Excellent service. Food came out quickly and hot. Everything tasted great and the atmosphere was nice. Everything looked clean and the staff were very polite and professional.

One of the best vegan ramen in Downtown. I had white creamy ramen with very good gluten-free noodles. Also gyozas and avocado-veggie sushi with leafy salad with tasty vegan dressing - everything this was good! Pretty nice vegan menu for a reasonable price! Nice service, thank you!

Great ramen, cool vibes. Of all the ramen spots we visited in Little Tokyo, this was the best. We saw lines out the doors at other places but this is seemingly a hidden gem. The shoyu broth was insanely good. The spicy ramen was bonkers. It verges on the edge of “too spicy” but spice-heads will love it. 10/10. Will visit again.

Very nice ramen place! The restaurant has a great atmosphere, a bit like how you would imagine old Japan looked like. I ordered the vegan ramen with red broth and would definitely recommend. The portions are generous and the waiters are very friendly ☺️

I thoroughly would recommend this place. I enjoyed my Japanese server, who gave us the best recommendations. Their happy hour was priced right with cheap beer (Sapporo for $2.99) and 20% off all apps. This made the spicy garlic edamame, gyoza, and the freshly-made karaage slap even harder. Then the main course - the ramen! Just decent but very filling. I went for the ‘Umi’ (sea) ramen which had just a bit more dashi / bonito flavoring than I had bargained for. The Yuzu Shio ramen with duck, which I got another time, was significantly better, leaner, with better flavor. We are stuffed after splitting our fresh karaage ($7.99 during happy hour, with $2.99 pints of Sapporo!) and enjoying our respective ramen bowls. This place is a strong rec!

Traveling with my father who has never had ramen or gyoza in his life and I don't think I could have picked a better place in all of the world outside of Japan for him to try. This place is awesome, the service and the atmosphere is top notch and the food was delicious 😋 I was in heaven and the happy hour beer was a great deal. My Dad loved it he said it was so flavorful and said he's never had anything like it. It was awesome to share this experience and I would eat here again any day of the week. I am fat and happy and you should be too!

As I walked in, I was warmly greeted by a friendly Japanese lady quickly set me down. The place feels very authentic. I ended up ordering the Ramen with the duck and gyoza. The green tea from Dan was also delicious. The only thing I would say is that the place needs to be touched up and cleaned up more regularly. As well as the bathroom ghaving a fresh coat of paint. Other than that…I will definitely go there again as the food was great!

Came here in a rainy night and it was amazing. Food: 5/5 I got the Umi ramen. It was hearty and the broth was rich. The noodles were chewy and the meat was tender. Price: 4/5 Most of their items are around $15 - $16. It was a pretty big bowl. Ambiance: 5/5 We got seated at the bar. We chill vibes and very clean. Service: 5/5 No wait on a Thursday night. Food came out pretty quickly.

So disappointed eating here today. I couldn't finish ramen not taste good. I heard here is best shoyu ramen in LA but not. So sad.

This reminds me of getting ramen in Japan! There are a lot of menu items to choose from, but you can't go wrong with the ramen. The shio is just the light kind of ramen I was looking for! My boyfriend's black garlic tonkotsu was creamy, if you're looking for that. We enjoyed the made to order garlic edamame (asked for no spice and it was possible). The yuzu sherbet was also a great way to end the meal to try to get rid of our garlic breath. Note- the hot green tea is a tea bag that you steep in a cup of hot water. I was able to ask for more hot water later in the meal. Arigato for the nice meal! The staff were very attentive and we'd totally come back when in Little Tokyo.

Always delicious, great helpful service. Be very careful to explore exactly what is and is not gluten free. This is a great restaurant to double date or come with friends - nice place to eat a warm bowl of soup.

Feels like you're transported to Tokyo when you're here. Nothing fancy but delicious food. I tried the Tonkosu Ramen (I believe) and it was absolutely amazing. Honestly, I've been to so many popular Ramen spots in LA from salt tale to Little Tokyo and in between and this was honestly hands-down my favorite. I've tried in LA the Matcha beer didn't taste like Ramen it just taste like beer lol. It's a chill atmosphere and service was good. I highly recommend checking it out and would definitely come back.

