Gordon Ramsay Looked the Most Like Gordon Ramsay at a Gordon Ramsay Look-Alike Contest | Eater Vegas

"A Japanese sando restaurant that graduated from being tucked inside Molly’s Tavern at 9821 S. Eastern Avenue to a standalone Chinatown location at 3516 Wynn Road, it loads thick, fluffy shokupan slices with beef filet and onion jam or with Jidori egg salad. Since opening the standalone shop in September it expanded its hours to include Sunday and has opened a new late-night bar called the Social Lounge — a tucked-away room inside the restaurant that serves small plates of udon carbonara, oysters, and sandos with wagyu, plus Japanese beer." - Janna Karel

Six new restaurants in Las Vegas offer takeout and delivery only in the Gateway District | Eater Vegas

"I found Gyu+ to be a Japanese-inspired takeout spot serving sandwiches and rice boxes; the menu includes togarashi chips and sandwiches topped with mushrooms, wagyu beef and truffles, eggs, steak, or chicken, as well as rice boxes filled with veggies and rice, Iberico chorizo and rice, or pork belly and rice. It’s open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and available for online ordering via DoorDash." - Susan Stapleton

Great Sandos during the day. But the hidden Gem is the back speakeasy dinning room. The ceiling is covered with Cherry blossoms, and the food is amazing. Loved the Chilean Sea bass, Salmon tartar, and the grilled Wagu and meats skewers. I have been there on multiple times and always enjoy starting off with the clams. Not to mention they have a live professional vocalist (Sage Waters), who perfumes there every Saturday night! She is amazing!

This review covers the 05 December special tasting menu event held in the GYU+ Speakeasy. I tend to home in on any mention of a restaurant collaboration like a heat-seeking missile. So when I read on Food and Loathing that GYU+Social Lounge was teaming up with Marufuku Ramen on a special one-night-only menu, I quickly booked the first seating on OpenTable. All in for $180.42 (5-courses $99 + $48 optional premium sake pairing + $4.02 tax + $29.40 20% pre-tax autograt). Courses were sizable, featuring proteins like pork, beef, octopus, and shrimp. The presentations and preparations were perfect from the soft bao to crisped tempura and fatty belly to moist cake. Roe toppings were generous. The ramen bowl from Marufuku was creamy without cloying thickness, packed with complimenting ingredients, with the noodles at a toothsome doneness, while the main course of the wagyu from GYU+ was so juicy and came with a cute pipette filled with rich yolk. The final course from Pastry Chef Yuka of Moignet Café featured an adorable and tasty Christmas tree with contrasting crumble, cream, and berry. Everyone received an overflowing glass jigger of Marufuku's "best with ramen" sake. The course pairing selections by GYU+'s Master Sommelier Luis de Santos were the food friendly and accessible Joto Junmai Nigori, Joto Junmai Ginjo, Fuku Chitose Yamahai Junmai Ginjo Happy Owl, Maboroshi Mystery Junmai Daiginjo, and Joto Yuzu. The pourers explained each sake's creation style, flavor profile, and pairing logic. Service: Superlative in warmth and attentiveness. Managers from both venues circulated the floor and engaged with diners throughout the event over food, drink, upcoming concepts, and local topics. Main server Chai was delightful. Atmosphere: Very pretty space, with pink "blossoms" covering the ceiling and traditional murals on the walls, with more modern touches like neon LED lighting. Great sound system. Music moved between covers of holiday classics to phenomenal live singer Brianne(sp?). To be thorough, timing was a small issue. The start was delayed, which forced a somewhat abupt end to the dinner soon after the dessert course so the room could be set for the second seating. But it was handled in a very friendly manner. Value: Wonderful for a special full-package evening.

Google
The sandwiches are good. The bread is thick and soft with a little toasting on one side. The only change I'd make is adding some salt to the egg sando. This is not a must visit for every Vegas trip but if you're craving this style of sandwich, they do a good job 👍

Came here at about 1230 afternoon on a Saturday and I ordered the chicken cutlet sandwich that was spicy and absolutely & ridiculously delicious and side of potato chips & a bottle of sparkling water and boy Oh boy this place is absolutely delicious and the counter lady was very nice. She was genuinely sincere when she asked how my food was. I sat outside by myself and I’m sure this place gets busy becausethey the partners is the mochi beignet shop two doors away so definitely give this place to try because I’m gonna go in there and try some other stuff so support small business with some extra love and thank you. Keep up the good work.

