The Best AYCE Restaurants In LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"The waits at Hae Jang Chon often result in crowds out the door, but once you’re seated at one of the round, group-friendly tables, things move fast. Lunch is $37 and dinner is $44, which gets you a long list of beef options like short rib, brisket, steak, beef belly, beef tongue, and intestine, plus pork belly in varying levels of thickness. The staff handles the grilling, so you can concentrate on wrapping up the meat in rice paper like it’s an art project. The banchan is fine, but the add-ons make things better: kimchi pancakes, soybean stew, and the finale of kimchi fried rice cooked directly on the grill at the end. $37 per person for lunch and $44 per person for dinner" - garrett snyder, brant cox, cathy park, sylvio martins

Google
Went with a large group and they accommodated us very well. Very happy with the quality and variety of the meats available. Service was very attentive and friendly. Would definitely go here again and do recommend making a reservation because it helped cut our wait time. You do have to have your full party present to be seated

Google
Hae Jang Chon has been one of my main go-to spots for AYCE KBBQ in the Koreatown area of Los Angeles for many years now - dating back to my college days! It remains one of my favorite options to this day, and I recently had another great dinner here during a visit! Be aware that there will likely be a wait when you arrive, especially on a weekend night! They call out names that have been added to a list in the restaurant as tables become available, so be sure to stay nearby! Once inside and seated, however, I've always loved the warm and welcoming feel of the dining space. It's a bit of a squeeze between tables, but spacious enough that it never feels uncomfortable. The KBBQ itself here is GREAT - premium cuts of meat that always cook very well. I also love some of the side items, such as the corn cheese and steamed egg bowl, always bubbling hot and super soothing going down. I also appreciate that the service here is efficient while still being attentive - they don't hover, but will come by and help you out with cooking the meats or add some char to the top of items like the corn cheese. For dinner, the AYCE is currently around $43.99. Considering the quality and the enjoyability of the experience, I find it to be a reasonably affordable price. I love regularly visiting Hae Jang Chon, and I highly recommend!

Google
Excellent AYCE KBBQ like $45/person comes with a variety of meats, some marinated, and plentiful delicious side dishes. Outstanding service above all else, hands down. They are not short on staff, and everyone is fantastic. They grill your food for you, so you don’t have to worry about it. Parking is difficult. I think they offer valet. I parked a few blocks away and walked.

Google
Great atmosphere and food. The employees are crazy awesome, they hustle! We were party of 5, and the wait to be seated was about 35 min on a Friday night. Definatly worth it.

Subhasara Charupoonphol

Google
The food is good, but the portions are too large. We can order smaller portions to try a variety of meats and other dishes. A special thanks to ‘JUN’ - he provided excellent service and took great care of us

jack wong

Google
The food here is to die for. Definitely one of the best KBBQ spots in LA. All meats and dishes came out pretty fast, staff were friendly, and they use a stone grill like the OGs, not the steel grills. Everything was crazy good! Absolutely get the Kimchi fried rice at the end after all the meat grilling is done. They cook it on your stone grill and the crispy rice at the bottom is 💯🙌🏻! Although parking was very limited and we had to park a couple of blocks away. Make sure your whole party is there before going in as they require everyone to be present.

Yunlin Ye

Google
Really disappointing experience. The quality of the meat was extremely poor — only the beef tongue was somewhat acceptable. The “prime” steak, bulgogi, and kimchi pancake were straight up inedible. On top of that, we waited 1.5 hours to be seated, while multiple parties who arrived after us were seated ahead of us. Definitely not worth the time or money.

Yelp
Came on a Friday afternoon Valet $3. Love how the tables are big not small, nice restaurant. Top notch quality of meats, staff was very attentive, always coming by and cutting our meats and refilling the side dishes. Restaurant wasn't busy but filling up fast by the time we left. Would come again!

Yelp
We went on a Friday evening around 9pm. No wait time at all. It was a great surprise. Coming it, it was like a club. They were playing 2000s music. I loved it. But if you're looking for a quiet place to talk, this isn't the place. But you'll miss out lol cause the food was great!! The meat was juicy. It was nice that they cook for you. Usually we don't like that because sometimes the servers don't pay attention. But here, the service was on point. Didn't even have to wait for anything. It was too good that we got full too fast lol Can't wait to go again.

