The Best Bars In Soho - London - The Infatuation

"Hotel bars tend to be a bit rubbish, don’t they? Well, yeah, a lot of them are, but the one at the Ham Yard Hotel is definitely not. It’s one of most photogenic bars in town and besides feeling more like a members’ club than a bar that’s open to the public, it’s an excellent place for strong drinks and people watching. It can definitely come off as a bit see-and-be-seen, but it tends to be worth it, especially if you’re dropping in for a few drinks in the pretty lounge or on the terrace outside. The restaurant here’s not up to much, so stick to drinks before heading to dinner elsewhere." - David Paw, Heidi Lauth Beasley

We booked an afternoon tea here based on some online reccomendation and it didn't dissapoint. The service was immaculate, the tea was heavenly and the food was very good and in large enough quantities that we were full at the end. Also the seating area is very nice and the whole athmosphere is very relaxing.

Excellent value set lunch, food all tasted perfectly balanced. Service was fantastic. Always a pleasure

Went here a while ago in the autumn for afternoon tea with family and we were all very impressed by the whole experience. The room was very cozy and beautiful decor. We had plenty of time and the service was very professional and helpful! The food was very delicious with a big variety of good tasting sandwiches and baked goods. I really recommend this place for your next afternoon tea visit!

Came here for a late afternoon lunch, and really enjoyed the experience. The decor is elegant , modern and bright, pretty much as you would expect in a hotel restaurant, but the food and service were better. My octopus starter far exceeded my expectations; quality ingredients, beautifully cooked. The seafood sharing platter was also very good, and I loved the Snickers-inspired dessert. A nice bottle of Gavi and friendly, attentive service. Highly recommended.

I would highly recommend people visit this restaurant as it has alot to offer. This restaurant boasts a wide open indoor space which makes it very comfortable and welcoming. Food was delicious, multiple upscale dishes that you can choose from to address any dietary requirements. We went for the chicken schnitzel and halibut. Both of them cooked perfectly and arriving on time. The cocktail selection at this place is quite good as well. Management and service was impeccable. When a genuine issue was raised with one of the dishes the staff was very apologetic, the manager quickly rectified it, and the whole situation was sorted without a fuss, 10/10 for service. My only point of improvement would be to have some light music playing in the background which would make the atmosphere even nicer.

A couple of months ago my aunty took me to a movie screening and a surprise dinner here, for my birthday (photos included below). A friend from abroad and I were in the area on Sunday evening and post evening shenanigans we had no place to sit and converse - I was so excited when i realised the Ham Yard Hotel was a short walk away. We went to the bar seating area, and despite the fact that we ended up not ordering a drink other than some water, the staff were so warm and welcoming and overall outdid themselves with the service. They were so genuinely sincere, especially as the quality in service in most bar/lounge areas can go down when you don’t purchase drinks. I will be bringing my network here when in the area for both dinner (because the food i had was AMAZING) and the bar area for a drink! Hopefully one day i’ll stay at the hotel too so i can recommend it to my friends, family, and clients that come from abroad - i expect the hospitality will be nothing less than what i have experienced thus far. Thank you. PS. To the lovely lady who shared an upcoming trip to Morocco - I hope you had a wonderful holiday.

This place is so cute for tea! I have been there twice now, and each time is amazing. They have a tea service with champagne which is what I recommend! You can sit in an indoor area with a glass roof, so the atmosphere is bright. The chairs are comfy arm chairs and the set up is so cute. I did go with a friend the first time that has a gluten allergy and they were able to adapt the menu for her. The food is phenomenal as well. For sure add this to your must visit in London list.

Google
Perfection! We booked lunch in the restaurant after our wedding ceremony at Chelsea old town hall. It was only 6 of us but the staff made it the most fantastic experience possible - sheer class! Our waitress Say was just incredible, the kindest and most professional woman, we all fell in love with her! She made our wedding lunch so special. The table selection the restaurant made, the set menu, and the atmosphere was absolutely perfect, i will never forget it. Thank you x

Yelp
What does nice decor and above average food mean if you have very mediocre service (at best) and for a place that charges as much as it does? Long story short, 6 of us went here after work for dinner and experienced very slow, lackluster, inattentive service. (for ex. having to flag someone down to take our order or when asking questions for our vegan friends, not knowing the answer or coming across as not caring or annoyed- I get this is subjective, but that is not only what I perceived but the other did as well) Otherwise, the ambiance and the food looked like what was shown on their website. The food was above average. (good but nothing spectacular either) I would have just given three stars given the mediocre service, but when you factor in the higher prices, you should expect better.