I had an excellent experience at Gyu Sando Restaurant! From the moment I walked in, the warm and intimate atmosphere set the tone for a wonderful meal. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, which made ordering a breeze. The star of the show was, of course, the wagyu beef sando and the Seabass. Perfectly cooked with a tender, melt-in-your-mouth texture, it was balanced beautifully by the crisp top yet moist in the inside. Every bite was rich, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. The presentation was just as impressive—simple, elegant, and clearly prepared with care. Another highlight was how well-maintained the restaurant is. The restroom was spotless, modern, and equipped with a heated bidet—something you don’t often see, but it really shows their attention to detail and commitment to guest comfort. Beyond the food, I appreciated the traditional Japanese yet modern decor, the thoughtful plating, and the genuine hospitality. It’s clear the team takes pride in delivering not just great dishes, but a memorable dining experience. I would highly recommend Gyu Sando to anyone looking for top-quality Japanese dining experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted so warmly by multiple people. When we were walked to the back, the dining room was so beautiful and it was a full house. We ordered the Yakitori Trio, Nigerian Prawn, Donburi Bowl, and Vegas Wagyu Sando. My boyfriend also got the Green Dragon drink. Everything was amazing! I just wish I could've ordered everything on the menu but this just means I will have to come back 😊

Google
I wanted to take away one star because their cocktail was not good whatsoever. The food though was creative and delicious. The service you can tell that they take pride in their food and love their restaurant and have passion for the food they serve. The presentation is gorgeous and creativity is a 10/10. We ordered the carbonara with a side of their delicious bread, we had the corn appetizer (I forgot the name) and the Donburi bowl. Everything was so good! Again, I don’t recommend their drinks. It tasted like they used juice from concentrate in the cocktail. They also served it in a wine glass with an old fashioned, large ice cube with a tall black straw. I’d still come back though!

Google
I got the lulu’s sando box and chose the steak sando, egg salad, and spicy chicken karsu. They were all delicious, I would suggest starting with the egg sando first since the flavors are the most delicate of the three.

Yelp
We had a group of 12 that went for dinner at Gyu Social and our experience was out of this world. The ambiance was perfect, the live music was awesome and the food was spectacular. We will definitely go back again. Oh and the staff there were so attentive to all of our needs. What a great evening!

Yelp
Food/Drinks: 5/5 It was delicious and super great. Reminded us of Japan. Service/Ambiance/Value: 4/5 It was great and incredible. Seating area was lacking but aside from that it was great. Overall Comments: 5/5 Exceeded expectations and will definitely return in the future.

Yelp
I came here for a late breakfast around 11 a.m. during the summer in Vegas, so it was hot both inside and outside. We ended up sitting outside. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated, and the staff was kind and welcoming throughout. We ordered the togarashi potato chips as an appetizer, along with the steak sando, spicy chicken katsu sando, and egg sando. The chips were pretty yummy but not very filling. I fully expected the spicy chicken katsu sando to be my favorite, but surprisingly, the steak sando was the star! It was incredibly flavorful. Everyone in my group of five agreed. We left feeling lightly satiated but not overly full. The plating was pretty, and everything felt thoughtfully presented. That said, I'm not sure I'd come back on a future Vegas trip. The menu is fairly small, and while the steak sando was great, it's probably not enough on its own to bring me back again. The service was kind and the experience was definitely fun overall. Thank you Gyu Plus !

Yelp
This place is off one of the smaller streets off spring mountain in Chinatown. Don't often stumble into this part of town but glad I finally checked this place out. We were greeted by their friendly staff as soon as we walked in. Their menu is pretty simple with a few sando items and rice items. We ordered the steak sando and the potato chips. To be honest, I had high expectations for the sando but the meat had a very strong gamy taste. I really tried to enjoy it since it was paired with lightly crusted chewy bread. But the gamy taste lingered in my mouth unfortunately. The potato chips were thin and crispy, very enjoyable to my liking. The place has a small front but they have a full dining room in the back that was lightly dimmed with a modern ambiance.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! I think my favorite was the chips, especially since we asked for an extra side of togarashi and she gladly accommodated. I got to sprinkle more on my chips as well as my sandwiches. We opted for outdoor seating bc it was a nice day out. And they gladly brought out our order. The staff was friendly and made sure to answer any questions we had. Out of the 3 sandwiches my pick would be the shrimp. But the wagyu and katsu sando were a close 2nd. I can't wait to try the egg sando next time.

