"Down the street from chef Brian Howard’s other restaurant, Sparrow and Wolf, Half Bird specializes in succulent, flavorful rotisserie chicken. But don’t skimp on the nuggets, fried to a crisp golden brown and available with sauces like green curry ranch, sweet miso bbq, and yuzu hot honey." - Janna Karel

"Half Bird Chicken & Beer, originally opened on Spring Mountain Road, has a new location in Henderson. It offers a menu focused on rotisserie cooking, including chicken sandwiches, nuggets, and ramen. Side dishes include smashed rotisserie potatoes, macaroni with crispy spam and furikake, and Japanese milk bread with togarashi honey butter and sea salt. Local brews like the 'Cockfight' Pils from HUDL Brewery are also available. The Chinatown location has been closed as it wasn't the right fit for the neighborhood, but the Henderson location is thriving." - Janna Karel

I love the hot chicken sandwich! And the smashed potato’s with gravy are delish! We have also had the half bird but it’s good with sauce. And I think the rolls are an acquired taste. We have been here a few times and love it. It’s a funky cool spot and when the weather is good they open the side so it’s an indoor/outdoor counter and there’s a back patio with games like cornhole.

This was our first visit and we ordered to go. I tried the half bird and lots of sides, including the salad, Mac and cheese, broccoli, and rolls. The spices were yummy and there were sauces on the side to amp up the flavor! The food tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly. Service inside was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean and vibrant, including some free arcade games!

Awesome new restaurant on Green Valley and Horizon Ridge. The chicken sandwich and potatoes w/ gravy were amazing. There is an outdoor patio with picnic tables, cornhole, and ring hook games. Amazing beer selection AND the pour your own tap system was an awesome surprise! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be hanging out here.

We were excited to try this place and everyone in our group, young and old, enjoyed the food! One person said it was the best chicken sandwich they’ve ever had! We tried all of the sides and we’d get them all again. The only downside is that a few of the songs were explicit which we didn’t appreciate.

Really good. Passed by many times decided to stop today. The smashed potatoes with gravy taste like Thanksgiving. Four wings and the potatoes was plenty at lunch to share. And the BBQ Sauce was fantastic. The lady taking the order was really friendly and the atmosphere was fun. We will definitely go back. (Forgot to take pictures cause I ate it so quick.)

My girlfriend wanted to try this place and I was like, meh. It’s just a chicken place so wasn’t too interested. I ended up going…. And let me tell you. They have ruined chicken for me. Every single bite was so good that I don’t know of any chicken that can stand up to theirs. We ordered the nuggets, wings, Mac & Cheese, smashed potatoes and bread rolls. Literally all of it was perfect and I couldn’t decide what I liked best. I would recommend them to everyone. Half bird is gonna become a staple for me.

Walked in and the guy at the counter walked me through everything down to the owners and other locations. Got the half bird and broccolini. Omg with the sauces my eyes were rolling back in my head. Great local craft beer taps you help your self to. Little on the pricy side but you pay for quality! Cannot wait to come back.

Google
Was looking for a quick lunch and found this place! It did not disappoint ! You order self service through their computers and they bring the food out to your table. Everything tasted great and very unique flavors used . Will come back for lunch again to try other stuff.

Yelp
Best chicken sandwich in the city! Hands down. Love this place and those togarashi rolls. #IYKYK Decided to try the rotisserie chicken salad. Amazing. And honestly refreshing with the sesame dressing. I don't drink beer, but they have a great selection of local beers on tap including Able Baker, Mojave, HUDL, Imbib. So for all you peeps ready to chill with chicken and beer, it's a vibe. Can't wait to return.

Yelp
Came here for restaurant week 2024 and tried the rotisserie half bird with green curry ranch and their scallion ginger sauce, chili garlic cheese potatoes, a drink, and a fresh baked chocolate chunk cookie. Overall the food was just ok. The half bird was pretty small to be honest and the white meat was really dry and definitely needed the two sauces that came with it. The seasoned chicken skin was quite good and crispy which is what you look for in rotisserie. Speaking of the sauce, the scallion ginger sauce didn't really do it for me. The green curry ranch on the other hand was very good. It was very unique and like nothing I'd ever had before but it still felt very familiar and approachable. I had some left over and put it on some homemade chicken. I straight up was not a fan of the potatoes. There was too much going on and too many competing flavors which in my mind did not go together. I was not expecting much from the cookie but it was incredible. I would almost just stop by for a cookie and nothing else it was that good. The place is cool looking and colorful inside and has a cool "self-pour" beer taps which is awesome and potentially dangerous haha. There is a nice patio with table and chairs and games. I can see what they are trying to do but with their location and other offerings in the valley, I can't really see this place catching on too much, at least in terms of a hang-out. I love to be proven wrong though.