Yelp
The Ham Yard was exactly the experience we were looking for. From check in, to room service, concierge, to check out, everything at the Ham Yard was done with excellence. There is so much to talk about at this wonderful hotel, but I will only say this; book it you won't regret it. We have stayed at expensive hotels in London and always left not feeling like we had the experience we were looking for. The Ham Yard is truly a luxury experience.

Yelp
A colleague ate here during a work trip and enjoyed it so much she brought a group of us here the next day. Food/drinks: Very good! I started with hearty gluten free bread and a delightful spring salad. The poached fish dish with crayfish was okay: expertly cooked but lacked flavor. They had Ruinart blancs de blancs, which is my favorite and not easy to find, and an impressive selection of champagne and wines! I also appreciated the allergy friendly menu. Service: Excellent. My waiter was attentive and helpful to my dietary restrictions, alerting me of the GF bread when I didn't know! Ambiance: Also excellent. This place is beautiful and has different nooks and rooms that give it a different feel. We had a lovely table along the back wall, away from the crowds. Felt luxurious. It's $$$ but I'd come back and try a new dish!

Yelp
Our 5th day in London and we've tried a variety of cuisines/places (including Dishoom) and this was the BEST meal we had in London, hands down. Highly recommending getting the starters mentioned below and the pappardelle! Starters: Native lobster raviolo, steamed coastal greens, bisque, Exmoor caviar - Deeeelicious! The caviar is extremely salty though but didn't stop us from going back in for seconds! Sad that it's one large raviolo because it's so good! Venison tartare, grilled sourdough, cured egg - This was my favorite and actually a favorite of everyone's! The flavor combination was amazing. The venison was gamey but not overpowering. Burrata with pickled chard and gremolata - Good but have had better. Really like the plating of it though! Entrées: Monkfish Wellington - It was okay. I didn't particularly like it. The puff pastry was kind of soggy even without the gravy and I mainly tasted spinach more than anything else. Pappardelle, beef shin and tomato ragu - So good! The pappardelle was well-cooked and there's ample amounts of beef shin in the ragu. Drink: Un Paquito Picante - Spicy! Love the ginger and flavors but wow, it burns! Unfortunately, by the time I got my drink, the sugar rim was all melted and running down the glass. It was quite sticky and remained sticky to touch. Not sure if it was made and sitting there for a while or was sitting in a warmer spot. Waitress was very friendly but service was ridiculously SLOW. Understandable for a Saturday evening on Halloween weekend. We arrived for our 6 PM reservations at 5:34 and was immediately seated. Got our drinks like 45 minutes in and then maybe close to an hour later.. our starters and another 15-20 mins for entrées. Waitress felt bad and comped our drinks, which was super nice of her! Additionally, they have very cute china! My friend was obsessed.

Yelp
Not impressed - at all. The waitstaff has little to no knowledge of the teas, the service was non-existent. The tea was over steeped before it was brought to the table. The finger sandwiches were below average the bread was completely stale. The desserts were better than the sandwiches; however, they were not remarkable. Skip the Ham Yard afternoon tea. Very disappointing.

Yelp
Phenomenal experience last night with friends at Ham Yard Bar & Restaurant. Beautiful ambiance, with perfect lighting for an enjoyable intimate time with either a group of friends or date night. The service from beginning to end, exceeded our expectations. The food was stellar, modern European with enough rich flavor across all our dishes, without feeling too heavy - overall every choice our group had was excellent!! Will definitely be back!!

Yelp
We stumbled upon a little fancy meal that we were not expecting. After spending the day touring London, we saw this restaurant through the window and said what the heck! It turned out to have a sprinkle of fancy and luckily we didn't look a mess. The decor is classy but semi comfortable. Most definitely gave me what I imagine to be old London charm that definitely shows you have a few coins but still has some modern touches thrown in. The service for the night was awesome. Our waiter explained the menu, made awesome recommendations, kept the drinks flowing and bread coming. The bread was hard as hell but had a very good taste. I settled on the braised lamb and it was delicious and so tender. One of my companions settled on the duck and was raving about her dish as well. If you're looking for a classier dining experience and are nearby, I don't think you'd be disappointed. Just have your coin purse ready cause it's definitely not a cheaper option.

