The Best Ramen Restaurants in Phoenix, Arizona | Eater Phoenix

"Hachi Ramen is a not-so-hidden gem known for its flavorful and creamy broths developed by chef Bradley An, a lifelong ramen enthusiast who opened the restaurant out of disappointment in not being able to find a perfect ramen in Arizona. Choose between the classics — spicy miso, tonkotsu, miso, or shoyu — or opt for the Hachi special with miso broth and chashu pork." - Jamie Phillis

Google
Love the way we were greeted as we walked in. The presentation of each ramen bowl and side dishes were amazing. Gave us a run down of what we would expect in taste, spiciness, and described each ramen bowls flavor with detail. The guy helping us even offered his recommendations and he did not disappoint. We ordered the spicy miso soup and tonkatsu with a side of fried rice . And every dish was a 10/10 . We will definitely come again.

Google
Just finished my first experience at Hachi Ramen, and I have to say it was an impressive one. The presentation alone was spectacular. It looked so well-crafted that I didn’t even know where to start. I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen, though I was a bit unsure about the tare used. The staff mentioned it was a tonkotsu base but didn’t specify whether it leaned toward shoyu, miso, or another style. Looking at the menu, they do offer different tares, so I wonder if this particular bowl uses a special in-house blend. The broth was lighter than I expected from a tonkotsu, but not in a bad way. In fact, it felt like a great option for when I’m craving ramen but don’t want something overly heavy, especially on a warm day. The aroma of the restaurant alone suggested that the chef is highly experienced, and the broth delivered. I enjoyed it as it was but found that adding white pepper really enhanced the flavor even further. The chashu was easily the highlight of the dish. It was one of the best pork belly chashu cuts I’ve had, perfectly tender with a slightly sweet profile and a fantastic smokiness. The seasoned egg was well-cured, though it was just slightly shy of that ideal jammy texture. The menma was absolutely addictive, and I could eat an entire plate of it by itself. The kikurage and green onions were fresh and well-portioned, adding a nice balance to the bowl. Instead of the standard thin noodles that typically accompany tonkotsu ramen, I opted for the thicker, chewier noodles, and I’m glad I did. They had the perfect bite and paired beautifully with the broth. I appreciate that Hachi Ramen allows for customization in this way. The chashu was so exceptional that by the end of my meal, I decided to upgrade to the chashu fried rice along with a kikurage ramen combo. This was another absolute win. Each grain of rice was cooked properly, separate and not clumped together, just as great fried rice should be. The pickled ginger was a fantastic touch, balancing the dish perfectly. Hachi Ramen delivered a fantastic experience with high-quality ingredients and an expertly crafted bowl. The chashu was a clear standout, and the option to switch up noodle styles was a welcome touch. I’ll definitely be back, especially to try their tsukemen, which will be my first time having it. I’m looking forward to seeing how they execute it. Would I recommend Hachi Ramen? Absolutely. If you’re a ramen lover, especially one who appreciates exceptional chashu, this spot is worth a visit.

Google
Food and service were phenomenal. I travel for work and a local friend recommended this spot. Easily top 3 Ramen spots I ever been to. Texture and Flavor was great!

Google
Hands down, some of the most delicious food I had recently. We ordered Hachi Special, Spicy Miso, Tsukemen, Karaage and Chashu Fried Rice and were absolutely delicious! The food was beautifully presented, the taste is very authentic (no MSG and they make their food from scratch. Very safe for kids) and cook to perfection. Highly recommend!

Google
Tonkotsu ramen was pretty tasty. Their pork belly cha-shu and boiled egg were unexpectedly delicious with some sweet flavor. It is like a desert. Also had fried rice. I like it but it was not what I expected for fried rice. Overall rating is good. I will come back soon.

Google
My first time eating here today, this is such a wonderful small local restaurant with the most sweetest staff. The food was delicious and the environment was awesome and clean with so much decor to look at. I see why this is one of my daughter and son in laws favorite spots to eat at.

Google
Great ramen! The broth is nice and salty, full of flavor. The noodles were also cooked well, and the egg had a bit of sweetness to it. I ordered the combination with karaage and rice. The rice was old (warm, but getting hard), but the chicken was juicy and crispy.