Yelp
I'm conflicted. Initially, I was thrilled because the flavors reminded me of home (Hawai'i). I even went as far as looking up the chef to see if they were from the islands or possibly Japan, to my surprise he was not. I'd consider going back to try something else, like their rotisserie chicken. I enjoyed their gravy smashed potatoes. The donuts were good, they reminded me of a mix between a malasada and andagi. The pineapple cream soda is a must-have. The nuggets didn't stand out, but the dipping sauces were unique. I wasn't a fan of the mac n cheese; as a lover of musubis -- furikake and spam are a staple in my household, I found it lacking in both, would have loved more of both & some more cheesy goodness. I'm unsure about the ramen style noodles used either. Despite this, the staff was friendly, the overall vibes were cool, and it's great that they offer outdoor games and trivia. However, I do wish the portion sizes were more generous. I look forward to going back and checking out other menu items that other reviews have raved about.

Yelp
I think this place would get 5 stars if I were eating the burger and the potatoes because they looked delicious and my friends got it and loved it. I got the half bird chicken and the chicken side salad and it wasn't really anything special. The side salad was a bit dry - needed something else or more sauce. The half chicken was ... chicken.. it was good. They have beer on tap that you pour yourself - kind of cool I do love that this place has trivia every Wednesday at 6 - that is really fun. The overall vibe of the place is really cool

Yelp
Half Bird Chicken & Beer has made its way to Henderson! This is a great place to get a unique version of rotisserie chicken, nuggets, and sides. I love their twist on what you'd expect at a chicken spot. The dining room has a good amount of seating. I've never had an issue getting a table for lunch. They have a fun little outdoor area too. The employees here are really friendly and make you feel welcome. It's easy dining with the kiddos here because they make sure you have everything you need. The rotisserie chicken is meaty and moist. The nuggets have a light, delicious breading. The Chicken Salad has been my favorite item so far. It looks plain, but there are so many great flavors and textures. I couldn't believe how good something so simple was. The togarashi rolls are delicious with a little heat. Their potatoes are nice and crispy with a delicious gravy. I don't love the Mac and cheese with spam. It's not my cup of tea, but spam lovers would enjoy it. You can get it without spam too. In addition to great food they also offer lemonades, teas, sodas, and beers on tap. Half Bird is a great spot to check out if you're looking for something slightly unique. It's a great neighborhood spot.

Yelp
This was our first time at either of the Half Bird locations, and we were pleasantly surprised. We ordered a chicken sandwich and smash burger and wanted some sides, and our cashier kindly informed us that we could make it a combo and save some money! We swapped the potatoes that come with the combo for broccolini and mac n cheese for no extra cost. Everything was absolutely delicious, and we got to play some arcade games too!

Yelp
My husband and I just dined here for the first time for dinner and greatly enjoyed our experience. First, the ambiance is super fun and quirky, complete with rubber chicken chandeliers, neon chicken feet, and chicken Elvis! They also had a couple of old school arcade type games inside as well as corn hole out on their awesome patio. For ordering, you can self order at 1 of 2 digital kiosks or you can order up at the counter. Since this was our 1st time, we chose to order at the counter. The employee was super friendly and gave us some good menu suggestions. They also have self serve soda machine, self pour beer station, as well as bottle/can adult beverage options. We were super hungry so we over ordered, because they give you a lot of food! I had the 8 piece nugget combo w/ rotisserie potatoes & gravy (the nuggets had a GREAT flavor and crispness; I chose gravy and the yuzu hot honey for dipping; both delicious). I liked the rotisserie potatoes, but actually wished it was a smaller portion because it was sooooo heavy. My husband got the spicy chicken sandwich with a side of their spam mac & cheese. He loved his sandwich; right heat level and crispness. He enjoyed his mac & cheese, but like me with the potatoes he said it was super rich and dense. We also got an order of rolls to try which are ridiculously good. Overall, absolutely enjoyed our experience. I did dock a star because I wish there were some additional lighter side options like fries or even rice. Other than broccoli & side salad, all sides are heavy - which is great if you're mega hungry haha

Yelp
I heard a lot of good things about Half Bird and the first location opened up. I never got around to trying it, so when the Green Valley location opened up close to my home, I thought I would stop in and try it. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich, butcher wings, and half rotisserie chicken combos. For side dishes we got the potatoes and broccolini. We ordered at the self serve kiosk but you can order at the counter as well. I would suggest ordering at the counter if you want any modifications done to your order. We ordered just in time as the place started to fill up for dinner. Some were dining in and they seemed to have quite a few people taking their food to go. It was a nice casual environment with an upbeat ambiance. The employees were all nice and had great attitudes. The chicken wings and rotisserie chicken were more flavorful than the fried chicken sandwich. The chicken was juicy and the sauces were flavorful. We tried the bbq, honey mustard, and green curry ranch. The ranch had quite a kick and the flavor was unique. I would definitely stop in again to try more items off the menu. The smashed burger and nuggets are my next items to try.