Just as good as I remembered it to be! The broth is so delicious and easy to drink, not too heavy. Love their duck protein, but you can choose pork or other meats to top your ramen as well. Also got their takowasa which was nice and refreshing with the kick of fresh Miami wasabi sauce to it. Inside is very cozy, love the decor and feels like a homey hole in the wall.

Everytime I go to Little Tokyo I seem to end up here and that's a good thing. Restaurant is tiny with only 6 tables and a a 8-top bar. It's cozy and clean. I ordered the roast duck rice bowl and the spicy edamame. Those green beans are like my favorite food. Spicy, garlic, outrageous! And the whole meal including a yuzu beer was like $25 and more food than I could eat. I'd love to try other places around here but it just always hits the spot at a really great price!

Randomly chose this place, as there was no line (surprised as it was Saturday lunch time) and loved it! The salmon was a little over seared but the sauce was amazing. It kind of tasted like unsightly sauce. The ramen was perfect consistency and not heavy. They gave a good amount of noodles and it wasn't too hard nor soft. The waitress was super sweet and patient. Will definitely be back, especially to try the matcha sake/beer!

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and was pretty empty. It picked up around 7pm so we were glad we went there early. The restaurant felt cozy with Japanese theme decor. I got the Yuzu ship ramen which was delicious. The yuzu slices made the soup broth slightly citrusy and not too oily overall. Definitely coming back here again!

Delicious ramen spot in the heart of Little Tokyo. The place is small so it fills up quickly but it's wonderfully decorated. While it is a ramen place, they serve a large variety of other dishes like gyoza, karage, bao buns, so even those who aren't into ramen can find something they like. Even just considering the ramen they have a lot of options to choose from. As expected, everything here tasted phenomenal. The Tonkotsu I had here definitely brings me back to the ramen I had in Japan. I also particularly liked the yuzu sherbet and the matcha sake cocktail I ordered. The service was great and the food came out quickly even though the place was pretty busy. You really can't go wrong with choosing to come here!

Needed a vegan friendly place to dine with my friend and this place was a great option. As a non vegan myself, there were more than enough options. The ramen was delicious. Broth was flavorful. They cooked the noodles firm like I requested. The curry rice bowl was filling. Price was great as well. Will def be coming back!

A super refreshing ramen spot! I love how fresh and light the broth is! A lot of ramen has heavy broth which is good, but can leave me stuffed and over-salted. But not here! I got the yuzu shio ramen and loved the yuzu flavor. I thought the yuzu would get drowned out, but it was a highlight flavor without overshadowing the original broth! The noodles were perfect as were the meat. I highly recommend this ramen spot! It's equally good as Orochon or Daikokuya.

I found this gem of a place as I was walking down and around Little Toko. My friend wanted something to drink, and I saw a poster on the window with a sign that said happy hour 3pm-7pm, so we went in. The happy hour included several appetizers to choose from ranging from $4-$7, which was a better price from the restaurants actually on the walkway in Little Toko, this restaurant is on 1st st. The service was awesome, the food was delicious, and the price was right. This is a small cozy, but yet a delicious place to come and eat. Next time I'm in town I will definitely try their Ramen which they are known to have very good ramen of different kinds with a choice of topping as duck oooooh. I had the Edamame with garlic, but with no spice it doesn't sit well with me lol Boooo. The fried chicken appetizer was very tasty. I'll most definitely need to revisit this spot to try more menu options including the ramen with duck.

It's not a big place but who really cares when the food is so delicious. I've had the bun burgers, fried rice, gyoza, spring rolls, spicy ramen, crispy spicy tuna, and a good iced green tea. ALL OF IT WAS PLEASING TO MY TASTE BUDS. That fried rice was my favorite, I did substitute the pork for chicken. For dessert I had the sorbet which was light on the sweetness and refreshing. I did pick out the orange peels, they were a little too sour for my liking. The service was really good. The waitresses were very polite and they were very attentive.

Great ramen! Highly recommend the Tonkotsu UMI Ramen. My wife had the Hachioji SHIO ramen and it was just as great. The inside of the restaurant is also really nice and decorated. Service was fantastic and I look forward to coming again! Side note, parking is always difficult in this part of town. If you don't mind walking, I always find parking just a short walk away, especially on E Temple St.