Yelp
We had an INCREDIBLE first dinner of our trip at Ham Yard. Our server (I think his name was Julian) was the sweetest! The atmosphere here was amazing - between the bustling bar, packed tables, lounge area, even the bathrooms... we were SUPER impressed with everything. We decided on the prix-fixe menu and loved each dish more than the next. While I know the menu changes often, I ordered a fig, duck, and leek appetizer which was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. For the entree, I decided on a fish dish with pancetta, peas, and other veggies. Finally, I ended with a blackberry pastry with sorbet. The complimentary glass of champagne was also delicious. We were pleasantly surprised by the affordability, service, and atmosphere of Ham Yard. Usually restaurant bars are far more expensive than others, but this one was absolutely perfect. I will be back on my next trip to London and will highly recommend this place to anyone I know who is visiting!

Yelp
I've had a lot of tea in London recently, and I'd have to put Ham Yard in the middle of the pack. The "festive" sweets were great - the Gingerbread eclair was perfection! Unfortunately, the scones were almost trying too hard to be visually perfect, and thus were missing their crumbling inside. The exterior texture left something to be desired and overall, they didn't taste as light and airy as I would have liked. There were two flavors of jam which was appreciated. Their selection of teas was average, and I actually found my selected green tea to over-steep very quickly, so my final 2 cups were very bitter. I'm not a tea brewing expert, so I can't explain how this can be avoided, but I haven't experienced this to such an extreme anywhere else. The service was wonderful, though there were issues with my reservation. I don't fault them for the reservations issues as I don't know what happened there, and they made every effort to give me the experience I had requested. The reservation was supposed to be for tea, but when I arrived, they handed me a lunch menu, lacking even a mention of tea. They were quick to reset the table and provide a new menu. I had spoken to someone by email about ordering Cream Tea rather than a full afternoon tea (I never enjoy the sandwiches), yet the waiter was confused when I asked for this, as it wasn't on the menu. Thankfully, once I explained I wanted tea and scones (and the sweets if possible) he kindly made all of my requests happen. They charged me a reasonable price (considering I ordered 3/4 of a standard afternoon tea, yet charged only half the price.). Experience 5/5, food and drink 3/5

Yelp
Dinner time. The service was very bad it toke 1 hour and 25 min to get the food after discussing the matter with the restaurant

Yelp
Great place for afternoon tea! It can be insanely hard to find an affordable yet quality place for afternoon tea in London, with an atmosphere to match, but Ham Yard delivers. The restaurant, inside its namesake hotel, is an elegantly designed place with shining silverware and diligent service. We got the standard afternoon tea, and the presentation was beautiful. I also really appreciated that the waiter who brought the tower (is that what you call it?) out took the time to describe what each one of the desserts were. Afternoon tea is a pretty uniform fare in that you usually know what you're getting, so details like these were really appreciated and helped differentiate the experience in a positive manner. I really loved that the scones were wrapped in their own napkin to retain their warmth, and the jam and clotted cream served in ramekins. The sandwiches were great and the desserts definitely of appropriate quality. Overall, a great place for afternoon tea that you can't go wrong with.

Yelp
Delicious! Totally surprised by the quality of the food and the cocktails matched beautifully. Large portions with quality ingredients, nice staff. We sat outside which was just warm enough in January to be enjoyable. Inside was a bit too much of a covid super spreader buffet for our taste.

Yelp
We stayed at this fabulous London Soho boutique hotel. The restaurant and bar provide a cool atmosphere with attentive service, inventive cuisine and crafty delicious cocktails. Seems to be a hot spot with locals and business types during the week. Definitely a great spot to hang out, sip on a beverage and enjoy some tasty appetizers.
google avatar

Christine R.

Yelp
Oh! Tea time is so cool. We had three types of teas: earl gray, white jasmine and Darjeeling. To tell you the truth, the scones were so good. I've had others in the past but nothing like the ones here.

Yelp
We ordered from the set lunch menu which came with two courses and a low alcoholic vermouth. I ordered the duck terrine and it was so soooo dry that it had the texture of canned tuna. Meaning I only ate a little bit of it. The hake was actually not bad but you had to order sides to make it a meal. In reality, if I knew what it was going to be like. I would've gone elsewhere to eat as the food and drink was not worth the money. In addition, we ordered a bottle of wine which took a very long time to arrive. In addition, the waiter placed it quite a distance away from us...which would have been ok if they topped up our glass. But they didn't, and we ended up having to get up and get the bottle ourselves instead. The service in general was ridiculously slow and it was near impossible to get anybody's attention and the restaurant wasn't even that busy. We spent 15-20 mins just trying to get the bill. We complained to one waiter who apologised and said he would be right back. He did not come back after 5mins or more so we had to get the attention of another waiter. Super disappointed with the experience and the food as the reviews were actually quite good. I only gave it 1 star out of 5 due to the hake and location. None of us will be returning.