Yelp
Last week I took a trip out to Chinatown to visit one of my favorite coffee shops and noticed Half Bird Chicken & Beer on my way there. Thinking to myself, I wanted to check this place out on my next visit to Chinatown, THEN I learned the day after that they had just opened a second location in Henderson close to my house. You can find this location on Green Valley Parkway, right before it changes into Sunridge Heights, in the Target shopping complex. We were instantly greeted by the delicious smell of chicken as we walked in, wondering what we should order from here. I was looking at their smashburger, but my boyfriend decided against it because he told me that ordering a burger from a chicken shop made no sense. Ok, fine. If you insist. If you want me to have chicken, I will have chicken. I went for their butcher wings with siracha mayo and sweet miso BBQ sauce with brix mac and cheese on the side. My boyfriend ordered their classic fried chicken sandwich with gravy smashed potatoes on the side. The wings paired perfectly with the sweet miso BBQ sauce, but the siracha mayo sauce was a little too spicy for me. The mac and cheese, which included bricks of ham in it (which is why it's called brix mac and cheese), was fresh and very flavorful. The classic fried chicken sandwich and gravy smashed potatoes, according to my boyfriend, also had lots of flavor to them. He says that he doesn't mind coming back to try their food again. They have a spacious outdoor patio, which is perfect to use when it's a nice day outside. This is an excellent chicken shop if you're looking for a chicken fix, and I'm happy that they expanded out to Henderson.

Yelp
I saw this place had recently opened up and had to come check it out! It is not your average chicken joint. There's some Japanese inspiration going on, and it's apparent in the seasonings and flavors! This restaurant is located in a huge plaza with ample parking. The interior is spacious with lots of tables available. They even have functional arcade games that you can play. [Service] I came in around 2 p.m., and it wasn't that busy. I scanned the menu, and everything sounded so good that it was hard to decide what to get. The cashier was friendly and even brought my food out to me. It took around 15 minutes to get it. Good service! [Food] I got the half bird combo, and it came with half the chicken, smashed potatoes covered in umami gravy, and a drink. It also came with two sauces you can choose from. I decided to go with the chili garlic crunch and hot yuzu mustard. Unfortunately, they forgot the hot yuzu, so I only got to try the chili sauce. The chicken was perfectly cooked. Juicy and tender, and it paired so well with the sauce. The star of the show was definitely the potatoes in gravy. The flavor was phenomenal. I've never tasted gravy like that before! I will be back for sure. I want to try out some other things on the menu and the other sauces. 4/5 stars from me!

