On Tuesday, I bought a cake. I opened the package and tried to eat it on Wednesday night but found that the cake was moldy. However, it was already late, and I couldn’t return it at that time. Since I had to work during the day, I went to the store after work in the evening. I explained the situation to the staff inside. They kept emphasizing that their policy requires fresh items to be returned within 24 hours. I feel it is ridiculous—I discovered the problem late at night, and the next day I had to work. How could I possibly return it within 24 hours? Not everyone finishes their food within 24 hours after buying it. Otherwise, why would refrigerators exist? The cake didn’t have an expiration date labeled, so I assumed it should be finished within three days. I had only bought it a day ago, but the mold made it look like it had been spoiled for a long time. The packaging claimed it was a fresh cake, but it clearly wasn’t! I go to this place every week. This is my first time having issue with them. Everything is fine in this supermarket, so I give 2 stars for it in stead of zero. The customer service is so terrible. They didn’t even wanna open the package and see how gross the cake is! Sucks! If everyone wants to buy good fresh food, just don’t come here. Because of their hilarious policy. Unless you can find bad food out and return the product within 24 hours, otherwise they will say that their policy is like this, they couldn’t do anything about it. And when you want to complain, the manager is always on their day off. Then they will tell you to come back tomorrow. This is just an excuse to send you away.