Yelp
I came here a second time with my family for lunch this time. We were greeted at the door and were seated right away. The restaurant was well lit and not overly crowded with too many tables. I had the Shoyu and my parents both had the tonkotsu. We enjoyed the ramen and the soup was indeed very tasty as expected. Our server was friendly and the service was quick. I recommend this place and will come back again.

Yelp
First time here. Small and cute place. The broth was rich in thickness and fat!! Similar to the ones I had in Japan. Flavor was different but still very flavorful. Service was friendly.

Yelp
I have been here a couple of times over the years and it has consistently been great! The tonkotsu ramen here is very good. Although it comes with only one slice of pork and one half egg, you don't really miss them much with how rich the broth is. At $12.75 for a bowl it's really hard to beat. The interior has a similar layout to many sushi restaurants, with kitchen side lowered bar seating as well as several tables about for larger parties. I've mostly visited for lunch over the weekends and never had to wait long for a seat

Yelp
The service was great and very quick. Everyone was very kind. However, we drove across the valley to try their ramen and were sadly disappointed. The broth was salty but lacked any deep, rich flavor. The toppings were cold and sadly didn't get a chance to warm up from the broth. The noodles were okay. I prefer a springy wheat noodle in my ramen, as is featured on the Yelp photos, but we had some thin wheat or rice noodles in our bowls. The pork chashu was really good. Sadly I don't think I'd return, I really wanted to love this place though.

Yelp
Cane here with a buddy for lunch we both got the special's it comes with a ramen, rice and a side. I got the fried chicken which was excellent it had a slight umami flavor to it, i could have eaten another order of it. I had the Hibachi Ramen which was excellent! The noodles had the perfect chew to them, the broth has a nice balance of salty and savory to it. Its in a strip mall my only complaint was the music it was so loud that its hard to have a conversation. Service was efficient and the waitress made sure our drinks were topped off. We will be back

Yelp
Not bad. Among the best locally, though it can't compare to the best in Japan. But it's impractical to go to Japan when you want ramen, so this is a good choice in the Metro area. The flavor was good, and was a sort of echo of the flavors we got in Japan. Not the same, but similar. They did provide just one slice of pork, and it was overly large for one slice. That slice should have been halved, and then another half slice added (for a total of three). That would have been better for using chopsticks, and given a bit more pork. The larger slab was not enough pork for the ramen, and too large to handle easily with chopsticks.

Yelp
Me, hubby and kids went to hachi and let me say it is to GOOD! We were doubting because we are from Las Vegas and used to our china town, but was recommended to come here and it didn't let down. Very nice and clean and owner very hands on. We loved it

Yelp
Excellent Ramen and sides! Been coming here regularly for several years - Hachi Ramen is our favorite Ramen restaurant in the valley. We order Miso and Tonkotsu ramens and Gyoza frequently. Their food is homemade (including broths) and of consistent top quality as a healthy comfort food choice for evening meals throughout the year. With a personable owner and attentive staff, clean and comfortable dining area ... it's a great choice!!!

Yelp
It's nice to support businesses run by young adults. That's all you'll see here. The service was excellent and fast. Takoyaki was very flavorful and there were small pieces of tako in each bite. The ramen had nice broth. But half way through I noticed it getting bit salty as the broth cooled down. The noodle was perfectly al dente. Topping was plenty for me but there were options to add more for extra cost. Enjoy! Highly recommend.

Yelp
The food here was not really that good. When we walked in it smelled like something was burning. It must have been part of what we ordered because not only did my spicy miso broth have a burnt taste to it but my mom's tsukemen meat was burnt and her broth had the same burnt flavor. Disappointed for sure. Waitress's were very nice and accommodating. Inside is ok. Some extra care to the condiments on the tables could use some attention. All were grubby, old dried drippings on bottles, and sticky bottles.