Yelp
What an amazing surprise to see Half Bird in Henderson! Located in the Target center where Green Valley meets Sunridge Heights (ok, well...technically, Carnegie), their original celebrated Chinatown location has been open for a while now, but this is their first expansion. Living in Anthem, I couldn't be happier to find they're now only a few minutes away from home. Previously, my go-to for tender moist chicken in the area has been Houstons Hot Chicken. However, in my opinion, Half Bird does Houstons one better with a gallery of different menu options, different sauces, and a varied selection of sides, all of which are impressive. My family tried and shared a number of different items... We ordered the regular fried chicken sandwich (they also have a "hot" option), got a basket of 20 chicken nuggets (you get two sauces so we got Sweet Miso BBQ, Yuzu Hot Honey and added a third optional sauce of Sriracha Mayo - there were still roughly four other choices as well!) and ordered sides such as their Japanese Milk Bread rolls, and Mac and Cheese with Spam and Furikake. When you get a combo, you also get a side of their smashed rotisserie potatoes, which are kind of like large chunks of potato that are fried so you get a crispy crust, but are creamy and mashed consistency inside. Then, they "poutine" it up with a tasty gravy, scallions and sesame seeds. Wow was that good! While we're on the sides, you're going to start thinking I've been paid by the business (I wish haha!) but that Mac N Cheese side - it's a MUST have! SO good. The sauce is creamy and on point, but they use these thick chewy radiator shaped large pasta shapes that soak up the sauce and are delicious! You can ask for no spam (my daughter was a bit scared of it) but it was a delicious add to the Mac. Small chunks mixed in, nothing crazy but it added flavor and the seaweed seasoning (furikake) just brought it all home with some color and flavor. Delicious! As for the rolls, if you haven't had Japanese milk bread, you'll dig it. Imagine super light fluffy rolls. Super good. Finally, as to the main course, we loved that the chicken sando used Japanese Kewpie mayo which was a nice touch but while we enjoyed the sandwich, the nuggets were the standout to us. These are big boys- you will not be disappointed at the size of these nuggets. If you order 20, you are going to want to split these unless you have a HUGE appetite. Nice crispiness and seasoning on them - they really didn't need a sauce but SO juicy and tender. We were blown away. We ended up bringing them home and I'd offer that they may have been even better cold. They also have other menu items and I'd be remiss if I didn't call out that they highlight their rotisserie chicken but we haven't tried that yet so I'll leave that to other reviews. I did see someone else with it and it looked great so no reason to think it wasn't spectacular given our experience with what we had. One last shout out to the management- not sure if it was the owner or manager but we were visited while we were eating to see if everything was good and the gentleman was just so thoughful and kind. I just wish the best for these guys. It's rare to have such a great experience during the first week of a new opening but if they're THIS good now, I can't imagine how they can be any better. Just a 5 star experience. Try it and enjoy!! Thanks Half Bird and welcome to Henderson!!

Catalina J.

Yelp
This place is decorated so beautifully on the interior and exterior. The service was quick and they were friendly even if we were placing a to-go order. As expected, this newly opened restaurant was packed! I love to see locals discovering new spots. I opted for their burger and it came with smashed potatoes. The burger was juicy, I wish the bun was a little better it was a bit smashed like the burger, but that's okay, because the taste made up for it! I loooved the smashed potatoes they were cooked and seasoned beautifully. It's rare to find a burger/sandwich joint in the valley that serves potatoes cooked this way instead of the traditional fries. So I was very excited to try that. They offer rotisserie chicken options and ramen a salad options as well! I will definitely be back!

Andrea M.

Yelp
Great service upon arrival. The gurl who took my order was very patient with me as this was my first time and had no idea what I wanted. I decided on the basic rotisserie 3 wings. The wing were tasty. Just enough seasoning to not feel too over powerful. I wanted something semi healthy for dinner tonight and this did the job. Now the wings in addition to the hot chili honey sauce, bomb! The ambiance is a cool lil vibe. They have a old school game for the kids the play and 2 TVs with the football game on. I would come back to try their spicy chicken sandwich.

Lauren N.

Yelp
How oh how do you make your chicken so fall-off-the-bone mouthwateringly tasty and delicious?!? It really is unfair--tell me your secret! Stoked that Half Bird came to our side of town!!! I'm no stranger to the Half Bird off Spring Mountain and got excited when I heard Brian Howard was opening another location--in Henderson, off Horizon near Target. He knows how to make a tasty meal. I already tout Sparrow & Wolf's praises, with its upper scale vibes and unique flavor combinations. Half bird is a great casual counterpart. It's comfort food with a twist. Comfort food that slaps you in the mouth--and you like it. Everything is so flavorful, I don't know how he makes all the sauces, sides, and chicken rub so packed with powerful flavor but he does. It's quite journey for the tastebuds. It may have been their first night, but the staff didn't show it! Our service was great--everyone was friendly, helpful, and happy! If the staff can stay calm and smiling on the first day, that says boatloads. The funky ambiance of chicken themed decor and vibrant lights make this a place extra fun too! They have indoor and outdoor seating, grass, and games like corn hole -- which makes this an enticing place to hang out while you drink a beer and snack on some tasty wings, fingers, potatos, rolls, or even the broccoli... seriously. The broccoli has caramelized whole cloves of roasted garlic. Who does that?!? Yum!! I can't wait to try their beer wall! You get a card, load it with an amount of cash, and then you can try any of their beers! You pay by the ounce! Can't wait to make my own flight next time I'm in! :)

Glenn N.

Yelp
Amazing chicken, great selection of craft beer both self pour and cans.. Brian Howard, owner of Sparrow and Wolf, doing it right with this quick dine vibey concept that hits the mark on every level. Recently moving their location from China Town, this location is very tucked away so it's definitely a spot you either get to on recommend or fortune.. 6 piece nugget was my speed today, freshly battered and fried to perfection with an incredible seasoning spice complimented by some pretty amazing sauces with an Asian flair including hot honey yuzu, miso bbq and chili hot being on my favorites. I truly can't wait for the next visit to play a little corn hike, arcade games and chill amongst good company!!

