The 9 Best Vaca Frita in Miami

"If you’re going to order vaca frita anywhere in Miami, it should be here. It’s our favorite. And most of the credit goes to the onions. They taste like they’ve been sitting in a pool of vinegar, just waiting for the moment they reach the perfect flavor to be dropped on crispy strips of beef. All those tart juices roll into every crevice of shredded meat. We dream about this vaca frita—it haunts us for days—not unlike the smell of mojo that emanates from our bodies after we consume it." - virginia otazo

The 20 Best Restaurants In Coral Gables

"This casual Cuban restaurant isn’t over-hyping its stature in Miami’s saturated Cuban food scene. They don't claim to be kings or magicians. They're not trying to be a palace or line their tables in white linen. They keep it simple, straightforward, and just make the best vaca frita in Miami (fighting words, we know). You’re going to want to come here on a weekday between 5pm and 7pm for the early dinner special: a soup of the day, large entree of your choice, two sides, dessert, and a glass of house wine filled to the brim—all for only about $12. The 19 Best Lunch Restaurants In Coral Gables

"This casual Cuban restaurant keeps it simple, straightforward, and makes the best vaca frita in Miami (fighting words, we know). You’re going to want to come here on a weekday for their “Business Lunch” menu, where everything on the twenty-item menu is under $14 from noon to 5pm, including that vaca frita. The 19 Best Cuban Restaurants In Miami

"The service isn’t perfect, but Habana Vieja nails classic Cuban dishes like few others in town, including the city’s most mouth-puckering vaca frita. If guavas are in season, order the guava shells with cream cheese for dessert. It’s an old school Cuban dessert with pieces of guava simmered in sugar next to a triangular chunk of cream cheese—the epitome of Cuban cuisine’s love of sweet and salty combinations—and the great grandfather of all those pastelitos de guayaba y queso we love. Grab a seat at the bar with the regulars and you’ll feel like you’re on the porch of a Cuban farmhouse." - virginia otazo

Habana Vieja Restaurant - Review - Coral Gables - Miami - The Infatuation

"Despite what every Spanglish-speaking Miamian will tell you, the perfect classic Cuban restaurant is a myth. Don’t misunderstand us, there are tons of great casual Cuban spots in this city, but none are perfect, nor are they meant to be. Habana Vieja understands this better than most places. Cuban food is greasy, oniony, and comforting. It dangles off heavy oval plates and makes you smell like garlic for days. And it’s best approached with humility. It’s not perfect either, but this Douglas Road spot has been quietly serving our favorite casual Cuban food in Miami for almost 40 years. Inside, it feels like an old Cuban country home divided into three sections: an outdoor area by the entrance, a simple dining room with terracotta floors and wooden support beams, and our favorite place to eat: the bar area. It’s a backroom with a dark mahogany bar, wooden shingles plastered to the ceiling, and false windows. Your brain knows you’re inside, but you’ll think you're sitting outside on a farmhouse porch with first-wave Cubans recapping which Miami politicians are now in jail. photo credit: Tasty Planet What sets this restaurant apart from the rest of Miami’s many casual Cuban options is not that the free bread is medianoche bread instead of white Cuban (it’s OK—take it easy). It’s the refreshing embrace of its own flaws. The music isn’t always on, they close inconveniently early, and just about everyone who eats there is a regular—so service can be a little curt and prioritizes them over newcomers. But that’s why we love it. It’s a neighborhood restaurant run by locals that isn’t trying to attract attention. They don't claim to be kings or magicians. They're not trying to be a palace or line their tables in white linen. They just make the best vaca frita in Miami—fighting words, we know. photo credit: Tasty Planet You’re going to want to come here on a weekday between 5pm and 7pm for the early dinner special: a soup of the day, large entree of your choice, two sides, dessert, and a glass of house wine filled to the brim—for $12.95. Go on the earlier side. Not only do they close at 8pm, but their specials usually run out by 6:30pm. If you can’t make it then, come for the outstanding caldo gallego, which is only served on weekends but tends to run out by the end of lunch. Not everything on the menu is a hit. The sangria is strong but made with what tastes like a 1950s recipe that involves canned fruit, and their sandwiches are just OK. Stick to other classics like rich ropa vieja that falls apart mid-flight between the fork and your mouth, or the sweet and plump maduros with golden crispy edges. You’ll have to go more than once to try everything and win over the regulars. But by the time you sample it all, you’ll be one of them and reach the same conclusion we did: It’s not flawless, but it’s the best in Miami. Food Rundown Caldo Gallego Beans are making a comeback. But Habana Vieja’s caldo gallego is the Converse sneakers of bean soup—it’s always been popular, and we’ll never get sick of it. This brothy, hearty soup is made with pork, white beans, onions, and coriander. Just know that it’s only available on Saturdays and Sundays, and they stop serving it when they run out. So go early. photo credit: Cleveland Jennings Mariquitas These crispy mariquitas are made in house, heaped onto a large plate, and served with a delicious garlicky mojo that we’re fairly certain was prepared by creative vampire slayers. photo credit: Cleveland Jennings Vaca Frita The one thing that really sets this vaca frita apart from the hundreds of others in Miami are the onions. The shredded beef is crispy but still soaks in all the mouth-puckering juices from the vinegary onions, so there’s no need to even add lime or mojo. It comes with your choice of sides, which should definitely include their creamy black beans. photo credit: Cleveland Jennings Guava Shells with Cream Cheese This traditional dessert doesn’t get the love it deserves in Miami. The fruits are halved and scooped to create little guava helmets, then simmered with sugar until tender and dripping in their own caramelized sauce. And it’s all served with a hunk of cream cheese. If you’ve ever had a guava and cheese pastelito, just imagine that on steroids. It’s made with fresh guava fruit, so it’s only on the menu when they’re in season (which is thankfully most of the year in Florida)." - Virginia Otazo