Yelp
Delicious and lively AYCE (All you can eat6 Korean BBQ experience! My family from the Bay Area was visiting and we were all lucky enough to make reservations at Hae Jang Chon. The banchan (Korean side dishes) were plentiful with unlimited kimchi, glass noodles, rice paper, and salad. The meats were premium grade, and delicious. Some of the stand out meats were the mouthwatering steak, crispy beef tongue, and fatty beef belly. Service was excellent. The energy in the restaurant was lively with servers constantly sprinting back and forth to tend to the patrons. These servers work hard for their tips, and also were friendly and social with our party. Overall, an amazing Korean BBQ experience in the heart of Koreatown. This restaurant is well worth the drive to Ktown. Luckily, parking is valet but there's also meter parking on the major streets which eliminates a lot of parking stress. I will definitely be returning to Had Jang Chon for my KBBQ fix.

Yelp
A top 5 KBBQ in the US?! Yes there will be a wait! That is soooo worth it. Exceptional service by our server too! Came I. Consistently to check in us, helped cut and cook food. Great quality meat, no burnt metal tray, and great service makes this a must try! 10/10 I def recommend, and will be back again!
google avatar

Yelp
This AYCE KBBQ is so worth it, the cuts and quality of meat were top tier! They also cook everything for you and each person will have their own tongs to get any meat that's ready. We also went for a birthday and when we told our server, they sang and gave us free moonpies! I would definitely suggest going early since there is usually a large crowd of people waiting to eat here.

Yelp
Decided to try Hae Jang Chon again after a few years. We came by later in the evening on a Monday. Still had to wait about 15-20 minutes. Food was very fresh. Side dishes were great and meat quality was good. Staff still definitely pushes you to eat fast and leave. Meat comes out faster than the actual sides haha. I believe Hae Jang Chon is great if you have a large group (and if you go early and beat the wait). Then the staff will be super attentive to turn the table over really fast. Parking is a bit of a pain. Street parking or valet in the lot.

Yelp
Can't do ktown without hitting up a KBBQ spot. When visiting LA with friends whats a better way than to do KBBQ? Group friendly, AYCE, and good food. Hae Jang Chon is different in that they cook for you, so if you're looking for a kbbq spot where you cook, this spot may not be for you. Luckily me and my group were recovering from a hangover so it was nice having someone else cook the meats for us. Plus, we left not smelling like smoke. The meat quality here is amazing. The galbi was so soft and tender, it surprisingly beat the brisket for me (I'm a brisket girlie.) Good quality meats and delicious bonchons. It is quite expensive BUT the quality and service make it worth it IMO.

Yelp
Pro-TIp: Instead or ordering their lunch box to go or via a 3rd party app like Postmates, their AllYou can Eat (AYCE) costs about the same, and you'll probably have a better meal in person. It is true, no one goes hungry, but I believe in order to indulge in the AYCE festivities, you must be a minimum party of two. Ordered their brisket lunch box via Postmates. Wasn't expecting a whole lot, but it ain't half bad. THe brisket was juicy, and the marinade synergizes well with the raddish and its sauce -- especially on a bed of rice. The meat came with a lot of rubbery muscle (?) like substance. No utility here. More meat, less frills please. Sides were kept at a minimum since its a lunch box special. I wish they would have provided more kimchi raddish and the spicy cucumbers. Salad and the Korean potato salad were also noticeably missing. Overall, not bad. 3/5. Would definitely dine-in for their premium meats or all you can eat lunch special

Yelp
One of my favorite tried and true places in KTown!! I had this 5 years ago and then had it again recently and I loved it both times! There is definitely a decent wait time though, and they don't have an online system so you have to be in person to do that. The meat quality is here is amazing, and they have servers coming by every so often to help you cook as well. I also love their side dishes! I would just make sure to come early or late if you want to avoid the long wait times.