Keni Z.

Yelp
Food is overpriced, and it lacks a lot of flavor and freshness. Chicken is dry. I give this place a 7/10 Simply because the only good thing were the potatoes with butter. The buns are so hard & bland. I don't think I'll be coming back here.

Tim L.

Yelp
I bought a half chicken and it was closer to the size of a game hen vs a chicken. Not a good value unfortunately. The flavor was good, not great. I was very disappointed and will not be back.

Terry C.

Yelp
They serve beer on tap with a good selection. The prices were reasonable for the amount of food and I think we'll return. The nuggets were huge, the largest I've seen before. A friend said her beef sandwich was the best she's ever had. The chicken salad was tasty and filling. I didn't even need to order an extra spicy burger but it was also tasty. The togarshi bread was okay but mostly Hawaiian bread with a few toppings. 3 sauces for 18 nuggets would be a better ratio instead of 2. The nuggets were a little plain without the sauce. I liked the roasted potatoes. They had a good flavor and not drowned in sauces. We were literally the only people there for a while so the service was quite good. The music was a little loud and a weird mix but okay. You place your order and they deliver to your table. Free drink refills.

Ramsey H.

Yelp
We tried them out for dinner on a Thursday evening. They weren't very busy so we were able to order right away. We've tried out their Spring Mountain location, so we already had an idea of what to expect. There was a hiccup with the doneness of some of our chicken, but they handled it quickly and professionally. So no big deal. The food tastes as good as the other location. The restaurant itself is fun and clean. Overall we had a nice dining experience. Things feel a little on the expensive side. But it's okay for the occasional meal.

Teynae R.

Yelp
We had the wings, ramen, broccoli, mac and bread. All the food was really tasty with one exception...the Mac and cheese needs work. The wings are full wings not a drum and a flat. Broccoli was fresh and well seasoned. The bread was warm, yeasty, with a hint of heat. Service was fast and friendly. Nice patio for watching games and a few heaters to keep folks comfortable during the cooler days and evenings. A nice edition to the neighborhood!

Debrah D.

Yelp
Cool new place to eat and hang out at in Green Valley! A coworker said they moved from Spring Mountain and she was raving about this place but I never got to visit their Spring Mountain location. There's just so much other places on my list of places to go when I'm on that side of town. This location is closer and there aren't a lot of places I haven't been closer to home...so voila! We ended up here tonight. The flow of the lobby is kind of crowded. There's a counter to order food but there's also a couple of kiosks across the counter and the self service non alcoholic fountain drink machines next to the counter so you kinda get confused and ask people why they're waiting on because everyone is standing in that immediate area. There's a heated outdoor seating area, some arcade games when you walk in, and what looks like half a garage door probably for days when the weather is nice. Outdoor, there's a lot of pillars they contend with so the spacing is kinda tight. The arcade games are in a weird area too, a lot of people were waiting for their food in that area and it seemed like the games were just in the way. But great effort to entertain the kiddos. They really highlighted the self serve tap. It looks very techy but don't be afraid, there are instructions! Haha! The decor is fun! Let's get down to the food; we got the half chicken combo with brix Mac & cheese, a chicken sando, and a 10 piece chicken nugget meal. The sauces we tried were the Dijon honey mustard, miso bbq, and gravy. I enjoyed the half chicken...I like the white meat- I thought it was pretty moist and not dry at all. It could've used more seasoning. The Mac & cheese was kinda dry. I'll probably go for the broccoli next time. My kid didn't really like his chicken sando, but the nuggets were huge and made with real chunks of chicken. Service was friendly and our food was delivered to our table quickly. The table was stainless steel and I saw that someone was wiping tables, but whatever they wiped it with left streaks of something sticky. I'm probably going to be back to try the broccoli side and maybe the ramen next time and get my kid the smash burger. But how good can that stuff be? Burger and ramen from a chicken spot? We'll see!

Michelle A.

Yelp
Went on a Starbucks run and noticed this new restaurant Half Bird was opened, after anticipating it's opening for awhile, I could smell the fried chicken and potatoes from Starbucks, so my daughter and I decided to come give it a try. Everyone was really friendly as we walked in, all acknowledging us and saying hello and welcoming us in. The interior was really cute, and trendy. We weren't very hungry, so decided on some sides. My daughter ordered the Mac and cheese (it comes with spam) which she loves because her dad and his family are from Hawaii, Mac and cheese was a hit. I had their smashed potatoes, they were good, I definitely want to come back and fry the fried chicken and smash burger next time I visit. Bonus if you enjoy having some brew they have a beer station (almost like a soda fountain) where you serve yourself and I believe they charge you by the ounce. Also their patio area looks comfy!