Google
Wonderful food wonderful people. My Spanish is little at best and their English was great. This had a very family feel. Can’t wait to come again. Beef creole is what my husband had and I had chicken cordon blue. Both fresh made and wonderful.

Google
Great authentic Cuban food, everything was 10/10! Had the steak milanesa, vaca frita, & sautéed beef strips for entrees, with black beans, mashed green plantains, fried green plantains, & sweet plantains for sides!

After a disappointing experience at another restaurant, we decided to stop by Habana Vieja, and it completely turned our day around! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a kind hostess who seated us promptly. Our waiter, Omar, provided exceptional service — he was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcome. The food was absolutely incredible — truly authentic Cuban flavors and some of the best we’ve ever had. The entire experience, from the atmosphere to the service and the quality of the food, was amazing all around. This place deserves to be #1 in Miami for authentic Cuban cuisine. Thank you, Habana Vieja, for such a wonderful dining experience — we’ll definitely be back

Google
When the waiter walks away from you while you’re in the middle of ordering, you KNOW it’s going to be excellent food. 10/10. The food was SO DELICIOUS!!! We are all still talking about it. Don’t worry about the service, that’s how you know it’s authentic Cuban food that you and your family will rave about for days to come. And the FLAN, WOW! It’s AMAZING!!! Just get it.

Google
Is must stop if you are visiting Miami, Traditional Cuban restaurant, I have been getting lunch there since 1988 and always the quality of the tradition is there . Try “ Macitas de Puerco with rice and black beans “ ( fried pork chunks with a Cuban creole dressing.. one of the best Cuban restaurants in South Florida. Besides you feel home with the staff and A1+ to “ Omar” always being there for you and serving with professional manners.

Google
Best Cuban food in Miami. All traditional Cuban dishes are available every day. Cheap lunch. Great coffee and desserts, traditional Cuban stuff only.

Google
I have come to this restaurant twice and always got the same dish because it is out of the box! The ground beef in wine sauce (picadillo al vino) is amazing! It comes with two sides and I always get an extra side to make the perfect combo of white rice, black beans and plantains. The service is also great! I highly recommend this restaurant.

Sometimes, the best culinary adventures lie just around the corner. Habana Vieja Restaurant transported me to the vibrant streets of Cuba without ever leaving my neighborhood. From the warm welcome to the last bite of flavorful food, it was an experience that had me yearning for more. The aroma of spices and garlic greeted me as I stepped into the cozy space. The décor, with its bright accents and vintage Cuban posters, immediately set the mood. I felt like I had stumbled into a bustling little eatery tucked away in the heart of Havana. The menu is a love letter to classic Cuban cuisine. I opted for the Ropa Vieja, a traditional dish of slow-cooked, and fried, shredded beef. The beef was fork-tender and bursting with savory goodness, a perfect match for the sweet fried plantains and perfectly seasoned black beans and rice. My dining companion raved about their fresh fish of the day. It was pan-seared to perfection, with a crispy skin and flaky, delicate flesh. Every bite spoke of quality ingredients and a skilled hand in the kitchen. No Cuban meal is complete without a taste of something sweet, and Habana Vieja didn't disappoint. We shared a generous slice of flan, its silky custard texture and caramelized sugar topping the perfect ending to our meal. The service throughout was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall warmth of the experience. Habana Vieja isn't just about the food – though it's certainly delicious – it's about transporting you to another place and time. If you're craving authentic Cuban flavors and a dose of vibrant island spirit, Habana Vieja is an absolute must-try.