Yelp
I was surprisingly impressed by Hae Jang Chon. I have to admit, I have a bias and don't usually do AYCE KBBQ. However, Hae Jang Chon had some of the best quality meats I've ever had at an all you can eat spot! I need to remember, this ain't my old hometown Chicago. This is LA. The Korean food vibe here is on a whole.nother.level. They may have cemented a recommendation spot on my list! Hae Jang Chon has been located in an insanely busy plaza full of good stuff since 2002! So be prepared that you will always have to valet, have a little cash moneys ready. Fresh and tasty meats are the key here, with portions being the perfect size - at least for us. We loved their brisket and pork belly. Now what really surprised me was their marinated kalbi! I dare say their recipe is one of the best I've had around town. That marinade on the meat was *chef's kiss* so good. Every meat was delicious plus with the All You Can Eat that includes corn cheese, gyeran jjim, kimchi fried rice, kimchijeon ~ bunch of fun sides. Plus, they played New Jeans songs almost the entire time we were there and we loved that, lol~! Service was great the entire time we were in and it's not as crazy busy as some other spots around town. Lesson to myself to not judge AYCE spots with one fell swoop. Hae Jang Chon is bomb and I'll def be back!

Yelp
HAE JANG CHON . . Located in Koreatown in LA, @haejangchon is an AYCE Korean BBQ spot that serves a variety of meats, including different beef cuts, pork, chicken and seafood, and sides. . . AYCE Lunch $37.99 USD per person 5/5 . . We had such a great experience here. The servers are all really friendly and constantly checked up on us to see if we needed and refills on our sides. They also cook the meats for you so you can focus on eating. The portions of every serving of meat is definitely a lot bigger compared to a typical korean bbq spot in Canada. Our bellies were so full and happy.

Yelp
Delicious, authentic, and attentive staff! Seriously good meat qualities for an AYCE KBBQ spot. I truly enjoyed the brisket and the unmarinated steak which unlike other places was actually tender. The banchans were also extremely delicious and made the meat taste that much better. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This is my second time coming here. The first time was coming here with a small party and the wait was 3 hours which is not worth it even though it did hit the spot. This time I came with a larger group and made a reservation and the wait was much more manageable. It is as I remember it. The meat quality is better than other AYCE places I've been to. And service is quick and fast when we put an order for different meats. The banchan or the side items are also decent. The kimchi pancake did change from the last time I had it though because they are small individual size one now instead of a bigger one where they cut it up for you. Recommend this spot if you're looking for an all you can eat spot

Yelp
This place is super busy and there is a reason why! It buzzes with energy and youth and exciting, deliicous Korean BBQ! The meats are of an excellent quality and the variety of little dishes excellent. The Korean pancake is a must! Go early to avoid the loooong line. Then thank me later ;)

Yelp
It's been 9 years since I left a review for this place. Things are pricier (what isn't these days) and the wait is still just as long. Maybe even longer, maybe not, but it sure as hell felt like it. The meat quality is still consistently great and the service too. Hae Jang Chon is a rare KBBQ treat for when my wife and I feel like splurging a little and making an adventure out of it. The banchan is standard, but excellent. It's nice not having to cook, though I kind of prefer it. In addition to the main focus of the meal, the soybean soup was good. My wife enjoyed it more than me. I always look forward to the fried rice at the end, but unfortunately it was a little burnt this time around, so I only picked at the parts that were edible. Overall, HJC is a spot I'd definitely recommend despite the atrocious wait times and awful parking situation.

Linda L.

Yelp
Great customer service. They are fast and tentative. I like that they refilled the banchan without having to asked. Nice varieties of good banchan. The kimchi is a little too fermented for my liking. Snow peas leave are quite expensive and I am surprised they offered it. The meats are pretty standard. The first round of beef tongues is pretty good but second was just okay. Different cut. Pork shoulder is not dry and galbi is pretty scrumptious. They offer to takeaway the bone of the galbi if you don't want it which is a plus in my review. I like that they used radish to clean the grill infront of you, less chemical to the eyes.

