Yelp
My rating is between a 3 and a 4 only because of inconsistent execution and the price for brunch. I've lived in the neighborhood for over 5 years and really like to come here, they have a great menu focused on British cuisine. The stars of the menu: Salmon (meal or salad), sausage roll bites, fish and chips, Mac and Cheese and their vege stir fry. I really like the variety of their menu, there is something for everyone and diversity for your mood or appetite. If you love pasties from London, then you must get the sausage bites! It's by far my favorite item. My second favorite dish is the salmon salad- salmon is cooked well, not dry with excellent flavor. All of their salads are great btw. Service is pretty good, sometimes you have to look for your server here though. But everyone is friendly and helpful. The decor is unique and interesting. It's an old house converted to a restaurant with cool outdoor seating on both the first and second floors. Inside you have a vintage style decor with cool wallpaper and a two story open bar that is something to see. If they are busy, the food is executed well, if they are slow not so much (you think the opposite would be true). I've had a few meals that just weren't up to par. Brunch- well, I just don't think breakfast for two people should cost $60, plain and simple. You just don't get value for the money. It's also a small brunch menu, not a lot of choices. However, this a place worth coming to- cool ambiance and steps away from Petco park, or a reasonable walk to the Rady shell. A nice option outside of the gaslamp. If you come, you must try the sausage bites! They are so good.