Yelp
I love Ramen. I have tried several here in the area and other cities as well. I will say that for me, Hachi has the tastiest broth. However, I do wish there was an option to add a protein rather than be stuck with only pork belly (chashu). Service is excellent, staff is always very friendly and attentive. It doesn't take long for them to acknowledge you and bring out your meal and drinks. Atmosphere is very relaxed and quaint. I don't think I've ever encountered this place too busy but it's busy enough for regulars to frequent it. If you're in the mood for Ramen, give this place a try!

Yelp
stopped in here for ramen not knowing what to expect but this place was amazing. The staff in here was extremely kind and multiple of them checked on us more than once. The food was amazing and I couldn't recommend anything on the menu more. This is a must go place for ramen.
google avatar

Yelp
I understand that everyone has different taste but, I really don't understand the reviews that say the Ramen here is mediocre or bad. I got the Miso ramen and LOVED IT! The noodles were chewy and a perfect consistency. The egg was perfectly season and cooked right which says a lot considering the last few places I've gotten ramen the egg came out fully cooked which is a bummer. The broth was super flavorful!! I definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
I reeeally wanted to like this place. It was highly recommended by a friend of mine and I made the hour drive from the west valley to the east valley. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy it at all. The waiters were amazing and very attentive and told us about their recommended dish - the spicy miso ramen. We ordered a spicy miso for each and a poke bowl to share. Perhaps it's our palate or it may have been a bad day, but the taste of the ramen was underwhelming. Props where props are due: the egg was cooked perfectly. The poke bowl also under delivered - it looked amazing, but it tasted okay. The location is spacious, there was plenty of seating and no wait.

Yelp
most goated in all of AZ been coming here for years with my brother and family and friends. super friendly owner has come up to greet me and my brother a few times since we've been through so much.

Yelp
A pretty good place to get your ramen fix! I ordered takeout tonkotsu ramen, karaage, takoyaki, and chashu fried rice. The tonkotsu ramen was surprisingly good! The chashu was well-cooked/seared and the broth was quite flavorful. The thin noodles were chewy and paired well with the broth. I ordered an extra soft boiled egg to go with the ramen, and the eggs were well marinated and the yolk had a nice jelly-like consistency. The karaage was pretty good, and they give you decent sized pieces! Overall, I would come back here, as it's kind of hard to find good tonkotsu ramen in Phoenix.

Yelp
A part of me can't help it. As I was going along with my business in Arizona, Chandler area, I had to look up a ramen shop. How far or different can ramen be? As I do my ramen stops, I tend to appreciate the local taste and the chef of that ramen shop's flavor. Service was quick and friendly. I got the hachi ramen, in spicy miso. I didn't understand the server when he was explaining what the hachi ramen was about at first. Then when the ramen came out, it meant double the toppings. The soup was a rich miso flavor and had a nice spicy kick. Noodles were thick and chewy for the spicy miso. Perfect seasoned egg. Flavor is on point and doesn't stray too far from anything I've tasted before.

Yelp
I wanted to love Hachi Ramen, I did, but Hachi couldn't quite live up to its 4.5 rating for me. Pros: -2 pieces of chasu, a boiled egg, bamboo shoots, green onion, and seaweed are included in the Hachi special ($13) -Chasu was well cooked AND you get 2 pieces! -broth was not salty -the spicy paste ($1.50 extra) was not the spiciest ever but when I added the whole container, it got my nose running! -Overall a good, not great, bowl of ramen Cons: -Not so much a con as an inconvenience but Hachi does not have a website. The best way to view their menu is on Yelp or their Facebook page. -Not enough broth to ramen ratio- there was barely enough ramen to cover my noodles when assembled.
google avatar

Paula D.

Yelp
It was okay but I won't go again. The broth had no flavor. All the extras and a hot tea for $28 ... very disappointed. But the owner was very sweet and so was the staff.
google avatar

Joshua G.

Yelp
I always get the Tonkotsu Ramen with extra noodles (so I can take the rest home and make another meal out of the rest) and it's always so scrumptious. The pork here is so tender and delicious. The staff are quick and very nice and courteous. The have Asahi my favorite beer on draft and it's always ice cold and a great compliment the ramen. Definitely come here if you're an anime fan because the decorations are anime related but very tasteful. Def my favorite local spot for ramen!

