Nice. Convenient. Located inside the market. Only thing, they always run out of the peach green/black tea. This location seems the most consistent. Other boba joints I've been too either were just plain not paying attention.

Service was great. Helpful & fast. They also have new item steam bun. I got free upgrade for drinks to larger size. That’s another points.

The shop is located inside 99 Ranch market. Staff is very friendly! Quick service! Good drinks. The drinks are not as sweet compared to other shops! So yay! Would be back!

This was my first time trying this place. Heard about it a lot, and seems to have tons of hype. It was definitely great. I’ve had better boba but not often so this place is definitely something to try. When you add a topping you get a free upgrade so hallelujah!

Half and Half Boba is a decent but not great milk tea boba shop. They're located within 99 Ranch Market. Staff are competent and friendly. Prices are affordable and inexpensive. Overall, it's a decent boba shop but there are other better boba shops on Main street.

Hands down for the best boba! The pearls are perfectly soft, chewy and slightly warm.

Me and my bf currently relishing in this rose green and sesame black milk tea. 70% sweet is perfect for me and the boba is so sweet 😍. This is my favorite location for Half & Half. The drinks & snacks hit in all the right places and the customer service is on par. I frequent this location by always placing a phone order prior, because it can get busy during some hours. Each person who has taken my order is great at taking my name, number and repeating my order. My family & I go-to order is Iced Milk Drink w/ Grass Jelly & brown sugar flavoring (reg. size). Each drink is about $6-$7 dollars. It's a decent amount and they pack the toppings, so if you prefer more liquids, just request them to go easy. Sometimes, I do also order the Grass Herb tea. It's like herbal tea but less sweet compared to store bought or other places. If ya feelin like a snack, go with the popcorn chicken. It comes with some of those fried crackers and mayo sauce for dipping. It ain't close to Boba Ave 8090 or Bon Appetea's popcorn chicken, but its decent. Their takoyaki is great also, but only 5 pcs/order.

Forever my childhood favorite boba spot in the 626! This location is inside of the 99 Ranch, which is convenient when you're grocery shopping. The menu has a huge variety - something for everyone, but my personal favorite part is the QUALITY of their toppings! They are the trendsetters that started the honey boba trend. Always comes out warm and sweet! The grass jelly and egg pudding are made in-house too! SOOOO GOOD. My favorite drinks are the Rose Yogurt, ANY of the Iced Fresh Milk options, Osmanthus Green Milk Tea, and the Brown Sugar Milk Tea.

Best boba milk tea I've ever had. I've been to hundreds of boba places and this one is truly special. I can't speak to what magic they do back there behind the counter, but I do know that it doesn't taste like the powdered stuff. I got the honey/taro pudding boba with a quarter sugar and it's perfect. Not too sweet at all, a little thick like a slushy, but just full of nice flavors. You can taste the honey. The taro is in pudding form so it adds a neat texture to your drink, along with the freshly made boba. Just a great drink. Oh, and if you buy a regular sized version, you can upgrade to a large - for free! Yay+

This Half and Half express location is located in the 99 Ranch supermarket in Alhambra. I have been here many times through the supermarket but I think this is one of the first times that I've ordered from this location. If you're facing the market from the outside, they're located to the door on the left and you would make a left immediately and it would be right there. I had to come here with my sister hoping that the line wouldn't be too bad but they were actually pretty slammed. There were some guests that were frustrated as they looked kind of upset with the wait for drinks to be made but all in all it wasn't too bad. The workers handled it well explaining how they are extremely slammed and they were backed up today. Their best known for their ice milk drinks. And the cool things is that they have top 10 list of their popular items and there's also an employee list too that I think other locations don't do. That's always a good go to in case you're looking for some inspiration about mixing up a different drinks that they have there at the store. The good thing about this location being located in 99 Ranch, since we knew the way it was going to be kind of long. We were able to wander the market itself to look for snacks and other drinks. It helped pass the time by and our drinks were made fairly quickly afterwards.

4 stars I've been coming here on-and-off for a couple of years. Before today, the last time I stopped coming here was because of how watered down the drink I got was... But today, I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious my drink was. I got the Lavender Milk Tea w/ grass jelly ($5.95) and it was perfectly creamy and sweet for me. So, I guess I'm coming back here consistently from now on. Price-wise, it's pretty on par with other boba shops. Plus it's convenient to park and grocery shop here. NOTE: They have a Fall Special going on right now. It's a 1 free upgrade and 1 free topping. Get it while it lasts!