Yelp
It's always nice to discover a FIRE AYCE KBBQ spot, and @haejangchon is definitely 100% worth the hype and wait! They specialize in only USDA choice and prime meats, which are grilled by their waiters on traditional Korean black stone grills for a fragrant yet less smoky flavor. Their menu is a bit smaller (but much more high quality) in comparison to other AYCE spots, consisting of 27 beef, pork and seafood items as well as side dishes for $37.99 at lunch and $43.99 at dinner/on weekends. Definitely check them out for high quality AYCE KBBQ if you're in the Koreatown area! Featured here: USDA Prime beef brisket USDA Choice beef rib finger USDA Choice beef short rib with bone spicy thin sliced Canadian pork belly

Yelp
I always come here when I want me my AYCEKBBQ! The place is always packed which is a good thing and you can't go wrong with any of the meat choices. I personally always do the brisket, marinated bone on short rib and the bulgogi. The sides are always a plus as well! Steam egg never meats me down. The staff is amazing at what they do and all are so quick to help. Go already. You won't regret it!

Yelp
Nestled in Koreatown, Hae Jang Chon stands out as a Korean BBQ gem with a distinctive twist. This spot is notable for being one of the last places to use traditional stone grills, offering a unique and authentic BBQ experience that's hard to find elsewhere. Upon arrival, you're greeted with a classic Korean BBQ setup where you select from a wide variety of meats, sides, and vegetables. Whether you're in the mood for cow belly, pork belly, baby octopus, steamed egg, or an assortment of fresh veggies, the selection is both diverse and top-notch. The concept here is simple: order as much as you can eat, but be mindful not to overdo it, as you'll be charged extra for any leftovers. The stone grill adds an old-school touch, and watching the staff cook your meat right in front of you is both fascinating and convenient. They handle the grilling, allowing you to focus on enjoying the fresh, delicious food. The staff are incredibly friendly, taking the time to explain the process and ensure you're well taken care of. Hae Jang Chon's ambiance is cool and charming, making it a pleasant place to enjoy a hearty meal. The food is fresh, flavorful, and perfect for a satisfying BBQ experience. If you're looking for a Korean BBQ spot with a touch of tradition and excellent service, Hae Jang Chon is definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
We went for AYCE lunch on a Monday around 1pm and there was no wait. Banchan were basic but tasty The kimchi was quite sour though Among the meats ordered, the best was Beef Tongue. Super thin, well marbled and not chewy. It was even better than the kalbi. Bean paste stew, kimchi fried rice and steamed egg were solid. Service was fast and friendly. They cook for you and multiple waiters assist you interchangeably. Valet only (typical ktown)

Yelp
I didn't think I could love this place anymore than I already do BUT...first time stopping in for lunch (rather than dinner) today and the experience was even better than I expected. It's not nearly as crowded and our server attended to our bbqing needs right on queue everytime. Brisket used to be our favorite but it turns out the Prime Steak is so so good!! Very tender and delicious with the light sear on the stone grill. It literally melts in your mouth!

Yelp
This is probably my favorite AYCE kbbq spot. We arrive at 6:40pm on a Friday night. Our group wasn't next on the list until about 8pm. Since we had a bigger group, a group of 10, we opted to wait a bit longer to be seated together, which took another 40 minutes. We were finally seated more than 2 hours after we put the name on the waiting list. There are no tiers for AYCE here; it's just a $44 flat fee for everyone for dinner. For the meats we ordered the brisket, marinated beef short rib with bone, prime steak, beef tongue, and beef hot dogs. For the sides we got the corn cheese, steamed egg, mushroom, kimchi pancake, and kimchi fried rice. We also got some radish wrap and rice wrap to eat with the meats. Out of the meats we ordered I liked the short rib and the steak the most. They were cooked until they were tender and you can definitely taste more of the flavor of the meat rather than the smokey flavor you sometimes get from the brisket or bulgogi. The sides were good as well, although the only one I would probably pass on next time would be the kimchi pancake. It wasn't bad, but it was more like a fluffy pancake rather than a crispy kimchi pancake, which is what I would prefer. We also got the kimchi fried rice at the end, where they would fry the rice right on the grill, and then flame the cheese on top. Service was not the friendliest, but was still great and our servers were on top of everything. Our waters were constantly getting refilled, along with the sides. Our server would come around from time to time to cook our meats for us so we didn't have to worry about cooking ourselves. The only thing is that after they cleaned our grill the first time it didn't seem like they completely cleaned it thoroughly since the brisket that was cooked afterwards had more of a burnt taste to it. I can see why it's always so packed out front. I've heard about Hae Jang Chon so much from my LA native friends and I'm glad to have finally tried it out. It's definitely my favorite AYCE kbbq spot, it just sucks that the wait and looking for parking sucks.

