Single smash really hit the spot! Loved their sauce, has like a Cajun twist to it imo & the onion rings were well done. Wasn’t super busy so the food came out fast. Definitely recommend

Left a Dodgers game feeling hungry for smash burgers. After looking up 10 different joints nearby, Hammy's looked the most promising and it did not disappoint. This is an unassuming burger spot a few doors left from Teragram Ballroom. There is only street parking. The store is small, clean, with a bright organized kitchen. I ordered Double Smash and Single Smash both w/ lettuce tomatoes and pickles + a side of onion rings. Burgers came out piping HOT. Top of the top bun was toasted (in addition to the inside) which I appreciated because I've experienced other burgers where the veggies cool down the patty and bun too soon. Patty had crispy edges, while still retained its juiciness. The burgers also come properly dressed with their house sauce which I believe is a chipotle mayo(?). Very tasty. Onion rings were well-battered and solid. I'll probably try the fries next time. Burgers are reasonably priced between at $7-$12, which is fair in this economy (Sept 2024). Other smash burgers are going up to $20. Service was on point - shout out to the staff: Saeid, Sharon, and Nathan. They were kind, hospitable and ensured we were taken care of. I would definitely recommend Hammy's for anyone looking to get their burger fix. I will be returning when I'm in the area.

Pro-tip: Parking is hard. Good luck. Prepare to walk a couple blocks. Local Mom-n-pop spot in the outskirts of downtown and a good place to get a bite to eat after/before Telegram ballroom (right next door), or to clear your pre-gaming palate cravings before the downtown festivities begin at 12 am. On one hand the burger looks more wholesome, but the patty was super greasy and the edges weren't as crispy compared to the other recent smash-burger participants . Also, for those watching your weight/calories, there's good news: whispers --they put lettuce on the burger.

Decent burger spot in Downtown LA. I got a takeout order of the double smash burger with onion rings. I only had to wait around 5 minutes for them to complete my order, so it was pretty fast. The smash burger was tasty and the veggies seemed fresh, but the burger was way too greasy to the point it formed a pool of grease at the bottom of the container. The grease combined with the sauce made the burger too messy. It dripped everywhere and the liquid poured out of the container and into the bag which I did not like. The onion rings were pretty standard and good though, crispy and crunchy. Wish they gave me more dipping sauce for them. Overall, a decent experience here and the prices were pretty reasonable, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again.

So damn good. My first time ordering from HSB. I ordered today through DoorDash. They did not disappoint. This is my second time ordering or having a smash burger. The first time was so bad, I don't remember where I ordered it from. Anyway, HSB is a solid win, win. I ordered the Smash Jalapeño Burger and added cheese with raw onions, instead of grilled. They have a buy one get one free of fries or onion rings on DoorDash. I got the onion rings, crispy and delicious. They got my special request for raw onions and cheese correct, which equals good service imo. I can't wait to try other items on the menu. Ya'll already know, heavy rotation for burgers.

I ordered Hammy's via delivery through DoorDash. I work nearby and had a craving for a burger. It was delicious. Food was ready quick and was still hot when I got it. I wish I had ordered a double instead of a single. I forget how thin a smash burger can be. I will def be going back again the next time I am craving a burger. Their fries are seasoned well and have the right crunch.

I was in the neighborhood and decided to look up restaurants in the area. This place had good reviews, so I decided to try it. My sister and I both had the bacon smash burgers and added lettuce and pickles. It includes their special sauce and was delicious! We split the onion rings and cheese fries and those were good as well, but the cheese was a little much for us. Next time I would get the bacon smash again and try the regular fries! The employees were very nice and helpful. Overall, we loved it! 10/10

So glad I stopped by here for lunch! I got the jalapeño smash burger and this was so delicious and hit the spot. Every bite was so juicy and satisfying. The Hammy fries were also delicious and I liked how it was loaded.

I forget the last time I had in & out since I tried Hammys Smash burgers. They are not only tasty but filling. My go to is the BBQ bacon burger w/extra crispy bacon, onion ring, lettuce, and pickles. I've also tried the single smash and the bacon smash, I have yet to try the jalapeno smash which looks delicious. Now if you like fries you've got to try their Hammy Fries! Somehow the patty always comes out perfect and their special sauce just completes them! Their new location on 7th street is always clean and the staff is super nice and welcoming. Definitely come here if you're in the area and are looking for grade A quality burgers and good service.