Yelp
You want authentic japanese sando in Vegas. This is the place you have to go. Your typical egg salad that you get at 7-11 and Lawson convenient store in Japan- is elevated at GYU. Their other sandwiches are amazing. If having a hard time on choosing- get the sampler so you can experience three different sandwiches. Love the steak and chicken sandos. Must get the home made chips. The friend rice is amazing as well. In the evening time GYU plus transform to a speakeasy dining experience. Lucky enough to be able to try it on multiple occasions.

Yelp
After seeing Gyu's sandwiches all over social media, and with having a craving for a good Japanese sando - I knew I had to visit during my trip to Vegas. While this wasn't the best Japanese sando that I've had, it was amazing. The slices of bread were thick and you could definitely tell they are freshly baked. One sandwich is cut into 3, making it super easy to share. Since the sandwich was cut into 3 though, that means the slices of meat inside were also now smaller and we struggled to keep them inside the sandwich. The steak was perfectly cooked and tender, and the squeezable vials of sauce were such a cute touch. They actually allowed us to squeeze the sauce into the meat rather than lathered on the bread, which often makes bread soggy - so it was really innovative! The flavors were goo, but I do wish there was an additional layer of depth to the meal. For the price, I'm not too inclined to eat this again, but it was tasty!

Yelp
Social is an amazing hidden spot open after hours at Gyu Plus! I've been several times and each with different folks who have all raved about the food and friendly service. Chef Izzy is amazing and the food quality is so consistent. A must visit spot when in Vegas.

Yelp
This place was expensive and the wait time was really long! BUT it was definitely worth it! I ordered Lulu's Sando Box which was a perfect amount of food for 3 people. It came in 3 containers with 1/3 of each sandwich in each box. I substituted the egg sando for a shrimp sando. It costed extra but i'm glad I got to try it. The steak was lean tender and juicy. The onions could have used some salt but I suppose that is what the sauce pipette was for The chicken katsu was my favorite! The flavors of the pickled slaw and the orange seasoning on the katsu was a perfect combination, good with or without the sauce. The shrimp sando was really good but ultimately my least favorite of the 3 sandwiches. The shishito pepper was over cooked and had a strange skin texture. But that was literally my only complaint it was very very tasty.

Yelp
View plus is a spot that opens up after the Sando shop closes at four. It's a good hangout spot with small bites and curated drinks. Ambience is amazing, great for date nights and small groups. Please don't come if you are going to be noisy as a group. It's a good spot for pregaming, and just chilling out. They close at around 10 and so no one is there to be rowdy. I love the decor and the vibes. I will definitely be back for when the Sando Shop is open. Nick is amazing and the rest of the staff as well, the young lady that served us as phenomenal.

Yelp
It's pretttty good! Social media has been hyping this place up ever since they moved to Chinatown and I'm happy to say it is worth the hype! It looks like we got 2 boxes but this is one order just cut in half and I love it! The star of the show for me was the steak. Cooked to perfection, sauce was good, and the shokupan bread brings it all together 2nd was the Egg Sando, (if you like eggs, get this) While it's easy for me to say this is the best egg Sando in Vegas, it unfortunately does not compare to Japan. It just not the same, so if you're trying this in the hopes reliving those glorious convenience store trips... just temper your expectations. Nonetheless this is a well executed Egg Sando. Chicken Katsu. The flavor is good, just was the 3rd best out of three. Guy Plus is a must try. I mean I think it's going to be hard to have restraint and not ordering everything. I heard the shrimp is a fan favorite so I gotta come back and give that a try plus the non Sando things the have on the menu Inside they have a couple tables and outside seating. Parking lot is ALWAYS busy in this plaza so you can always park across the street. If you don't plan on dining it, I'd recommend ordering ahead of time. Bonus points for giving us a free Moignet, which is a store down from them. Thats also a different review but the Mochi Beignet was amazing and much appreciated

Yelp
Great place for an afternoon snack. I got the Wagyu Steak Sando a Japanese beef fillet with the secret sauce and shokupan bread. The steak was definitely tender and cooked perfectly. Great service as well.