You can advise them of the level of sugar you would like in your drink. Wintermelon tea with grass jelly, almond milk tea and coffee milk tea are my favorite drinks here. Great boba pearls but the drink itself was a bit underwhelming. The taro milk tea barely had raro in it so could be just the type of drink I ordered. The milk tea could've been stronger as well. Overall okay for tea but good for the boba. They have the best around the area as it is perfectly chewy and slightly sweet. Never mushy.

Location in the ranch market is closed. Was very disappointed driving here all the way. Imaps are still showing this location to be open. Terrible !!!

During the pandemic, we have been driving to the San Gabriel, Alhambra, or Monterey Park area from Diamond Bar to get take out lunch, then get tea drinks from Half and Half Main Street (Alhambra). It's nice that the company changed its policy to be able to take phone orders and not have a minimum dollar amount in order to place a phone order. After we pick up our food, we'll call ahead to order, then pick up our drinks within 10 minutes. I get my usually Green Tea with Grass Jelly and on occasion I'll add Aloe Vera. More times than not, Chloe is the one who greets us on the phone and in-store. She's friendly and warm and gives excellent customer service. This location makes excellent drinks and there's hardly a line that's more than 3-4 people, which is one of the main reasons we come here. The Monterey Park location used to have super long lines, so we avoided that location whenever possible. Try Half and Half Main Street and get a refreshing tea drink! Xie Xie!

Summer promotion right now - the large is the same price as the regular. Because of the shape of the cup, a regular seems like so much already. Getting a large - so much liquid. But I cannot resist a deal. Anyways came twice while visiting the area. I got the ice milk with boba, strawberry, and pudding - a classic. And I also tried the mango green tea with QQ balls. QQ ball is like crystal boba, I think. Both were great. You can customize the sweetness, which helps. It is a pricey drink, even with the summer promotion. I think it's like $6.50 for all drinks. Each topping is an extra 58 cents. And some of their combo drinks have multiple toppings, so it can add up. But I love it. I wish there were some up in Northern Ca.

Best boba hands down. Anytime I'm in the area, I always have to make a stop. The boba is warm and soft. It's flavorful. It's the perfect amount of sweetness for me.

We stopped by here because it is my wife's fav boba joint. This location surprised us because it was inside a supermarket and not a stand alone location. Anyhow, we had just finished a pretty long drive segment and we were very thirsty. So we ordered two drinks. Boba with grass jelly and boba with red bean. The staff members were also very kind and gave us thorough instructions to the location of the restrooms in the supermarket since I had been holding it all in for a while. If we were ever in this area again, then we would definitely swing by here again for some quick drinks for the road. There's nothing like being able to slurp down the red beans while driving.

4 workers and no line so service was pretty fast. The cashier answers my questions very thoroughly and made it a point to ask us if we wanted to add an extra topping when we ordered just boba. One of the best boba spots in Alhambra is...hidden inside a 99 Ranch Market!? I've drank a lot of boba from numerous chains and tea shops who use all sorts of convoluted ways to explain their "special" brewing techniques, and throwing marketing buzzwords and visuals at you, etc. while theirs is good, this place is actually great. Give everyone here a raise, they clearly know what they're doing.

I stumbled upon this place when I went grocery shopping at 99 Ranch. So nice to have it here when I'm already out with my purse and parked! The young men were really nice and this location is very popular. I ordered a large boba milk tea to go and was very happy with it.

Was craving some Taiwanese style icee and know that we can't go wrong with this place. The brown sugar icee with 4 toppings and condensed milk is usually our go-to item ($8.88). It comes in a large bowl that can feed 3-4 people. The location is inside the 99 Ranch Market and there's seating available. They close at 8pm.

I come here pretty often especially after grocery shopping at 99 Ranch market. This location is located inside the market. Plenty of parking spaces. The parking spaces is 1 way only so be careful. They do accept orders over the phone and credit cards. I really like it when they have some kind of promotions going on but there's none right now. Promotions can be free topping, free tote bag, free slippers, etc. if you purchase over a certain amount. Some of my favorite drinks from here are Bo's coffee, slush drinks, caramel milk tea and flavored iced tea.