Yelp
when several friends recommended this place, I didn't realize that it is currently THE ayce kbbq place in LA. we waited for about an hour and 15 mins at 7:30 pm on a friday, so not the worst thing but making a reservation will be a must in the future. the meat was really good quality though and I liked that there was only one set menu option. my favorites were the bone in unmarinated short rib, brisket, and thick pork belly. because the quality is high, I don't think the marinated meats were super worth it. the side dishes were also more mediocre, which is why I give it 4 stars. note: you do not cook your own meats here tho. we were unaware and were pleasantly surprised when they shooed our hands away. the service was great tho and they check on you fairly regularly. the only hard part about that is my friend likes her meat more charred and burned, so she would have to cook hers on the side.

Yelp
One of the employees was super rude. One of the tongs was kept at the wrong place I supposed on the table but we didn't know we weren't supposed to leave it there. The guy came to our table and yelled at us, shouting multiple times "don't leave the tong like that it's dangerous" like multiple times. Ok we got it, Sorry we did not know. We are not here to learn the job of kbbq, we are here to eat. Stop yelling at your customers and expect they know about your business. I asked the guy named JAMES for a manager, he asked "why?" Then proceeded to ignore us for the rest of the shift without getting a manager involved. Maybe he doesn't know how service and hospitality work, and I hope someone will teach him. Havent been back for awhile and they hired some really disrespectful staffs. Food was no longer as good as it used to be. What a huge disappointment. The server was nice at least.

Yelp
Must try korean bbq spots in LA. The food is always served fresh and delicious. I recommend getting the all you can eat menu and order as much as you please. It's a very cozy atmosphere and perfect place to enjoy some quality Kbbq.

Yelp
Let me start this review by saying that I LOVE FOOD. BUT.... 2+ hrs. of wait time to try AYCE Korean bbq is definitely not worth it. It was very frustrating. The inaccurate wait time estimates significantly extended our wait, which could have been avoided with better communication. This review factors in the wait time, along with the quality of the food and the service. Hae Jang Chon definitely lives up to the hype when it comes to the food itself. They offer an all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ experience for both lunch and dinner, with a wide variety of meats to choose from - beef, pork, chicken, and even some seafood options. The side dishes were plentiful too, going beyond the standard banchan with items like corn cheese, kimchi pancake, and steamed egg. Everything we tried, from the meat options (including the beef brisket, short ribs, bulgogi, and pork belly) to the kimchi pancake and corn cheese, was delicious. They even have four different sauces to complement the flavors. The staff was fantastic - super attentive and efficient. They cooked the meat for us right at our table, kept our waters refilled, and made sure everything ran smoothly. Here's the thing, though - the wait was BRUTAL. We got there at 8 pm on a Friday night (party of three), and didn't get seated until close to 10:30 pm. In this day and age, it felt archaic that they didn't take reservations or even phone numbers for the waitlist. You just had to be there physically. To make it worse, they kept giving us inaccurate wait time estimates that kept getting pushed back further. It was frustrating, especially considering the place was packed all night with long lines. So, the food? It's definitely a 4-star experience. The wait? Not so much. Would I go back? Maybe, but only if I knew I could get seated quickly or they implemented a more user-friendly waitlist system.

Yelp
One of the best kbbq in town, they have the best beef brisket and the mouth watery bulgogi I ever had! The food quality is great and it's ayce. The services were fast and nice, they also offer great sides from their sauces to kimchi and other radish. The only downside of this restaurant it's their parking, I went during the lunch times, parking was not too bad, only 3 dollars. Since it's valet, it may vary during dinner times, be aware! But don't miss this great kbbq in ktown!

