The 29 Best Restaurants in Busan, South Korea | Eater

"Haeundae Amsogalbijip is one of the most popular barbecue restaurants among Busan’s carnivores. Diners pile in to grill hanwoo beef — either plain or marinated in the restaurant’s special soy-based sauce — on in-table round grill plates. But the restaurant has become perhaps even more popular for the potato noodles served at the end of each meal. After customers are done grilling, staff come around to pour beef broth into the moat around the edge of the pan and cook the noodles in all that leftover meaty goodness. The restaurant also has an offshoot in New York, Yoon Haeundae Galbi. Note: Haeundae Amsogalbijip is currently under renovation and scheduled to reopen at the end of June." - Summer Sun-Min Lee

Yoon Brings Korean Barbecue to Midtown From Historic Family - Eater NY

"Bobby Yoon, who grew up in his grandfather’s Busan restaurant Haeundae Sommunan Amso Galbijip, which has been open in Korea since 1964, is using his grandfather’s recipes to bring a very traditional take on Korean food to Yoon Haeundae Galbi in New York City." - Stefanie Tuder

The meat here was super tender and clean-tasting, my parents were really happy with it. The soybean stew was especially memorable with its rich, deep flavor. This place is always packed, so you do have to register and wait in advance, which can be a bit of a hassle. But honestly, it’s totally worth it. Whenever I’m in Busan for vacation, this spot is a must-visit!

Taste the beef and it melts in your mouth. No marinate is popular and it's gone. Tried marinated and it tasted very good. Each get own side dishes and that was good. You don't have to reserve if you come 4:30pm and put your phone number on the waiting list. Reservation dinner starts at 6pm. My waiting number was 100 at 5pm but I got in 5:15pm.

I arrived at the restaurant at 6:30 PM, and there were 30 groups waiting. The weather was very cold, but luckily the restaurant provided blankets, heaters, and hot water for everyone waiting. It took me an hour to get a table. There was no fresh beef because it had to be pre-ordered. However, the marinated meat was quite good. The service was very okay.

Worth the 1.5 hour wait. Both the marinated ribs and bulgogi were very tender and its sweetness went very well with the light sauce. Highly recommended.

Even on a Monday night there was a line but it wasn’t bad at all. Definitely would avoid weekends if this is how the place is on a Monday. Food was solid. The noodles are a must have in the meal. The banchan with it was ok.

I registered at the kiosk and waited for 3 hours. But I was compensated for the long wait. The Yangnyeom-galbi that one aunt cooked was really delicious 😋. I hope to come again .

Ten ribs, three people, and a two-hour queue made for one delicious meal. We narrowly missed lunch, arriving at 12:07pm just as the line was finishing. Determined to try once and for all, we returned at 3pmPM and were fortunate to be the first in line. By 5pm, the line had wrapped around the building. Regrettably, despite being the first seated for dinner, the raw ribs were still sold out. I recommend going all out and ordering as many marinated ribs as your heart desires—they taste amazing when cooked on that charcoal grill. The soybean paste stew had pieces of ribs in it and was bursting with flavor. We also ordered bulgogi and potato noodles, which soaked up the bulgogi marinade nicely. The salad and other banchan really elevated the meal. Overall, this was our favorite meal in Busan.
