at Gyu-Kaku are on the higher end compared to similar Japanese BBQ restaurants, and the portion sizes and options felt limited for the cost, making it feel a bit overpriced for what was offered. While the food quality was enjoyable, the overall dining experience fell slightly short due to the waiting times, pricing, and portion size. Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ is a decent choice for a unique dining experience, but better value could be found at other similar establishments in the area.

Yelp
Great service and food! Went for the Miami Spice lunch special. I was greeted and seated right away. The server was very polite and gave great recommendations. The food was awesome. Never can go wrong with Japanese BBQ. I have a lychee gin mojito which was tasty with my meal. Had a great time.

Yelp
I was so excited to have my first Japanese bbq experience and Guy Kaku did not disappoint. The options are great from sides to main meats. I had some sake to go along with it all and it was a sweet touch to the meal. We went with the all you can eat for $58 per person and we thought it was a good choice for first timers in order to get a feel for many cuts of meat. The service was great, our waitress was super detailed and easy to talk to for whatever we needed. We loved the vibe of the place it was perfect for a date night and the overall experience gave us different things to talk about. We were definitely in the moment and loving everything about this place. We will definitely be back but with friends and family.

Yelp
This Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ spot is located in Brickell in a very central area. I've been here a couple of times and specifically love coming here for the lunch specials. If I ever do the all you can eat, I always leave extremely full and spending a pretty penny so I love how filling and affordable the lunch special and happy hour prices are here! You can find the happy hour prices in red on the menu. I will say, the menu is always super overwhelming here and a little hard to navigate. They also have standing mini signs on the table with more menu items and dessert so it feels a bit over stimulating but I feel like everything is great across the board. This past visit, I came here for lunch with a friend and we both got the beef sukiyaki fried rice bowl which comes in a hot stone bowl. We opted for the combo which came with a salad and miso soup. It was basically paying the regular price of the bowl but adding a salad and soup for free which I feel was a great deal. Other times I've dined here, I've gotten the BBQ to grill and still got the hot stone bowl for an additional cost and this is extremely filling. The service was friendly and pretty speedy. Good to keep in mind if you're coming here for a mid-workday lunch break.

Yelp
The best cheese wontons in the business. House sake, lychee sake delectable. Garlic rice and garlic noodle combo is a must. Special shout out to Sofia for being the absolute best server. The best music selection as well.

Yelp
I can't believe I've never reviewed Guy-Kaku before!! I've been coming here for years, and the food always delivers. The service is almost always great, but you can have a server having a bad day every so often. This is actually a great place to bring new people or people you want to get to know better, because it gives you the perfect atmosphere to have great conversations, especially since you're waiting for your food to cook. Now onto the food, you honestly can't go wrong, as everything is good, but I will share some things I personally don't like to do. I never order the courses with a bunch of things because it comes with a bunch of stuff you might not like, at a higher cost than ordering a la carte. We also don't order veggies, just because they take forever to cook and takes up precious real estate to cook the star of the meal, your protein! We personally love the egg soup, which has declined a bit in quality over the years, but is still pretty darn good. I also recommend the Tuna Crispy Rice, Tuna Pone Nachos, Gyozas, and Miso Chili Wings (amazing!!!). The avocado salad is also a nice and light option to start and tastes great. We normally share a Garlic Rice and a Garlic Noodles, which are both amazing. Regarding proteins, we've tried A LOT of the different options, but we always come back to some staples: Toro Beef and Bistro Hanger Steak. If you haven't tried it, do yourself a favor and give it a shot. I doubt you'll regret it.

Yelp
Amazin place! The food is always so fresh. Love how many options they have. Even if you are a picky eater, you will find something you like. Fun for any occasion

