Haeundae Amsogalbi-jip

Very popular beef BBQ restaurant and it is listed on Michelin. Pricey but worth it. Meat was excellent - both the marinated and non-marinated versions. Service was good and ambience was modern and clean.

Unfortunately, this restaurant missed our expectations by their food and service. Our waitress might have been having a bad day. I’m Korean and when she came to get our order, she didn’t greet us and just stood there. So I thought I’d greet her and begin our order. On my first choice, she said it’s sold out and walked away to the next table. When she got back, I ordered. As she began cooking, I asked if we could have our rice early to eat with the meat. She acknowledged, but didn’t bring the rice. She made several more visits to flip our meat and cook it, but wouldn’t bring the rice. After my fourth time asking, the rice arrived, but all the meat was dried out on the grill. She then brought the noodles, but we were done eating, and I shared that there’s nothing left to eat it with. She ignored me and said it will take some time for the noodles to cook. So we waited politely. I saw other people stirring noodles, but she wouldn’t. I then opened the drawer to get napkins and she walked over and closed it on my hand. I shared that it was a busy night and she must be working hard, but no response. Then the noodles were melting and burning. She comes over and said it’s ready to eat. I shared their burnt, so she looked at my wife and told her to put some on her plate and eat it. I asked for the check and asked what she was so upset and if we did anything to upset her. Again, no response. The worst part is, I walked up to the manager and explained what happened. He said it sounded like a misunderstanding! I shared I will gladly pay for the check, but I am done. This is a busy place, but the galbi was cut very thin, had low beef flavor, the banchan (sides) were cheap and simple, and the order of food arrival was not well. The soup didn’t even come till we were about done with the meat and arrived with the rice. The long standing small “mom and pop” restaurants will provide much better food and service. I understand for bad service, but at least have good food to back it up. The soup was the star of the meal. Thank you for an educational experience. They do have an amazing cafe next door with amazing staff and the salt cod roe bread was the best thing you will have while you wait for your table to be ready.

The food is quite expensive, but the quality of the meat is excellent, and the service is great. I was really lucky — there was no line when I arrived, so I got a table right away. But when I finished eating and walked out, there were almost 20 people waiting in line!

yes long wait. they had hot tea, blankets and space heaters. staff were efficient not rushed and courteous. we were able to get the last of the unmarinated meat. the banchan were good but no great. both beef marinated and unmarinated was great - also the potato noodle. if possible get a room with a view.

Ribs and Bulgogi are awesome. The potatoe noodles are a great way to wrap up. Wait time can be very long, and for non-Koreans it might be better to get a number directly from the desk instead of using an app.

The meat here was super tender and clean-tasting, my parents were really happy with it. The soybean stew was especially memorable with its rich, deep flavor. This place is always packed, so you do have to register and wait in advance, which can be a bit of a hassle. But honestly, it’s totally worth it. Whenever I’m in Busan for vacation, this spot is a must-visit!

Taste the beef and it melts in your mouth. No marinate is popular and it's gone. Tried marinated and it tasted very good. Each get own side dishes and that was good. You don't have to reserve if you come 4:30pm and put your phone number on the waiting list. Reservation dinner starts at 6pm. My waiting number was 100 at 5pm but I got in 5:15pm.

NOT worth waiting...The food was good but the servers were too rushing, extremely rude toward foreigners...Treating customers as a cow heard. 9o% of customers are tourists....yeap..a typical tourist trap, approved by Michelin Guide.