Lucy M.

Yelp
Went here last night, and to be honest I was really disappointed. The wine took forever to arrive, they only served bread to half the table and when the food came it was really disappointing. I had the duck for my main and it was literally something I could easily whip up at home - the beetroot and spinach had nothing done to it. For £25 for a main, I expect more than just some slightly wilted spinach (with no flavour) and a baby beetroot that has been cut in half. I've paid similar prices for a main course in a Michelin star restaurant, so I don't know how they justify the price point for very mediocre food. The dauphinois potato was good. With some small refinements this place has potential. Sadly, on this occasion I was disappointed.

Yelp
Ham Yard's afternoon tea provides all of the fancy and delight of this English institution without the stuffiness. The general format is the same--beautiful china with tiers of scones, crustless finger sandwiches, savories, and sweets with tea. The sandwiches are a combination of more unique flavors like harissa chicken. The scones are perfection, and the savories are well done, too. By the time I made it to the sweets I was pretty much stuffed! Service is definitely less formal so don't expect to be waited on hand and foot, but it definitely feels more relaxed which can be a good thing. Plus the place is gorgeous!

Yelp
Came for afternoon tea with my boyfriend and his sister to celebrate his 30th birthday. Ordered afternoon tea for 3 with champagne. First only one glass of champagne arrived, no big deal the waiter came back with the other two. Then we were served one tower of cakes and sandwiches with 2 of each item (should be 3 as we're a party of 3) and no tea. Looked for our waiter to ask if this was correct and he was nowhere to be found. Asked another waiter to send our waiter over and he came back saying our waiter had to step out. At this point we're still without tea so we ask if we could get our tea and are finally brought 2 pots. At the end of the meal we receive a bill for 3 afternoon teas which is clearly not what we received asked the waiter to please correct this and he got the manager who rudely told us that we received tea for 3 and followed up with asking us why we hadn't told her before. Had never seen this woman and our waiter was nowhere to be found at the time of issue. On top of that they charged a 12.5% service fee yet we received barely any service. Would not recommend.

Yelp
Afternoon tea starts at £22 per person. Absolutely stunning interior decoration. You may choose between an Earl Grey or English Breakfast tea. The desserts are delightful. The sandwiches are yummy! My favorite was the salmon sandwich. Wonderful service. I'll be back!

Yelp
Came here for afternoon tea on our first day in London. We were very impressed with the ambiance, and both the tea itself and the sandwiches and pastries served with it were excellent. I gave four stars because our waiter forgot to give us more hot water for about 20 minutes, so by the time he finally brought more, we were ready to leave. Overall, however, this was a good, relatively reasonable choice for tea, which is a must-do for anyone visiting London!
google avatar

Ryan B.

Yelp
Wow! Great tea time. We came for lunch and enjoyed every layer of the tea tower. The mint tea was amazing. Highly recommend for anyone who come to London and wants tea.

Yelp
Booked afternoon tea here after going to Brumus, which is part of the same hotel group. Lovely setting, unfortunately service is a bit rubbish. We ordered 7 afternoon teas, with 1 gluten free option and a few teas and glasses of fizz. They got our order wrong and we were left waiting for a complete order, and it's not really nice to start when someone doesn't have their food. We had to ask several times for missing items to appear. The restaurant wasn't even that busy. The finger sandwiches were ok, the scones were a bit flat and small, but the petit fours were better. The meringue tart was amazing. So overall I would say it's all a bit style over substance. Will book Brumus again next time.

Yelp
We visited the Ham Yard for a work event - a Friday afternoon tea just before Valentine's Day. The decor is beautiful - modern and yet still comfortable. Service was also fantastic, with just the right level of attentiveness. The afternoon tea was plentiful and included sandwiches, savouries, pastries, cakes, scones and even lollipops! Our version was Valentines-themed, which was nice without being over the top, and the champagne we ordered was a nice addition. We moved to cocktails in the drawing room afterwards - what a treat! It is beautifully decorated and feels exclusive and cosy. We had great fun trying out the different cocktails on offer. I will definitely return at some point.
google avatar

Bill S.