Yelp
I've never had a Japanese sando before and Gyu Sando completely blew me away. This spot just opened in Vegas and I had to try it out. I ordered the steak sando, the spicy chicken sando and the shrimp sando. All of them came on the fluffiest shokupan bread that was so soft and light. They also give you a little test tube of secret sauce that you squeeze on yourself which makes it even more fun. My absolute favorite was the shrimp sando. The crispy panko-crusted shrimp patty with the charred shishito pepper mayo on that pillowy bread was just perfect. Definitely something I'll come back for again. If you're looking for a new spot in Vegas, this one is worth checking out.

Yelp
Tried out Gyu Plus for the first time !! It's super close to Moignet--perfect spot if you want mochi beignets for dessert after! I got the pork belly rice box and it came with a generous portion of pork belly, rice, and pickled veggies. The pork belly was well-cooked with a good fatty bite--just make sure to eat it with the rice since it can get a little oily. super flavorful and have you craving for more after each bite! i wasn't the biggest fan of the spicy flakes on the rice, but the furikake was nice and kept it balanced. We also tried the steak and chicken katsu sandos. My sister and fiancé preferred the chicken katsu since it had more flavor overall. they do take online orders via doordash and other services which i would recommend doing as parking is often hard to find.

Yelp
The lady at the front counter was super sweet at explaining what was on their menu as it was our first time here. You order your food at the front counter and they deliver it to you. There's plenty of seats outdoor, a long family style table next to the register and the beautiful hidden speakeasy. The speakeasy in the back tied the ambiance & mood so well while enjoying our meal & drink. The lulu box was plenty for 3 people. The spicy chicken was our favorite because it was full of flavor and the added sauce was amazing (10/10). The steak was cooked perfectly and w a drizzle of the sauce it was delicious (8/10). The egg was also good but could've used some salt so we used whatever was left from the sauces (7/10). Chips were perfectly seasoned & crunchy (10/10). This spot is a must and if you take your receipt next door to Moignet, you get a free sample!
google avatar

Yelp
If you like sandwiches and you like chicken katsu, I guarantee you'll love this spot. Loved the little shooters for the spicy sauce as well. The fried rice was phenomenal. All the flavors and all the seasonings. The inside is a bit small but they have a nice outdoor patio. Decided to try the famous ramu drinks which was definitely fun to try. Tasted like bubblegum.

Yelp
I bookmarked this place on a whim, because my friend sent me an influencer video on instagram. LOL We actually ubered it to our hotel since we had a reallyyy late night. We ordered the sampler set and it was perfect for 2 people. I love how they place the sauce in the cute little droppers. It is perfect so that the sandwiches don't get soggy. Egg sando was solid but nothing fancy, the katsu one I think is my favorite. juicy and moist. The wagyu one was good but a tad chewy. The sauce helps cut the fattiness. I do agree that the way they toast the bread is so smart! Toasted on the inside an the outside remains soft and fluffy. Overall it was a satisfying meal! Well priced for the combo, and would get again if in the area!

Yelp
Omg GYU!!! Happy 1 anniversary. This place holds a special place in my heart. Every time I come here it's a different menu and now I have a chance to celebrate your 1st year of success. I love the food every time I come here. The staff are amazing, friendly, and attentive. This place is like a pop-up place for me. I live the vibes of cherry blossom and the setup of the tables. Highly recommended to celebrate any special occasion.

Yelp
Delicious and more to come! Finally found myself some time in Vegas to try these sandos that have invaded my IG feed. They did not disappoint! I went with the Lulu Sando Box so I could try 3 different ones- Steak Spicy chicken katsu Egg Omg, The softest bread. My fav was the steak which was cooked perfectly and paired well with the caramelized onions but a close second is the spicy chicken katsu. It was very flavorful. They both came with these little droppers to add sauce. So good! The chefs rice box was also delicious. The rice with with the most tender Wagyu and filet was just a delicious bite after bite. Especially with that miso sauce. Great rice bowl. The kettle chips were also a great accompaniment to add a crunchy texture to the meal. Do not skip out on their desserts! The pandan creme brûlée is a must. Pandan anything is hard to find on a menu so if you find it, TRY IT! The lounge menu has more options so if you're around during their opening hours check them out! That udon carbonara calling my name.