Debbie G.

Yelp
This was our first visit and we ordered to go. I tried the half bird and lots of sides, including the salad, Mac and cheese, broccoli, and rolls. The spices were yummy and there were sauces on the side to amp up the flavor! The food tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly. Service inside was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean and vibrant, including some free arcade games!

Leonardo P.

Yelp
This is one of the best chicken sandwich that we really enjoy. We went to the location on Spring Mountain, but unfortunately it closed, we had to make a trip to Henderson now, hopefully one day they will open one in the north end of the town.

Allan N.

Yelp
Ordered nuggs and brocollini. I love the decor and service, both were excellent. The chicken, however, was way too salty, likewise with the sauces (curry ranch and miso bbq). I really couldn't even finish my portion, and I must have drank about a half a gallon of water afterwards. If that gets fixed, maybe I'd return, otherwise no thank you.

Rebecca R.

Yelp
So happy the popular Half Bird Chicken & Beer by Chef Brian Howard opened in our neighborhood! This is the best fried chicken I've had in Vegas. Not a LICK of dryness whatsoever. Just moist, delicious, well-seasoned, rotisserie chicken. If fried chicken sandwiches tickle your fancy, they have those too. I loved the spicy chicken sandwich - the chicken was perfectly battered and fried and paired with pickles and a delicious house made sauce. They also have a full list of all the sides your heart desires: homemade Mac and cheese, smashed potatoes and broccoli - just to name a few. To finish strong, we managed to scarf down some donut holes and homemade chocolate chip cookies. Do yourself a favor and come here hungry! Also, what's fried chicken without a cold beer on the side? The restaurant has a self-serve beer tap system, with over 8 different beers to choose from and pour yourself. They charge by the ounce - so you can try them all! If beer isn't your thing, don't worry; they have craft cocktails available like a spicy margarita. As far as ambiance goes, this is going to be your neighborhood hangout. Swing by to watch a game on one of their two giant TVs, or come by with family and friends and sit on the outdoor patio where you can play games and dine under twinkle lights. Half Bird Chicken & Beer (Henderson location) opens to the public on November 14... run, don't walk to this place!!

Millers F.

Yelp
That's the best rotisserie chicken I've had in my life . Definitely try the Smash Potato's. Delectable.

Jiaranai C.

Yelp
I was very eager to try this place because it's near my job. I've ordered the spring mountain chicken sandwich meal with the chili oil potatoes and my boyfriend got the double burger with gravy potatoes. The chicken sandwich was very juicy and I loved the chili oil they use. The potatoes were crispy and flavorful as well. They also had this pineapple cream soda which was soo good. I do love this place because it's unique and the menu serves the same food like the other but with a twist that would make me come back again to try other items on the menu. The restroom however was a little unclean. But the decorations were very cool. The staff were really nice except the lady who took our order, she seems annoyed with us. Other than that I will come back for the food and the drinks were good. Also, they sell the chili oils by the cashier so I will be back for that. My bill came out to $48 and some change.

Leah C.

Yelp
So dissatisfied and disappointed. My son ordered lunch back in January and we had a sample piece of chicken and it was delicious. We looked forward to ordering it for dinner. We had family last night and was raving how good it was. Ordered pick up and got home to find chicken was burnt. Called them to replace and still got burnt chicken. Their frying oil was old. Ordered Mac and cheese without spam and they still put in some sort of meat but it wasn't spam! I would never recommend this place. On the lighter side, place looks clean and great for eating there in person.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise this was. Wife and I split the hot chicken sandwich. We got the smashed rotisserie potatoes, brix mac n cheese and togarashi rolls. What a great experience. They have quite a few options and we are going to have to go back to try them all. Beer and more beer, including a self pour tap and cans. Really a great experience and so delicious. You order, then sit down and they bring you the food. Little confusing for some of the employees to figure out some of the procedures. They have an outdoor section with corn hole games and ring toss. That'll be fun when it warms up a bit.

Yelp
Pretty solid food. It's not the least expensive place I've ever been but it's not bad and it's a good quality. I think it could rate higher but I was in a rush so didn't get the full enjoyment. Chicken sandwich and burgers were good.