Yelp
This is a small mom and pop. Love supporting local. The ramen was good but overwhelming. I'd eat again but not go out of my way. I love on the other side of town so this isn't necessarily calling me to drive 45 minutes but if I'm in the area I would surely eat here again. The staff are great and the food is good.

Becky M.

Yelp
I ordered from this place a few years back and really loved it! Fast forward to today and I am very disappointed. I just ordered from this place and my ramen had little to no broth. I thought it was a joke at first but seriously less than a cups worth of broth. I also ordered some gyoza and I didn't get any dipping sauce. PLUS, they were soggy by the time they were delivered so maybe don't order those to go like I did. Lastly, my review is two stars because the ramen itself did have good flavor but I find it sinful to serve Ramen with that little broth :(

Yelp
I'm sorry but this place was a HUGE no for me. In addition to it being hella hot when you walk in, the food was just meh. The waitress was up charging me on everything. I got a basic ramen bowl that was much smaller than average. The noodles that were on the menu were some fettuccine looking noodles. When I asked her for the regular ramen she said "oh like the ones in top ramen?" I was like okay? The food came out and it was 1/2 of a tiny egg, some nasty corn that tasted old and wilted, and some crunchy noodles. My son ordered the gyoza and the were burnt on one side and the other side was soggy and wet. They gave us some vinegar to eat them with and my son threw them away as soon as we got home. The server saw that my son took one bite and left them all there. I didn't want to be rude and took the box when she offered it. We also got two waters. my bill came out to $28. I gave the waitress $40 and she asked me if I needed change. I hate when servers do that! Like girl! Get real, I'm not going to give you a 45% tip for some nasty ass ramen and mediocre service. Yes! Bring me my damn change. She looked hella annoyed and only came back with $2 and a $10. Yup, guess her tip? Sorry, but not sorry....had she given me two $5 bills i would have gladly left her $7 tip but don't play games with me. I will never return. This place was a total downer for me. Next time I will read more of the reviews. I was just starving when I was searching and they were the closest to me.

Yelp
I love me sone good ramen. This place is good for the price. Ramen is all about the broth. I had the tonkatsu ramen. It was good. I felt the broth was a bit weak this go around. I do love moyashi in my ramen. I opted out of the spicy mixture and used the red pepper this time and it was just as hot without the extra 1.50. I prefer the curly noodles next time I will ask for the curly vs tfw straight noodles. I didn't realize they had 2 different kind. The shoyu ramen came with the curly noodles I plan on trying the shoyu next time. My son did enjoy his spicy miso ramen he said the flavor was good on his. I was full after the bowl. I'm still trying to find a ramen spot better than Unemura in Gardena, CA or equivalent to them. #stilllookingforhotramenspot

Maddy K.

Yelp
I've been sick the past couple of days. Stopped in for some ramen and ended up getting the friend rice and gyoza as well. 10/10, the service was amazing very friendly staff! And a great cozy vibe, my new go to ramen place!!
google avatar

Chia-Sheng L.

Yelp
Ramen is decent, broth is on the salty side, however, thick and good. The ramen presentation can use some more Japanese touch than Chinese touch. Broth needs thinner and slightly less salt to be able to enjoy the flavor of broth. Services is ok. Much more of new age, young employees working at the place. Ambiance is good if everyone less social in the kitchen. And put personal water bottle off food preparation area.
google avatar

Phoebe M.

Yelp
Tonight I came here for the same Tonkotsu Ramen and it is still the bomb! Hot broth for cold night. The takoyaki was yummy too! Just the right amount of chewy! Thumbs up

Yelp
Nestled in a strip mall, Hachi ramen was discovered during a yelp search for a ramen lunch outing in a Saturday. The positive reviews made Hachi ramen our go to for the lunch hour. The restaurant did a great job with social distancing and there were maybe 4 other parties still there. We were seated promptly at the bar and had attentive waiters ready to get our drink and food orders. They have combination plates as an option so I ordered the gyoza combo which included a good sized shoyu ramen (the other option is Tonkatsu), rice, and gyoza. You have the option to substitute for their Hachi ramen, chashu rice, garlic fried rice, etc for additional fee. Overall, the Shoyu ramen was good but on the saltier side, hence my 4 stars. The chashu was very tender and melted in my mouth which is a plus when considering how much I love ramen. The gyoza and karage (which my friend ordered) weren't as great in my opinion so stick to the ramen! I would definitely come back and try their Tonkatsu or Hachi Ramen. I usually tend to go to shoyu as my first visit as this is my go to for every new ramen place I try. Don't let the Phoenix heat drive you away from a hot bowl of ramen!