Yelp
What can I say. I love Korean BBQ here in California and also in Korea. This place is off the hook. Went to L.A for the long weekend and there is no way to past out the Korean BBQ in Korean town. The food , price and the service is out off this world. Shut out my my BOZ who is the host for that night when I visited. If you have a chance to be in Korean town in L.A and have craving for some good Korean BBQ, this is the place to be. Here is my scoring card for this restaurant: 1) Location: ( 5 Point ) - Great location for customer to see and find. Great parking for street parking and back side with parking lot parking. ( they do valet parking) 2) Decoration : (2 Point) - They still have the original decoration. Clean. 3) Price: ( 4 point)- The price is competitive but still a little bit pricey compare to other same stars and type food they serve 4) Quality and Taste : ( 5 point)- The quality is good, food taste is great and portions are above average . 5) Type of cuisine standard : ( 4 point) - The style of Korean food they serve is pretty close to the way it was prepare in Korea. Not bad! But some dishes did have slightly modify to cater the customer's need Overall it's not bad and I thinks it's great to give it a try and let me know what you think. Go foodies Total max is 25 Score 20 Stars = 80% round up to 4 stars

Yelp
We took a party of 8 here on a Saturday night with 2 kids. We waited about 25 minutes for a table. We received amazing and friendly service despite how busy it was. Our favorite part was the personal kimchi pancakes. They were delicious! The restaurant is rather small- they maximize the size for sure. My only thought is that it wouldn't be super great for a wheelchair trying to navigate the restaurant. Otherwise- great selection of meats & fantastic service.

Yelp
The OG AYCE KBBQ in Ktown The first Kbbq l've tried in LA and we still love visit this spot after all these years because of how consistently good the meats here. Also love that the servers cooks and cuts the meat for us. I highly recommend getting their Streak, Beef Brisket, and Marinated Galbi. The quality were really amazing and the steak was so juicy! They also have other dishes such as corn cheese, and I love their Kimchi Rice. Also service here was excellent

Yelp
Visited this place for the first time with a friend. We wanted some good KBBQ and with all the places in K Town to try it was a tough decision but we were very pleased with our visit here. Because it is Koreatown, parking can be a challenge but they do have valet parking for $3 which was not bad at all. Thankfully we were able to find street parking just down the street, a short walk away so we didn't have to pay for parking but we wouldn't have minded paying the $3 to do valet if we needed to. My friend and I arrived around 1:30pm and we were seated promptly as the place was not crowded busy on a Thursday afternoon. Service was excellent, they even helped with cooking our meats also. We appreciated the open windows because it reduced the usual smokey air from the grills. This place also uses stone grills so smoke is not as much as the other KBBQ places where they have to switch out the grills because of all the burnt meat and fats on there. The quality of the meats were very good and the service was very quick. They had all the banchan sides ready and refilled whichever ones you wanted. This place is a little pricier with lunch on the weekdays at $37.99 per person all you can eat but I'd say it was worth it and I'd love to come back again soon.

Yelp
I went here for a late lunch and missed the lunch hour prices BUT it was definitely worth it! We had a party of three and there was a short wait for them to get our table ready but after that we had very little to wait for everything. They took our orders right away and checked in, often asking if we needed more meat.  They provided an excellent hospitality experience. I felt so comfortable that it was like I was eating at someone's home. They even cooked our meat on the grill for us! We tried a different assortment of meat but my favorite was the brisket with steamed rice, radish paper and corn cheese. I can't remember the sauces but they were pretty good! Parking in the parking lot costs $5 (cash) which we paid for convenience. But you might get lucky with parallel parking on the neighboring streets