Honestly, one of the best burgers I've ever had. I was very hungry when I went so that might've played into it, but there was tons of flavor, it was cheap, service was fast, and it was cooked very fresh and hot. I definitely want to go back. The location is a little bit strange a little bit outside of downtown.

I visited Hammy's on a weekday lunch. It is spartan ans clean. The menu is to the point, smash burgers. I was greeted by the attendant and my order was taken. I ordered a bacon cheese smash and fries. The food was prepared lighting fast and within 7 minutes I had a burger and fries. The taste was good and the patty was done right. The fries were solid.

A good smash burger - not my absolute favorite, but a solid choice for when the craving hits. The onion rings, though - now THAT was the showstopper. The perfectly seasoned, panko-crisped rings were part of an Uber eats delivery, but they retained their aggressive crispness despite having being in transit. Almost downed an entire (ostensibly shared) portion in one sitting by myself.

Parking can be kind of an issue as it is just street parking. The burger took about 7-8 min to make but you can tell it is all fresh ingredients. Having had the wave of smash burgers in LA, it was nice to have one that offered lettuce, tomato and pickle upon request at no additional charge. The fried onion ring in the center was crisp and flavorful and the patty was cooked to perfection. The bus was soft but strong enough to hold all of the food together. The only con was the area. Kinda sketchy, and there was a guy passed out on the floor of the street a few steps away from the establishment.

Discovered this place on accident when I came here looking for porkchetta republic, happy little accident. Gave it a try and got the Hammy fries which are fries,onions,melted cheese and smash burger patty. The fries are probally some of the best fries I've ever eaten nice and crispy with layers. The smash burger patty is flavorful and so is there ranch sauce! Will definitely come again!

Walked in this new burger joint and was excited because we don't have many burger stands in DTLA. The service was good. They cook to order so everything is made fresh. I tried the Bacon Smash burger with fries and onions to share. It was good enough. I think they should try a different bun. It was hard to enjoy with that thick breaded bun. Overall 4/5.

Drove down to LA for a concert at Teragram Ballroom, just a few doors from here. Needed something quick and easy to eat, and spotted this restaurant. So happy that we decided to give this a shot. I had the double smash burger and shared a side of the bacon cheese fries with a friend, who got the single smash burger. The burgers were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The fries had no right to taste as fantastic as they did! Super friendly staff topped off an excellent experience. Will absolutely be returning. Highly recommended.

Beef had bones in it - had to spit it out. Lettuce was old and soggy - had to remove it. Bacon was chewy - had to spit it out. Service wasn't great, they didn't give me a plate and only 2 napkins. Beef patty wasn't sized proportionate to the bun so it just fell apart. Overall bad tasting burger and bad service. Fries were terrible.

Totally craving a burger and found This place through Yelp. I had a delivery and was hesitant that I was going to get a cold burger, but it showed up nice and warm. I could only imagine what it would be like if I were to go there in person. I had a double smashed cheeseburger, and it was absolutely delicious and I ordered the onion rings, and they were outstanding some of the best I've had in a very . This is a smash burger for someone that doesn't know what a good burger tastes like. Maybe the worst smash burger I've ever had. Such a bummer, go just about anywhere else

The burger had this weird taste and they seasoned it so heavily it was inedible. Disappointing considering the good things i heard. Their fries were very good but unfortunately if your main star is cheeks, not much reason to go back.

Best burgers I've had to date. I loved the sauce the lettuce was crisp, it was AMAZING. Ate at the location outside on the bench so I got it as fresh as you can.

I came to echo park eats to pick up a schwarma order from another vendor. They cancelled my order as I walked in and I was pissed. Dude who runs Hammys came in and was like "lemme make you a burger" I agreed. Best decision. This burger SLAPS. it's soooo good. Please support Hammys! Not just food. But I def think it's great food with soul.

I've been looking for a decent smash burger in LA for a while now, and I'm so happy this place opened up in Echo Park! I ordered the double smash and it was SO good, from the bun to the fresh, crisp lettuce to the amazing burger itself...this is the best smash burger I've ever had. The fries and onion rings are super crispy and very flavorful. I highly recommend and am making this spot part of my weekly rotation.

I've been in love with this restaurant in Fresno, so I was happy that they opened in LA too. I noticed some slight differences. The buns are a bit sweet I didn't feel this from Fresno ones. Also no yellow chili peppers, this's my favorite with burgers. But overall, it's still good!