Yelp
Popped in with a friend on a Friday evening around 6pm. It was getting crowded, but groups of 2-4 were seated relatively quickly as tables were cleared efficiently. Service and food prep time was very speedy, and the waitstaff was very attentive and friendly! I opted for the karaage combination w tonkotsu ramen, which I thought was the best bang for your buck. Karaage was alright - 3 small pieces of asian fried chicken (some pieces tougher than others) on a bed of shredded cabbage, bowl of rice, and two types of pickled veggies on the side (radish + green bell pepper). Ramen itself was good - broth was flavorful but could have been hotter (temperature wise), noodles were okay, slice of pork was pretty good (nice amount of fat/meat ratio), and the halved soft boiled egg was alright. If the broth temperature was piping hot, I think it would have been a lot tastier, but overall, pretty decent ramen! I also like the various toppings available at the table for your food - chili oil, chili flakes, vinegar, soy sauce, pepper, etc.
google avatar

Elena W.

Yelp
Portion size was huge but the ramen it's self was not what I was expecting. Pretty bland My sister definitely makes a homemade version better but we loved the mango cream soda and there version of fried chicken (I can't remember exactly what it was called on the menu.) was great We do not eat pork as well and they did accommodate great for that but there isn't a lot of options on their menu that doesn't have pork. And there wasn't a kids meal option.
google avatar

Vanessa S.

Yelp
Best. Ramen. In town. Fair portions, quality ingredients & flavor and excellent service!
google avatar

Izzy G.

Yelp
Based in my limited Japanese vocabulary I've determined the name is either Ramen Bowl or a funny take on Eight (ate) Ramen. Anyways..... I ordered the Takoyaki as an appetizer. I love that stuff. 6 came in the order. For my entree I got the Tonkatsu Ramen which was tasty, only issue was the noodles were a little hard for my liking, so I just let them sit in the broth a little longer to soften up. The dish had good flavor though. Price was decent, service was fast and friendly. I'd come back here again.
google avatar

Katy J.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem. We love their rich, complex Ramen broth. We've never been disappointed!! Service is on point every time we visit, also. I'm afraid to say because the Ramen is so delicious, we've never ordered any other menu items except the Gyoza which is also very good! Next visit, I'm going to try something else, lol!!
google avatar

Toshi L.

Yelp
I visited here for dinner had tsukemen (dipping ramen) and it was delicious! The dipping sauce was very flavorful with a bit of fish taste and rich! The pork charshu was so tender and I'd definitely try again. Our server was very friendly and the owner was working also. Very nice man! Nice decor with Japanese anime stuff on the wall.
google avatar

Janelly A.

Yelp
This place can't be replaced. No ramen in the valley compares. The owner comes in daily to taste test all the broths. The food is always fresh and served fast. I recommend the Tonkotsu and Takoyaki.
google avatar

Paul V.

Yelp
The service staff was polite and efficient; the interaction was a step above a typical a fast food restaurant. The takoyaki was mostly dough; I could barely taste or make out the tiny piece of octopus in each ball. The dipping sauce was too salty for me. Both my wife and I ordered the house special ramen. The broth was barely warm, cooled down too quickly, diminishing the eating experience. Both of us could not taste anything but saltiness in the broth. I don't think we will return to this restaurant.
google avatar

Kambiz K.

Yelp
This ramen place is tucked inside a strip mall. I picked it because of several reviews. The positives were no MSG, which is big for me and the noodles were thin and al-dente. The negatives were the century egg as you can see in my photo was effectively a dried shriveled powder ball which was disappointing but also the cleanliness of the facility was lacking. My ramen bar top was sticky and disgusting to eat off of. The men's bathroom was absolutely a wreck. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be going back as the cons outweigh the pros of this place. And I can't recommend this place because it the hygienics of this place was questionable at the time i went.

