This is upsetting that I had hair fried in my chicken I was coming here when the owner and his son was there taking orders they was nice respectful my food was always fresh. Now they throw lots of chicken up and it sits and people complain bout it’s cold and old never had this problem with the owner now they don’t care the macaroni and cheese was old no time on it I’m a Popeyes manager and the same rules apply no time a was on my sides at all I won’t return til I talk with the owner

It wasn't bad, the mac & cheese was bland but combined it with the chicken & you don't have a bad result. The biscuit was pretty good though, buttery with a hint of sweetness. Being from NY I've all had all kinds of flavors, but people recommended it, happy to say I tried it.

Had the choice of getting food delivered at a temporary place of residence. Food is okay. I love how they didn't forget anything I ordered and it came nice and hot. The chicken is okay. I wish it was more fried. That's the only downside. I love the portion. Mac and cheese was AMAZING! Banana pudding was delicious! And the waffles were simply good. I highly recommend this business just be considerate on when you go as it appears it gets busy during a certain time of day. Love the mac and cheese. I would definitely go back for that! ❤️❤️

Hole in the wall Chicken place that is exactly what it’s suppose to be. Nothing spectacular or earth shattering, but really friendly crew behind the counter and good food out the door. We got two mains: 1. Lamb & Chicken over Rice — I wasn’t expecting good shaved lamb in a chicken place, but there it was. The chicken was good, but a little soggy (overly sauced). The white sauce was really good. 2. Chicken sandwich — nothing spectacular, but a good, filling meal. Crisp pickles and a side of honey mustard helped add some needed flavor. I think we should have ordered the spicy. We ordered the Mac-n-cheese but got fries instead. Not a bad mix up as mistakes go, but I would have liked to try the Mac. The fries were good. I appreciated that, even though they were thick cut, they stayed crispy on the ride back home. I would recommend you give them a try if you want an economical, hearty meal mid-week.

It's just okay!!!! I missed when Crown Chicken was here!!! This is nothing like it!!!!! The chicken is just okay- Plus, their Baked Mac and cheese and greens is bland without any touch of seasoning!!!!! The only good thing is that they close real late, but this will definitely be a last resort type of spot.. Sharks is way better!!!!!! 😆

I don't like it. They mistreat people. Eating is also about the environment, and I saw how one of the employees mistreated a delivery boy. She gave him a bad rating because he asked her to confirm the pickup and it wasn't ready yet. He told her he couldn't do that, and she gave him a bad rating when she was the one who did her job poorly. Everyone deserves respect. I'm not going back.

Never had a bad experience with the food. Only the drivers lol. Waffles are good, not too sweet. The chicken is always seasoned well.

Everything is great chicken Mac & cheese . Dont ever get the greens they dont properly clean them Ever . I got sick twice . Store is always busy . Polite employees. Best to order ahead of time for pickup. After hours is chaotic.

We tried this place and had the food delivered. This is the only picture I got. The food was still hot when it was delivered. The waffle was not as fluffy due to the packaging bit was tasty. I will try again when I have more time.

Looking for a delicious late night bite after a drunk night out!!! Stop by H & Chicken !!! Now there will be a line but it moves so fast!!! Friendly people and good delicious chicken and you MUST get the biscuit !!! Lawddddddd the honey butter biscuit is soooo good!!! Small place so no inside seating but you'll be iight!!! Just get a good meal and enjoy

This spot is the perfect grab and go option. The wings and waffle combo is the perfect choice to cure any hunger pains ( definitely a 5-star meal ) Tried it for the first time and now it's definitely on my meal rotation list !!

Ok...the customer service is always good when I stop in. It's a nice late night spot after you drink, bye I ordered today and uuum the only reason I'm taking a star away is I didn't expect to have so many big pieces of chicken. lol ok no I added the star back because I love the Mac n cheese. However...there is no phone number to call. It's all good bc the food was good, customer service is good, and nothing was missing. So...h and chicken is on point. 5 stars!!! I had to change my review. They did not send banana pudding. They sent collard greens instead.

This restaurant is more of a fast casual spot that serves chicken, breakfast, & Mexican plates. I had the best meal here for just arriving to the area. It was exactly what i needed and i went home so happy after eating here. My chicken fajita came out steaming and had all the toppings and sides. It lowkey felt like a plate my mom would make me which was super nostalgic. The service was friendly & the food didn't take too long. I would def check out this spot. From the outside view, it doesn't look too promising but i promise it's worth it !

Chicken well seasoned but the star was the MUMBO SAUCE! The biscuits were good...fries ok. The sweet tea was DIVINE and I love the bottle it comes in! Thought: put the MUMBO sauce in the tea bottles and sale them (sitting on a gold mine)!!

I ordered through DoorDash with a special on the advice of a student. The chicken was well cooked and the variety of sauces available is sure to be helpful. I tried out the H sauce and it tasted very familiar. I couldn't place my finger on it but it was great! The fries were good as well. I received my order on time and SEALED. The best part to me was the fact that there was no blood on the bones of the chicken. My next order I'll upload pictures, lol.