Yelp
Thanks to Ania K's great review I had this place bookmarked. It just so happened that my Yelp friend Jolene L. was going to be in town for a couple days. I was racking my brain on where to take her as I wanted to have a good experience with her. We made plans to meet up here and I was hopeful that our lunch would be filled with scrumptious Sando's. A small and intimate eating space up front and in back there is a larger dining space where they serve Japanese whiskies. The staff were super friendly, helpful and kind. We both wanted to try the katsu sando but we were swayed to try the Shrimp Sando so we did. We were not disappointed. The shrimp patty was filled with flavor and the Japanese bread used is so light and fluffy making the sandwich taste that much better. They use little soy sauce pipettes so you can add just the right amount of soy to your sando. We also saved room to try their pandan creme brûlée which is a specialty. It was so creamy, delicious and heavenly. Because the business is located in China Town, parking is a real challenge. If you can find a space in the lot, great but it's almost always packed. Limited street parking. I can't wait to return and try more of their sandos. Yummy in the tummy!

Yelp
This place provides one of the tastiest Japanese sandwich options in Las Vegas. Tucked away in the plaza, you will find Gyu Plus delivering flavors that will make you think you are in Japan. When you step into this restaurant, it has an open kitchen format with Anime figurines as decorations. There is limited seating, however, there are outdoor seats. There is truly nothing like this place nearby. The workers were nice and friendly, and offered great recommendations. The sandwiches are the highlight of this restaurant. The white bread provides a warm delicate taste to the savory bites of eggs and meats. The egg sando was delicious. Packed full of flavor, the only thing I wish was different was that it could be creamier. My favorite was the steak sando. On the pricier end, it was in my opinion, worth every penny. The meat was super tender, accompanied by the savoriest sauce to enhance the flavors. Overall, the sandwiches are on the heavier end, but extremely delicious. Tried to eat 2 full sandwiches, but was too stuffed afterwards. And they are also kinda pricey. However, I will definitely be back for more whenever I am in Vegas.

Yelp
This was a super fun experience and am interested to see what the speak easy kind of club is they are developing for launch int he back room. I came in for lunch. While the prices are a big Heafy so is the food. I would suggest coming with someone or a few other people so you can sample. One Sando is in three slices. There is one community table in the restaurant so you will be getting cozy and don't plan on coming with backpacks or shopping. This is a in and out, quick style Japanese sando place. Food was great, I will be back to try more Sandos!

Yelp
Food Quality: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Value: 5/5 Don't skip on: The Steak Sando Oh my goodness, the reviews don't lie. This place is one of my favorites! Japanese sandos don't get any more perfect than this. We ordered the Lulu sando box that came with the Steak, Katsu, and Egg sandos - total of 9 pieces and it was the best choice (and deal) they have! The bread is all perfect soft, the meats and eggs were seasoned well, and every bite was perfect. I was most impressed that the steak wasn't over cooked - something that happens more often than not. They also had a wonderful hidden room in the back for larger parties and we were able to sit and enjoy the ambiance of the cherry blossom room. We also had a chance to talk with Arthur who was one of the owners and it was great to hear the insight on the restaurant as well and inspirations for the concepts. The staff here are top notch and took care of everything we needed. Highly recommended for your sando fix- you will not be disappointed!

Yelp
My yearly Vegas trip and this was on my must try list. Did not disappoint. We had the Wagyu, truffle chips and brûlée combo and the Egg Sando. The tasty egg sando was an elevated egg sandwich. But hold on the Wagyu sando was amazing, the onion jam and secret sauce complimented each tasty bite. Who can't resist fresh truffle chips on the side. Brûlée was a nice sweet ending for a rich meaty meal. We also took a peak at the after hours social club/ speakeasy in the back where they offer a bar and Japanese yummy dishes. On my list for return visit.

Yelp
Stellar sandos. Overall, this spot has delicious and flavorful comfort food. Wagyu is tender, tastes like it's aged, super tasty onions and sauce that brings it all together. The chicken Katsu had a compliment of crispy chicken, cabbage, sauce and great bread. Egg salad had that half egg in the middle that gave it the authentic style. Everything was delicious, fresh, and hits the spot.

Yelp
Yelper Elite Renee N. recommended this restaurant so we could try their sandwiches for lunch. Our order was incredibly delicious and filling I might add. We initially wanted to try the katsu sando and the egg sando but somehow we were tempted away by the shrimp sando! So yummy! The shrimp patty had excellent texture, wonderful flavor, and the bread....oh so soft and fresh! I appreciated that the sauce was carefully tubed and put on the side so you can use or not use according to your preference. And save space for dessert too! They had pandan creme brulee in just the right size. Perfect brulee crisp top and silky smooth creme with a delicate taste of pandan, YUM! Bummed that we weren't traveling on a Thursday thru Saturday, as Yelp Elite Rod U. recommended the Social part of this establishment for an exquisite menu in the evening. Nevertheless, Renee and I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Tables were clean and service was incredible. Will totally return (Thursday thru Saturday) on our next visit!