Yelp
I was quite surprised to find myself enjoying the ramen here as much as I did. I came for a post-shopping lunch on Black Friday with my mom. We came around 12:30 pm and were seated immediately at the last open table. Other folks who came later had to wait briefly for a table, so definitely seems to be a pretty hopping spot. We ordered the takoyaki ($6.50) to start. They came out piping hot with a generous amount of sauce and dried fish flakes. I'm pretty picky when it comes to takoyaki but the balls here were delicious. Perfectly mushy on the inside. For my main, I went with the Hachi special ($12.99) with tonkotsu broth. It comes with a very generous amount of bamboo shoots and dried mushroom, as well as a soft boiled egg and two pieces of chashu. There was so much of the bamboo and mushroom I had to give some to my mom. I really liked the chashu; it was fairly fatty so it melted in my mouth. There was also a surprising amount of noodles; both of us were struggling to finish at the end. My least favorite part of the meal was the eggs. They were cooked perfectly with a soft yolk but were surprisingly sweet. The flavor didn't go well with the rest of the bowl. Don't forget to check in on Yelp! You get a free sesame balls with a minimum order of $30 or more.

Yelp
Decent food, good customer service, that's all! Went with my husband for a quick lunch stop as we were around the area. The restaurant wasn't busy so got seated quickly. The menu was short and limited making it easier to choose the item. We ordered Gyoza combo with Katsu ramen, Karage chicken, a side of chilli paste, and another order of Tonkatsu ramen. The Gyoza combo came with a bowl of Katsu ramen (pork based), a side of steamed rice, 3 pieces of Gyoza, and some pickles. The Karage chicken was okay! Had better, the pieces were big though, hard to get hold of. Now, the ramen. The broth was flavourful, the noodles good, however, didn't like the egg, which was bit on the sweeter end (This was my first time having sweet egg in ramen). The Gyozas were below average, a bit cold, and not so much flavor in the filling. Three stars for the overall experience. Not sure if I will be returning but overall pretty decent food. P.s. they have yelp check in offer.

Yelp
I have been to this place couple of times now and tried their dishes. The people here are very friendly and you are seated immediately. The food is served pretty fast too. Both the times during my visit the place had pretty good number of people. Its like a quick sit, eat and leave kind of restaurant. I have tried their Shoyu, miso ramen and their appetizer Takoyaki. Somehow I am not very convinced on the taste of their broth. I liked Miso ramen but it had very less meat than what I would expect. My favorite of the three I tried were the appetizer. It was really good and would go for it again. My friends love this place but I am not a fan though. May be its just that I have tried better broths and ramen in other places. Their options are a hand few and once in a while works good but definitely not on my rotation for sometime. The price is average but again less meat for a $12 ramen.

Yelp
Yes, if you're looking for a place to have Ramen! This is your sign to come here and let them know what you'd like. Waitress was super friendly and helpful with all our questions! Yummy food and relaxing atmosphere!

Yelp
Second week in a row for raman and this place is great. Good ramen (I got the spicy miso) with a side of fried rice and karaage, and my only complaint with the whole place was that it could have used a little more salt in the rice, but they got the consistency and overall feel of what I used to get back in Japan. The set will put you back $20 after tax but it's hard for one person to finish it all and they can box up leftovers. Very nice staff, clean, easy parking, very good service.

Yelp
My hobbies include eating and thinking about what I'll eat next. Had this bookmarked for awhile and finally made it here. We didn't do dine in but service was so excellent that I would consider it another time. Ordered the spicy broth on the hachi special ramen. At first glance, it seemed small but once you compile your meal, it was more than enough. You get fresh egg noodles, slices of pork belly, a side of sprouts/green onions/corn, sweet soy egg, and fresh seaweed. This was my favorite. Flavorful and spicy but not heavy. My brother loved the spicy miso ramen but thought it was slightly salty. Definitely will be back for more items to try. Definitely impressed by the service. I have a condition that prevents me from dieting. I am hungry all the time. I eat. I eat a lot. And I would eat here again.