Yelp
Outstanding bar. The mixologists are very friendly, creative and knowledgeable. They went out of their way to make us cocktails that we would enjoy. Great atmosphere too. Worth a stop before nearby dinner.
google avatar

Mei S.

Yelp
This hotel is a great venue for gala film screenings and premieres. The basement bar and cinema is ideal for such an event. The drinks and canapés are always good and plentiful. Staff friendly and welcoming. The Ladies are very luxurious, and roomy as befits the hotel. It's one of the nicest I have been in with sofa chairs, and nice and clean.
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Went here for dinner with a few friends. It's a nice enough atmosphere but a tad too dark for my liking. The service was very attentive and I couldn't fault that, but the food just didn't live up to the price. I had the burrata starter but it was very bland with butter nut squash. Needed a sharper flavour to contrast. The pasta was fine but too Al dente and flavours didn't blow me away. I wouldn't go back for that price point - I was expecting better.
google avatar

Kelsey C.

Yelp
Took FOREVER to get food. Maybe this is just a fancy restaurant thing, but it was almost an hour between when we ordered and when we got our order. Maybe this is so we'll order more drinks, which we did. The food itself was pretty good, not my usual fare but I liked it overall. The wait staff was pretty friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks.

Sharon B.

Yelp
I have only ever written a review once for a restaurant because it was so outstanding. I share this to indicate how strongly I feel about my food and wine experience at Ham Yard. I had the lobster pasta special. The pasta was so soft with a texture like it had been soaking for hours. The sauce was tasteless and diluted with excess pasta water. I asked for Parmesan cheese to try and give it some flavour. The cheese was oily and sweaty and tasteless. Not good quality at all. The Sommelier had no knowledge of the wines on the menu. She couldn't answer a single question regarding the three wines I inquired about. There are plenty of options to choose from I town. The ambiance is wonderful in the courtyard but bottom line, spend your money somewhere else.
google avatar

Carole D.

Yelp
In town for a conference and well decided to make the best of it, I ended up at Ham Yard with a (way too) long-time-no-see friend and champagne sipping intentions! When she told me to meet her in Picadilly, I was quite reluctant as I always associate the area with tourists (yes, I am one of them. technically. not spiritually...) and drunk-at-seven people (no, I am not one of them. point blank). Prejudice it was! The interior happily mixes industrial and wonderland romantic atmosphere, with a long greenhouse at the back, the bubbles menu is more than decent and the service is perfectly polished. But maybe not completely accurate... When asking advice on bubbles, the waitress just recommended either the cheapest or the most expensive bottle (mmmh, wonder how you picked those two???). Go for the "cep, field mushrooms and cream chees melts", they are the perfect top up on a bubbly night...
google avatar

E J.

Yelp
Had a wonderful afternoon tea here with my Mum. The staff were extremely accommodating to change the sandwiches to a more vegetarian suitable option and were attentive the whole duration of our tea. All the cakes were freshly made and delicious, along with a great selection of teas to pick from. The decor in the hotel is beautiful and a great place to take the parents when they're in town. If you can, try and get a table in the 'green house' section in the back of the restaurant.
google avatar

Patrick B.

Yelp
What a beautiful restaurant. It doesn't get much better than this. I very much enjoyed my breakfasts here... the service and atmosphere was comfortable, yet attentive and professional. The staff will make you feel like a regular, even on your first visit. The food was presented with style, and provided a perfect start to my day. I enjoyed everything I selected here... and their coffee was superb! I tried other restaurants while visiting London, but this was by far my favorite. The decor, the friendly staff, and attention to detail make this dining experience one of the best.

Yelp
*this review is for the bar at the hotel only* I take a great pride in being able to find Gelupo no matter how many Manhattans I had. I go out in Soho at least once a week, I love Soho oh and I know Soho. Imagine my confusion when I took a familiar turn and happened to be in a place that I've never been. Yep. Still in Soho, but I've never been here and it's not like I drank a lot before hand! New buildings (!) around me, a square with lit trees, a hotel? Yep. A new hotel on 1 Ham Yard (hence, the name I imagine...) Then I remembered that whenever I was out and about Archer street / eating my Gelupo ice cream, there used to be scaffolding and that street was closed. Inside of the hotel bar is very nice: simple, classic, chic without being pretentious. Though the cocktails are quite steeply priced (£11 for a Manhattan) it was one of the best Manhattans I've had recently. The music isn't too loud, you could still hear one another. Service is attentive and polite. I'm going back there again.

S K.