I love me some Half & Half! It's actually my favorite place for milk tea. Was super excited when I saw the signs for an express bar opening in the 99 Ranch Market in Main St. But what had happened was....... Let downs: 1. Was initially cash only (has since activated its card reader). 2. Flavor and add ins to milk tea ratio not so great. 3. During my 2nd visit the add ins to milk tea ratio had improved. Flavor not so much. 4. My 3rd and most likely last visit, the flavor was definitely lacking. My almond milk tea was missing almond and quite possibly tea. My 8 year old didn't seem to mind the colors iced milk with grass jelly though. Needless to say I'm beyond disappointed that I won't be getting my Half & Half fix close by. I will say that there are a couple pros: 1. The employees seem to be friendly enough 2. They do accept card payments 3. They serve food now 4. The area is clean 5. They sell merch like cute pins (which I actually will go back to purchase) 6. This is a new place and it shows. I love that half and half tends to taste the same from each place, but this one tasted more watered down. I am sure overtime they will get better at making their teas like the other half and half locations as they are still new. On the other hand, it's so convenient that it is in 99 ranch, so you can get your shopping done. It's nicely air conditioned, but I wouldn't recommend it for a date. With an empty fridge and hungry stomachs, we decided to head to 99 Ranch to do some grocery shopping and hopefully grab a bite to eat at one of the new food joints located in the front of the store. After seeing the other two restaurants deserted of patrons, we thought we give Half and Half food a go. As I was approaching the cash register, I saw a guest eating this amazing bowl of noodles. So I had to ask what it was and was told that it's one of the Chinese Herb & Soy Sauce Boiled Dish. From a list of 19 items, you can choose 2 or more. But being in the state of near starvation, I selected #245 which was the Combination. It had a bit of everything (seaweed, fish tofu, rice cake, cabbage, fish ball, enoki mushroom, brown sweet blood pig rice cake, beef ball, squid ball, and my choice of clear noodle). The portion was generous; I had to share it. It wasn't so much of a noodle soup, but more a small amount of broth sitting on the bottom. All the ingredients were flavored. But be warned. It took us 15 minutes to get our food. So yes, the drinks do live up to the name of "express". However, there's definitely a wait when it comes to food.

Another incredible Half and Half location! If you've read any of my reviews, Half and Half is my #1 fave boba spot and I've tried basically all the famous ones in SGV (FTB, Tpumps, AU79, Coco, 7 Leaves, etc). This one is located inside the 99 Ranch in Alhambra, yes inside the supermarket. Parking is super easy in the giant lot. This Half and Half opened a couple months ago, and I finally tried it to see if it was on par with the locations in Rowland and Monterey Park. There was no line when we came, and it took about 5 minutes for our drinks to be ready. I'm glad to say my drink was consistently amazing! I always order the Lychee Green Tea with boba, half sugar and less ice. This drink is the perfect amount of sweetness for me, though many of my friends think it's not sweet enough. The tea is always brewed well and not bitter. The lychee flavor is strong but not overpowering. Most importantly, the boba is chewy, soft, and lightly sweet. The cups here are different from the other locations (back to the short and fat cups from before), but the lids have this cute picture on them! TBH I don't think I can ever move away from SoCal because of my undying love for Half & Half.

I love their boba milk tea here. It's my go-to drink. Their customer service is always great and friendly. It's a little far of a drive for me, but I would go out of my way to this place if I'm craving for boba.

Half & half is one of the oldest boba joints in the 626, I have tried most of their offerings and they mostly pale in comparison to other boba places in the area. Their lavender milk tea however, is the one drink that I keep going back for. The lavender flavor is not too overwhelming and doesn't take over the tea flavor of the drink. I do recommend getting it with the honeyboba because the drink has a slight bitter taste, the honey balances it out very well. 70% sweet for this drink is the sweet spot. This half n half location have relatively short line and moves pretty fast, it's a nice treat after shopping in 99 ranch.

I have always heard that there was a half and half in Main Street, but I assumed it never existed because I couldn't see it just by driving. I had settled with my good old Monterey Park location, thankfully my friend clarified that it's in the 99 ranch market! Stopped in for a drink, I ordered my go to the almond milk tea with boba and pudding. Tasted delicious as usual. In fact, I think I might prefer this location as it's not nearly as crowded as the other locations, and the service was really quick! Love me some half and half!