Yelp
I've tried the egg sandwich and the steak sandwich at Guy Plus. Both of these are high quality sandwiches and I'd recommend dropping by if you like this type of food. Egg Sando - I like what they do with the bread here. They toast one side and use that as the inside of the sandwich. This gives the sandwich a nice crunch at the end of your bite while keeping the outside soft. The egg filling is cleanly filled, allowing you to eat with minimal mess. Steak sando - although the bread is also toasted here, there wasn't the same crunch as with the egg sando. I don't think there's any way to fix this unless the sandwich is served deconstructed. The steak quality was certainly good and this was one of the better steak sandos that I've tried. SERVICE They are nice here. Good service. RESTAURANT The restaurant is modestly sized. It's clean and the Japanese design fits perfectly. There is one long community style table. There are tables outside as well. They have two restrooms available and they are nice and clean. PARKING Really limited street parking. The center across the street has lots of other shops and even a Ranch market. I like to park over there, stock up on snacks and then pop over to Gyu for a sandwich.

Yelp
I don't live in town, but this is one of the few shops in Las Vegas that I've visited multiple times. It's such a simple concept and perfectly executed. A sandwich shop that leans into making simple food with great flavors. I know the price tag seems high for a sandwich, but once you take the first bite, it's easy to see the difference in quality. The staff and owners all take great pride in making great food. You can tell that by watching them make it from the window. The space itself was designed to be immersive, with art and flowers. Even the bathrooms have the Japanese toilets, which just show how dedicated they are to keeping the experience. I would definitely recommend coming hungry, and it will be super easy to leave happy.

Yelp
WOWOWOW this place really blew my mind !!!!! Who knew something this small can be soooo good ! Well it's not really small because one sandwich can technically feed two people ! Haha service was AMAZING !!! Super cozy inside ! Would definitely come back!!!

Yelp
Gyu Plus is a must try spot for Japanese sando lovers! This spot is serving up some delicious Japanese-inspired sandwiches and more. They are located in Chinatown in a plaza with a good amount of parking spots. Inside, they have a long table for seating and then more additional tables outside on their patio. For their menu, they have a unique selection of different sandos along with some bento box options. Wifey and I pulled up to grab a quick lunch and opted for the Steak Sando. Each sando comes with pieces. Overall, we enjoyed every bite of the sando! I really liked how the milky and soft Japanese bread paired with the perfectly cooked meat. All of the staff here are friendly and welcoming. Definitely stop by to try one of their sandos and you will not be disappointed!

Shrimp sando - light, crispy, and surprisingly bouncy patty, my favorite of the three! bread felt a bit too dense and thick for the filling, definitely preferred a lighter bread ratio. Spicy chicken katsu sando - juicy and flavorful, the spicy mayo cabbage slaw and pickled daikons added a nice tangy kick and balance. bread again a bit too dense. Steak sando - the onion jam was rich, sweet, and deeply savory, added so much flavor to the juicy steak. definitely recommend eating this right away bc the steak juice does make the bread soggier quick! Staff friendly and wait for the sandwiches (Togo) was about 15min. Free parking available, does fill up pretty quickly though. Definitely worth checking out!

Yelp
Great sandwiches and rice bowls. I highly recommend the steak sando. Expect to pay around 22$ for it. The price is a bit on the steep side but it is worth it for the quality and taste. They also have a Japanese Wagyu sando that people have recommended but it was 99$ so maybe next time. They do counter service. Friendly staff and owner is usually there too for a good gab. Ambiance is chill with awesome decor. I love the fun decoration and the bidet in the bathroom!

Yelp
I loveeee Japanese sandwiches so was really excited to try this place! I got the shrimp sando and shared the sampler with my friend. I loved the shrimp sando, it's perfectly cooked and the bread is so soft. The egg sando was also super yummy. It's a small place, with limited seating inside but more seating outside. My only complaint is that it's pretty pricey for the amount you get. The shrimp sando was $22, but they do have tasty sandwiches!

Yelp
Quick delicious bite! We walked in and were greeted right away and the menu was explained to us. It is a small area without about 12-16 seats inside with plenty of seats under some shade outside. We ordered the steak sando and some sake, you can only drink the sake inside. The sando was tender and flavorful.