Yelp
How awesome can a chicken sandwich be? You're about to find out. This thing blew my mind. Showed up with my family on opening night and it was busy. Service was friendly and quick, everything was out in 7-8 minutes. You can order at the counter or on a giant tablet, choose your own adventure. Some highlights are the outdoor patio with bags and an indoor/outdoor bar. A selfie mirror near the bathrooms so you can let your friends know you're about to have some good chicken on social media. And if you're lucky you'll catch Chef Brian who doesn't need much introduction hanging around and helping the staff. Had the Spring Mountain Spicy Chicken Sandwich. Way more umami focused than actually hot. The schezuan spice leaves your mouth tingling and numb. Chicken was perfectly juicy, crust was crispy as hell and full of texture. Bun soft and steamed. Can't really ask for anything more, one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. Would put it up against any competitor's. Must orders: Togarashi Rolls: A+ I would eat an entire baking sheet. Mac and Cheese: Perfectly textured pasta, gooey cheese with spam and some crunchy breadcrumbs. Shisho Lemonade: An ideal compliment to a spicy chicken. Donuts with Miso Caramel: THESE ARE INSANE. Lucky this place opened up in the neighborhood. We'll be coming back to eat often.

Yelp
The chicken is bomb and juicy! I got the hot chicken sandwich the heat was there but didn't kick so if like a little heat this sandwich is for you. The smashed potatoes were mid in my opinion i think they can be better by requesting (which you can do!) for them to be crispier, adding a bit of more of a crunch to it. The rolls were good but needed just something a bit more, i think a spicy honey drizzle would be good enough or pairing it with a rotisserie chicken would be more like it, other than that i would choose something else as an side. Lots of seating and a good playlist. Overall I will be returning, happy customer!

Yelp
Gave it 3 stars and one of the stars was for the staff because they were really nice. Seems to be a nice atmosphere but the food was overpriced for what you get. Food lacked flavor. Got a smash burger and half rotisserie chicken. Rotisserie chicken was too fleshy for me and the smash burger....well let's say won't be coming back anytime soon.

Yelp
Another episode of The Good,The Bad and Well... I really dig the Concept idea here! It's fun and funky! The menu is sustainable and they highlight local Brews! Place is colorful and clean with a sarcastic vibe. There is a cool patio and a wall that opens up for an indoor outdoor countertop! Staff is fairly attentive and cheery! Okay the menu is good and actually has some dietary conscious choices available. It does seem a bit pricey for chicken but... the portions are just about right. The Brocollini side was fresh and cooked exactly al dente, but kinda lacked some flavor Zing. I did not care for the Mac and Cheese. It had a stale, odd powdered milk flavor to it. The Mustard sauce was salty and the Ginger Scallion sauce was oily and also lacked flavor. The Half Chicken was cooked well, was not dry and was seasoned well however it was barely warm. Due to the lack of heat lamps and the trays of food sitting on a prep table while waiting for the orders to be completed prior to table delivery. The Original Chicken Sandwich was Spot on the Best item on the table! Hot,crispy and juicy. It had great seasoning and a good balance of flavors! The Togarashi rolls were not great and were probably just proof and bake style buns . We did enjoy the overall and a manager did stop by the table and asked how we enjoyed our Brew selections, and everything! Give em a try they are doing a pretty good job.

Yelp
Cool place for a fast bite out just really good chicken and beer! Friendly service and quality food Same owners as sparrow and wolf but a fun concept I think I had lunch here 3 times while in town

Yelp
Can't give any feedback on the restaurant itself since I ordered via DoorDash. The food was honestly very good minus the broccolini. It just didn't have much flavor so I would not order it again. I also thought they were a bit heavy with the sauce on the smash burger but overall I'd eat Half Bird again.

Yelp
Decor is fun and cool, but the food is only average. The chili garlic cheese potatoes are a little too garlicky for my taste

Yelp
We had to try this new place which is just up the street from us. Have a 4 1/2 star rating was also attractive. The location is not a high traffic spot so I'm hoping other people discover them soon. I always want a great place to be successful and this is a great place. My wife had a classic chicken sandwich which was very good. I'd actually rate it above Popeyes, which is high praise. I had the half rotisserie chicken which is a nice size, bigger than a Cornish Game Hen but smaller than Costco. It was juicy and perfectly cooked. The breast meat was juicy and tender. I also liked the spices which made it an ideal rotisserie chicken. You can't find better than this. Now, I'll get to the big surprise. We ordered a combo but instead of fries they have these mashed potato balls that are deep fried and served with a small coating of chicken gravy. OMG! These things are fantastic. The only negative is they didn't put enough gravy on ours. Next time I'd order and extra side of gravy for 75 cents. Next time I go I will try the potatoes with chili as a main dish. Seriously, whatever you get you must try these potatoes. I don't know why everybody doesn't serve these things. I'm looking forward to my next visit. Give this place a try. Sorry, I didn't take pictures, it gives me a excuse to go back soon.