My husband Na I Never received our food and was not able to reach the store and DOORDASH will not refund our money or replace the food. How can you do business like this and to your clients and future business. Please rectify the situation it was 59+ in food. Wow

Good late night place to get fried chicken and waffle combos, gyro combo, salads, and cooked food. But don't order delivery because it's pickup during late night. We ordered on their website at 1:10am after the storm and hurricane got us into town past midnight. The website app says delivery was available until 3am. I paid for the order, including $3.99 delivery fee, then suddenly I get a text from Door Dash that the order is a pickup...I WAS SO FRUSTRATED. We had to get into another Uber/Lyft just to pick it all up. This is a small place with 10-12 person capacity bar-top eating tables, ambiance is a quick and fast dining spot. They had a whole bunch of fried chicken already fried and available on their food heater counter; looked delicious. The owner went to a heated closed case to get my order (there were 2-3 other orders in there) and he was cool. There is a homeless man out front, directly in your walking path, asking for "a little help". It's 1:30am so I don't know if he is there during the day. My order was ready and so we paid and ordered another Uber/Lyft to take us back to our place (15min away in car and 39min by foot). My daughter suggested Uber Eats next time. Waffles are delicious, chicken was good, mac & cheese tasty, and drinks were cold. Pricey adventure and we will try again during ideal dining hours.

Wanted to try this place out since I had a take out coupon. My friends tore up the chicken tenders and waffles. I deduce they were good. They raved about the generous portions. My fried chicken was good and crispy. The batter was good. The chicken wasn't dry. The collards were ok. Mac and cheese was ok. Needed some salt but otherwise one of the better Mac and cheese's I've tasted in the city. I'd order from here again.

Workers were very rude to my 10 year old son. Started making fun of him and calling him fat. Never been more upset with a institution in my life. Food was also cold and dry. Never coming back.

Chicken usually is good. I will not be ordering from ts place again. The food usually is pretty good but today early in the day the food was thrown together. I ordered chicken and rib eye cheese steak subs for my guests. Anyone can just put together steak umms. These were the worse. Even a day would growl. I would not serve anyone anything that I am not proud of eating myself. I am severely disappointed and embarassed. We had a selection of places to order but no, I am going to order from H & Chicken to my dismay. The food was not how I asked for it to be prepared. It was trash and unclean food. Food service Ambiance ! I tried the one in Hyattsville , Md first time the chicken Mac and cheese and greens are really good ! I recommend this place for sure you won't be disappointed. Food is bomb chicken melts in your mouth literally! Also the staff is so friendly and nice

While visiting DC, I was in my hotel room and got hungry. I placed an order via DoorDash at 6:37pm on a Friday night. The order had an estimated delivery time of between 7:34pm and 7:44pm. I ordered Waffle and 4 Chicken wings for $13.99. The dasher picked up the order at 6:55pm and I received my food around 7:05pm. With my order was 3 packs of hot sauce, 2 syrups, and 1 fork. There were no napkins, unfortunately. I enjoyed the food. I liked the powdered sugar on the waffle and the chicken was crispy. I was definitely glad it arrived sooner that expected.

Loved it! Why was this macaroni and cheese life changing??! It was so good, I thought I made it! The chicken was fresh and juicy! I may of may not have tried the chocolate cake. The fried chicken here is insanely delicious!! What really sold my to becoming a frequent customer is the shrimp and chicken quesadilla. Just wow! As an avid quesadilla lover, I approve. The chicken strips were very tender and juicy as well! If you haven't gone, I highly recommend going! Glad I was able to find a good fried chicken spot since moving here.

ordered food thru doordash. I ordered a simple 6 wings and waffle. I recieved 5 chicken tenders and a cold hard waffle. i decided to eat it anyway, bit changed my mind. The chicken tenders and old and greezy. The waffle is the same. then they dont have a phone number to even call. What type of business doesnt have a phone number listed.

The chicken is seasoned to PERFECTION. The Mac and cheese is pretty good also. I was visiting from FL and my friend recommended them. Before returning back home I placed another order to take back with me. I wanted wings but felt like whole pieces of chicken were priced better. I will 100% return.

Late night in DC......... Not in the mood for IHOP, or checkers, or McDonalds. A buddy ask me...... You ever been to Crown Chicken (H&Chicken) 1 Star = Its not good 2 Stars= Something's missing 3 Stars= It's ok 4 Stars= It's good 5 Stars= It's Bangin! There are many places that serve chicken and waffles. .........I take that back. There are many places who wish they could call what they serve....chicken and waffles. H&Chicken has done something special that I do not believe can be replicated. The sweet....soft.....powdery sugary waffle is second to none. The chicken, not the best chicken wings in terms of size, however they are Mighty tasty. It's like sweet and salty but not to salty....it's.....its....it's........its a party down in tummy town. It's not a meal by far, it's a satisfying snack. I've ordered there other food before like greens, baked Mac and cheese, and fried chicken. It was a solid 4, but that's not what this is about. I'm from Chicago so I'm fine with going there around 2 in the morning. Still, I suggest going there during 9-5 business hours. H&Chicken Chicken and waffles are Bangin! I am Critic.