Yelp
Delicious Japanese Sando! Finally able to stop by and try out this place. We ordered the Lulu Sando Box and Pork Belly Rice Box. It's a small cozy modern establishment. We ordered to go and the wait was about 20 minutes. The lady helping us was friendly and welcoming. Husband and I shared the Pork Belly and it was delicious. Pork was tender and whole dish was packed with flavor. While the 3 sandos were delish, husband and I enjoyed the Spicy Chicken Katsu out of the 3. Our oldest devoured the Steak Sando and our youngest enjoyed the egg sando. Glad we were able to try this place and definitely recommend if you're in the area.

Yelp
Randomly found this sando shop during our week trip to Vegas, and I was pleasantly surprised! We enjoyed 4 types of sandos with a variety of flavor. My favorite was the spicy chicken sando which was packed with flavor and texture from the fried chicken. I was surprised to taste the subtle spice and cabbage that was also in the sando. Very tasty! Overall, I think we left the restaurant feeling full and satisfied. Looking forward to returning to this joint.

Yelp

Yelp
Great place. Thanks to my lady for pushing new places on me because I'm always eating great. Everything we tried here was very good. Egg sando was very creamy, chips were fresh and tossed in a lot of seasoning, and the steak sando was very tender. Easily one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Seating wasn't my favorite because you're sitting with strangers indoors but the food is exceptional.

Yelp
Best Sandos in town!!! You will not find these sandos anywhere like this except at GYU PLUS. They all hit the spot and it's really coming from that bread!!! They have one of the best shokupan bread in town. The steak Sando was the closest to the Wagyu sando probably! It was still worth it even if you are not paying $$$$premium on it. The filet was perfectly cooked! Honestly you didn't need the extra secret sauce. It went well with the onion jam and bread. The spicy chicken katsu sando was my fav! Bombbbbbb! Crunchy and delicious with that spicy mayo! Again didn't need the sauce. Egg sando was protein packed and okay..needed some kicked to it though! Overall, I can't wait to come back here again!! Service is amazing! People here treat you like family including management! Chill ambiance.

Yelp
Steak sandwich hands down! Super tender meat, flavorful and well seasoned. Would come back here again just for that. The egg sandwich is ok. Pork sandwich is a little disappointing. Wasn't crispy enough and lacked flavor. Portion is pretty huge. I struggled to finish my entire sandwich.

Yelp
Wow ! Amazing place, amazing Staff, Amazing food! Showed up and weren't really sure what to order so we were recommended the Sando box so we can try a few different Sandos . They do take their time making the food so don't try to be in a hurry if you can help it. The staff were so friendly and interactive , they showed us the back room and invited us to come next time where they do high end dining on the weekend. Finally got our food and oh man... 10/10 all around . IF I had to pick a favorite.. it would be the Steak Sando. The meat was cooked a little tiny bit under medium rare but melted in my mouth. The shrimp Sando was so good! By the time I got to the chicken Katsu Sando I was full (crying face) my boyfriend had to help me finish which he had no objection too. The staff constantly checked in on us to make sure we were good. It was a welcoming environment and wished we came sooner to try their fine dining experience. Whenever you order something they refer you to Moignet's which is their sister restaurant 2 doors down. If you show them your receipt they give you a free treat ( Also delicious) Will be coming back next time we are in town ! Hopefully for the fine dining experience !

Yelp
We went for lunch after the airport and this lace didn't disappoint. We ordered the box of 3, beef , chicken katsu, and shrimp. The beef was super tasty and tender, the sauce enhanced the flavor. The shrimp, was a taste of shrimp tempura combined with a crab cake. I don't like Mayo would order it without next time the shrimp had enough flavor. The chicken katsu was my favorite. It was flavorful, can't go wrong with either they were all delicious. We also ordered the melon cream soda and fresh passion fruit drink. The rosemary potato chips were good too! Service was good, the owner came by to check on us. The ambience is casual with some Japanese anime around and a beautiful large bonsai tree. As you walk in there's a community table.

Yelp
So beautiful inside. Very intimate and small area in the back. Food was delicious! My husband and I went for a date night in the Gyu Social lounge and he was excited to try the wagyu sandwich- it is the most expensive sandwich we have ever eaten ($69). It melted in our mouth. Soooo good. The server was so nice and shared her recommendations which were great! We want to come back for lunch and dessert to try the different menu.