My friend and I had lunch at Hachioji Craft Ramen around 12:30pm on Saturday. It wasn't busy at this time, so we walked-in and got seated at the bar quickly. The shop is quaint and charming, and the decor is eclectic. The staff were friendly and service was fast. I got the Tonkotsu Umi Ramen and shared the Takoyaki with my friend. The ramen broth was flavorful, the noodles had good texture, and the toppings were plentiful. The takoyaki was crispy, creamy, and umami. The food was delicious and I liked the atmosphere a lot. I'd definitely come back to Hachioji Craft Ramen!

Cool vibe. I went there on a Friday night and they were pretty busy but they sat us right away. The service was really fast which was surprising with how busy they were. They had a good amount of vegan options, and the vegan katsu bowl was good. My friend ordered the Matcha Sake which I had a sip of and I wish I wasn't the one driving because it was amazing. I don't normally drink or like the rest of alcohol but that was very good

My favorite dish here is the Spicy Dry Ramen, which is sans soup but definitely not "dry" with a perfect blend of spices and so much flavor. I had to return twice in one week for this meal because I craved it so bad. Do not miss the fried chicken. It's one of the best I've had with five large pieces and a side of a mayo-based sauce and a slice of lemon that pairs nicely with the chicken. Service is quick and food comes out fast. The wait staff do leave you alone once everything has arrived which means you may need to flag them down with eye contact and a quick "sumimasen" for them to bring out any containers for leftovers and the check. The interior is themed in a way that looks like a Japanese yokocho (alleyway) where ramen places such as this exist in Japan.

Very small and cozy space with quick and friendly service! Ordered the salmon sashimi rice bowl, which was so fresh and delicious. The complementary miso soup and house salad are some of the best I've had too. Located near the Little Tokyo main plaza, where there are plenty of shops, dessert options, and restaurants.

Food was really good. We ordered crispy spicy tuna, gyoza, and Tonkotsu Umi Ramen. The broth was good and the bowl was very filling we shared it and still ended up very full. The waiters were kind mildly attentive. Most ramen places in little Tokyo rush you to order but they were very patient here which was nice! The ambiance was great! Definitely felt like I was in a little ramen shop in Japan.

Two excellent options of vegan ramen. Loved both. Vegan white is creamy and not spicy. Service was fast.

When it comes to summer time, I do enjoy cold noodles. Whether it be Japanese, Chinese, or Korean cold noodles, I make sure to visit as many times as I can, because in most restaurants cold noodles are seasonal. Hachioji has good cold noodles, not great like Daikokuya. Shin Sen Gumi has good to great cold noodles, I forgot because I don't remember if they do. Will make sure to visit Shin Sen Gumi later this summer. There are better options for cold noodles than Hachioji, but Hachioji has plenty of vegan options at Ramen.

I came here for lunch on a Wednesday right at opening and we're seated right away. The place was empty and the server came by quickly. They had a lunch special that was a good deal since it came with an appetizer, salad and ramen and was only like $2 more than a regular ramen. I also topped it off with a "mega" mug beer which was also a good price! The mug came out so frosted that the outside had ice chunks. The ramen has a strong flavor and the meat was tender. I love love love their noodles here !! It was perfectly bouncy. I prefer this ramen location over daikokuya next door. They also have a duck ramen !! I'll definitely be coming back here to try it.

If you're looking for good vegan ramen this is the spot! Most vegan ramen is either bland and forgettable or actually gross but the spicy vegan ramen at hachioji is my absolute fav. So delicious.

Ordered Hachioji Shoyu Ramen ($15) and it was SO good. The broth was so light and flavorful, and the portion size was on the larger side. I ordered pork with my ramen which tasted delicious. The shop was super cute with fun, quirky decor, and the staff was respectful and quick. Highly recommend coming here.

First of all, I love the vibe of this place. I can go in here for lunch, and I feel that I'm having my ramen at sunset in a Japanese province. The posters and vintage feel of the place make this dining experience immersive. This ramen place is underrated and it's definitely my favorite. I found myself downing the entire broth of the Yama ramen. The ramen is just right. It's about at the right price Dora filling meal. It has the right amount of noodles, meat, onions and broth flavor for a savory and comforting meal. Service is pretty decent. I didn't have any issues. Otherwise I would recommend this ramen place in Little Tokyo, don't skip out on this one!

