18 Best Wine Bars in San Francisco - Eater SF

"Is there anything quite as cool as an al fresco pop-up wine bar inside another wine bar? Probably not, which is why Habibi Bar, which opened inside Russian Hill’s Bacchus Wine Bar in August 2020, has become such a hit. By-the-glass options change weekly but usually include about a dozen domestic and European selections with the owners favoring wines made with few additives and organically farmed grapes. The food menu, also ever-changing, might include hummus, charred eggplant dip, or a visiting pop-up in its own right." - Lauren Saria, Eater Staff

Google
Kind, friendly, wine expert. Here you can find unique California wine from small producer, they know exactly what they sell, and can advise you to get the best wine for you. I felt like at home, thanks a lot. I will text you when I open your bottles.

Was recommended by neighboring establishments to check out Habibi Bar - Amazing spot! 70’s middle eastern psych rock, tin fish, and perfectly curated natural wine selection. Bartender and patrons were super friendly - cheers vibes.

Loved this spot! Wine was great and service was excellent! Went above and beyond to accommodate our large party into their space.

Google
They get a bad score because they have a different price for items but then when you order them you go to pay for them they're a whole $10 more that's a big discrepancy and the food portions are really small so a mixed temporary it's gonna cost you $24 and it will literally be the size of your pinky the shrimp.

Yelp
Habibi is such a fun neighborhood wine spot. They have a great outdoor area in the shade under trees that the trolley runs by. On a sunny day, there is not many better spots to be. They also have a wide wine selection and always have a good selection of wines by the glass each day. The bartenders are also very friendly and willing to work with you to find a wine you like if you have any flavor notes or similar wine types to go off of. They not only have good wine but they also have pretty decent little bites and snacks to help you have something to munch on as you sit and sip, especially the labneh! This is a great stop and more laidback than the more upscale option across the street. While there are many wine bars around the neighborhood, this is a constant revisit for me, especially to sit outside on a nice day.

Yelp
A lovely, local neighborhoody, hip, unpretentious wine bar. I love sitting outside with a glass of wine on a nice day, watching the cable cars go by. Almost feels like I'm in Europe. It always feels like a treat when I'm there. Also great place to kill time while I'm doing laundry next door hehe. All the staff are always welcoming with a kind smile. Great selection of wine and I think they invite guest wineries from time to time.

Yelp
Have been excited to try this place out since it started popping up in the neighborhood. Stopped by last night with my uncle and partner to celebrate a belated birthday only to find out there are NO non-alcoholic options - not even sparkling water. Really? Felt pretty uninclusive for a neighborhood spot. I sat with water while my party had a glass of wine. Oh, and we had to wipe down our own table after another group got up - I smeared cheese across the table bc I only had a dry napkin. A little underwhelming.

Yelp
A true neighborhood joint that makes living on Hyde x Green a luxury. Bahman is truly a wine expert, and the selections here are just phenomenal - ranging from fun natty juice to elegant French rarities. The dips are outstanding and all made in-house, and it's always populated by neighborhood heroes.