Yelp
Arrived late night around 1220am since we saw that they close at 2am. When we got there we were advised that the kitchen closes at 1am despite the actual restaurant closing at 2am so we would only have about 30 minutes until last call. We decided to stay because we had already driven far to get to this place since it was opened later (oh well). Once we checked in, we were seated right away. They provided the sides, and we waited until someone can take our order. It wasn't busy so we didn't have to wait too long. It's a small venue and their aren't any vents above the tables so it can get pretty warm inside. It appeared that the have large fans/ac units, but at that time it seemed like only one unit near the kitchen was being used and not the other one near the entrance which made it a bit warm to be inside considering the weather was already hot outside. They cook the meat on a stone grill in front of you, which seemed pretty cool. However typically since we like the meats cooked differently, it didn't work out in our best interest. After some of the meat options like the premium steak was cooked medium rare, the server/cook moved the meat to the side of the stone and said it was ready. I like the meat a little more medium well, but the meat was pushed aside to stay warm, no longer to cook. And the server/cook began to prepare the other raw meat on the stone. Not sure if they typically do that or if they were just rushing to get us out on time. Either way we did feel pretty rushed. As it got closer to last call, we decided to stop ordering meat so we can get the kimchi fried rice (cannot be ordered until the meat is done). This just seemed unfortunate for the amount we paid for ($44pp). We basically ate until 1am and at 1am exactly some staff were already seen clocking out, inviting our server/cook. Service after that was very minimal. However I will add that the servers were still very nice. The meat was good, the marinade was good. The sides were good. I liked how they offered different sauces and the option of rice wraps and radish wraps. It was nice trying the place but I wouldn't recommend going at night as we did. Maybe we could have had a different experience altogether.

Yelp
Hae Jang Chon is easily one of my favorite KBBQ spots ever. They have great service and the quality of their meats is up there. It can get pretty packed but if you come around 5 pm, you can get seated pretty quickly. If I want KBBQ, I want Hae Jang Chon.

Yelp
This place doesn't welcome solo diners. They charge double the price for patrons dining by themselves.

Yelp
Parking is limited, ambiance indoor/outdoor casual with style and elegance, Treat yourself in center of all marble stone round earthy-tables!!! As they grill and chop up the all necessary food Great price , quality, and authentic! Super friendly service!

Yelp
While the food was standard, the waiters annoyingly came by every two minutes and "checked on you" by asking if you need anything else in a rude tone. Once we finished eating (a large meal of several people that included drinks - in other words, a table that was not stingy and would make the restaurant lots of money) a waiter immediately came by and pressed us over whether we were done and ready for the check or if we needed more time. This felt like people rushing me and completely ruined the experience of a relaxing dinner. Please learn to treat your customers properly!! When people pay a lot, they deserve proper service.

Yelp
I been to this place several times and I can say the quality of the meat is very good worth the wait. It's all you can eat so your money is worth it. Recently I didn't have a good experience with the waiter, I asked for fried rice and she refused to bring it out until I finished with all my meats. I was very confused why they said that. I like eating Korean BBQ food with fried rice. Please don't refuse to bring fried rice because white rice wasn't a problem to serve. That's the only reason they are getting this rating otherwise I would have provided a 5 star rating.

Yelp
Had a great time with my friends. One menu which goes for $37.99 for lunch on weekdays & $43.99 for dinner which is 2pm onwards and for weekends/holidays. They offer a variety selection of meat (the quality and cut of the meat was great) and other items such as steamed egg, soybean soup, pancake, etc. I especially enjoyed the kimchi fried rice at the end. Another plus about this spot is that they do the cooking for you. The service is fairly quick despite it being very busy and the servers were all attentive. Went on a Saturday night so the wait did take a while about 45 min but it was worth it. Not a super big place but decently spaced seating with fast paced music. Parking is a bit tricky to find you can try finding street parking but I recommend doing the valet which is $5.

Yelp
We've tried plenty of KBBQ spots around here and this one takes the cake! The service here was great, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Plenty of sides, sauces, and spices to go along with the meat. I will say it's more on the pricy side but it's worth it if you ask me.

Yelp
Amaaazing AYCE KBBQ. Their menu has so many high quality meat, seafood, and veggie options. These were my favorites: *Marinated beef rib fingers *Marinated beef short rib with bone *Brisket Also loved grilling the kimchi to add a smokey dimension. Be sure to leave room at the end - your server will cook kimchi fried rice right on your stone grill. It's a hearty finisher! The restaurant felt clean, spacious, and well ventilated. Servers frequently swing by to help cook meat, so you can sit back, relax, and stuff your face with delicious food :) If you struggle to find street parking like I did, consider $5 valet parking in the plaza.

Yelp
Whenever I go to LA, I need to stop by Hae Jang Chon for KBBQ. It's seriously the best spot and the meat is high quality. They have complimentary Valet but their spots fill up pretty quickly because all of the stores in the plaza share the same Valet. Food is yummy and they cook it for you. The portions are perfect and it allows you to try different meats. Such a solid AYCE restaurant!! My advice to those who want to try this is to come when they first open because there's barely anyone waiting and you get seated immediately. If you're trying to go during peak times, expect to wait 1-2 hours. Oh yea, expect to come out smelly like smoke.