This place is great, the ambiance is so cozy and perfect for a weekday date night. The service is also amazing, they are so attentive and nice. My go to is the combo ramen and rice bowl which is always plenty of food for my boyfriend and I to share. Would definitely recommend this place!

We ordered duck noodle ramen, vegan gyoza, and edamame! The noodle dish looked very appetizing even though the portion was standard, it would have been nice if there were more duck meat and noodles. The vegan dumplings had a soft and squishy texture and a bland filling, but the sauce added a rich flavor and nice kick to it. I enjoyed the edamame the most because it was served warm and overflowed the platter. Even though the topping was salty, it complemented the soy beans well. It's definitely something I'd order again next time, and I would like to try the ramen as well. Everything was handled quickly and efficiently by the staff. There were two very friendly and nice ladies who made sure we had everything we needed! Arigato gozaimashita!!

This is a happy hour review. Came here on my way back home from work. Was walking down first and saw the happy hour sign. I couldn't refuse the deal for $2 beers and I enjoyed my meal. Will come back again!

Delicious! This is the first place ive ever seen with DUCK RAMEN?! I went here with some friends on a Friday night and i had a great time! Food was absolutely delicious, i got the ramen combo with duck ramen and a duck rice bowl! Ramen was flavorful, rich and hot, perfect for a cold day! The duck was super tender and juicy! I loved it! They also have a variety of different toppings and vegetarian toppings too! 10/10 would eat again!

I got the spicy vegan ramen but only a little bit spicy! The broth is absolutely stunning, a creamy miso broth. So many green onions and mushrooms. Noodles were great. My only issue was the tofu, it took the ramen from 9.5/10 to 8/10. It was very watery, like it had not been pressed enough. I would've loved to see some element in the tofu that was special as well (a gentle sear or marinade). Great amount of spice . Happy hour is amazing!! Beer comes in a freezing cold glass service great as well.

Service is great and the place is pretty chill. The vibe makes me feel like i'm in Japan. Love their ramen selection but i ordered the mazesoba and it's really good! Would totally recommend. The food has a little kick but since my spice level is pretty high so it was tolerable.

This is no longer the hachioji we frequented. Not sure if it's under new management/ownership. Food no longer tastes the same, almost flavorless. They now have 2 types of Tonkatsu ramen and the uni one is terrible. The "crispy chicken" rice is NOT crispy and it's full of tendons and fat. If you have a party of 5 you will AUTOMATICALLY be charged a "party" tip. Which is unfair considering there's only one table for 5+. They have terrible service, we were never asked if we wanted more water. Cherry on top it was hot as hell in there with what seemed like no air no ventilation. This is no longer the "bad bunny" spot it was.

We ended up at this ramen shop when the line was out the door for daikoku. We were seated immediately in their traditionally-decorated restaurant. The tonkatsu ramen with chashu pork and black garlic in the broth was delicious. The bamboo shoots could've been softer and there could've been more toppings, but I'd order it again. The shio ramen with chicken left something to be desired. It came with a ton of raw onions and very tough and chewy chicken pieces. It also lacked the rich flavor that the tonkatsu had. The karaage and gyoza were both yummy appetizers, though I've had better gyoza. I'd go back, but I'd be very careful with what I order and make sure to check the listed toppings.

I'll be honest I am NOT a ramen guy AT ALL. To me it's a glorified cup of noodles lol so anyway I had the rice bowl with beef and some takoyaki. The takoyaki 4 out of 5 I mean it was pretty good. The teriyaki bowl tasted like something I can get at Yoshinoya so, I mean it's ok at best. I give it 2 out of 5 BUT. BUT remember this a ramen place and I can't rate that. So I'll give it a 2.5 overall. The service was ok. Nothing fancy, nothing substandard. Ambiance was ok as well.

Our waiter was dismissive and impatient. There was a mistake in my order and he justified I chose the wrong item. He didn't consider to correct the order for me. He looked pale and skinny. Might be on drugs. Bad service for sure.

Great spot! Surprised there was no wait on a Saturday night when everything else was packed. The two bowls of ramen are both great and not overly salted.