Yelp
Hachi Ramen Came here in a Friday night, really busy with people waiting to be seated but with just two were seated right away at the counter. Ended up it was a large party, which if there is more than five you maybe better off splitting up. Not to many tables to begin with and bigger groups not suggested on a busy night. Broth was good and especially liked it because it was not salty like other places. Ordered the Hachi Ramen and the Combination with Tonkotsu and Karage Chicken. The Hachi Ramen has about everything offered on the side, not sure what it was maybe the seaweed but did not care for the one particular item. The Karage Chicken was tasty and very tender, would order that again. Our waitress was very good and did everything to make our experience good. Small menu of items, but that is not a negative, just make good ramen.

Yelp
I stayed in Tempe over the weekend and was craving some soup and noodles. I love ramen and noticed the rave reviews here so my husband and I decided to give this place a chance. Mind you, we are from LA, and have plenty of delicious ramen options. I noticed that the staff was not Japanese. That's not always a bad thing, but looking back it should have been a red flag. It appeared to be busy, but we were seated pretty quick, within 10 minutes. I ordered the hachi shoyu ramen and my husband ordered the hachi tonkotsu ramen. We also ordered a chashu fried rice and takoyaki as well. The appetizers came out first. Some of the takoyaki were still cold inside. The chashu fried rice barely had any pork in it. Also, it tasted more like Chinese fried rice than Japanese fried rice, which should have been a second red flag. After nearly 50 minutes of waiting for the ramen, they finally arrived at our table. The first thing both my husband and I did was taste the broth. The shoyu broth tasted like soup you get at a Chinese restaurant. The tonkotsu broth was a little bit better. The flavored egg wasn't quite right. The pork was a bit chewy. The best part of the bowl was the seaweed. The noodles I got were thicker than the noodles my husband got... the inconsistency was just strange. I really didn't like the food and the wait here. It definitely was not worth it for me.

Yelp
This is my second time eating ramen and this experience was much better then my first. Although my last visit was at another restaurant in another state.. We were quickly greeted and seated as we walked in. The two employees working were very friendly and attentive. We looked over the menu and we knew what we wanted. I wanted ramen with the chicken broth and the hubby wanted the spicy ramen. I added more bean sports, mushrooms, a side of the chili, and green onions to mine, while my husband ordered extra pork and noodles for his. We didn't have to wait too long for our ramen to arrive. I was in heaven. The bowl smelled delicious when it was brought out to us, and so we dug in immediately. The bowls looked small when they were placed right in front of us, but no, we couldn't even finish them! Portions are big and there is no need to order extra ramen as the bowl already has a lot. My broth was delicious! We shared a melon soda and it reminded me of the melon soda I used to drink in South Korea. Yum! We really enjoyed this cute place and will be back again sometime! Oh and yes I love ramen nowwwwww!

Yelp
Honestly the taste is very decent, they are quick and typically never get the order wrong, however now for the 3rd time this year I get this poverty ass serving size of broth..... 2 ramens 36$ for Both and not even enough broth to cover my noodles....

Yelp
This is awesome ramen! I'm from Los Angeles and ramen shops are on every corner so I have a pretty good palate for what good ramen is. Hachi ramen delivers a very good ramen and probably one of the best ramen in the east valley. One thing I love about them is they make their broth daily and it's a nice clean broth. Add just a little chili oil.and soy sauce, it's perfect! The noodles are good but nothing special and the chashu pork pretty tasty. Honestly I really enjoyed the egg in the soup. It's a nice sweet taste with a perfectly cooked yoke. I can eat those all day! We also had the gyoza which is hand made on the spot and tasted awesome. I appreciated they give you vinegar for the gyoza. Love to have that vinegar with soy sauce blend for the gyoza. We did order a side of the fried rice which is delicious with the added bits of chashu pork. Yummy! All around good food and good environment with nice people. Check this place out!

Yelp
Best ramen and karaage I've had since being back in Arizona! The restaurant is hot, that's why 4 stars but the food was worth it!