Yelp
Nothing but love for this super authentic Cuban restaurant. It's a hangout for a bunch of old legit Cubans so you know it's the real deal. Do regular takeout -- best Pollo Empanizado in Miami. Come Saturday night and get a glimpse of sappy ballad singers and Guayabera fashionistas at their best. Awesome.

Yelp
I've been coming to Havana Vieja for 30 years, it's one of my go-to Cuban spots in Miami. I rarely eat there, I usually take advantage of the early bird menu. They have the best chicken soup anywhere, the rest of the food is delicious as well.
google avatar

Yelp
1st time at this Cuban restaurant and we were delighted, food was fabulous, service wonderful and ambience a bit loud but nice. We had chicken soup, plátano soup , ropa vieja and 1/2 roasted chicken!!! We had a great experience, we will be back!!

Yelp
The food was delicious. The waiter was attentive. We ordered the Cuban sandwich full of meats, lechón was moist, and tender. We ordered the churrasco and it was flavorful and tender. The empanadas were so good. The drinks

Yelp
Basic cuban with live music, good food, and fast service. Pre-6:30pm there a $14 menu that's very good. It's a short walk from the Loews. Parking seems plentiful

Yelp
Habana Vieja is a cute little restaurant with a vibrant Latin ambiance. You see a lot of old-school classy Cubans eating here, which is always a good sign. My go-to Cuban meal is the vaca frita, which is always enjoyable here. Pair it was an inexpensive house wine, and you have a good meal that is also affordable. The servers are usually nice and helpful. I would have given this restaurant a solid 4 except that unfortunately, the last couple of times I've gone, I've noticed overall it's not as clean as before. 1 time could be an anomaly, but 2 times is a pattern, so I won't be going back any time soon unless I hear that it's improved.

Yelp
Food is delicious and authentic. The service is outstanding. The setting is authentic and they welcome big groups. They are friendly. I always give them a 40% tip. They deserve it.

Yelp
While visiting my college roommate on a return trip to Miami he suggested a lunch at Habana Viejo and he being of Cuban Heritage I knew it would be a winner and it sure was. I ordered Vaca Fritta with plantains maduro and a second side or Moros. Boy do I miss this type of food as I now live in Southern California. Service was great and the only downside was because they are so busy and so many people meet here for lunch (with like 4 cars for a party of 4) that parking can be challenging. We finished our lunch with an excellent cuban coffee and flan. Overall a wonderful lunch experience and a return visit in store on my next visit to Miami.

Gabriel M.

Yelp
Lunch menu prices are incorrect online. They are aware of their prices are wrong online and yet they don't really care to change them
google avatar

Elena M.

Yelp
Yummy but also very affordable and authentic Cuban food in Miami, where you can also avoid the tourists. The restaurant can get a little loud, even at lunch because it echos a bit. But other than that, the mojito with refreshing and the palomilla well cooked.
google avatar

Tima C.

Yelp
This Mojitos are must try! Exceptional, real mojito, must do it! Just try and then write if I'm wrong! I tried hundreds of mojitos but this one is different, from how you see it until u You finish it!

Yelp
My grandparent lives very close to Habana Vieja and ordered takeout for them once and the food was great so this past Sunday we had lunch there. Upon our arrival we noticed that we were one of the few people that was not over the age of 60. Here you find many older Cubans dining and having drinks in their full tavern Style bar. The menu is very basic Cuban cuisine so we ordered two palomilla steaks with white rice and sweet plantains. For the kids we ordered them a fried fish filet with white rice, which was a good size and the the filet was crispy and fresh. The steaks were super juicy and tender and sides were solid. For dessert we ordered the bunuelos which are Cuban donuts. Great end it our meal and I would recommend to anyone in the mood of reliable Cuban food.

Yelp

Yelp
Great food for a great price, especially lunch! 12.99! Service was okay but the ambiance was on point. I got the bistec A la plancha and it was one of my top because it was so flavorful

Steph And Mom S.