Yelp
Gyu Kaku is usually a 5 star experience. This location - every time - 1 star. They really have no service and no appreciation for their paying customers. My second time at this location was last week. I see that their hours are nowl listed to close at 11:45PM. I'm guessing that's suppose to be 12AM but they want you to walk in by 11:45PM. I walk in at 11PM and there's open tables and lots of tables that need to be bussed. The hostess immediately asks if I have a reservation in which I reply no. So she asks me to step aside and she asks the next party if they have a reservation. They also say no. She then proceeds to sit us at one of the open tables. The table we were seated at had an open flame - no grill over it. The server took forever to come over so it left an open charcoal flame in the middle of the table for about 10 minutes. When the server came, she noticed and put a grill over. She took our drink orders. When we eventually ordered, we had a short wait until the food started hitting the table. Huge disappointment. The portions look smaller than the other Gyu-Kaku places I've been to with higher prices. The grilled corn cheese came over like soup. I immediately asked the server if this was correct. She said yes. I asked her to confirm if she's seen this dish before and she said yes. I then asked her if she's seen the dish like this - soupy - and if it's correct again. She said yes it comes like this. I told her that wasn't correct and someone was definitely lacking oven time because this was complete soup. She took it back and brought it back a few minutes later. Again, very watery. I didn't ask for them to take it off the check but I knew exactly what was going on. Everyone in the restaurant was busy cleaning up and getting ready for closing, that they were lacking on taking care of their customers and their orders. We got our check at the end and the restaurant already tacked on 18% tip on a party of 2. Kind of ridiculous and I was annoyed but even still we provided additional tip as it's holiday season. Will I be returning to this location? No.

Nicole P.

Yelp
Albany was fantastic! Her drinks were spot-on, and her friendly, attentive service made our visit even better. She knows her drinks/food and gave great recommendations. If you want excellent service and great food, Albany at Gyu-kaku is the way to go! Will be returning!

Jorge R.

Yelp
It was our first time here, we are in town due to the hurricane hitting Tampa so we decided to give it a try and I was impressed with how good everything was. The food does hand to hand with the service will definitely be back next time I'm in town. Thank you Pedro for making our experience a fantastic one.

Claudia S.

Yelp
Great experience my kids absolutely loved it! We snagged the dinner for 4. Tons of food for us although my husband thought if it were 4 adults it would be too much.
google avatar

Mayako N.

Yelp
We had 3 meat lunch specials. The service was a bit slow and we had to wait for our server even though we were the first one at the restaurant. We upgraded the meat and rice. My husband loved the sukiyaki rice bowl. But I think you don't really have to upgrade meats since you can't really tell which meat you are eating. Haha By the time we left, the place was busy.

Yelp
Amazing chill spot with lots of food! Waiter was very attentive and informative. Gave us all the yummy options. Everything was yumm
google avatar

Evelyn W.

Yelp
While the service can be better and the food is pretty subpar it's a convenient meal. The music can be a bit too loud. I was not a fan of the Tokyo tea was not really good and had too much midoro. The cream cheese wontons and edamame were really good. I do wish the garlic rice portion was bigger.
google avatar

Cristina C.

Yelp
The meat was well portioned for five people. The assortment of appetizers were great and were tasty. The sauces provided added nice flavor to the meat. The service here is awesome, or waiter was very kind. The grilling experience was amazing and great for the kids. This restaurant is good for groups or families to eat at together. For the amount of food we got, the price was great. The desert was phenomenal and has great variety as well. Would definitely recommend and my family will be coming back!

Yelp
I'm so excited they have Gyu in Miami as I've only had it in the west coast. This location was clean, plenty of space, and attentive staff who were able to provide my cousin with recommendations based on his taste preferences. Parking is either on the street or nearby garage parking. Kind of silly that we went there for non-bbq items this trip but we ordered Ramen, Takoyaki, the fried crispy rice with salmon, and cream cheese wontons/rangoons. I also ordered a mango sour drink (with alcohol) and that was a 5/5!! It was also happy hour (that day was before 5PM) so that's a bonus. I am a Takoyaki enthusiast and was happy with taste, texture, and presentation of it :) Overall this location is comparable to other locations however, I'm just sad their ramen egg was over cooked and not jelly-like yolk.
google avatar

Dan Asher D.

