H Mart Has Opened a Large Food Court in Queens - Eater NY

"After much anticipation, H Mart has opened a food court inside its Long Island City supermarket. Currently, the location features food stalls like Oh K-Dog, which has several outposts in the city and specializes in Korean corn dogs; and Gong Cha, the bubble tea chain. But there are also lesser-known stalls, like KimGaNae, a restaurant in Flushing, which has an outpost at H Mart serving kimbap, as well as Rice Boy (which has a sibling food spot Yea’s Kitchen inside a Jericho H Mart), offering various rice bowls, among others." - Emma Orlow

Google
Highly recommend H Mart (Korean Grocery Store) Flushing Queen’s location is one of many locations throughout NY and NJ. I have been actively seeking a H Mart in NYC, the only ones I have visited are in NJ. Needed to find gobo (burdock root) fresh for my fresh juice shots. Happened to be in Queens, and was able to locate this location. H Mart Flushing is a small location, compared to the locations in NJ. Don’t be fooled by the small location. Flushing H Mart has all the main items that the bigger locations carry, and the prices are excellent. H Mart has always been the only place that I can find the produce that I use for juicing cold press juices, for an amazing price. Not to mention I love the other foods, especially frozen desserts. The service is always friendly, helpful, and a pleasant shopping experience.

The lychees I bought here were completely inedible. Although they looked fine from the outside, inside they were rotten with a strong foul smell. These should not have been put out for sale at all. I would like a refund, but going back to the store again is very inconvenient. Very disappointing experience.

There are several H marts in Flushing but I often go to the one located in Northern blvd since it’s very convenient. I go atleast once a week to purchase groceries. The selection and quality of the produce and meats are pretty good. The pricing is fair and the staffs are friendly and helpful.

A box of beef is two-thirds missing. Only the surface layer is edible.

Google
Super clean and easy to shop in. They have great sales every week, and if you spend just $30, you get free indoor parking, which is really nice on rainy days. I usually spend over $100 for my family of four, and I always find fresh and yummy food. It’s my favorite place to shop because it’s easy, fun, and saves us money!

Google
Very clean and organized. The space is not big, hence limited selections compares to other supermarkets in the area. It's convenient for Asian grocery and you can avoid downtown Flushing as it gets hectic during the weekend

The leaves were facing downwards when I bought it, so I found out later that it was spoiled and moldy.

Yelp
OMG, H Mart is taking over Flushing, Queens! This location was less than a 10 minute walk from my dentist's office. I grabbed a mini shopping cart with a basket in it. Check out their weekly promotional sale items throughout the grocery store. I bought these items below: S&B Golden Curry Sauce Mix $2.99 (Hot) Chinese Spinach $1.86 ($1.28 1 LB) Woongjin 70 Days Mango Drink $3.99 Woongjin 170 Days Apple Drink $3.99 Haio Wheat Flour $3.99 Note: Don't forget to scan your H Mart smart savings card! I love, love, love H Mart so much!

Yelp
Sometimes, I really feel like Hmart is going to take over the world someday. They are one of the largest Asian supermarket chains in America. In Flushing alone there are 5 locations, three of which are along Northern Boulevard. The newest location is called Hmart Northern 144 and it's within blocks from Hmart 141 and Hmart 156. Luckily for us, the stores are numbered to differentiate from one another! I don't quite get why they would open another Hmart so close to the others but I guess there's a demand for it. The store grand opening was last week. This location does not have its own parking lot that I could find, so it was a bit of a hassle trying to find parking along busy Northern Boulevard. As soon as you go in they take your temperature. My first impression of the store was that it was small but very smartly laid out. They position the first three or four aisle in such a way that traffic only flows in one direction. And then, after the fourth aisle, you will see the sealfood section, the frozen sections, pre made food, etc. The layout is not conducive for a quick grocery run as it makes you walk through several aisle first but very smart of the store since most people end up buying more items, in my opinion. The prices are comparable with other Hmart locations. Since it just opened up, the store is very clean and organized. If I'm in the neighborhood, and can find parking, I would definitely come back.

Yelp
H mart is very clean and has everything I need. I like how organized this supermarket is and they have a variety of all my favorite Korean snacks and this is where I get my Korean corn dogs which taste just as good as the one from the restaurants.

Yelp
This H Mart is so big!! They have such a huge selection of snacks and noodles and refrigerated goods. I'm used to the tiny store in ktown, so this was a nice change. They have a lot of good sales too and a huge selection of banchan. Definitely worth the visit if you are in the area and need some new snacks. I found some chips that I haven't seen at any other H Mart and the prices are very reasonable. This store is super clean and organized.

Yelp
This location is a bit small, but has a lot to offer! Very organized. Located right next to Burger King and 7 Eleven. The fruit and vegetable section is wide ranged which I appreciate since it's hard to find one with options like these. The employees are very friendly too. Would I recommend? Absolutely. 10 out of 10 :)

Yelp
A cashier called Park, Y scanned my goods and charged the money from another client accidentally. Then I pointed it out. She blamed me for not saying it earlier and put the isolator over there earlier. I think it's her responsibility to make sure she can take care of the customers. Meanwhile there were only two customers in the shop at that time. I don't know how H Mart trains its staff. It's so ridiculous to blame customers for such stupid mistakes made by the staff.

Yelp
Everyone please be careful when paying at this supermarket. Their cashier will double charge you! I only got 1 type of the onion, but the cashier charged me twice! It's very sad that a big chain supermarket will encourage their cashier to do that. Scam scam scam!

Yelp
They have a good selection of food in this place. I normally find the quality of the food to be good. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Yelp
If I didn't live so far I would rate this a higher however the distance only makes it partially worth it. The pictures in yelp and everywhere else can be deceiving. From the looks of it I was expecting the store to be bigger but it was fairly small size, variety and selection was also not the best. There was no spicy chili peppers, fish cakes were priced high except on one choice, boxes unmovable and stacked high everywhere in some aisles, I couldn't even search what I was looking for. Prices were outrageous compared to regular super markets, meat stores, and Chinese supermarkets. I'm just glad I got the baby radish on sale and that this one has parking since finding parking in Queens is impossible at times. I think I would only come here once every couples of months only for things I really can't find, I'd rather scavenger hunt in Brooklyn's Chinese supermarkets. I'm sorry but the hype of this chain was unnecessary. I'm sure if I were to go to New Jersey the store would be way better because the size and the closenesses to farms and product warehouses, but who wants to travel that far. Next time I'll take pictures to back up my claims.