Yelp
This restaurant has been a staple in my family for years. It was my parents favorite place to enjoy good authentic Cuban food and drinks with friends and family. Last week they hosted my father's 90th birthday. The food and the service was top notch. We had a party of over 20 people and they cater to each and everyone of them. The attention to everyone's needs was amazing. Its a place that welcomes you, not only by providing excellent service but the Cuban ambiance is displayed everywhere, from the décor of the restaurant to the old generation-Cubans patrons that go there to have a good time.

Shayne H.

Yelp
Very polite and speedy service, food was very good. I would definitely eat here again.

Yelp
Wow what a turn around today when we went to lunch here ! They greeted us and the waitress (Cashier 14) could not have been nicer ! The food was delicious as always but the service was warm, professional and so nice !! She went out of her way to make sure that we were having a good time and that all was well. This is what needed to happen and I can't wait to return ! Thank you for paying attention.

Yelp
The food was AMAZING! Great atmosphere outside. Big portion. Chicken Habanero came with 2 chicken breast and the yellow sauce was delicious. Huge red snapper - it was a perfect! The free Cuban bread roll was warm and taste wonderful. A great place to have dinner.
google avatar

Julie K.

Yelp
Real deal Cuban food here. Everything was amazing and cooked to order. Prices were reasonable. The service was particularly slow, though they did seem extremely busy even though it was a Wednesday night. Wouldn't recommend if you're in a rush, but just enjoy the atmosphere and great food.
google avatar

Sergio F.

Yelp
I like the fact that their chicken breast (pollo a la plancha) is actually larger than what they serve of moros! A lot of cuban places do the opposite; don't get me wrong I love moros but now that I'm going low carb / keto-ish Habana Vieja hits the spot. Said chicken breast was pretty juicy, and the fried onions were flash-fried sweet. A slice of lime let me give a quick hint of citrus flavor to both the chicken and rice. The rice itself was just as good, with a right amount of greasiness that makes a good moro. We had ordered their mariquitas (sweet plantain chips) pa' piquar (as a tableside app). While they could have been a little crispier, they were nicely hot as they make them in-house when ordered. Ditto with the bunuelos (fritters) Mima ordered for dessert; she said they were hot and just right on the sugar. I ordered a flan which was perfectly jiggly (I like it like that, not dense). Water refills were always on point, and I liked both the manager and various waiters checking on us and other diners. They have a valet / parking watchman although there's a sizeable self-parking lot.
google avatar

Mercedes C.

Yelp
Good Cuban food served with impeccable high quality servers. Most servers have been there over 20 years. That speaks highly about management. I enjoy the palomilla steak it's exceptional. Upon arriving you may find the strong aroma of cigars outdoors to be rather offensive. It's worst when you leave w a full stomach. The patrons typically drink alcohol outdoors and smoke. If management reads this, I believe he will agree that it might help to relocate the venerable smokers far away from the salle d'attente.

Livi D.

Yelp
Delicious old school Cuban cuisine playing to an absolutely packed restaurant of regulars. This is the real deal. Tasty, perfectly cooked, nicely plated, original steady service that doesn't rush you but is still responsive. There's a long lunch menu that's a great.
google avatar

Will F.

Yelp
My family arranged for a group event here and so we were given a special area of the restaurant for a late lunch. The food was good but could have been much better IF they would have used more seasoning in the food. I had the Beef Stew (Cuban Style) with Moros and Tostones. Both the stew and the moros could have used more salt and seasoning during the cooking process. The tostones were large and rather tasty. The other family members all enjoyed their respective choices as a few of them were from out of state and rarely enjoy Cuban cuisine. The service was EXCELLENT as they brought out all requests very fast and they remembered everyone's order and there were no mix-ups. Good experience overall.

Yelp
Excellent Cuban spot. Tasty food. Great portions and the price is right. Nice cozy spot for some filling food. I'm keeping this one in regular rotation.