I usually order the matcha boba drink, unfortunately with this location I ordered boba with my drink and found that there was no boba in my matcha drink. It was disappointing however, the matcha flavor was good. Although, they didn't mix my drink throughly enough which explained why the drink came out in a few minutes. However, my friend enjoyed her drink since it had ice and was cold for her, but my drink was at room temperature. I ordered the Matcha Affogato with Honey Boba that costed about 5.08$ and my friend order a Strawberry Green Tea with no Boba that was 4.58$ While they are good prices I'm disappointed in the quality they came in for my drink. I may or may not come back in the future due to this experience.

This is my first time ordering from this Half and Half after the original store closed down. I ordered my drinks over the phone and the drinks were ready by the time I got there. I usually would complain about their price since their prices are not as affordable as before. Due to COVID-19, they are offering $1 off on any drink, so their prices are affordable again. Two drinks are less than $10 which is pretty awesome! Staffs here are pretty friendly and patient. Their drinks are good too! I'm definitely coming back here!

The drinks are very good, the boba is the right amount of firmness. It is easy to customize. My two annoyances: - no prices on the menus - 3.5% service charge if you use a credit card Not my preferred boba choice for these reasons

THE WORST BOBA IVE EVER HAD. I got an almond milk tea and the boba tasted old and not fresh. It had a sour taste to it. It was just a weird old flavor. Had I taken a few sips at the place, i would've asked to exchange it for pudding or something. I already left so I didn't want to make a trip back to this place. The almond milk tea was decent. At least they didn't mess that up. I will not be returning to this location. I will just travel to the Monterey Park location instead.

I was thirsty for boba drink on a Friday afternoon after leaving work early in April. Parking wasn't that bad at 99 ranch market. No line at half and half so I ordered popcorn chicken and passion fruit green tea drink. My drink was out first then waited for popcorn chicken. I took the first bite and it wasn't crispy just lightly fried. I could taste the seasoning on popcorn chicken. I gobble all of them up. It was very good.

This place caught me off guard. I know it's a joint for milk teas, boba drinks, and other mixed concoctions; but I ordered a hot coffee with milk and sugar and the cost was almost $8?! I paid, but lesson learned. It's a bit steep to say the least. I may as well have waited for Sbux. SMH...

Half and half was always a staple if you grew up in the 626. I didn't but I visited family down here so much that half and half was a always go to spot for boba ever since childhood. The quality still taste the same to me and they have tons of flavor choices. I normally go for an apple green tea. If I'm feeling like I need to take the route towards diabetes, I'll definitely go with the ice milk drink. It's so good but they are sweet. You can adjust the sugar level.

I got the #1 drink. I forgot to substitute the boba for more egg pudding. The boba pearls were nasty, old or expired or dirty. Tasted like old grease on a stove top. Never had this kind of taste before. The drink itself and the egg pudding was fine.

Fast, yummy milk tea drinks! Conveniently located at left entrance of store. I can't believe I don't come more often. Slushy drinks are a hit for summer heat, cups don't fit in standard cup holder of car though, boo!

You can't beat half and half--their teas are all quality and every location pretty much tastes the same. I think the only thing I would have to say is that there needs to be a certain level of professionalism, regardless if it is a small shop in a grocery store or a full shop in a plaza. I don't think the bobaristas should be on their phones giggling at videos (with volume on) with each other while a customer is around--at least do it in the back. This doesn't affect the quality of the boba, but it does affect the customer experience and feels slightly awkward. Either way, I'd still buy from here again if I was in the area, but I suppose my expectations for experience will be a bit lower this time.

Half and half is my favorite boba spot! That said enough... been to many locations of half and half and most of them are the same except the location on San Gabriel blvd, they don't accept the same stamp card. Other than that the drinks are all same. My go to drink: longan green tea with QQ balls! I like this location, the line move fast and nice customer services. If you're not happy with your drink they will change it for you. Down side: place is pretty small inside, no room/table & chair to hang out like other boba places (inside). Side note: price increased!

By far my favorite boba place in southern California. I make it a point to come to Half & Half every time I visit. This was my first time at this location which is tucked away in an asian supermarket. I got the sesame milk tea, which wasn't that great TBH, but I'm not basing my review on this one drink alone. My go to is the honeydew milk tea and/or the almond milk tea. There are so many options to choose from it's almost impossible to decide.. For those that are lactose there are non-dairy options - Fruit teas and slushies. I have yet to try these, but I'm sure they're good. They use honey boba which is sweet, so I like to adjust my sweetness level lower to compensate. Definitely a must try if you're a boba lover!