Yelp
The sample box is large enough for 3 people. Remember each sandwich is cut into 3 ! The chef rice box is good for sharing. There's a lot of food. I was hella into the egg and steak. The other sando was a miss for me. I would come back again. The owner was super nice and the ambiance was amazing. It looks tiny in the area where you order, but they have a whole nother room to seat people. Good for large parties !!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I had this place bookmarked to try out. We had just finished celebrating our friend's bachelorette weekend and was looking forward to coming by. We arrived at 11:30am right before lunch rush and were welcomed in by Nick and Louisa. Everything looked good but we were most excited to try the sandwiches. We went with the Lulu Box Sando which came with Steak, Egg & Chicken. We also ordered chips and each ordered cream sodas (Melon & Mango). We took a seat inside their long high top table. They also have additional outdoor seating as well. While waiting for our food we looked around at the decor and noticed it was Japanese themed which obviously ties into the food while munching on our bowl of chips. Our sando sampler came out quick and was on 3 plates. Each sando was cut into 3 portions which gave us 9 pieces for my boyfriend and I to share. We started off with the spicy chicken, followed by the egg and ended with the steak: 1. Spicy Chicken: 9/10. I'm not a spice girl so it was spicy for me, but it was still quite flavorful (my boyfriend loved it) 2. Egg: 10/10 my favorite sandwich! Egg was super creamy and delicious! Also a great pallet cleanser between the chicken and steak sandos. 3. Steak: 10/10 my second favorite sandwich! The steak was cooked perfectly and the sauce you can drizzle on... chefs kiss! We noticed are creamy sodas were imported from Japan as well. They were really good and went well with our sandos. While enjoying our lunch, Nick the owner came by to introduce himself and asked us how we were enjoying the food as well as where we were from (we were wearing Disneyland sweaters and we told him we were from LA/OC area). He talked to us about the shop and how on the weekends Thursday-Sunday from 6p-10p they have a special social dinner in their back room. He gave us a tour of the back room which transports you to Japan. They also have live entertainment during the social club. The social club also has a separate menu from their typical sandos and bowls they serve during the day. The restroom is also well decorated! It even has those toilets you normally see used in Japan! Overall this place is awesome! It's located in Chinatown and parking is in the back. The food is so good, the vibes are great and my boyfriend and I can't wait to come back to try more (and also check out the Social Club!) Come try them out, they've been open for only a few months but you can tell they are up and coming!

Yelp
Yes, this place is hidden, but the quality of the sandwiches is great quality! Strongly recommend but only one complaint is they close too early. Other than that everything is great!

Yelp
Who would have known came here for sandos had turned into this amazing experience at the social lounge. We got a tour from Nick and decided to come here for my birthday. Thank you for all the staff who made this experience truly amazing and will definitely wont be our last. We have already talked about coming back for next birthdays. Our server was amazing and knowledgeable with the dishes and recommendations too. We chose 2 of the dishes from the specials and some from the menu. Dinner: Tartare with salmon, 32oz Tomhawk with black truffle sauce, Nigerian prawn, seabass, surf & turf rice (special), and some cocktail drink I forgot the name I just know it has mango & passion fruit (special), and pandan cream brulee (not picture). Everything was amazing but the most stand out for us would be seabass, surf & turf rice that we already know we will get them again. Tomahawk was amazing and cooked in perfection and the black truffle sauce was chef kiss but that would be a very special occasion dish. The seabass has this amazing sauce that our server recommended to get some toasts on the side because a lot of people like to dip with it. it sure was and I can still taste it as I am typing this review out. The tartare salmon was great but the chip it came with was a bit on the harder side. I actually think maybe wonton chips might be able to pair well this dish. Pandan cream brulee was so good. we got that when we picked up their sando last time so we already know we have to get it again. Service was great and attentive. We felt special for the attention and changed in plates/ utensils too. They even had live music too. I didn't know they do birthday shout out so I was little bit in shock but felt the love from all the staff and even when we were leaving they would greet me too. just a wonderful experience. High recommend this place if you want to have a special date or birthday. Can't wait to come back and try on their other items.

Yelp

Yelp
I didn't go for the 100 dollar sandwich and went during lunch. The shrimp and egg filling were my personal favorites. The regular steak and katsu were OK (dry chicken). The bread is bit thick overall but the egg and shrimp are worth coming back for. I think my steak was a bit under and I love medium rare. Still a great place, will be back to try dinner!