When I tell you these are some of the BEST chicken and waffles I've had. Whew! The waffles were so soft and sweet but not overly done. The chicken was crispy and super flavorful. I couldn't have asked for a better late night meal now for the sides and dessert. The baked Mac n cheese was okay. Not bad but nothing to rave over either. I got banana pudding and the Oreo cake cause my sweet tooth was KICKING! Let me tell you my sweet tooth was so let down! The banana pudding was ...... I only took one bite and instantly regretted it. Think instant and nothing like homemade. The Oreo cake was decent just not what I expected but it was a moist piece of cake and the icing was way better than I expected it to be. I would definitely come back again for the food just not the dessert.

We enjoyed our first experience with H & Chicken. The chicken was very crispy on the outside & moist on the inside. Just the way we like it. My husband had the cole slaw & was happy with it. I had the French fries & wasn't so keen. It's tough to have hot fries when you pick them up & carry them home. The store was clean & modern. The staff was very efficient & professional.

I have ordered food from H&Chicken a few times via DD. Ordered chicken and Mac and cheese. Most recently I ordered whiting fish with fried. The whiting was really good. It is better than the chicken. The chicken, fish, fries, and Mac & cheese are all seasoned well. The food was not hot but lukewarm, probably due to the distance between the restaurant and my home. Received food in a timely manner considering distance. Will definitely order from them again.

This is my go to late night stop. I love that they are open until about 4 AM. I have some of my best conversations outside of the shop. Food is ready fairly quickly, whether you order ahead or once you walk in. I am seeing that I really need to try out these side dishes. Chicken and waffles is my go to every time I stop by. Simply the best in DC right now! I have cravings whether it's 1st thing in the morning or in the middle the night.

They do not honor true customer service I went in the store two days ago to purchase food and two days later the same meal they wanted to charge me $6 more do not go to this place until the manager learn true customer service, friendliness and to atleast discount a customer if their employe on the first order made a mistake

The wings are small as hell and they don't give you extra wings to accommodate for the tiny wings. I spent about $30 for two meals . It was so small I thought it was a kids meal. You're better off going to Popeyes down the street. The Mac and cheese is grainy and lacks flavor.

Warning No Phone Number, complaints not welcome. When they first opened I was served hot, well seasoned chicken and delicious Mac and cheese. Fast forward to the opening of a 2nd location and it's been a miss each visit. Today it was under cooked chicken that was lukewarm warm and overcooked Mac and cheese that had been sitting under a heat lamp far too long. I'm over it. Hen and Fin on Georgia Avenue went from Boomin to Boarded up, H& Chicken is next!

Chicken is just a regular deep fried chicken. Too many people hanging out side and some are asking for money even inside the store. Not safe area to stop of you are not from the area

Decent food only if you're picking it up yourself. Delivery orders are consistently delayed or missing an item, making the delivery experience doubtful/lackluster. For today, the $8+ dessert I ordered is missing from the bag that was stapled shut. Delivery service will only reimburse for dessert. Had I known I wouldn't get my dessert, I wouldn't have ordered in the first place. So I have to eat the delivery fees, tax, and tip that accounted for the dessert myself. Not only that, but the number on their website and delivery bags is out of service, so you can't even call to ensure they make anything correctly. I won't be ordering again.

They have listed a 3 wing and waffle BOGO and when it comes it's a single meal for 16.99. You can order 4 wings and a waffle for 13.99. That's a scam. They don't have a listed phone number to call to get it corrected either.

Probably the BEST fried chicken I have had in DC BY FAR! Not greasy at all and made with fresh ingredients. The mac&cheese was made individually (not made in a big pan!) with so much flavor. The staff were very friendly and we received our takeout order within 5 minutes of ordering. Highly recommend!

I feel like Crown Fried has to have some of the best fried chicken wings in the city, they're perfect and inexpensive. I've picked up from here, and have also ordered via uber eats. We always get the chicken wings and waffle. It's so good. It surprises me every time we order how consistently good it is. It's quick, and cheap, but also tastes really good! Also, we definitely order a box of chicken wings if we're ever going to a gathering, or have people over. Everyone always compliments how good the chicken is, because it's that GREAT!

It was good chicken and takeout that they ordered at work. I didn't actually go the the building. But the food was palatable. The Mac and cheese was the best part of the meal. I would order this food again if I was in the area.

I have never gone in, but I work at a hotel overnight and they're the only food place that stays open late and delivers! Not only that but every time I order whether it be for me only or me and my coworkers the food it always great. It takes about 20 minutes to get to us and the food is still hot and fresh. I always recommend them to the guests that stay at our hotel and need a late nite bite to eat.

This seems to be the same place but it has definitely made improvements. They have a new name, sign, and some new and friendlier staff. The chicken tastes similar to me and so do the waffles. We ordered in person and it didn't take very long. My waffle was great and had butter on it (not shown in the picture). It was melted! The wings were crispy and fresh. I haven't been here in months, but I will come back again soon!