Yelp
I've been working near Habana Vieja for nearly three years. Surprisingly in this time, I have only eaten there three times, which is sadly a shame. Yesterday given that I took a half day, I went for lunch there and stuffed myself silly. Anyway, I usually walk over to the restaurant, but yesterday I actually parked there. To those worried about parking, don't fret. There is plenty of it available given that they have a private lot, as well as a few metered parking spaces around. Do note, though, that there is an older gentleman on the premises, ensuring you do not park there if you are not a customer. That being said, just as quickly as I went in, I went out. I do not think I passed half an hour there. Went in, was sat immediately, and greeted kindly. From that moment on, they gave me the day's specials and directed me to the menu on the table. Because I knew what I wanted to order, this did not even take five minutes. I ordered the carne asada, or roast beef, lunch special for $10. My meal consisted of roast beef, as well as moro rice and fried plantains. Not to mention that they gave me complimentary Cuban bread. All this and lots of water made for a very hearty meal. Heck, I ended up with leftovers, which I will be having today. I would have ordered a dessert, too, but I was simply stuffed. This is one of those places that is a bang for your buck, and really now, I repeat it is sadly a shame I do not eat here more often, especially given the proximity. I should change that.
google avatar

Elian Eduardo D.

Yelp
I've been here a couple of times, mostly for lunch with people from the office. This las time was a birthday lunch. Service is relatively fast, so we can come in, have lunch and get back to the office and not lose a lot of time. Taste is quite good too, the vaca frita this las time was on point. We also had some sangria, and though it isn't something that will knock your socks off, it still is a pretty good one to accompany lunch. The service is good, and the fact that they make it easy to split the bills is always a good thing (this sounds like something that shouldn't be too complex, but I've gone places where splitting a bill destroys whatever enjoyment I may have had at the restaurant, here, we just asked. That's it). Overall, a nice place to have lunch.
google avatar

Yelp
Great food and great service. I ordered the Beef Milanesa and was too excited to take the pic before I started eating. I sat right under the ac but they turned it up so it wouldn't be so cold and it was still fine. A very latin community and they speak to you in both english A very latin community and they speak to you in both english and spanish unlike what other people say.
google avatar

Janet S.

Yelp
Super delicious! I had the battered fish and it was soooooo good! We don't speak Spanish so they had to get the translator for the place! But the menu gave the translations so ordering was easy! The fact that no one spoke English eating around us was a good sign that this Cuban cuisine was really good. We sat outside which is great. It was dog friendly and everyone was having a great time! Loved the food! Deli

Ana C.

Yelp
The food is great, customer service sucks. I called during lunch time to place a pick up order and whoever answered hung up every time I called. I had to call about 5 times for them to respond, and I directly requested to speak with a manager to make sure my order was taken. When I arrived the hostess gave me an attitude because I mentioned a discrepancy between the prices listed online and the one I was being charged. She rudely told the manager that I had an issue with the price and rolled her eyes. I told her I went off of the prices online and she said that I should be going by the menu they have in house. Do not go by the prices listed on their website. She also doesn't deserve to have a job at the front of the house treating guests like that. Last time I'll be giving them my business because of her attitude, not the actual food which is wonderful. I've been there many times before, and its the first and only time I have an issue with a disgruntled employee.

Yvonne L.

Yelp
Usual Cuban restaurant fare, service is good and feels like a family restaurant. Good parking.
google avatar

Frederick D.

Yelp
Great Cuban food and you know it's authentic because seated at the bar with me on the last day of this June are a bunch of old men from the motherland. I've been walking past this place on my 2 mile lunch walk a couple of times wondering what the fuss is all about because it's always packed lunchtime. I ordered a con leche and the special of the day which was chicken fricassee. All you had to do is blow on it and it would fall of the bone. Super tender. The dish came with rice and plantains which were soft and sweet. I'm glad I checked in here and can't wait to take Nicole.

Gabriel G.

Yelp
walked in, taken to table no menus where given to us, we had to find a chair that was missing, no bread and water till we asked for it. Really bad vibes employees seemed mad we where there super weird. item on menu said rice included yet had to be one of your sides, asked waiter and he was more lost than me. food was actually good but service was lacking and place seemed run down and awkward , never going again this place was really bad.
google avatar

April J.

Yelp
Super delicious! Love authentic Cuban food and this was exactly what I was craving. The staff is very friendly and professional. This restaurant is following cdc guidelines and social distancing tables. There are some tables available outside. I ordered the ropa vieja con arroz morro y maduros - all very good. My fiancé got the Cuban sandwich and he loved it.
google avatar

Jorge B.

Yelp
I was not very impressed with this restaurant. I had been here a few years ago but it wasn't anywhere near as good as I remembered it. The service was satisfactory but the food was mediocre. The croquetas were way too big and dense. The Bistec Empanizado was cooked in old tasting grease. The plantains were acceptable but the black beans were blase. I won't be going back.
google avatar

Rachel P.