I came here based on the high reviews but was disappointed. The broth was kind of bland in my opinion. We ordered two bowls but for some reason the waiter only put one in. My son noticed the mistake on the order screen since we were sitting near it. I mentioned it to the waiter and he put the second order in. The first bowl came out a minute later (5 min after we ordered. The second bowl came out over 20 min later. After bugging them a couple of times. We won't be back The Takoyaki was very good I will say

Me and the kid have had lunch here a few times now. The kid always orders the same thing: their shoyu ramen. We make it a combination by ordering the salmon and ikura bowl, plus we also get a small side salad. I also add to this an order of their buns... I've tried all of them, but my favorite by far is the spicy chicken one. A tall glass of iced green tea, and me and kiddo are set. The food is delicious, and for a tired momma with a picky eater kid, this place takes care of us. It's a small place, but the food comes out fast so you're not waiting long. There's a study stream of ppl coming in and out, so they churn out their clientele quick! It's a better alternative than waiting for an hour at the other place that's a couple doors down! Go! You won't regret it!

I'll be honest I visited this ramen spot because did Bad Bunny's music video unfortunately the table he was seated at was unavailable but not a total loss lol. I ordered the vegan Vegan Red Ramen and added a spice bomb - it wasn't spicy enough for me it was border line mild. I also ordered the Chicken Karrage which I love to dip into my soup. The spice garlic edamame was ok it had way too much minced garlic. The service was ok they did forget to bring the edamame but brought it over as soon as we reminded them. 6/10 would recommend

Ramen was somewhere between good and average. But the fried chicken was extremely greasy and more fried batter than chicken.

Great lunch spot in Little Tokyo! I really loved the atmosphere, and the inside felt homey and comfortable. There is both counter seating and table seating, though not a ton of both (wasn't too crowded when I visited)! I ordered the shoyu ramen and the kuraage. The ramen was good but really savory. Noodles had nice texture! The fried chicken was also delicious. Food came relatively quick, and servers were nice :) all around very solid restaurant!

First time trying Hachioji today. I had the Hachioji Shoyu Ramen, Assorted Appetizer, Sapporo Mega mug special, and Yuzu Sherbert. Everything was great and delicious I highly recommend this place. The staff was very accommodating Asami, and Yumi made me feel welcomed for the first time.

It would seem like in the Los Angeles area that there is an overabundance of ramen shops that serve only tonkotsu ramen. Don't get me wrong. Tonkotsu ramen is good, but sometimes I want something else like a good Tokyo style shoyu ramen. Keep in mind that they also serve tonkotsu ramen here. It's always good to have variety. I last came here on a Thursday afternoon to get a bowl of ramen before catching a matinee over at the Ahmanson Theatre. Since I was dining solo, I was seated promptly at the bar. I ordered their lunch special with a shoyu ramen with duck meat and karaage as my appetizer. It also came with a small house salad. The food really hit the spot as it had been raining off and on for the past couple of days. As per the norm for Japanese restaurants in Little Tokyo, the service was nice and friendly.

Arrived, signed my name on the paper and was seated almost immediately at the bar. The restaurant is small and very tight to move around in. They played early 2000's rap music which was...??? to me, but I enjoyed hearing bits of my tweens - Lil Jon, Juvenile, Nelly, Rich Boy. Got the Tonkotsu Yama Ramen. It arrived piping hot and was honestly delicious. The egg was nice and jammy and flavorful and the chashu was tender. It has black garlic oil on top, so good! Also got the pork and chicken dumplings and they were good, but nothing to rave about, so I ate one and went back to my ramen. The part of this experience that really rubbed me the wrong way was that while I was still working on my ramen the waitress came by, slid me the bill and immediately walked away. I hadn't asked for it because I'd planned to order more - which she'd have known if she'd checked on me or at least spoke to me before deciding I was finished?? I had 5/6 gyoza left and she stood right there beside me, rang me and didn't bother to ask if I wanted a box either... Seemed like I was being nudged to leave, so I did.

Great restaurant if you're in the area! Very affordable and the food was delicious. My partner got Shoyu Ramen and I got the Karaage bowl - so good! We sat at the bar and loved the cool ambience and decor. We sat for a while after we finished our food while we were looking over some photos but the server never rushed us to leave which I really appreciated. Couldn't finish my food so I took the rest to go and can't wait to eat my leftovers!
