Seattle’s New Restaurant Openings

"West Seattle has a cute little coffee shop inside the former Pearl's space along Delridge. Hagosa’s House serves caffeinated drinks with beans sourced from Boon Boona Coffee, and is open 7am to 7pm—making it a contender for coffee shops good for getting work done." - kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo, gabe guarente

Great atmosphere and interior. Coffee is OK though: we had a latte on soy milk and an americano, 3.8 out of 5 for my liking. I definitely won’t drive here for coffee. But the atmosphere is great and I’d probably come back to try matcha or pour over coffee.

This place is super cute. I am so glad to see how it has transformed since pearls. Great music, great drinks, great selection of foods from Macrina + Harried and Hungry. Service was lovely, helpful, welcoming, and authentic. Several patrons sat for a while and got some work done. The atmosphere is so comfortable, earthy, modern, clean. My intention was to stop in and take it home, but I sat on one of the swivel chairs at the front window and didn't want to get up. The sweet barista brought me my drink without shouting out behind the bar. That was such a professional and high service touch. Such a warm, inviting reprieve from the cold and rain outside. I look forward to my next visit.

I was feeling a bit drained and was just looking for nearest liquid caffeine provider. Well...thanks to Hagosa's House, I made it pass the rest of the day. Drama aside: 1) I ordered a biscotti. Chocolate and Almond, tasty and good fuel for my trip. 2) I ordered cappuccino. I didn't expect anything from a cup of cappuccino...took a sip... This might sound a bit duplicate from one of my previous review (because both are just as good): the last time I tasted cappuccino the way I wish...was back in 2009 on a coffee shop on George Street, Dunedin, New Zealand - a cafe that was popular with businessperson for coffee quality and now the shop doesn't seem to exist anymore. Back then, a good cup of cappuccino is dependent on time and weather: morning at peak hours or during summer time, the espresso machine might already get hot and burn the coffee, and good espresso need the right amount of heat. Yup, kinda of Feng Shui-ish... In any case, having taste of what I just had in Hagosa (and in the other location) - that would have been if I am blessed for jackpot. Don't forget: this is cappuccino, and I like mine with sugar, and yet - I tasted the delightful flavor of the...coffee (yup, not putting "beans" too close!)

Wow!! Hagoesa’s House is the perfect coffee shop. With an elegant mix of top-quality menu items and a cozy atmosphere this place takes the cake. Having frequented the establishment throughout it's first year we have been impressed time and again with the staff, quality of coffee, and warm atmosphere. This is the perfect place to meet a new friend, cozy up with a book, or bust out the laptop and get some work done. I have had the pleasure of getting to know Feaven who shows an immense pride of ownership. She with the help of her family is constantly upgrading and improving the place! We can't wait for the night shift to open and enjoy a glass of wine in this quaint escape! Ask what Hagosa House translates to and you will see into the spirit of why this small business thrives. Thank you for consistently adding some joy to our mornings Hagosa team!

This cafe is a hidden gem! It’s got this lovely, quiet atmosphere with interesting architectural details and tons of natural light. Obsessed with the beautiful stained glass door. The matcha was absolutely delicious - it’s unsweetened by default, which is perfect for those who don’t need any added sweetness. And the barista was super friendly and welcoming. I can’t wait to go back!

Google
Such a lovely coffee shop with great music (that isn’t too loud), bright natural light, and plenty of seating. The barista was very kind and helpful, and my lavender vanilla latte was so good. My boyfriend’s brown sugar and cinnamon latte was great too! Also very big win: alternative milk options are free for all of us sensitive stomach people. :)

The vibe is simple, laid back, and just enough. I see this as the new neighborhood spot for Del Ridge. Appreciate that they are open everyday 7a-7p. Perfect spot to work, read, reconnect. Features local brands/products and also local artists/makers. Love that they encourage you to personalize your drinks. Owner Feavan is passionate about creating a community and something special.

Yelp
This super cute and aesthetic family, black and woman-owned business just opened up and I got a chance to go and try it out. As a Pearls regular many many years ago (where this business in now located), I appreciated walking in and seeing remants of the former business but loved what they have done with the space. Brightened it up, neutral tones, lots of seating - a perfect spot to get work done, meet up with a friend or go on a quick date like what I did! Going two days after opening, the owner did say she had some things she was still perfecting when it came to her flow and the beverages but I appreciated the honesty and didn't think much of it. She was super friendly and personable which definitely made the experience even better! My boyfriend got a doppio espresso and I got an 8oz vanilla latte. Both delicious! Glad to have this business in our community. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Great service! Good coffee and good breakfast food selection. The interior is nice, quiet and well designed. Love this new find!