Yelp
I tried this Japanese BBQ spot for the first time, and it was really good. It's similar to Korean BBQ, but they grill the meat over open fire. I went for the regular menu, thinking they'd give a lot of meat per order, but I was wrong. I should've gone for the all-you-can-eat option. Still, the meats were tasty, and the servers were attentive. Just be careful because the place doesn't seem to have good ventilation, so it gets smoky and smelly. Despite that, it's definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
It's been a long time since we visited Gyu-Kaku mainly because they closed the Las Vegas location. We missed the food and the great vibes. We were on a trip in Miami and saw this place pop up. I couldn't be more excited! Unfortunately they did not offer AYCE option during this time. It was a weekend and past 8pm. The only time available was about 10pm and we thought it was worth the wait and it was. Despite not having ayce the 3 of us meat lovers got a pre-fixed package that was $120 and there was plenty for 3 ppl. We were lucky 1 of our friend is a vegetarian so she ordered a few vegan items she liked. She ordered vegetable ramen, salad, roasted shishito peppers and side of corn and she was happy The 3 of us on the other hand stuffed our faces with beef brisket, beef tongue, pork belly, shrimps, ribeye among others. There was also shishito peppers, salad, mushrooms plus dessert included!! S'mores! I of course washed it all down with my lychee mojito. Honestly they need to add more lychee juice tho cuz it was too light. Delicious and refreshing nonetheless. We all walked out happy and went for a nice walk to burn it all off or so I hoped lol wonderful evening. Thank you for feeding us Gyu-Kaku!

Yelp
Terrible service. Lazy employees. Empty restaurant. Maybe they need to rest their guests better
google avatar

Chaveli G.

Yelp
We really enjoyed this location, the surrounding areas it's a terrible place but once your inside it's a complete different vibe/ambience. The food there is amazing how they season the meat and the service is also very good. We tasted they're alcoholic drinks for the first time and it was delicious. They're bundled menu is worth every penny as you get lots of different option for meats and even deserts. The price is worth what you order. I've gone to Orlando location and here and they're both worth trying.
google avatar

CidMa C.

Yelp
I love this place! It was my first time coming here, and I made reservations two days in advance since they had limited spots. We chose a meal for four, and the food just kept coming out. Just when we thought it was over, more meat arrived. We had a wonderful time, and the food was fantastic. The price was worth the amount of food you received

Ingrid C.

Yelp
The food is always soooo good we tend to go for a late night dinner and it's always a great time! Sofia was our server the last time and she's great. She's attentive to detail and always makes sure we have everything we need super attentive! The vibes are always great!
google avatar

Dan R.

Yelp
Really enjoyed our meal. We got the meat lovers package and there was so much meat!! Even though not all meat had marinate most of them still tasted sweet. There were only 2 meats that did not have flavor which is my typical choice. I enjoy adding my salt and pepper but my boyfriend was in love with every bite. It was pretty crowded so we did not see our server so much but it was overall a good experience.
google avatar

Sophie S.

Yelp
I love this place for many reasons. It is an affordable price, you pay for what you get and more! The service is always quick, friendly, and helpful. And everything on the menu is good. Also it's always happy hour pricing if you sit at the bar! The last time I was there we sat at the bar and had bites. The chili chicken wings were so flavorful, crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside- yum! Garlic noodles are hard to mess up. Also had the spicy cabbage salad which was so much better than expected. Very crunchy and salty! Spicy tuna volcano roll always hits we get it every time the rice is crispy and tuna is fresh!
google avatar

Fabiola P.

Yelp
The food was delicious I got the seaweed soup it ate like can y'all send me some frozen please. It was kind of quick service but the server was very sweet and quick . The vibe of the restaurant was nice love that you get natural late from the outside . Omg it's a nice
google avatar

Yelp
Great servers, food tasted good, and the ambiance is ok for a group of people. It's a bit pricey but you will get your fill and make yourself full.

Yelp
Make sure you make a reservation on OpenTable or their app as they are strict with allowing walk ins during peak times. You'll be waiting. For those who have never been, you order a bunch of raw meats and veggies and grill them yourself on a grill in the center of the table. I always go with the Harami Skirt Steak Pot. It's an uncut skirt steak and they provide scissors to cut it into strips for your grill. It pairs great when dipped into the spicy orange sauce on the table. The pot also comes with 2 shishito peppers which are low/medium heat so you don't need to order any if you had it in mind. Put the grill on full blast and let them char up a bit. Service is good and pricing is good although the pot is not available on happy hour pricing. Finish off with smores for dessert where you'll be roasting your marshmallow on the open flame. Make sure you download their app and start collecting points if you decide to be a regular. Also, you'll need this app to leave reviews of your experience. When you ask to leave a review, you get rewarded with a free edamame, spring rolls or an order of s'mores at the end of the meal, so don't forget to ask.