Yelp
Really not my top pick. First off, the seating is awkward. It's like they pushed tables along side a hallway, there isn't a dining area. It's weird. Staff was ok. There was only one server that I remember really being friendly. Now, to what is most important -- food. It was alright. The maduros were their best dish - which says a lot. The moros were ok, and the bread they give you before your meal is not good at all. Croquettes are ok. The tres leches tasted like fridge - you could taste that it had been sitting in there uncovered for a bit. My chicken cordon bleu was almost tasteless. Overall, not sure I would recommend this place to anyone and I don't think I'll be returning.
google avatar

Sam L.

Yelp
Cuban restaurant, from what I know Cubans love using garlic and as I've tried Cuban before I was expecting great food. Although the food didn't taste authentic or well seasoned.. the rice moro didn't have much flavor bit bland los maduros were fine I had the liver which was overall way too salty in the stew and didn't taste fresh. We got the vaca frita which I'd recommend with onions. They have juices but all canned not bad- Service as usual in Miami was super friendly and attentive and the food was reasonably economical. Overall good, might go back again only to try something different.

Yelp
Good Cuban food and good service. Plenty of parking in the rear of the restaurant. Prices are a little high compared to other similar Cuban restaurants. Thet have a bar, and the atmosphere is really nice

Yelp
We loved our meal! The atmosphere inside was charming- old Cuba. We ate "Ropa vieja " which was scrumptious and plentiful. The service was very good, most attentive, from experienced, seasoned waiters. It was quite reasonable for lunch. We will definitely return and recommend it strongly to our friends. Alyse S.

Yelp
Good food but condescending owner. When my mother almost fell over because of a obvious grease spot on the floor the owner responded with eye rolling and slick remarks. When told that the majority of her customers are older people and that we were concerned they would fall she chuckled and said she didn't have time to argue with people who like to argue. Typical restaurant with good food but service that'll have you never wanting to come back.

Yelp
The food was great!! Ropa vieja was excellent! The atmosphere was also wonderful. A separate bar area and a wine wall!

Yelp
Best Cuban restaurant in Miami. I have been coming to this restaurant for over 30 years as they were previously on Coral Way and 36th avenue. I usually have the palomilla steak, rice, maduros and black beans .. DELICIOUS! The service is great and fast and quality is top notch.

Yelp
This place has really fallen apart. It was once great for a long time (we've been going there for decades), but now they can't even keep to their own posted hours. Their food had been fairly competitive with other Cuban places, but the quality seems to have taken a small hit. They are also in the practice of allowing the front door to stay open too long, such that it keeps the place too hot, inviting in too many flies. But if you show up around 9pm on a should-be busy Saturday night (when their area competitors are slammed till midnight or so), planning to eat for 30-45 minutes, they'll assert they're "closed," when (a) absolutely all their online messaging (their website/materials, Yelp, Apple/Google Maps, TripAdvisor) will tell you they are open until 10pm, and (b) where it would still be within standard restaurant custom (yes, everywhere in Miami too) to admit diners until perhaps 9:30pm for a 10pm close and allow the diners 15-30 minutes to wrap up (not even hinting a wrap-up before that). Who doesn't know this? Apparently the current staff imagines they can act like they don't know this, but one thing is sure, my substantially big family (and set of friends) in the area (never mind clients/guests) doesn't need to be abused by this place's anti-customer practices. We'll give this place at least a year break (this usually means 2-3 years break), let everyone know what's going on, and thus may mean that we're done. I really hate to say that, because the place was once great, but they can't be lying to and gaslighting customers the way they're doing now.

Yelp
This place is such a vibe. Especially the outdoor area. And the mojitos and the super friendly waitstaff. Wonderful. I did have a problem with the bathroom. It was a unisex bathroom, and generally speaking (and I say this because I used to work in a restaurant) men bathrooms tend to get gross fast like an uncontrollable fire. It would be nice if the restaurant sought out cleaning it more often, because it smelled like a bunch guys just totally couldn't aim and us lady's shouldn't have to deal with that.

Yelp
We stopped here for lunch. And it was a very pleasant surprise. The food is authentic and delicious. We had fried Yuca and the sauce that came with them was awesome! I had the ropa vieja which was excellent (may I even say better than any I ever had, even the ones I had in Puerto Rico) and my wife had a seasoned fish (with garlic and tomatoes) which was really good too. Portions were larger than average. Service was fast and the people were very nice. We are not from Florida but this is a must do from now on everytime we are in Miami!!