Yelp
We sat at the bar to have drinks. We were served promptly and the barmen were polite. It was pretty crowded when we went in, so if you really want a table, you should probably call in for a reservation.
google avatar

Nathalie H.

Yelp
I absolutely loved this place and would definitely recommend it to my friends and anyone looking to have high tea at a decent cost. The service was very good - we had a charming waiter who was polite and worked quickly. The actual restaurant/bar is beautiful, with a laid-back atmosphere. The little sandwiches we got, along with our tea, scones and sweet treats, were delicious. All for £21 per person! Definitely worth another visit - I will return soon.

Yelp
Now I must start this by saying I expect excellent service foe afternoon tea. For the amount of money paid, the whole idea is for treatment which is above and beyond. Now this is the reason for London being the centre for excellence in this regard. Unfortunately I think that the restaurants have lost their way and just consider this a money making exercise. The hamyard I think is another of these restaurants that although creates a very pleasant environment is not really understanding the purpose. So this was a freebie, from my friend as they had made a pigs ear( boom boom) of her 40th. I expect that restaurants should try particularly harder the second time round. Now not to say that it wasn't enjoyable, however there were a few items missing. The waitress was nice but unfortunately not present and therefore did not appear to realise the tea had not been served. So we received the tea half way through, which in my mind is not excellent. Also there was not an equal amount of cakes or sandwiches. I found this unprofessional overall and is my main reason for the 3 stars. The cakes and sandwiches were fine and the cups and saucers etc. Were very refined. So I challenge all of London and there afternoon tea sets to perform this function correctly because at present u r substandard and letting the side down. Enough of my spiel, time for tea.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place. No preconceptions so went in with a fairly open mind. Interior space was nice, vibe was good, service was attentive. Too bad the food didn't live up to it. Ordered the Dorset crab cocktail, ribeye steak and fillet steak. Very unimpressive meat quality and presentation. Wished the food was as creative as the interior decor.

Ariel G.

Yelp
I was there for afternoon tea with girlfriends. The place was not as fancy as Savoy but still sophisticated and neat. The afternoon tea was lovely, I particularly love their chicken sandwich. They tasted very "elegant". The chicken meat was tender with enough source, hugged by soft breads. It was not too savory to run over the smell of the tea, yet not sweet at all to mess up with the desserts on the second tier. Everything was just about right enough. I would recommend it to someone who is looking for a rather low-key but sophisticated afternoon with close friends or with business partners.

M J.

Yelp
Don't bother coming here if you are vegetarian! At a corporate party they ran out of vegetarian options within minutes and flat out refused to bring me anything else although I would have paid extra. At a family meal the veg option was potatoes and onions. That's all. Hugely disappointed. Starters and puds up to expected top standard though and meat eaters fine.
google avatar

David T.

Yelp
Don't even think of visiting this bar & restaurant.. Eastern Euro staff at the hotel entrance look you up & down like you are vermin.. and then if you try to get into the bar for a drink, they will tell you it's "full" and that "you have to wait half an hour to get a drink" .. even though it's empty! Due to its central location (albeit near tourist haunts, not for locals) they think they can treat guests like dirt here and get away with it. Stay away, unless you like to be treated like a rat by disrespectful staff !!

Yelp
British cuisine with impeccable and genuine service. We loved our experience here. Typically not London

Yelp
Absolutely impeccable experience. Did afternoon tea here at the recommendation of a local friend and loved every minute. I'll go back next time I'm in London. DELISH!!!

Had a great meal here after work with colleagues. Gin and tonic was refreshing even though the waiter checked three times which one I wanted! Scallops, tempura veg & crab starters with a crusty "loaf" of bread were delicious. The lamb was cooked perfectly and i particularly liked that the outside was crunchy but the inside was melt in your mouth soft! The apple crumble that followed was the best way of ending the meal and there was enough custard for me to drown it, no other way to have it. Portion sizes were generous but the service was a bit chaotic & forgetful; for a "fancy" restaurant I feel that not forgiveable. Great atmosphere! Would come back again

Yelp
Oh this place blew my mind with their fabulous Afternoon Tea Time service. We came a bit late for tea time but noticed these fabulous platters of cakes, sandwiches, biscuits and crumpets with teas on tables so we asked to please please still be served afternoon tea. The lovely server agreed and we were delighted. First off these hand crafted teas are the most fantastic teas I have ever tasted in my life and the presentation and snacks were just gorgeous. Everything I sampled from the platter was delightful and the food was plenty! I was absolutely impressed by this beautiful establishment, the fabulous service, food and tea!