I've been to several Half and Half locations but this is my first time at this one. I noticed it while at 99 Ranch market and they had a sign that said free size upgrade promotion. I decided to order and the employee tells me the promotion ended last week and sign wasn't taken down. I was there on Friday and the promotion ended last week? Sounds like a scam and she wouldn't honor the promotion even though it was their error for not removing the sign. I will never go to that location again

This is a very belated Sept 2018 review. Parking lot is huge. This is located inside 99 Ranch Market on Main St in Alhambra. The food is pretty hood. I had the side orders of spam, veggie and instant noodle. If you don't like the salty flavor,ake sure you ask for less sauce. The dining area is small but people don't sit long. The drinks are good too.

Boba express inside the 99 Ranch Market is now open. We ordered the milk tea with boba and pudding. It was really delicious. I generally do not drink this kind of tea because I usually like mine plain. What I really liked about it was that the tea was not overly sweet like some places and had a nice flavor. The boba was still hot in the cup with a slight honey taste. The pudding was also not too sweet. We will definitely come back and try some other drinks and snacks next time. There is a designated dining area if you would like to sit with quite a few tables and chairs. They take MasterCard, Visa, and Apple Pay. I'm not sure if there is a minimum requirement though. As far as parking, the parking space is quite ample. I have never had an issue finding parking here.

It seems that half and half taste different from each place. The drinks in this place even vary in consistency. My partner ordered the standard milk tea with boba and it had just a right amount of sweetness, while the same one that I got was quadruple times sweeter unfortunately.

I can't say enough good things about half and half!!! It's definitely one of my favorite boba shops in the San Gabriel valley and I'm really glad they have so many locations!! My top three favorite drinks are: lychee green tea with aloe and lychee jelly, rose milk tea with boba, and jasmine milk tea with grass jelly/boba. I really like that you can customize the sweetness and ice level - I normally do half sweet and less ice and the drink comes out just right! I also really like that it actually tastes like tea and not sugar water! I like that this half and half is located in the 99 ranch so you can get some grocery shopping done while sipping on boba!! The service is pretty quick and there's not normally a line! Great spot for an afternoon boba!

Came to the 99 Ranch for a quick ramen dinner before the movies and was pleasantly surprised to find a Half and Half Boba Express right across the way! I am a fan of the large tubs. This time, I got the Iced Milk with Egg Pudding and Boba. The boba was nice and chewy, and the egg pudding not too sweet. The ice milk, which I got at 50%, was perfect sweetness level. You can never go wrong with Half and Half drinks! The service was also quick as well. It was great to complement the dinner we had, and on the trip back towards the theaters. Would come back again when in the area for movies!

I came here a few times and have to say the staffs are so friendly and nice :) The drinks are always good, as well as the popcorn chicken. I love this place since it's inside a market so it makes it more convenient for you to buy stuffs if needed too!

I haven't been to this location but my aunt brought me boba multiple times during the pandemic from this location. I usually go to the one on San Gabriel and Las Tunas but that location closed during the pandemic. The drinks at this location are eh. The first time I tried the almond milk tea with boba it was just as I remember it. The second time, the boba was hard even before I put it in the fridge. Half & Half is known for having soft chewy boba. I have never ordered from Half & Half and got hard boba until recently. Prices are still high and the quality has gone down.

Been coming here while shopping at 99ranch. Customer services have been so so with some really nice cashiers. But.. some really needs their attitude check while answering and taking orders. **Worst during their shifts change. Busier talking and doing their makeup than customer service. Ordered rice dish but told off not available because it's still "cooking". not even offered an option to wait till done cooking (which we were willing). While shopping and waiting...pickup alarm went off...went over to find only the drink ready. When asked about the snack order (which they forgot) told to wait. Not even a sorry. Even kitchen staff had better service this time. Also notice iced drinks have been pretty watered down instead..unlike other H&H locations.

I have been waiting for this Half and Half location inside 99 Ranch to open since I have been shopping here for my groceries while I am attending USC. Now, I can get my weekly grocery shopping done while getting my favorite boba tea! My favorite drink that I get every time I go to Half and Half is the Iced Milk Tea with Red Bean and Honey Boba (#94)! If you want a less sweeter option, go with the Green Bean and Honey Boba (#93). Service was incredibly fast, but their credit/debit card readers were down at the moment. Definitely catch me here every weekend getting boba after my grocery run!