Yelp
Had a great time at Gyu-Kaku in Brickell! The food was delicious, especially the Korean BBQ options which were fun to grill at the table. The service was attentive and friendly, ensuring a smooth experience. The ambiance was lively and inviting, perfect for a fun night out. Highly recommend!

Yelp
What can I say, I'm hooked. It's reasonably priced, delicious cuts and never disappoints. Staff of nice and friendly and helpful with suggestions. Place is simple and divided for privacy. Not a bad place for a first date, simple and casual. Easy concept, pick your meats. Easy to grill and order your sides. Love coming here.
google avatar

Landy G.

Yelp
After months of wanting to try this place I finally made a reservation and checked it out. Definitely a fun and hectic experience but in a good way. The cooking your meats gets tiring but it was fun. The meats were all delicious. The noodles were definitely the star of the show. They were so good. They brought us out complimentary garlic rice since they were backed up and it was great too. Parking kinda sucks being that it is brickell so we had pay $30 at a nearby lot but that's expected. I still really enjoyed my dinner here and plan to go back. Also I must mention the service was excellent. Our server Camilo was always checking up on us and very attentive.
google avatar

Shirley F.

Yelp
Love the concept of this restaurant; sitting in front of the bbq and grilling your choice of meats. Love that the meats are seasoned and you are in control of the cook times. While you're grilling meats and veggies you can still order cooked sides like my faves which are the rice and noodles. The drinks never miss but my favorites are the coconut mojitos, lychee martinis and lemon drop martinis. Thursday's ladies drink FREE with a food purchase of $50. Tip the bartenders ladies! They also have great happy hour specials as well as lunch deals.
google avatar

Joanna V.

Yelp
We came in on a Thursday night and sat at the bar. Much to our surprise it was ladies night. So we stayed at the bar. If you consume $25 pp all other house cocktails/beer/wine is free (for ladies). We ordered a lot of different appetizers and one or two mains and shared everything between a group of 5. This is bar none one of the best deals I've seen in Miami. All the food was good. LOVED the rice and the garlic cabbage. The bartender Albany was super sweet and attentive. I will come back to try the bbq as it smelled delicious!
google avatar

Revati B.

Yelp
We had Andrea as our server. She was so sweet and extra accommodating. Really guided us through the options and advised accordingly. I do appreciate that the there isn't smoke everywhere as you cook. We selected the $240 combo for 4 people. This was plenty food. Includes sides, meats and dessert The fried rice and noodles that were the sides were super flavorful and yummy. As well as the salad. The waygu was sooooo buttery and delicious. I wish there was more of that lol My least favorite part was the matcha tiramisu. Just too much matcha, and almost frozen. Our server did let us swoop for the pictures Included and those were great! I have to say I prefer Korean BBQ though. The space is great for party's of 6 and is a fun experience every now and again.
google avatar

Nola F.

Yelp
We had a delicious meal here. Our server was very friendly and efficient. I liked the salad and the shrimp appetizer especially. The miso soup was a bit bland. The steak with rice appetizer was OK. I wish Inremembered even half the names of the meats but they are not typical names. I loved all of the meats except for the fatty one. It resembles bacon but it was too fatty for me so we switched it out for shrimp. The shrimp was excellent. You cook your meal and it is fun. You can cook it exactly to your liking so that is great. My Margarita was pretty tasty. I really enjoyed the smore's dessert and wish there was more of it. This is a unique place to eat in Brickell or really anywhere. I highly recommend it.
google avatar

David Z.

Yelp
Hands down one of the best Korean bbq joints in Miami. Been coming to this spot for over a decade and it doesn't disappoint. Get the wings to start and order the short rib as a main, plus all the other proteins too.
google avatar

Victoria S.

Yelp
Generally, I love coming to eat here, it's a little on the pricier side but so worth it. Unfortunately the service is so bad. Greeter is rude, our server was nice but kept forgetting everything, had to remind him 3 times for water and more napkins. Then he brought everyone's rice out except mine, I didn't say anything because at that point I was over it. My rice ended up coming halfway into the meal, about 2 rounds of meat.
google avatar

Sibel M.

Yelp
Came to this location for the first time with my husband yesterday at 1pm and came back to our hotel feeling the worst. We realized quickly we got food poisoning so the last day of our Miami trip got ruined. We're from Chicago and have been to the location there many many times and have had no issues so this is clearly an issue with the quality of food at this Miami location. We haven't been able to eat anything else all day. Imagine how angry we are considering we have a flight at 6am but have been throwing up all night. Stay away from this location!!!
google avatar

Luisa J.