Yelp
Loved this place. We only ordered 2 things - the chicken salad and a half rotisserie chicken with broccolini - but WOW! They sound like such ordinary dishes but the meal was an explosion of flavor. The salad was fresh and crisp, with rotisserie chicken pieces that were tender and juicy...and the sesame dressing was slightly sweet and very sesame-y. I devoured my salad in like 10 minutes because it was SO good. The salad portion size was enough for my dinner but for larger appetites, you may want to order a side. As for the half rotisserie chicken, my husband left literally nothing on the bones - it was that delicious. He said the broccolini was also tasty. The decor is kitschy and whimsical with custom rubber chicken chandeliers and vintage video games. Service was friendly and fast. Cannot wait to come back to this casual, fun, yummy spot!

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place for a while and what a disappointment. The burger was salty and greasy and the garlic chili fries were pretty terrible too.

Yelp
Not going to lie this place is different. What I mean by that is that this place is 5/5 gourmet restaurant. The Butchered wings truly taste unique like no other. Most traditional chicken restaurants all have the same taste because they are a chain of repetitive flavors. However, Half Bird tastes very unique and different. Different seasonings are used on the chicken which makes them unique. The sauces are are also very unique with the Chili Garlic Crunch, Green Curry Ranch, and Ginger Green Onions. This restaurant taste's like it's an expensive high end restaurant because of its flavors and uniqueness. Another thing, the art in this restaurant is expressive and captures your attention by it's authentic art created by a fellow artist that I know personally. The restaurant, the food, and the hospitality of the staff sets this restaurant at a 10/10 all around.

Yelp
Came with my little one on a night my husband was out of town for work, and my big kids were elsewhere. We enjoyed the food, the tap beer--self serve by the ounce, and the cashier was helpful and gave suggestions as to what was the best sellers. We got the chicken bites, mac and cheese, and the smashed potatoes. The decor is fun & we were big fans of the chickens on the walls and the lights! And my little one wanted to stay and play the video games all night. we will come back again for more soon!

Yelp
Amazing, quality, consistently delicious chicken! Must try! We frequented the Spring Mt location often, and were anxiously awaiting the opening of this location as we live on this side of town. It has the same magic as the first location, with the fun unique decor depicting their half bird half badass mascot, and lots of rubber chickens! There is a beer wall here where you get a card and pay by the ounce, the beer offerings are awesome, unique local beers, and they've also got some nice canned offerings including some canned cocktails and mini champagne bottles. The menu is essentially the same as the other location but for newbies the highlight is the rotisserie chicken. We loved the roasted broccoli as well! The other can't miss are the sauces and you absolutely must try the green curry ranch, I would take shots of this if it was socially acceptable. Definitely try this new spot in Henderson! It's so clucking good!

Yelp
Love this restaurant and their chicken sandwiches! The sandwiches are a good price and you can tell the chicken is of good quality Really clean inside and staff is super kind!

Yelp
Place is busy for a reason. So happy to have it in the neighborhood. Got nuggets and a cookie. Exactly what I wanted and looking forward to coming back.

Yelp
I read a review from a friend so I stopped in today to check it out. There was a couple in front of me who couldn't make up their minds and a couple behind me who ended up ordering from the large tablets because the couple was taking so long. From the time I placed my order to the time I got my Spring Mountain Chicken Sandwich and fries, which were actually potatoes covered in gravy it took 13 minutes. The couple behind me got their food first so I should have followed their lead. The sandwich was good with a decent kick but it was kind of cold and I'm still not sure if they actually have fries but the potatoes were pretty good so I didn't mind. The staff seemed nice and when I left it was pretty busy. I'm not sure if I'll go back but I would definitely recommend it.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped there for lunch this afternoon. We walked in at 11:30 and it wasn't very busy. Wondered if it was just because it was new or ???? We ordered the half rotisserie chicken and chicken nuggets. The half chicken was good, as to be expected but the chicken nuggets were AMAZING!! The perfectly flavored breading and super tender breast meat. We also ordered a smash burger even though we were in a "chicken joint" and it didn't disappoint. The place is super clean, games were on huge monitors and there's even an area outside to eat and play corn hole. We will definitely make this a regular stop!!