Yelp
This is my most absolute favorite kbbq. The ambiance is cozy, the service is top tier and the food is incredible. Catherine is my favorite followed by Yermin and of course I can't forget Kay and Nolene. Such lovely woman. And let me not forget the Valet guys, super nice and professional.

Yelp
Best AYCE kbbq that I've had in the area. Meat was delicious to say the least. Service is great as well, as the servers are constantly walking around gathering orders.

Yelp
Wait was reasonable (around 15/20 min. On a holiday too). I feel like waitlist was pretty outdated tho. You had to put your name on a piece of paper and stick around for them to shout your name. I haven't seen that since 2013 lol. Thankfully, valet parked us right in front of the restaurant so we heard when we were called. Valet was $4-$7 I believe. Small lot that shares with other businesses so I say it's worth it. You could get street parking if you're lucky. Service from the front door throughout our whole experience there was immaculate. Servers came by at a reasonable time and pace. Every server there helped us and every other table out, not just designated to a specific section. They made our dining experience 100/10. Also, I know at most KBBQ places you cook your own meat, but here it's a lil bit of both - they'll go to your grill and cut/cook your meats for you! Everything came out quickly and the portions were perfectly sized. The quality and cuts of the meat were amazing. The ambiance was very nice and the restaurant was well lit and modernly decorated. Sauces, banchan, and salad were delicious. Not that big of a restaurant, but they utilized the space very well and it wasn't cramped. Very clean dining area and restroom as well. Definitely Top 3 best KBBQ places I've been to!

Yelp
Impeccable! You will leave this place with a newly conceived food baby after consuming much more than your money's worth at their AYCE KBBQ. My partner and I came here on a weekend afternoon and was able score a table for 2 within 10-15 minutes. The AYCE pricing was the full dinner pricing since it was the weekend but we definitely ate beyond that amount. For the AYCE there is a plentiful list of marinated and u marinated meats, seafood, and additions, as well as a healthy collection of Korean side dishes that are available immediately (banchan). We really enjoyed the marinated beef brisket, short ribs, rib fingers, bulgolgi, and the squid from the meats menu. Additionally the steamed egg and corn cheese were great additions that complimented the meats quite well. The servers in the restaurant will be doing most of the cooking for each meat plate for you, they are hella observant so that when I inevitably messed up cooking one of the short ribs they swooped in and saved it before it was destined for the trash! In the end of your meal, if you can stomach more deliciousness, they will also cook a kimchi fried rice with some of the leftover flavors left on your grill and it was truly decadent. We entered famished, left satisfied for weeks, and immediately napped for 3 hours to digest all that incredible food. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Im extremely disappointed with my recent experience at this restaurant. I've been a regular customer and have always enjoyed the food and service. However, on my birthday, I encountered a rude female host with short hair. After our meal, I realized I had left a gift behind. When I returned to retrieve it, I was told that it had been thrown away. I asked to check the trash( literally jumped in the Huge trash BIN ) , but unfortunately, it was nowhere to be found. I'm deeply saddened and frustrated that a worker may have stolen my gift. Despite the great food and excellent service from our server, the careless handling of my gift and the potential theft have left a sour taste. I hope the management will take necessary steps to address this issue and ensure that customers' belongings are handled with care. This held sentimental value and my night was ruined after this experience all my friends were wondering how a gift can go missing in less than 5 minutes.

Yelp
We arrive at 5:30 on a Saturday and were seated within 30 mins. When we left the waiting area outside was crowded and the wait was a lot longer. So perfect timing for dinner. Staff is super friendly and Steven was amazing all night. He cooked our meats for us and kept checking in to see if wanted to order more as soon as he brought out food. Meat quality is amazing. Sides are good. Steamed egg was good. Really enjoyed our meal and can't wait to come back. Worth the price. Parking is valet only. Currently $5. Street parking is either metered or free on the sides but good luck finding parking in KTown. I suggest doing the valet.