Yelp
Love this place with a passion. Every time we're in Miami we come here because of how much we love it. Coming from SoCal this has been one of our favorite restaurants. The service here is great. Our waiter Jorge was super friendly, attentive, and such a help. We hope to have him every time we come. We love the all you can eat option. Prices have def increased since two years ago though. Use to be about half the price which is a shame. One of my favorite items here is the tuna crispy rice , soooo amazing. The toro and short rib are also our favorites. We cannot wait to come back again.

Yelp
Korean style food where everyone cooks according to their own way and taste from meat to seafood to vegetables with either with marinade or plain and finishing with s'mores dessert At least 2 hours needed or so... They have the option of all you can eat or a la carte ( both are great but I prefer the a la carte where you pick and choose especially if you're not a big eater LOL) Service was good and ambiance is very nice Recommend

Yelp
I honestly really just love this restaurant and after finding out that Sundays have happy hour all day, I love it even more. We arrived a little earlier than our scheduled reservation time and were told we would have to wait a little, which was totally fine so we sat and waited in the bar. There was maybe only 3 more people sitting at the bar and the bartender did not seem to be busy at all, but it took us around 10 minutes to even be approached. We ordered 2 drinks, closed out our tab and then we're called to our table. The service this time around was honestly not the best, especially at the bar. The server we had at the table was attentive and made the experience a lot better. At the table we ordered the fried cheese wontons and the black pepper wings as appetizers. The black pepper wings were honestly amazing! They had the perfect amount of crunchiness as well as flavor. Both appetizers were very good. For drinks we ordered the Lychee Gin Mojito, the Lychee-tini, & the Lychee Bellini. The Lychee-tini was my favorite, it was strong but sweet at the same time. For meats we ordered the Harami in secret pot, Bistro Hanger Steak, Premium Sirloin, Filet Mignon, and the Umakara Yaki Beef. We also ordered the Beef Sukiyaki Bibimbap to accompany all the protein and it was incredibly delicious! All the meats came in a reasonable portion and tasted great when cooked. Special shout-out for the Harami in secret pot, it was a big piece of meat and came with scissors for you to cut up into smaller pieces. It was the star of the show, and it was definitely worth the price. They always have 3 different sauces on the table for you to dip your meat in, which are all tasty. Since we went during happy hour, all the items we ordered (except the secret pot) were on special. The drinks were around $4 off. The food we ordered was around $1-$2 off. The atmosphere throughout the venue is relaxed, the noise level in the bar is average, whereas in the table the ambiance is more private and intimate. This is the perfect place to come on dates with your special someone or with friends and family. Definitely recommend making a reservation prior to going, especially if it's on a weekend or busy time.

Yelp
This is my all time favorite restaurant. The food here is always top tier. There is another location in south Florida in Pinecrest but the Brickell location is by far superior. They do have a full bar which is amazing to have with Korean bbq. The service here is also typically good they usually bring you the food pretty fast and you're free to grill. I would say skip the advertised combo deals for 2 or 3 and just order individually the meats that you want, you end up saving money that way. Definitely try this spot out if you've been meaning to. It's the perfect date night spot or even to catch up with friends.

Yelp
Had a great time to with friends at this place. It was fun watching the meats get cooked in the fire while you chatted. The food got brought to us pretty fast. Great if you're a meat eater but not so great if you have certain food restrictions.

Yelp
Really enjoy this place. Make sure you make reservations as sometimes they get full. Staff has been friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the spring rolls, garlic noodles and Kimchi for appetizers. I like the approach of ordering different meats to cook so you can taste it. Personally, the Kalbi is my favorite. Thin sliced and very flavorful. The waiter will tell you how long to cook each meat. The skirt steak isn't bad either. Tasted others and nothing bad so far. If you have room for dessert you can get smores. Brings 2 for each order.

Yelp
This was my second time going to Gyu-kaku for a dinner party. The food is always up to par and the ambiance is amazing! Who wouldn't want to enjoy Brickel's views? My friends and I always enjoy ourselves going there, because we enjoy the food so much...especially the Beef Sukiyaki fried rice bowl (absolutely delicious)!!!
